Nice place, live band, good atmosphere but very expensive for drinks.

This is a Fantastic pub, and always low drink prices, the bar staff are very friendly and the entertainment they have on are always amazing

Good bar if you like bands blasting music so loud you have to shout in the bar maids ear to order a pint. Finished the pint and left. If you like bands during the day then this is your place.

Friendly staff, good selection of beers. Beer garden at back with heaters for those chillier days. Small beer garden out front also to watch the world go by. Plenty of space inside as well.

Went to the olde red lion for quiz night (Monday) with some friends, the pub has a lovely community atmosphere. Really enjoyed myself and will definitely be returning!

This is a great venue to watch live music and a great atmosphere.

It was my first visit here but I’d seen the pub had made an effort to improve their outside and so was interested to see what it was like. The owners gave us a warm welcome, there was a good selection of music being played and the layout of the pub was good. The outside was great, seats at both front and back but in the back there is a huge covered space with heating (coin operated so at least doesn’t waste what isn’t being used). Quiz nights and live music are available so a full range of entertainment available. All round a great visit

So just been kicked out of the Olde Red Lion because we have a dog! He is very well behaved and caused no issues, no barking or anything. He was on his lead and under the table not causing any trouble with people stopping and saying hello. Today we have been to the White Lion, Halfway House and the Chimneys where we had food, and all of them welcomed well behaved dogs. So dog lovers in Ellesmere Port be aware the Oldie Red Lion is very Olide fashioned in its ways! We shall never return, sad times when people look to dogs for company and their mental health more than ever these days.

A good friendly pub with live music most weeks. There are outside seating areas at the front and covered seating areas at the back with heaters. There is also a good sized car park to the rear.

Been going to this pub for yrs, it has had a lovely spruce up since lockdown and must say it's fabulous outdoor seating with heating and lights and now live bands are back 👌👍👍

Great live bands, one band, Dr Strangelove, were superb.

It's a great place on a Saturday for entertainment but not impressed with getting charged an extra quid for my round than previous when the owner served me. (£7.20 with a normal barman then owner £8.20). Apart from that brilliant place for entertainment.

Nice pub. Drinks were good and the staff were helpful and friendly. Toilets are clean. The live music was a bit meh, they spent more time getting their sound sorted than they did actually performing which was annoying.
