Oh those lovely pizzas you can eat while looking at the authentic pizza oven. The staff is friendly and attentive. Nice location and atmosphere.

Nice! Great Pizzas. It just feels a bit modern to me, even though it's probably been around before God was born! 🤣 Reasonable prices and plenty of space with a large beer garden. Limited parking but if you're electric you can charge your car there. Great bar staff and service. 4 stars only because I prefer a smaller pub like atmosphere. Highly recommended for a meal and a pint.

First of all I'll say we were greeted by friendly people and the food we were able to order was really good, but our experience was marred by the ordering system. There was a QR code ordering thing on the table, which wasn't working for some reason, so we had to order at the bar. We were a party of 8 booked in for Mother's Day and I would not bring a party of guests again. There was no way of knowing which food had run out until we went to order at the bar, which, when you've got so many people ordering, can be frustrating, and a lot of food had run out. One of our party was vegetarian and one was vegan due to a dairy allergy. They were both really looking forward to the delicious sounding Butternut Squash roast, only to be told that had run out. This was especially difficult for the vegan who was a child and it was stressful for the parents to find something else for him to have. He ended up with the potato tots. The vegetarian had to go with the Margherita pizza, which was tasty but really not what they expected to be eating for this meal. It made what was expected to be a nice family meal out quite hard. I'm glad so many other people have had a good experience here but it didn't happen for us unfortunately.

The shroom pizza is amazing. The waitress, named Bella was very friendly especially when she checked if we enjoyed food and asked if we ready for the table to be cleared.

Amazing pub. Amazing staff. Amazing pizzas! The Toni pizza is a staple for those who like Pepperoni. Tried the Hombre for the first time and it was great, kind of like tasty nacho toppings on a pizza! Defo recommended.

Can’t fault this place. Both of us had pizza and the chicken wings,came out super hot & looked the business. I’ll whisper this quietly “couldn’t quite finish it”. This place is a little out of the way for us otherwise I’d be back double quick.

Always a pleasure never a chore

Bored staff did not tell me to register the car. Paid cash for drinks so no receipt. Parked for 30 minutes and got stung for £60 parking. Shocking.

Just dropped in for a pint or two with a friend. Friendly bar staff, great selection of a local, Bedfordshire, small brewery Ales. Didn't eat hear having had a curry in town.

Only called in as we had a meal voucher with this group. Wow what a great experience, all the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. The food too we had the lasagna was really tasty, and piping hot, all served with a smile. Looking forward to going back again with other family members.

We had a lovely time at The Old White Horse. The food was lovely and we could hire a whole room to ourselves, which didn’t cost anything extra. Perfect a group catch up!

We had a beautifully made pizza at the OWH last night. The goat's cheese, caramelised onion and rocket flavours really worked very well together. We also asked for an egg to be added which added to the taste and texture. Every member of staff there is delightful and so welcoming which helps make a friendly, warm atmosphere. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a great establishment on our doorstep. We will, of course, be back!! Many thanks to all - both front of house and in the kitchen.

Can't fault these guys. Food was amazing and menu is such a change from just Sunday roast. Can't fault the food at all, service was great and good atmosphere. Everyone agreed the pizzas were really good and would definitely recommend and the beef brisket lasagne, well, never had a lasagne like it before and again would recommend giving it a try. Many thanks to everyone for making our Sunday afternoon great.

I feel as a matter of record I should share my fathers experience of the Old White Horse's parking fine fiasco. The pub is a good place to meet, and was chosen for around twelve members of my family to meet for light food and drinks. My father, who's in his eighties, drove from a nearby village. A week later, he received a parking fine. I called the pub manager who said he would have the fine cancelled and not to worry about any further correspondence. He has now received a letter from a bailiff with the fine increased to £170.00! The parking company have passed my fathers 'case' on and consider it out of their hands. I've called the manager again, but after mailing everyone from pub, bailiff, brewery to parking company, I still have no written confirmation that my father is not going to be fined or taken to court. You can imagine his concern (and mine). I attended too (but thankfully walked) and I noted that pub staff do not remind patrons to register, leaving the onus on them to read the signs. I wonder how many people have just paid the fine and put it down to a bad experience. I am not confident at all about the outcome of this.

Great food. Great atmosphere. The kind of pub you can come to day to day but also for a nice do. Great quiz by Ash. Easy parking (but make sure you enter your reg on the tablet by the bar/door). We come for the quizzes as a group but there was a really special one for Feed Up Warm Up tonight that was great. They regularly do some amazing stuff for the community and for the people of Baldock especially around Christmas. An absolute gem in the Baldock crown.

Ash and everyone in the team are great! Good food and fun quizzes, highly recommend! For Christmas they donated all quiz earnings to feed up warm up which is great. For those with cars the vehicle registration is quick and easy, with a tablet right by the door (you’d have to be an idiot to miss it) Also cater for gluten free people!

Our go to pub in Baldock!! The staff are always friendly and give great new recommendations! We recently took part in Ash’s Quiz which was for a great cause - feed up warm up, a charity supporting the local community. There’s also free parking for customers which is handy for being in town, just have to remember to write your reg in the tablet!!

I recently hosted a Christmas dinner for my clients at The Old White Horse, and it was an absolute delight! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious—each dish was a hit. Our waitress, Sarah, was a true star; she was attentive, friendly, and ensured everyone felt well taken care of throughout the evening. The manager, Jack, was very accommodating and professional when I was planning the meal. The atmosphere in the pub was wonderfully festive, with a fun yet relaxed vibe that made it the perfect setting for our celebration. A huge thank you to the team for making our event so memorable—I can't recommend The Old White Horse enough!

A pub with great seating areas and a cracking menu. The staff are always friendly. Ideal for a quick pint or a tasty pizza. My visit was on a Friday and the place was incredibly busy (standing room only) which was great to see.

This pub is absolutely incredible! If you are near or even a bit far away from here you have to go and give their pizzas a try! They even got to the finals of the national pizza awards! The whole team is lovely, Josh’s service on the bar was awesome and he seemed to be always smiling and chatting away with the regulars. We’ll certainly be adding this to our ‘must stop at’ list!

Went in there for lunch about 2 weeks ago, ..... just had a parking ticket for parking in their car park n not registering my registration at bar!! No one told me I had to!!!! Scam!!!

Extremely disappointed with our recent visit, booked a table for 16:00 on a Sunday and was not told over the phone that roast dinners will have stopped being served then despite asking if roast dinners were on the menu earlier in the conversation. Drove to the pub only to be told we couldn’t have a roast, so we left to go elsewhere, no mention of need to put our reg in the computer system! So today have recieved a £100 fine for being in their car park for 12 minutes!

Having been to different pubs in different places for many years, this might be my favourite pub ever. Absolutely packed at 5pm on a Sunday afternoon. Everyone smiling. Great staff and great food. I couldn't be happier.

Lovely place to meet up with friends, very reasonable prices on food and drink, friendlt staff and relaxing environment.

Booked to have Sunday roast. When we got there a member of staff pointed to a table and said we could sit there. No-one came to take our order so after a while we ordered drinks via QR code, the drinks were not delivered to our table, we saw the drinks sitting at the bar for a long while before we decided to go get them ourselves. Still, no-one had come to take our food order - Sunday roast cannot be ordered via QR code - so we managed to get the attention of a staff member who told us to order at the bar, only to be told there was no Sunday roast! Cannot judge the food as didn't get any, but the service and the atmosphere was let down by immature staff. And we will not be visiting again.

Smell of somebody smoking drugs in the beer garden was not good.

We often come here for 2-4-1 pizza Mondays as a group. The team are always happy to accommodate a large table and the quality of the food or service goes un-impacted. Really good vegan options and an affordable spot to grab a pizza and catch up with friends. Friendly and helpful team, especially Josh who is always super accommodating and great customer service!

Great little bar in Baldock! Son and his fiancé took us there for supper, which was great, especially the pizza which we watched being cooked! Service awesome, staff managed to squeeze us in between reservations during a busy time, great way to look after your customers! Will certainly be back on our next visit!
