Had numerous calls from this establishment claiming to be my mobile phone operator. Became quite agitated and finally rang the business back complaining that I had been on night shift and did not appreciate one of their staff playing prank calls. Only to be called a spook and a spoof. Utterly fuming that the management cannot or don't monitor use of there facilities. Have reported this and blocked the number as it continued after my initial complaint.

Had to kill about 30 minutes to wait for a bus on a hot July afternoon, so called in for a quick drink with friends, The pub was quite busy as the TV was showing England thrashing Australia in the semi final of the cricket world cup. ( A game which we won by 8 wickets). Anyway back to the pub, - there was a very good choice of beer and I selected Marston's 61 Deep, which I hadn't seen before. Nice pint - we would have liked to have stopped longer, and sampled some more real ale....but we had a bus to catch!

The locals where great the beer great and Josh loved playing pool with the locals.

Pleasant old style pub with lovely beer garden. Friendly staff. I only give this three blobs because we wanted two meals for £9.99 but the 5oz gammon was sold out as was the steak pie. So I went for a giant Yorkshire pudding filled with mince and vegetables plus a bowl of chips, the filling was very tasty and I ate it all but left the Y pudding and most of the chips as it just seemed all rather stodgy. My wife had the burger with bacon and cheese, a real plateful. The burger wasn't home made though and not as good as most pub burgers these days. No complaints though at just over five pounds over meal but I'd rather pay more and get better quality and less stodge. Nice pub and garden though, call in for a drink and form your own opinion before ordering food.

Every time I go there I see a new ale on tap for me to try and after all this you are met with a bill which even those on a tight budget can afford. To say you can get a meal for just a fiver doesnt let you imagine how much food you get, all good quality and if you have room the puddings are cheap aswell. My husband,me and 3 friends decided to go to The Old Ship Inn after reading the good reviews,we weren't disappointed,I had the surf and turf without the surf as I don't like scampi so Dicko made me onion rings instead and it was brilliant,my husband said the steak and ale pie was the best he'd ever had,our friends had chicken chasseur, gammon and surf and turf and they said theirs was brilliant too.The home made chips were to die for, real proper chips.we're going again on Friday then again on sunday for the sunday lunch we've heard is fantastic.Well done Dicko and the friendly staff.

We went with some friends of ours who are pretty plain eaters and after looking at reviews decided that this was ideal place. great old world pub with good beers and excellent menu. Met Steve the chef who is a jolly lad! Looks like he enjoys his food. Was well cooked food served by Steve and was extremely well priced. Feel a bit guilty for the 4 rating and a pity can't scored a half as well. Reason for the score was the microwaved pastry. Would have been 5 if not for that but meat in meat pie was excellent as were Steves renowned chips. Will go again.

We decided to have a walk and grab something to eat and went into the Old Ship Inn. We ordered the steak and ale pie with chips. The meal that we had far exceeded our expectations of a bar snack. You could not have expected better at a 5* restaurant. The meat was tender, tasty, extremely well cooked and the chips were proper chips not frozen rubbish. It is only a stones throw from our home and I have no idea why we haven't eaten there before, but we will definitely be eating there again. Excellent food, friendly staff, and excellent value.

We ate quite late in the evening just as the kitchen was shutting, so just scraped in with our order.Meals were excellent value for money (2 for £10!) and whilst not excellent were good quality home made food and better than your 'average' pub fare - proper hand made chips too.Service was excellent and with a smile, and desserts were available to us even though Steve (the chef) had finished his shift about 20 mins before he served us personally with delicious hot chocolate fudge cake & ice cream - yum!Nice pub with good food, I suspect the food would have been better if we had arrived when the kitchen was fully open rather than when it was just about closed.

I have been to the Old Ship several times, when i'm in Bridlington & I have to say that I have never been disappointed.Either by the food, which I have to say is excellent.Great choice, freshly cooked & VERY generous portions.I've tried most of tthe menu, from their brilliant burgers to their very moreish sunday lunches. What can I say about the bar staff.Well it makes such a nice change,to go into a pub where the staff are happy to serve you,not just there to take your money. It is a place where a woman can go,on her own & feel comfortable.Over the years,I have got to know the landlord & landlady quite well & I have to say what lovely people they are.I always look forward to my visits to the Ship, because I know I am assured of a warm welcome, great food & a good laugh.I would not hesitate in recommendingThe Old Ship Inn to anyone.

It had been a while since we'd visited The Old Ship so decided it was time to go again & we were not disappointed. Five us went for an early evening meal & four of us chose from the from the extensive "2 for £9.99" menu the other opting for a filled jacket potato which she really enjoyed. The breaded plaice was pronounced superb and the cheese & broccoli vegetarian option excellent. Along with the other member of our party I'd decided on the steak pie & we were more than satisfied with the succulent large pieces of steak & tender pastry served with chips & peas. The Old Ship is much bigger than it looks from outside & on a cold wintry night the warm welcome & friendly & obliging staff combined with well cooked good value wholesome food really hit the spot! We'll certainly be going again.

Visited with a friend whilst walking. We were greeted by the landlord, even though we were both dripping wet!Good choice of food on offer and we opted for the beef baguettes from the 'specials board'. Good beer choice as well, not just the 'usual suspects'.When the food came the baguette contained 5 slices of excellent roast beef, as was accompanied by a good portion of home-made chips plus a nice salad. Excellent value at £4.50.Landlord was a very pleasant chap and seemed to do the cooking as well.Maybe if all pubs gave value like this and provided a similar atmosphere, not so may would be closing. If you find yourself in Bridlington, go out of your way to visit this fine hostelry.

local friendly pub on top of cliff area following the coastal walk towards Sewerby, , where alot of locals do go; great pub grub and filling, a bit holiday campus type inside main area and pool tables machines, lounge bar old wooden seating, and a bit more historial look to it on other side, gets very busy in summer with all the holiday makers visiting, great seating areas outside, kid and dog friendly, big kids play area ropes and swings etc, great spot in summer huge trees for shade on green before clifftops down to beach, great walking area.

We stopped in on a Tuesday late afternoon. There was only one table occupied so it was nice and quiet. We both had double scoop cones. There were loads of ice cream flavours to choose from. Yummy.

We booked into the lodges next to the Gardeners Inn and decided to walk around for dinner & drinks. The venue is decorated for Halloween which I did enjoy and we had a lovely welcome from the waitress. A few item were sold out but the menu was plentiful and the food did not disappoint. I had the sizzling hunters chicken and my partner had Korean Chicken. Portion size was fantastic the side salad & slaw was fresh, definitely the best hunters chicken I’ve had. Banoffee Pie & cream for dessert again it was better than any other I’ve tried. Lovely atmosphere, service time felt right for the number of tables eating and the price was reasonable. Would recommend 100%

First visit to this lovely little restaurant to celebrate 🍾 both Mother’s Day and my wife's 60th birthday and we were not disappointed! The setting in the window table with background music and plenty of space was perfect. We ate off the a la carte menu and we both had three courses complimented by a bottle of fizz. Each course was food heaven and the service was exceptional so we will be returning for the Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday in April. Thank you
