Fantastic food, probably the best burger I’ve ever had, served by a lovely lady called Julia. I cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely be back.

We visited you on Saturday evening with friends for a meal and we would like to say how much we enjoyed the evening. From the moment we walked in your staff were all very friendly, polite and nothing was to much trouble, we were made to feel very welcome. The Ham and Bacon pie was the best we have ever had and our compliments to the chef. Thank you for a most enjoyable evening, we will be back.

First time visit today on a Friday lunchtime. A very warm welcome, fantastic food, great service and amazing local gin!! The staff couldn’t have been more attentive, friendly or informative. They made it a lovely afternoon. Would highly recommend!

Lovely restaurant with attentive staff and delicious menu. We had steak and moules frites. Very nice indeed. Will look forward to returning in the summer to sit on the terrace with its amazing view.

Lovely lunch Saturday afternoon. Staff were friendly, didn't mind us bringing our dog. My friend and I both had a delicious gluten free burger. Will definitely be visiting again.

Really enjoyed the good quality food provided and superb service but would like a bit more for veggies. I ended up with a really nice pizza, but I wanted something lighter really. The serving staff were great, suggesting I select different things for my pizza, and my husband’s liver was perfect. He also called in during the afternoon and really enjoyed the soup.

We didn't have any food there. We went for drinks. But still great service and it's such a cosy pub to go to, with a lovely view from the back of the pub.

Had Sunday lunch here today (21/01/24) Was a little disappointed at the limited starter menu (no prawn cocktail as mentioned on the internet) The main course was ok but nothing special with the roast potatoes very hard and difficult to cut and the yorkshire pudding different. The service was excellent and the ambience very good, just a little disappointing as we had been recommended to eat here by good friends and left feeling we had paid top price for at best an average meal

Wonderful views from the garden which overlooks the valley. Great spot to watch the sun go down with a drink in hand. Cosy inside with log burner and lovely food.

My boyfriend is always good at finding places to eat. When we walked into this place we loved the place instantly. We ate lunch as a four in the restaurant part and the decor was beautiful. Our servers were lovely and polite. There was a member of staff who I assume is the landlady or the manager who asked us how we found the place. She told us they are known for the views in the back garden, so after we ate we went out to have a look. The views are absolutely beautiful. I can only imagine how popular it is there in the Summer. I had the gammon, egg and chips but swapped my chips for broccoli which they were more than happy to do. My boyfriend and our friend both got the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and both of them said that it tasted great. Our other friend got the sausage sandwich. All of us were impressed with the taste and portion sizes. My gammon was cold (which I was expecting hot gammon) but it was more like a sandwich gammon, so was fine eating it cold. My only negative was that my friend is dairy intolerant, and there was no dairy free milk options for hot drinks. I am also dairy intolerant, but this didn't affect me as I was not going to have a hot drink.

Fantastic little pub located in the charming village of Great Brickhill. Great attentive and friendly service from the start. We were ordering from the lunch menu but had a great Philly cheesteak ciabatta which was very tasty - hard to find a good steak baguette without the steak being awful quality but this was really nice. View from back garden is stunning, well worth a visit.

Lovely old pub in Great Brickhill. Service was attentive, food was great and good selection of drinks. Only downside it was very quiet for a Thursday night so lacked atmosphere. Will definitely return and try a tapas night or pizza!

First visit for a family lunch for six people. Food brilliant, service prompt, attentive and friendly. Good selection of food and value for money. Hope to go again.

Visited the Old Red Lion on a Saturday evening, as close to an AirB&B we stayed at. Great welcome from friendly staff, who were excellent. Down to one chef on our visit, so a small delay, but this was explained before we ordered, which is a welcome change to other places we've been to in the past who give you no info on any issues. Staff were efficient and seemed genuinely interested in us and how we were looked after. Food and drinks were excellent. We liked it so much, that when looking for somewhere for a Sunday lunch, we rebooted here and were lucky to get a cancellation! Food, drink and service were equally as good. Probably worth getting a reservation very busy (Understandable given how good the food and drink was) Highly recommend.

Nestled in a little village in MK called Great Brickhill is this cute & cosy pub that has some beautiful views from the garden area to enjoy! 🌅 This place was a perfect way to spend our Sunday with some quite amazing roast dinners 🍽️ Below is what we had: Drinks: • Hot chocolates - we cosied up with a hot chocolate that had some delicious homemade shortbread on the side which were very moreish! ☕️ Food: • Slow braised pork belly roast • Slow roasted beef roast All I can say is WOW, both roasts were pretty damn amazing! The meats were succulent and not chewy at all. Served with root vegetables, roast potatoes & steamed veg with red wine gravy to pour which was delicious & homemade Yorkshire puddings, the pork belly comes with stuffing too 😍 I highly recommend trying out the roasts, you will leave feeling happy & full for sure! 😄 The service was brilliant, thank you to Julia for taking care of us and providing a service with a smile ☺️

Cycled from Rushmere park to the pub for pizza. Ordered two burgers and they were very delicious. Very cosy decor and beautiful big garden with views. Friendly staff

I attended a fantastic wedding party at the Old Red Lion. Does not do them often but it is a brilliant outside location for one. The long garden seems to reach out to the stunning sunset and the view is just the best. The staff were excellent and did all they could for the evening. The decking area provided a great dance floor and the patio heaters kept the drinkers warm when the sun went down. The wood oven pizzas produced in the garden were superb and among the best I have had. The bar sticks excellent ales and wines and all tastes are catered for. A tremendous night to celebrate a beautiful wedding. The Old Red Lion did us proud.

I'm really not sure how the reviews were so high maybe it was a bad day for the staff, lovely pub, fantastic view, the food was to the standard of a above average pub restaurant - mostly fresh ingredients, the pizzette with garlic and mozzarella unfortunately just tasted of rosemary, really strongly and unfortunately I couldn't taste anything apart from that lovely texture to the bread though, I had a schnitzel which unfortunately was a little over cooked and received chips (which sadly were from a packet) instead of sautéed potatoes, might I add without staff coming to ask, my partner also ordered sautéed potatoes, which were replaced with chips, the staff were nowhere to be seen in general to ask about the meal or ask if we'd like any drinks. Shame really. Price point is average for pub food.

We want to support local pubs and went yesterday. We ordered our meals at around 7.15pm and they turned up at 8.45pm! Yes, it was a sunny evening and they were busy but the nice weather wasn't a suprise so it didn't take a genius to know you have to gear up accordingly. I felt sorry for the girls serving who were clearly overstretched and i gathered the kitchen closed early as they couldn't cope. 90 minutes for what turned out to be a very underwhelming plate of food. We had taken friends there and felt very embarrassed for having recommended it.

We regularly visit for drinks and have eaten a few times (first three pics from a previous visit). Last night we were tempted by the yummy pizzas! Service was fab considering the temperatures and how busy they'd been all afternoon. Love this pub and would recommend to anyone 😁

I had a table for 16 for my birthday and the team made it effortless. The food was amazing, they went above and beyond and allowed us to stay in the garden for the rest of the afternoon. Thank you

Great staff and views to chill and grab a drink.

Authentic pub interior with a large garden looking out to a spectacular view. Some outside covered space in case it’s raining too. Service was polite and attentive. Good selection of drinks. Some zero beers. Food is varied and fairly priced. The burger was a proper decent burger. Very tasty. Soup of the day was also lovely. Only 10 minutes from the centre of Milton Keynes so worth a drive out if you are in the city. Parking is a bit tricky. Usually spaces on the road. Happily return and thoroughly recommend.

Nice country pub with a good garden at the back with views over the valley and countryside. Food is reasonable. Could do with more beer choices but perhaps there is not the volume here.

Visited for a birthday celebration, lots of good finger food and salads. Great view from the back terrace. Parking is on street only and challenging at busy times.

We stopped off here after our woodland walk. We had a drink and sat out the back on the decking area. The staff were very friendly and the pub was clean and welcoming.

Lunch for the two of us, our first visit and unlikely to be our last. Poor weather meant sitting inside; pity... the garden looked like a lovely place to be. Good menu - for us - with sandwiches, pizzas and more substantial meals.

Had a very nice meal here tonight, the service was spot on very friendly staff. Well done! Wish the weather had been nice the view was amazing even in the rain. Looking forward to returning next time we are in the area.

Recently held my family reunion here. Julia was excellent and ensured that everything ran smoothly. Easily held a function for 30 people in the side room. Food was great quality and was able to cater for a range of dietary needs.

A solid countryside pub with a beautiful garden and good food

Fantastic pub, great food and service however, when I called and asked about the Vegan menu the staff said we have a lot to choose from. A little disappointed as most options said not available on Sunday and only one option was available suited for vegans. Great pub though.

Absolutely brilliant pub. The pub itself is clean and well kept, the decoration is modern but suitable for such an old building. The toilets were absolutely immaculate. The drinks choice, while a little expensive, was good, need to carbonate the Fizzy drinks a bit more though. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The real treat is the drinking garden which boasts stunning views. I would highly recommend this pub

The food is still good and the staff were lovely and well informed about the menu etc. But the service was glacial. Admittedly we were a table of 10 but we were all sat down at 5:45. At 9pm some of us had to leave without having desert.

Four of us had an excellent lunch here in glorious sunshine. In a pretty village near Bletchley and Leighton Buzzard. Pub has a large terraced garden with a lovely view over the Ouzel valley. The food was very nice and good value. Puddings are very tempting and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.

A lovely pub which has the advantage (for me) of being an easy and pleasant walking distance from my house. I've not eaten here yet, but the beer is good, and the view out the back is the best of any pub I've known. Highly recommended.

Attended my cousins wedding reception at this absolutely amazing venue this Friday !! The building is in a quaint little village and it is really quite a stunning pub !!! The Ken appeal is great and when you enter you are not disappointed at all !! The bars are decorated stylishly , comfortable and inviting. The there's the outside !! WOW !! What a view !! Each terrace is well positioned , plenty of seating & so clean . The food was top notch , a great variety on offer we had banging burgers , lamb koftas all sorts of salads to name just a few bits from the menu !! And an ice cream bar to top it all off. But the shinning star is the team !! Every person we spoke to was warm and welcoming nothing was too much trouble for them, even when people arrived late they went into the kitchens and came back with plates of delicious food for them . A highly professional and well orchestrated team , everything done with no fuss and so swift just amazing ! We will definitely be returning and soon ! Can't recommend this venue enough !!!

Just wow never been before went to brickstock so popped to the pub for one must say it's a nice pub staff friendly food looked good didn't eat but the beer garden is the best view around for a chilled lager and relaxing lots of seating look forward to returning

For outdoor seating with a view 5 stars. Book on weekends as popular. For pizza and food 😞 sad face. It was not busy and we waited over an hour for our food, with an apology but nothing to rectify this. The pumpkin pizza seriously lacked flavour and the rosemary is thrown on after not cooked on the pizza. The dough was exactly like a store bought one.

Staying locally so popped in for a couple of drinks one afternoon. Unfortunately their chef was off so no food being served but we had asked ahead so aware of the situation. Great manager- only patrons in the bar for a while ( mid week early evening) so got great service and a friendly chat! Would like to return for food if passing in the area again ! Garden looked amazing but unfortunately was a wet afternoon on this occasion.

To keep this brief. Booked a table for 4, a limited menu which is not detrimental, however, then was told 50% of the menu was off. So we just had a main course. Steaks were not good and salmon over cooked. Just felt the need to pay and go. Not a great experience. Think the staff realised we were not happy but did little to rectify

Purchased. 1 x pt Guinness 1 x large Pinot Grigio 2 x pkt crisps £18.10 😡 Looked on THEIR webpage. Drinks should have been around £12 so I challenged manager that I had been overcharged 🤔 Answer was that Webpage was OUT OF DATE and that the large Pinot Grigio was £9 ........ no it wasn't for the bottle but was for one glass. DISCUSTING we won't be going there again. Be warned!

Tasty food but Child's portions. No capers in Tartare sauce. Think it was both staff's first day as Had to ask manager what cider was on tap. Will try again in summer.

Not normally open on a Tuesday, this year The Old Red Lion opened on February 14th for a Valentine’s Day special dinner. They served a cut down menu of dishes to share, and the food was just fabulous. Bruschetta to start, followed by a scrumptious seafood medley with salad, chips and bread to mop up the creamy seafood sauce. Just gorgeous. The dining room was set out in tables of two and subtly lit with fairy lights and candles. Service was excellent, friendly, and efficient. Very reasonable prices. This was my first visit to the Old Red Lion, but it won’t be my last. Totally recommended.

As a local we regularly visit this venue. It is a bit hit and miss regarding when the chef decides to open or close but the quality of the food is excellent. It is reasonably priced for a local pub and service is great. Marketing...

Dropped by quickly after a round of golf. .. A GREAT PUB!! Firstly what a view from the garden!! Secondly the staff were very friendly and very accommodating (even though we hadn't booked.) Finally the food was superb and service was quick and efficient. Many thanks to all the staff , looking forward to our next visit.

A vilage pub without a car park, although there is a fair amount of street parking. Drinks wer difficult, it ll took time and there was no draft cyder, they don't have "normal" cyder on draft, but normally one of those with other frute, but even that was out. Had fish and chips, long wate but nicely cooked, but for the price it was a small piece of fish.

My friend had a function here and the staff were great and very accommodating. We were very impressed with the service of everyone here, we also found this pub to have a really nice ambiance with a good selection of beers 🍻 Thank you all.
