Old Queen Street Cafe in City of London, Westminster

For Japanese people, the English breakfast would probably cost around 1,500 yen at best. The yen is weak and prices are rising, but even taking that into account, I don't think it's worth going.

Delicious selection for traditional and modern breakfast. Food and service was great!

Fantastic service, all the staff were very attentive and helpful. I had a busy morning on trains and tubes, on a rare warm sunny day, so I was desperately hot and in need to sit down for a cold drink and breakfast. It was an oasis amongst a very busy Westminster!

A real hidden Gem - what a wonderful atmosphere . The staff were so attentive , making us feel very special- thanks Michael and Lincoln . Really enjoyed our lunch - loved the decor and the whole vibe of the place - we will definitely return

Creo que Westminster ha estado echando de menos una buena cervecería durante muchos años - Old Queen street café fue abierto hace 2 años y es justo lo que Westminster necesita. Fuimos en un lunes por la noche tan razonablemente tranquilo pero todavía con buen ambiente. El personal era muy amable. Buena opción en el menú - tenía conejo y pastel de setas silvestres .. era precioso - con zanahorias y patatas (que eran extra) Buena carta de vinos. Una velada muy agradable y sin duda volveremos

I don't recommend it because I'm looking for pecel rice and rendang, they don't have it, they're just expensive but the food isn't tasty

A lovely cafe close to St James Park. Had a delicious lunch of cod cheeks, chips, and salad on one of the hottest days of the year so far. Recommended if you're seeking some top-notch food after exploring the park's flora and fauna!

We enjoyed an excellent full England breakfast here, with a delicious coffee as well. The service was good and the prices were reasonable. It was full of locals and located on a nice quiet street. Highly recommend.

A wonderful time spent in this restaurant with a typically English look. Really lovely, smiling and friendly staff. It is often said that English cuisine leaves something to be desired, well that's a prejudice! We certainly enjoyed food combinations that seemed improbable to us and yet some good taste surprises! The prices are expensive but the neighborhood must be the reason (located not far from Buckingham Palace). In short, I recommend you go there 👌🏼

Coming to England, I really wanted to experience a full / traditional English Breakfast, and Old Queen Street Cafe captured what I was looking for. I ordered the traditional English Breakfast along with an English Breakfast Tea. The breakfast was pretty good, the blood sausage was a bit bland, maybe that's just how it is. The service felt a little standoffish / judgmental, but it is what it is. Overall, I would still suggest it based on the breakfast and great location for a day of sightseeing.

Great eatery tucked away a couple of blocks from Big Ben. Food was delicious and the service was top notch. People had warned us that customerservice was terrible in England, well the staff here put a lie to that. Will return here everytime.

Kindly asked to charge my phone while having drinks with my boyfriend. Answer was there is no charger of type C, although right next to us we saw a free cable of this type. Didn’t expect this kind of service.

Una orden mis - hear (mío) se arregló en tiempo rápido, bebida complementaria ofrecida mientras esperaba (mis amigos estaban comiendo en ese momento) y no me cobraron por mi comida (no esperada o solicitada). No puedo reprochar la forma en que trataron el error, nuestra mesa estaba lista para nosotros a pesar de que todos llegamos antes de lo realmente reservado. El personal es amable, alegre y feliz de explicar los elementos del menú cuando se le pregunta. Sin duda volvería a reservar si quieres el desayuno (u otras comidas) en esa parte de la ciudad.

Quite ridiculous. I was there for breakfast. I ordered some items of food. I assumed I'd get a plate of food. Instead it came on little plates in dribs and drabs. They had the cheek to add 13.5% service charge.

Good English breakfast, very cozy atmosphere and interior, good location, good service. BUT FIX the tables which are moving and coffe or tea splits on the table. I saw that not only ours was moving.

I’m a fan of OQS Cafe as a good addition to the local dining scene. But maybe it’s becoming a victim of its own success. Lunch was fine but the menu is starting to feel a bit tired and could do with a refresh and perhaps daily specials. Value also seems to be reducing - £25 for a piece of salmon and shredded celeriac, plus £5 extra for a side - is a lot for a one course lunch. The rabbit pie looked very good. But again expensive given no sides come with it.

High hospitalities and tasty English breakfast

I regret telling you this place is AWESOME because it will become so busy! BUT hidden gem, superb food, appropriately priced, and delightful/accommodating staff. Salt Beef Benedict was particularly delicious as was their Full English Breakfast.

I made a reservation and visited. It's the perfect location to stop by and have a meal after seeing the London Eye and Big Ben! Although it is introduced as a brunch restaurant on Google Maps, it is also a great restaurant for dinner. First of all, the atmosphere was really nice, the food was delicious, and it came out on time and in order. Our server, Grace, took great care of us and was very lovely.

We stopped by this charming café just before closing on a Friday evening, and were greeted with such warm and welcoming hospitality by Joseph. The atmosphere was incredibly inviting, complemented by soothing music that created the perfect backdrop. The hot chocolate was hands down the best I've ever had, and with such a great menu, this place is definitely on my list to revisit whenever I'm in the area!

Tucked away but well worth looking out. Nice welcome and good service from a varied menu and reasonably priced drinks list. We treated ourselves to three courses, Champagne and wine so the price we paid was, I guess, over the average but well worth it for such an enjoyable afternoon. Clean, bright and comfortable.

The truth is that we went to this cafe by chance because we were walking from Buckingham Palace. And I liked it a lot. I ordered a sandwich that included everything that an English Breakfast has and it was very good. I also ordered a hot chocolate and it tasted very good. A little expensive but I assume it's the area. I recommend it

Some members of dinner party food was served up cold and when we politely asked for it to be cooked properly - the response was disappointing. Sometimes things go wrong but if you are paying for a group meal and food has to be sent back while others in the party are finishing their dinner you could at least show some empathy that our meal was ruined. We had gone out to dinner together for a reason, if we wanted a quick snack we would have gone elsewhere.

What an amazing place First of all, I'd like talk about the frindly Samantha. She is the one who will welcome you when you arrive at the cafe. She is so lovely and kind. Then, I'd like to talk about the food. It's amazing. Me and my sister ordered Welsh Rerebit and the dish was delicious. The place is cozy and we felt very happy there. I think this cafe is a must-visit in London.

Their mushroom pie was sooo good! The service is amazing. The staff is lovely. The atmosphere is also very nice - cozy.

I ate Schnitzel I am sorry but it was really strange, dry and hard. I had to eat again in another place to get full. You have to wait long. The atmosphere was nice but it wasn’t worth to eat a bad lunch.

Very nice place and decent food

Fell into the Old Queen Street cafe looking for lunch after seeing Westminster Abbey. I got the duck terrine with toast and the game pot pie and my wife had the chicken schnitzel with the fried egg. Everything was delicious.

We had Brunch in this restaurant, one of the best we have tried in London. Everything was great!

Lovely little place. Service was a little slow but the food was gorgeous - I only had granola which sounds horrendous but it was absolutely stunning.

The waiters are totally racist, the reception attendant was very good to us but their waiters did not pay much attention to us as most of our order vegetarian

We had the opportunity to have our Christmas party at this place, I was horrified by the service. We were asked to submit our food preferences beforehand, probably around 2 weeks prior. Immediately I was told my preferences couldn't be honoured. So I had to go and opt for an alternative. None of the party received their starters or the starters arrived after the mains had been served. The staff then started the ask the party what they wanted as each dish came out, it was a free for all. Had it been my decision I would have walked out and found another place. They placeholder names were not written correctly, even though everyone had submitted their meal preferences well before the event. Food was mediocre at best, I would never visit this place ever again. So be warned, anyone opting for their Christmas gathering, avoid this place, and if booked cancel at the first opportunity. Save yourself from the disappointment.

It is amazing place a little bit a side from very main street. My food was delicious, maybe spinach could be less sour but overall incredible experience,. It is a pity I do not have two stomacks😁 I would try everything here. The stuff is very caring and nice. Highly recommended!

Came in just for some coffee and cake. The desserts are simple and really good. Service friendly and efficient. Would definitely come again if in the area.

Had a well-cooked large-portion full English breakfast in the cafe. The mushroom is juicy and the poached egg is well boiled. The whole dish is slightly too savory though. Will not recommend the Chai latte as it is quite pale in flavour.

We were so delighted to come across this restaurant. They had a table immediately available and we really enjoyed our server and the others who accompanied her. The host and some other staff of this restaurant were also delightful to chat with when we first arrived and when we were leaving. The food was top-notch deliciousness-- I got the grilled pumpkin salad and added chicken to it. Hubby got the chicken schnitzel. We're so excited to have found this place so centrally located that we will definitely be back on our next trip to London! 💞

Enjoyed the whole time throughout our dinner on Tuesday. The food is really amazing and the team members are really friendly. The service was excellent. We came to the restaurant through a friend's recommendation on Wednesday afternoon when we were sent back by the host very rudely. We came again today afternoon to see if we can get a dining experience this time and it was the same woman with the same rude and racist attitude. We don't speak english well as we are outsiders and we were not welcomed at all. We understand the restaurant can be busy but this behaviour really lowered our expectations once again. We are not coming back again.

Ordered starter and main course. Starter: Seared Scallop The scallop smell and taste good but the texture is a little bit chewy, it was slightly overcooked to me. The condiment to go with the scallop which are apples, celeriac, bacon and balsamic vinegar does pair well with the dish. Main course: Games Pot Pie The crust was crispy, is not bad but nothing special. The taste, texture and fragrance is there still worth a try. Service: I get a feeling that they would not like to serve foreigners. The attitude treating the locals and foreigners are different. I can feel that the service team look down on us as they think that foreigners dont speak good English or so. But still there was a waiter who served me apologised to me as his English is not that good too.😐 And the hostess after the door doesnt like smiling maybe she had a bad day.

Our waiter only spoke with the man at our table when letting us know there was an issue in the kitchen and our food was taking longer than expected and then acted shocked when a woman paid. I ordered the chicken pot pie and found about an inch and a half long bone. Atmosphere was great though.
