There isn't much more to say that hasn't been said. It was recommended by an old Cornish pal of mine many years ago (when Rex was still with us) but has taken me this long to comply... A marvellous welcome by the Sisters to this ol boy from ''up country''..EVERYTHING was perfect.Cod (big) chips (HUGE portion) and mushy peas.Roll,Pickled Onion,Can of Coke...everything hot and delicious. Most importantly the batter was crispy and not greasy. Just a must if you are in the area and very reasonable in price.CASH ONLY. Thanks again and see you soon girls.

I love this place and it’s very family orientated been coming here since I was a tiny tot and the food is still as amazing as before. Always big portions so no one leaves hungry. The batter bits are AMAZING!!

This is the BEST Fish and Chips that I have EVER had, I mean EVER!!! I've never been a huge Fish and Chip fan but I am now!! I assume the Chips are cooked in Beef Dripping but the Batter.. Oh, the Batter!!! I don't want to know what the recipe is because it would ruin the experience! Having moved to Cornwall recently this is the first place we take our visiting family. I simply can't fault it, the Girls are just lovely and the Fish and Chips are to die for!! No joke!!! It really is second to none!!!

This is an old school Cornish chippy. Big portions, good prices, flavoursome food and friendly local staff. Chippies have been falling by the wayside in the last several years countrywide. Many have shut down, many have been taken over by Chinese or Indian takeaways with their salt and sugar laden comfort foods. The traditional chippy uses traditional ingredients. Not your tastless characterless palm oils and other convenience products. Old Forge sells traditional Fish and Chips that actually taste of something, cooked the traditional way. There are only a few chippies I buy from now in this area and I love my chips, Old Forge is one of them. If in the Bugle area and you want something tp satisfy youir stomach, go there.

Clean comfortable Cafe serving probably the best fish and chips I've tasted. My only criticism was the portion size. I had enough for four people. The pros were they were delicious.

I moved just down the road about 6 months ago and the shop has always seemed really busy so on Saturday night me and the wife decided to try it. It was the worst fish and chips I have ever had would never go back and would advise people to stay away. The fish and chip shop in holmbush is so much better and advise people that it is well worth the wait

The best service, a mountain of food- too much for me every time, (but I don't learn), and a great atmosphere. Worth a visit if you fancy fish and chips. You won't come away disappointed- or hungry!!!!

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday, what a fantastic find!! Funky and quirky vegan cafe. Loved the layout and decor. Best chai latte ever. Absolutely gorgeous tofu tacos, and the squash salad was sooo tasty. It’s dog friendly too!! Young lady was on her own front of house, and the cafe was full, she was run off her feet, but she was brilliant - well done!! Now top of our list for lunching in Mousehole!

I have been here four times now, its become a thing whenever we come to Newquay, tattoo before I go home. The staff are incredibly friendly and always chatting away when you're there. They make you feel like part of the family. It's clean, tidy, always smells so good woth the cakes and coffee, I always feel like I'm home when I go in.

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

We found our way to Freathy Farmhouse Cafe by following a sign from Whitsand Bay. What a lovely find! Very rustic and charming cafe. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed very generous sandwiches served with delicious salad. Some of us even managed cake! We will definitely return although I understand it is best to check opening times. Ps Loved the decor in the loo!
