If you go to Bovey Tracey a visit to Old cottage tea shop is a must. What an absolutely delightful tea room. Old fashioned charm at its best. Good old fashioned menu. It's like having lunch at Grandma's. An absolute must visit.

Lovely, typically English tea room. It was quiet and the ladies were very accommodating; suiting the requirements for our slightly fussy children. Reasonably priced too. Only feedback would be - it would have been nice to have chunky bread/toast with poached eggs rather than normal medium cut loaf. Thank you ladies!

Enchanting......so different..... Love this place. Freshly home cooked food, Louise lives above, so 'home cooked' and Julie Louise.....

A lucky find when in the area - nipped in for refreshments and had a Devon Cream tea, served by lovely, welcoming staff. Definitely somewhere we will visit again.

On holiday in the area, we stopped in the town, saw this tea shop at thought "you can't do Devon without a cream tea !!" It was great. Warm scones, generous portions and friendly staff.

WOW What a find an absolute little gem of a tea shop, Julie the hostess was fabulous so lovely and attentive. The food was so delicious we had ploughman's, cheesy toast, Spanish omelette, cream meringues and cream teas. It was a really quaint place and the prices were amazing. Well worth a visit but we booked as there were 6 of us plus a dog, very big portions all homemade as well, Thank you. Do not read the bad reviews, but all Covid measures in place.

Cream tea at the old cottage did not disappoint. Prompt friendly service in a warm welcoming traditional tea room. Food was freshly prepared and good value for money. Not visited since I was a child and still as lovely as remembered. Pop on for lunch ot afternoon tea, you won't be disappointed.

came here for a spot of lunch with my mum. What drew us in was the fact the menu outside said they did a ploughman's lunch. We were tended to very well and drinks orders were taken, we gave details for covid compliance and the lady serving wore all PPE necessary to make us feel comfortable. We ordered a ploughman's and a tuna and tomato sandwich. They came very quickly and were presented beautifully. Definitely tearoom style! Ploughman's came with everything you could think of and well worth the money!!2 drinks and 2 lunches came to £10.80... bloody bargain and excellent service. I gave a £3 tip and would love to return however I live in Portsmouth and only visit the area once or twice a year. Thanks again!

Quaint village tea room serving traditional cakes, snacks, ploughman's and light bites. We shared a cream tea and chocolate cake. Scones were lovely and warm, delicious jam and clotted cream. The cake was nice, and traditional. This place doesn't need any fancy gimmicks or anything, it serves lovely food and reminded me of going to grandma's house for tea and cake... Lovely.Staff were friendly and will be back to try more cake and a their ploughman's, we saw some sandwiches and other lunchs come out whilst we were there and they looked great too.

Visited with a friend having lived in the area for many years and never visited before. A very pleasant and quaint tea room. A good selection of food and beverages are on offer. We had a jacket potato each which we both really enjoyed. The staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are extremely reasonable.

We stopped here after visiting The House of Marbles and it was a lovely old fashioned cafe with table cloths, Teacups and 2 lovely ladies who couldn’t do enough for me and my 2 children. The food was all freshly prepared and not overly priced like some places. We all enjoyed our meals and they were generous portions so unfortunately I had no room for the delicious looking homemade cakes on offer. However my son had a shortbread to take away which I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

If you want a good cuppa and good value, freshly cooked food then this is the place. Kids loved the cheesy chips and I had scampi and chips. Poached egg on toast looked good as week. Nothing exotic, just good basic food. Although we didn't stop for dessert they looked good - all home made.

A genuinely old-fashioned tearoom serving excellent food that is extremely good value for money. Proper salad instead of the wilted 'mixed leaves' offered by others. Good choice on the menu and very good friendly service.

We stopped here for lunch. It’s a proper old fashioned tea shop but with a good choice of lunchtime food. The Spanish omelette is terrific, light and fluffy with lots of filling. Chips were crispy. The ploughman’s is generous, comes with delicious crusty bread. Excellent value and really friendly service.

It is always an enjoyable experience coming to No Limits in Newton Abbot (Devon). I have food allergies and they have a fabulous menu that can cater for so many whether that be allergies, coeliacs or vegan. I really like their ‘pay it forward’ scheme which helps provide food and drinks for people who are having a difficult time. Most importantly, it is brilliant that they are providing opportunities for people with various needs and it’s a pleasure to be served by such enthusiastic and happy staff :-)

A lovely pub with friendly staff and good food, served swiftly and efficiently. We had been on a long uphill walk to get there, and were very glad to be able to sit at a window table and look at the wonderful view. Will definitely return when we are in the area again. There was a huge log fire in the other room which would be great to sit near on a cold winter day.

We all enjoyed a tasty, reasonably priced breakfast. Service took a while but that was explained to us and they were very busy. Good sized portions; my Eggs Royale (with smoked salmon) was delicious. Quite a noisy space, difficult to hear at times, again, probably due to how busy there were. Easy to park (and free!) Not sure where the ‘Italian’ theme has come from?
