Parked up to answer a phone call and got a £60 fine. There is no reason for this, its not exactly a city centre location.

Food great atmosphere perfect. Similar to Johnny rockets. Well recommend

Don’t waste your money. Staff were nice, the setting is a novelty but there’s nothing special at all (and nothing American!) about the food. Tasteless fries and a cheeseburger with a plastic cheese square thrown on top in a cheap bun with Heinz tomato ketchup. Had some salad on but not even a gherkin. Maybe other options are better but if it’s an American burger you’re after save your money and go to McDonalds.

Food was lovely but to be honest not worth the cost (I think you are paying for the experience of a traditional American diner which for a one off I was willing to do but not something you could do more regularly) Service wasn't super fast (but to be honest we were a little late on for dinner and they were closing down some of the tables so maybe they would be more hot on during main dinner service) The atmosphere was relaxed and the diner itself was clean and a fun experience. Good clean toilet facilities and staff were friendly and welcoming.

Unfortunately OK Diner has gone down hill. Prices have rocketed up and portion sizes gone down.. Staff have changed are not very friendly.. Not looking forward to the next visit.. thats if there another visit..??

The food took an incredibly long time, the hot wings are absolutely covered in the hot sauce which was so hot, it was almost inedible, and there was a waitress who was rude and made us feel quite uncomfortable.

Really slow service - more than an hour to bring food on a day that was not busy, only a third of tables had people at them. Some dishes were good (fried chicken) others (burgers) were not. One order was wrong. Hard to recommend.

Food is great, and with refillable drinks included hot tea or coffee and a wonderful atmosphere. You couldn't ask for anything more x (Wednesday is the cheapest day to do with burgers for £7.50)

Great little diner, nice breakfast, one member of staff needs more training to get it right.

Service was good - the server came over and said "what drinks would you like?" , I said I'd have a Budweiser, he practically jumped straight on me and said you will have to order a mains with that, which we hadn't even got to order yet. Atmosphere - thought it would be more of an American feel than just decor The food was average nothing amazing for the price

AVOID! They're running a car parking scam. I pulled into their car park intending to go into the OK Diner but had to leave after a few minutes due to an emergency. Received a £60 parking fine in the post a few weeks later. Looks like hundreds of other people have had the same treatment (look up the newspaper articles on it) but it looks like they might be deleting reviews about this, to keep the unsuspecting victims rolling in. This is really low life behaviour and they should be ashamed.

Popped in for breakfast. The chef is amazing. Fried breakfast, pancakes, everything was perfect. Lush apple juice. My ten year old: “The food was 👍🏻 and the table service was good too and I give this place a … 10/10”

Not the wow factor expected when we walked in, very thin cheap cutlery, food just ok. Won't go back in a rush.

Disappointed with the attitude towards car parking, car park empty, giving the wrong impression.

From the outside it looks like a typical American concept and when you step in the music and atmosphere is great. Unfortunately the food doesn't match, the pulled pork hash is tasteless with a majority of potato and limited pulled pork. The beef chilli was plain, no dip provided as per the menu and nothing offered when this was pointed out. Such a shame.

We stopped for lunch on our way to Churchstoke camping. I saw they did a gluten free selection which is great as so many places fail to deliver for people with an autoimmune condition like coeliac disease. The food was lovely and so was the place and staff. We will definitely return.

This place popped up on my maps travelling back from North Wales back to Portsmouth. What a great little diner. Will definitely be returning on my way back to Wales.

Went there for a lovely meal with the family and got stung with a £60 parking ticket for doing so, nobody informed me that I needed to type in my reg and the staff were of no help when I informed them putting all the responsibility on the company that issued the charge.. Absolutely disgusting and will not be returning!

Cold burger, didn't finish it... Cheap products, not very good fries, the desert was not too bad but other than that nothing really good except the decoration.Very expensive for what it is.

The food is delicious here and the service is excellent. Also a good price for services food. We stopped on route to our destination and it was so nice it was our stop.on route back aswell.

Bit extortionate for food I wouldn't give to the dog. Oswolds cross is nearby or KFC, both absolutely obliterate this place in terms of food and pricing. Money is tight for a lot of people, if you can't do the job properly, don't charge those prices and call it food. Almost £15 for hunters chicken... For it to come out completely burnt underneath, along with burnt BBQ sauce, gross soggy mushrooms and about 10 flecks of shredded cheese. Prices of this place somewhat match Hickories in wrexham... Except the food is in a different league.

Me and ex husband use this place as a 1/2 way to meet up and drop off my daughter to stay with her dad. My ex its has been a really good time, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Went here for lunch with my friend and her daughter. Her daughter ate free and portion size was good. My friend is a vegetarian so had bean burger which she really enjoyed and hot choc brownie 😋 I had double burger and a black forest sundae which was huge. You can tell the burgers are fresh and the fries are gorgeous.. worth the money. Service was fantastic staff are lovely defo go back

Visited for the first time as had seen good reviews. When we sat down the table was clean, however under the table was littered with food. The toilets were disgusting, and looked they had not been checked for a long time. Food was OK. When you sell drinks that are free refills you should not need to ask waiting staff who had walked past an empty glass about 4 times. It would never happen in the majority of dinners I have visited in the US. Don't think I will be visiting again soon. One plus I should mention is their very good Gluten Free menu.

Lots of vegan and veggie food, all very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and efficient, able and willing to accommodate requests for dishes not on the menu. I swapped out eggs for extra hash browns so I could have the veggie breakfast. The surroundings are comfortable and classy. The OK Diner has its own style, which I very much like! Access was easy, flat from the car park with wide doors, toilets also on the flat. There is a well-equipped disabled toilet, doubling as a baby changer, accessed on the flat.

Stopped off for breakfast food was good we were the only people in the cafe. Probably because the prices were on the high side. Unfortunately KFC wasn't open at 9.30 in the morning

Felt rushed to order, but staff friendly and helpful. Looked like the building had been face lifted, so very clean and tidy 🙂

Ok I'll preface this by saying we have enjoyed many meals at your Oswestry branch. But tonight it left a lot to be desired. a) Soft drinks were flat. The replacement coke was flat too. b) One starter, the jalapenos bites, had exactly 2 small nuggets. That's £3.80 each! c) My dinner of a chilli cheese burger with loaded fries somehow got misinterpreted as loaded natchos! Very poor performance that let the diner down very much. We did query the burger but although they said they would fix it they never returned. Email contacts with management were rude, dismissive and arrogant. Will never return.

Food was good. Service ok but the waitress was not particularly welcoming. Not many customers when we went in - so felt a bit outnumbered by the staff who congregated around the till chatting. Not particularly professional? Just my view. Happy to support a local business rather than the chain next door.

Popped in for lunch with my 4 year old, kids eat free with an adult meal which is a bonus, although adult meals and drinks on the expensive side given the location. Food only a 3 star because because I had jalapeño cheese bits for starters and they was still frozen in the middle. But my main was our of this world, amazing.

Should have read the reviews before we visited this place, we complained to staff and emailed management, not satisfactory response, hence review. The Extra thick Bloomer toast is extra thin regular bread toasted, false advertising is not acceptable for good customer relations, would not go back

Absolutely diabolical. Three totally disinterested waiting staff. We were shown to a table and then totally ignored for 20 minutes. The place wasn't even busy. When it got to 25 minutes, we got up and walked out. We went past the three staff on the way to the door and not one even bothered to say anything to us. A shame as the menu looked good. These ladies need to be told if you work in the hospitality sector, you have to be customer focused. We will never go back and have been telling everyone about our experience. That's a lot of good will lost.

Had a fantastic meal here it’s been a while since I last visited the staff were young but very friendly and the restaurant was spotlessly clean. Will defo be visiting again. The milkshakes was amazing

Good diner, had the berry milkshake and it was divine (really appreciated that they gave us the holder with remainder of milkshake that they couldn't fit in the cup), the crispy chicken burger was also good. The sauce choice is a great touch. The only thing that was just a little off was that the service was a bit off beat, at first was too fast and later it was hard to catch them. But generally all good.

Just OK. Misadvertising on the menu. Don't promise "extra thick toast" and dish out cheapo medium cut supermarket bread for £3.00. Pancakes tasted straight out of the microwave. Have the people behind OK Diner ever visited a real American diner?? Service was mixed. Young staff generally helpful and friendly. Older manager was unable to crack a smile or show any hint of understanding how a customer should be treated. The whole atmosphere was somewhat tense. Head Office not interested in customer experience either.

4 adults 1 teenager and a toddler as we didn’t have a meal that required knives and forks the toddler meal was not free went to use their discount card but as there were more than 4 people sat at the table couldn’t use that either. Staff were friendly enough I wouldn’t be going back

A bit rushed even though it was empty. As soon as we got in we were given the menu. I had just put the last piece of food in my mouth when the lady took my plate and asked if I want anything else. I said the bill and it was presented while I’m still chewing. I’m sure they could have waited a bit. On the plus side the portions were large

Never been to an OK diner so decided to try it out. When we arrived it was not that busy and we’re seat quickly. The interior is a unique old style American diner look which is good. The menu offer a selection in America style food with all day breakfast options. Ordered drinks first and had to wait a while for them even though restaurant was quiet. I had a breakfast with pancakes but my side of black pudding did not arrived at same time so reminded them and they had to cook it! The pancakes did not seems freshly made but cooked in microwave as they had solid bits in them like they had been overcooked in a microwave, very disappointing. The overall portion size is underwhelming for the price. Also the service could do with slightly sharping up. Would not recommend for breakfast meal.

Called in on a wet miserable evening after a long drive. Friendly staff. Had the Yankee Doodke Dandy which was delicious. Son had the nacho burger which he enjoyed and the other 2 in our party had the chicken. The place was very clean. We would visit again

It's so nice in this diner. Completely different to anything else around Shropshire. I had the Nacho burger and it was out of this world! I ate it all, I couldn't move after but it was SO worth it. The full breakfasts are epic aswell. Definitely worth the money. Thank you!

Terrible. Waited forever for the wrong food to come out. People come in after us and left before us. Wrong food come out, when questioned they didn't realise egg weren't dairy. Basic details. Wrong portion sizes. Asked for the bill, no one come. Had to ask a further twice for it. Would not recommend stopping here but the pub on the same site is amazing.

Stop here after going past it a couple of times. This time we tried it out. Brilliant theme inside with the u.s style signs, posters, sitting booth. Food was amazing. I decided to add an extra beef pattie on my burger and was so big and really good. Staff service was very good. Shout out to Rhiannon who was the waitress to us. Very nice and punctual. Definitely recommend go here and i would definitely come back again.

Great place for family, had a super meal at a very reasonable price and the staff were friendly, very accommodating and efficient, we would definitely recommend anyone to visit.

Stopped here for brunch on our way north. Lovely meal, served super quick and back on the road within an hour feeling satisfied!

Sadly, although service was quick, the food was bland, plain white chicken breast in a bun which fell short of the exciting menu description on an empty of custom Sunday afternoon. Not sure I'll be back although, it's been a regular half way to and from Wales stopping point for a few years up to now.

Lovely food as always but leaving 2 stars on the principal when we come to pay you are put in an awkward position wether to leave a tip or not. All we want to do is swipe and go, couldn’t care less about pressing buttons on the card reader and faffing about. If we want to leave a tip we leave a bit of cash.

My family and i stopped in on our travel back from wales for the weekend. We stopped to have something to eat before our long journey home. We were welcomed by some kind staff and seated promptly. However when the young waitress came over to take our drink order, she was unable to answer some questions we had. She was very kind and asked her colleagues about our requests and took our drink order. We asked for some sugar for our coffees however it didn’t come for about 10 minutes, leaving our coffee lukewarm. Thankfully they offer refillable coffees. When ordering our food, the waitress again was unable to answer some questions about the food and once again went to ask a colleague. We were very understanding and continued ordering our food. When we were waiting for our food, cutlery and napkins were dropped off at the table. The cutlery was still visibly dirty with food stains remaining on it. We tried to clean them off with the napkins but this unfortunately didn’t work, we left it at that because we had practically just ordered finger foods anyway. My friends plastic water cup was also still dirty. When our food came we started eating, unfortunately buried in our cheesy fries was an old piece of hash brown covered in the cheese sauce that suggests they weren’t paying good enough attention to the meals they were preparing because if it were the case of bumping another plate it wouldn’t have been buried in with the chips. This also raises the concern of food separation and preparation because this was a half eaten piece of food that was not included at all in the rest of our order. With all due respect i understand that preparing food can be very stressful and keeping a tidy kitchen can be somewhat difficult if your short staffed (unaware if this was the case or not), however fresh food should be kept separate from old half eaten food. The concern comes from health issues amongst us as a group that if it had been something else it could have been relatively bad if consumed. We were going to let it go until we found hair in another portion as well. Unfortunately this put is off of the food, I politely told the waitress that we couldn’t eat the food due these reasons. She was very understanding and was able to give us a discount for the trouble which we appreciated. One thing we forgot to mention was one of our portions of garlic bread. 3 out of 4 slices were burnt and the other was undercooked. The food was what you would expect taste and quality wise. The presentation of their burgers are impressive, however the taste doesn’t match up. I wouldn’t go to this restaurant if you have allergies or food preferences. The staff were very polite, however we believe there should be some more extensive training provided. This is not meant as an attack on the restaurant. Hopefully instead it will be a learning opportunity for the management there. Please make sure you are following The food safety act 1990 and The food standards act 1999

manager on shift with dark hair and blonde streaks gave me a 18 month old son a dirty look. service is absolutely terrible, waited 15 minutes to get served for drinks and when you try and get their attention they ignore you and walk straight past. such a bad vibe in there and the manager definitely needs some customer service training. disappointing walked straight out.

I came in with high expectations of a proper American dinner. Very disappointed by the food eg pancakes were soft on one side but dry on the other. Obviously not made fresh. But if you're looking to eat a lot for cheap, this is the place.
