Offas Dyke Hotel in Flintshire

Ive been living around this area for 6 years now. I feel like this pub and the staff treat me the same as my old local 30 years ago. I feel at home. I love the staff. The food is brilliant. The management is amazing. I’m so happy to have this pub on my doorstep

The pub used to allow dogs into the bar area only. They now allow dogs into the lounge where food is served/eaten. If you care about hygiene or have allergies then AVOID. Animals are prioritised over people! Standards in the Offas Dyke have fallen considerably. Feedback given to the 'Manager' (term used lughtly) is instantly dismissed. Used to be a nice clean place but not anymore. Standards have fallen to gutter level.

Fabulous place. Clean, well priced with happy helpers led by Amy and Billy. Food was fabulous for the price and we had a great meal with our little dog Betsy. Thank you so much for a happy, warm and well fed time.

The majority of the staff are lovely and friendly and the food is nice - if they've got what you wanted off the menu and aren't waiting for a delivery. The place could do with a good tidy up and clean, especially the toilets.

We visited the Offas Dyke as part of a groupon offer of £16.50 for 2 burger meals and 2 drinks,The Offers dyke I would say is one of the better Greene King pubs as many look if they could do with a make over.We soon ordered 2 burger meals and 2 pints of beer food arrived within twenty minutes and was very tasty and well presented also the s taff were lovely and they did care about what they served.

Unfortunately this village has suffered numerous losses this year and yesterday was the 3rd wake we have been to in a year held by Amy and the team at the offas dyke. The team are just completely amazing. Each time, they have been so sympathetic, accommodating, hard working and friendly and every single one of the members of staff goes that extra mile. I can't thank them enough, honestly I know that my whole family feels this way. So a big thank you to Amy and Billy and the whole team at each of these sad days and every other day of the year for that matter! Sami xx

What a lovely place this is! We received a very warm welcome from Billy on our arrival at Offas Dyke Hotel Public House having reserved a seating area in advance. There is plenty of choice for food with a range of menus set for seniors, kids, lunch deals, drinks and a main menu/desserts - it was difficult to choose but we settled for the Hunters Chicken, Blue Burger and kids pizza. All very tasty and a good portion size. The pub was very clean, bright and offers live sports. The staff are very friendly and happy. There is a good sized beer garden and car park available. Located within a residential area, this is a great Greene King pub with a lot to offer and a great range of drinks. We will be back!! Thanks Billy and team!!

Just wanted to say A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Amy and her staff for once again pulling out all the stops and giving Mal a real night to remember. Amy takes on all the organising (and all the stress) even though she has the responsibility of running our brilliant local pub. We had an amazing night with friends and family and look forward to many more with our extended Offas Dyke family.

Thanks to Amy & all the Offa’s Dyke team for hosting the VIP night on 19 April showcasing the new menu.As always Amy and the staff were really welcoming The complimentary Prosecco was a lovely touch and the food served from the new menu was very generous and absolutely delicious. We all enjoyed the meat dishes, especially the pulled pork tacos and the burgers. None of us are vegetarian but the vegetarian dishes were really lovely, especially the mushroom chilli, the meatless marinara and the corn ribs: As well as the main menu, the new lunch menu is something we will try with good prices and a great selection of dishes.

We were invited to the Offas Dyke to sample the new menu and we were not disappointed. There were 6 of us and there was plenty of food and choice for each of us. The food was delicious, we are regulars at the pub and often have a meal there. Needless to say we will be dining there often. Booked an 18th Birthday for my step daughter on 12th November. Around 30 of us. Couldn't fault the staff they were all lovely, polite and very helpful. Gina, Adam, Emilia, Eleanor, James & Owen. Food was lovely. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Thank You.

Took these this evening whilst eating here for the 1st time. I had booked online & had expected a restaurant to eat in but was sadly disappointed. It was just a scruffy pub. Inside was rather stuffy & so I ordered at the bar, only way to order, no table service except for food delivery, & decided to sit outside in the under cover area. I carried out my drinks & cutlery. The table was filthy, not wiped down after clearing, which I believe is essential to do during these Covid times!(see pics) The food arrived quite quickly & I believe was microwave cooked as had dried out. I had expected a restaurant freshly cooked meal but was probably direct from the freezer. The waitress who was also the bar tender was pleasant enough. I was really looking forward to my day out with an early dinner followed by a cinema visit(my tea & cake in nearby Tesco was of a superior quality to my visit to Offa's Dyke hotel) so I am sadly very disappointed.

Came to the Dyke for a meal with my 2 kids. The kids ate everything and I ordered the katsu curry. It was so good. Highly recommend. Well done chef. 👏

Nicely situated area in the middle of village, good atmosphere and service from chelsea. plenty of screens in the bar area for sports, could do with one outdoors for in the daytime.

Recently moved to the area and i had heard about Offas Dyke from new friends, had a meal in the lounge such an amazing atmosphere the food was brilliant brought out to me by one of the new managers. Service was brilliant i have found my new local very pleased to have found a lovely pub in my new area.

It was my Gran's funeral today and the wake was held at the Offas Dyke. I must say that the buffet was excellent! Fab food and lots of choice. Everything from halloumi salad, to chicken and chorizo kebabs. My Gran would have loved it. Thanks guys. It was much appreciated.

Just left the Offa's Dyke after a funeral gathering,and to be honest wasnt expecting much but i am very pleased to say the service and food was excellent. There was a great variety of good quality sandwiches and tons of other great food topped off with 3 varieties of cakes. Just FAB couldnt have asked for better....Thank you

Visited here on 12th April at around 11:30. Had our drinks served by a quite rude "older" woman. Around half an hour later the first bell was rung, which seemed odd as the place is advertised as open till 1am. Within 10 minutes my friend went to the bar to order his drink, was told the bar had stopped serving. Halfway through this "explanation" the bar woman came out with "f***sake, what do you want". Shocking behaviour towards a paying customer. There were at least 20 people in the pub who I assume would have continued to SPEND MONEY if permitted to do so. The final bell was then rung at 12:15. There was a poor girl running around doing jobs, while this bar woman stood chatting with customers and refusing service. Disgraceful. Will not be recommending this place to a single person.

Firstly we arrived around 1pm for lunch on a Sunday and the place was like a ghost town which is concerning for a Sunday.

We have been going the Offas Dyke for some years now. We usually have excellent service when Dawn is in, but it wasn't as good on Sunday when she wasnt there. Food prices used to be reasonable but I feel they are a bit over priced now for what is served. Had the smallest piece of apple pie ever and I'm sure it was nearly £5.00. I had the fajitas and even though they were ok there wasnt much chicken and the wraps were too big for the amount of food provided.

Took my elderly dad and aunts and teenage son for lunch- and all of us enjoyed it - fish and chips and pie superb value on offer and very friendly table service - a well above average pub food experience and will definitely go back

When I come here I feel happy. I come here a lot with my girlfriend. I can’t eat anything with milk in anymore so it’s nice to be able to find a place with food that I can eat but is actually nice to eat aswell. I’m not a vegan because I eat meat but vegan icecream doesn’t have milk in it which is great. The staff are always friendly and you can always have a laugh with them. Pippa today brought out two spoons for us to each share our apple pie. Max did a cartwheel along the bar which was fun and we all laughed together as Kay played a banjo to an old Irish jig all in all it was a great day. (Last part is fictional except for the spoons)

As I live local to the pub i often come here for food and drinks with my partner and can not praise the staff more especially Kay and Max who always make us feel right at home. The food is second to non and would highly recommend it to who is thinking of coming here.

For the price 1/10 must of been a single dessert spoon of chilli !! As a local will not be ordering food from here again. Penny pinching has cost my custom.

I came into the Offa's Dyke at 3pm on New year's eve with my partner. We had a couple of quiet drinks. We noticed they took the menus away just before 4 and I asked why. They were closing at 5 to get ready to reopen at 6 as it was ticket holders only. Which I thought was good as my partner's local closed for 2 & 1/2 hours. We purchased 2 tickets for the evening. We arrived just before 8 and had a brilliant time. Thanks to all involved and to all the staff that made it a smashing night.

Decided to go into the Offas Dyke yesterday day time. Knowing full well they would be closing for a short while from 5.00-6.00pm as per their notices around the pub for the last two weeks (and as they do each year to get ready for the night time) we went in early. Staff were friendly and accommodating and although not very busy, service was good. We enquired about food and as no menus were on the tables, we were told food was being served - everyone happy!!

What a wonderful time I had with my friends and family, in this community pub on New Year Eve. The bar staff and manager were extremely welcoming and attentive throughout the night. Well done Offas Dyke on helping us celebrate the end on 2018 and beginning of 2019

My husband and I have been customers here for nearly 40 years as have many of our friends ,family and aquaintences. New Years Eve was a ticket only evening of which I whole heartedly approve (and over the years we have participated and been more than happy to pay for a ticket) however

Enjoyed a delicious Xmas lunch at the offas dyke last week. Great food at a great price. And the service by Pippa was first rate. Thanks must also go to Dave the chef.

The meal was a lovely cashew nut roast with lots of interesting vegetables, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, veggie gravy and stuffing. It was lovely and hot and was plentiful. The Xmas pudding was also delicious. I have had two Xmas meals with another group that I belong to. We went to a very big hotel in Chester. I was given a pathetic plate of rice with some red and green peppers on. No good! I have never been since then.
