Off The Wheaten Track did the catering for my 60th birthday party (50 guests). I had found them online via the consistently top reviews of their food. After chatting on the phone, we went for lunch a few weeks before the party to finalise details. There we got to sample different things from the menu and make a final decision. Everything was divine. Hayley and David are very experienced and offer top advice:) I was persuaded to try the cupcakes - the raspberry and vanilla were stunning - and looked fabulous. So the cakes were sorted too:) The party was a huge success. Every guest commented on the excellence of the food. It really is 5 star! Thank you so much to Off The Wheaten Track for this. Top quality! Everyone was super happy. So great to find such a business. I should add we are not coeliac either - the food is delicious for all palates. I really care what I feed my guests. This was outstanding all round. Hurrah for this fabulous deli!

Superb steak pie with chips and Veg at the best gluten free cafe I have ever been in. Took away a sausage roll and that was also delicious. The steak pie was literally steak cooked to perfection inside the best flaky, crumbly melt in the mouth pastry I’ve ever had (even before being gluten free) everybody should try this place whether gluten free or not

Can’t recommend this place highly enough. I had a very good savoury pie (it’s rare to find such great gluten free pies!), and took some more items away that were equally delicious. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and seem to build a rapport with their regular customers - of which I will certainly become one. I look forward to returning soon!

Thank you so much for the most amazing birthday dinner! Three delicious courses, wine and a very warm welcome. Everything gluten free. My guests are still talking about the quality and standard of the food. This little place is an absolute gem for those of us gluten free but also for family and friends to share a meal together without any stress. Hayley & Dave are always fabulous hosts. Omg, where do I begin?? I saw this place on facebook, it is a 5hr round trip away (6.5hrs with the motorway issues on the day) BUT I'm coeliac, haven't have a waggon wheel or vanilla slice in years, so it had to be done. Not only was I not disappointed, this was the best food I've put into my face since I was diagnosed. I went with a gluten eating friend and he agreed how amazingly fabulous it was, even as a gluten eater. I had a vanilla slice (yum!), then a feta & spinach pasty, these were the best I've ever had (even when I did eat gluten) and I've now got half the bakery in my freezer. Waggon wheel, egg custard, and got a cherry still to try. The pastry is amazing, even big producers of gf pastry can't get it this good!

Another excellent visit here, it is great to come to a place like this that specialises in Gluten Free food and not have to worry about what my Mum can eat. Everyone is so friendly and it is good that we can bring our dog. Looking forward to coming to coming here again!

We stumbled into this deli having wandered a good while searching for a place that we liked the look of. This place look interesting and in a sunny spot. We werent disappointed by the menu or the service. All excellent. A real gem and we recommend unreservedly

Having visited Off the Wheaten Track a few times for amazing lunch and some delicious take away cakes, I wanted somewhere safe for me and my Mum to eat for my big birthday celebration where we could relax and not worry about our food as a coeliac, and where the none coeliacs would also love the food! From my very first enquiry right to the end of the meal, David was beyond helpful with a nothing is too much trouble approach. He offered to book us in as a private event due to the number in our party and so the 11 of us had the cafe to ourselves which was just brilliant! Everything ran smoothly, Hayley cooked the most delicious 3 course meal and the service was second to none. We are very lucky to have this wonderful place within 30 minutes of where we live. Its worth its weight in gold for anyone who needs a relaxing safe haven and gorgeous food, so don't delay visiting is a must!

Visited OTWT again( I'm not coeliac) with my sister who is coeliac and our cousin for the first time, who isn't. I had the cheese and onion pie and chips again, as it's such a treat. Our cousin had the Chicken stew and loved it. My sister had her usual combination of cheese and onion pie with cherry pie. Strange but she enjoys it : ) I've had the vegan Festive and Sweet Potato and chickpea pies as takeaways (tasty, with loads of filling) and 2 of the cake options ( very nice). The atmosphere as always was friendly and comfortable. Hayley and Dave are lovely and welcoming.

We have been here many times and never disappointed. Our daughter is Gluten, Dairy and wheat free. It's fantastic that we can all eat in a safe environment for her. The owners work very hard, and are lovely people. Highly recommend everything on the menu, ham cheese and jalapeno stack👌 Amazing Sunday roast. We’ve visited many times but came for Christmas dinner on 10th December. Absolutely delicious! Our daughter is a gf and def vegetarian and that’s a tricky combo to manage whilst eating out. We had such a lovely lunch here on Friday, I can’t believe more places like this don’t exist (but this does make it more special)! I have dairy and gluten allergies alongside being a veggie and I was spoilt for choice. It’s so nice to not be the fussy one at the table for once. I had the roasted veg bagel which was beautiful - I also bought a bag of bagels after because where else can you get giant gluten free bagels! We both had tea which was served in lovely big pots, and then came my dream in pie form - a cherry pie, served warm with vegan cream. It almost makes me sad that more of my friends don’t have gluten allergies, because they’re missing out on how special this cherry pie is. I can’t wait for the Christmas menu! This place is a godsend for coeliacs and people with food allergies or people just trying to avoid gluten. They can make cakes to order and did a fantastic Victoria sponge for my Mum’s 80th - the best cake I’ve had since my coeliac diagnosis. They have lots of other savoury treats as well. The owners are really responsive and super helpful.

I visited OTWT with my sister (who is a coeliac) and s-in-law. My sister is in her 70s and this is the first time she could eat ANYTHING in this 100% gluten free cafe. She hadn't eaten in a food establishment since her diagnosis 40 years ago. The food was lovely, we all had the cheese pie and chips. My sister also had a cherry pie. ( This is someone who normally has a small appetite ! )The owners were so lovely and kind. We'd ordered some food to take away. We'll definitely be returning. You definitely don't need to be a Coeliac to enjoy the food. I'm so pleased that Coeliacs have a place where they can get tasty food and not be fearful of the food making them ill.

Amazing discovery for gluten-free!! Home made pies, cakes and plenty of treats. Such a great menu choice. Their home made Twix bars are to die for!!! Even if you don’t have a sweet tooth you’ll be hooked! I’m a real pastry lover and they’ve really perfected theirs. Worth stocking up with takeaway goodies too. Friendly staff, definitely recommend.

Excellent in all respects. Very wide range of superb gluten-free food, at reasonable prices and served with a smile. This Deli must be visited regardless of your dietary needs, it's my top coeliac friendly establishment. Dave & Hayley are so welcoming ,friendly & the products, baked on the premises, are outstanding. Best egg custard & savoury pastries on the planet especially the cheese & onion pie. Supper club, sunday roasts on offer & they are open to new product suggestions for Christmas. NOTHING NOT TO LIKE, go & see for yourself. People come from far & wide based on recommendations

My wife is a coeliac and is always struggling to eat when she's out. This wonderful place is an absolute godsend. It was so great to see her have a full choice from the menu. Everything is gluten free even the wonderful puddings. She (and I) loved our meal there today. Special mention must go to the staff and proprietors who were so lovely and welcoming. An unequivocal recommendation. Going again next week to pick up some pies and puddings for freezing.

What a wonderful place! This is the first fully gluten free cafe/deli we have ever been to and my coeliac son was overwhelmed and excited to have such a wide choice for his lunch. We also purchased pies and cakes to take home. The owners are so welcoming and friendly which topped off our visit. It was well worth the 2hr round trip and we will definitely be back.

We visited here as a family of 10 for my birthday lunch today. There were 2 coeliac, one dairy intolerant and a vegetarian. The food was absolutely stunning and all diets were catered for brilliantly. We all had 3 courses and couldn't find fault with any of it. Even those that don't have to eat gluten free, loved the food. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful and I can't recommend this place highly enough. Thank you for making my birthday so special and how reassuring to know that we don't have to worry about being glutened. Can't wait to go back.

We visited for the Supper Club and wow were we in for a treat. Hayley and Dave were incredibly hospitable and friendly and the food was divine. The starter of Loch Fyne Mussels on pickled cucumber was a particular favourite for me, fine dining in my opinion. The NY cheesecake, oh my goodness!! I need the recipe! In fact every morsel of the meal was a taste bud tantiliser! Being Coeliac, it’s rare to find a wholly gluten free place but this little gem is a double whammy being a deli too. Everything was so very tasty and fresh and cooked to perfection. Finding this little gem as a deli was exciting enough but now knowing they offer a Supper Club is the icing on the cake. Keep doing what you’re doing because it’s amazing for us Coeliacs, (and muggles) thanks guys.
