Food excellent. Staff friendly & efficient. Surprisingly swift service as the chef was on his own. I had Steak and ale pie which I highly recommend All in all a cracking lunch.

Ordered scampi with mashed potatoes and garden peas. The scampi was hot but the potatoes were cold and lumpy. It looked unappetising. I only ate the scampi.

We ordered our drinks which didn’t take too long to arrive. The problem was with the food. Four of us ordered hunters chicken the other two ordered scampi and Gammon.when the food came the chicken was overcooked and dry the cheese and bacon supposedly to be smothered on the chicken was none existent, and the lettuce was covered in a vinaigrette which I think should be optional.Two of my party sent their food back as it was too dry to eat I struggled and ate some of mine. The waitress offered them a replacement but that was no better. I have noticed marstons pubs are doing a lot of promotions and I wonder if they are losing customers due to their poor food and high drink prices.

Fast, Friendly, efficient service with a smile and a bit of patter from Ross. Varied menu, reasonably priced. Every dish was delicious and every person in our party was very happy with their meal. Casual welcoming ambience, definitely worth a visit.

My family and I enjoyed excellent food and service on my dad's birthday celebratory meal. We found the atmosphere to be calm, warm and inviting - perfect for an enjoyable evening out with the family. Ross, the waiter made the evening extra special by making sure we had everything we needed and meals and drinks were served and cleared away in a timely, professional manner. I would highly recommend this place and will certainly go there again myself.

I booked a lunch out with some friends a few days ago to celebrate a birthday, and our server Ross was very helpful and insightful with the menu. He engaged in conversation with me and my friends and made us feel very welcome. Any time we needed drinks or questions about our food he was quick to sort our queries. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

We attended the Oddfellows today for a Sunday dinner, and despite there being a 45 minute wait for food our server Millie was extremely attentive and apologetic. Which made our experience a lot more pleasant, as the roasts were average considering the wait. We may try the Oddfellows on a weekday to see if the main menu is better than the roasts.

Went the oddfellows and was met with a very nice lady at the front desk who ended up serving us too. Vicky was very polite and persuaded me to have a mix grill that was lovely. All the staff were friendly and I will definitely be going back.

Good service from most the one who stood out was someone called Victoria who seemed to be on top of everything and hat happens in this establishment

Atmosphere lovely, young man who looked after our table was very polite and attentive however the staff behind the bar were very poor. Service was very bad. Waiting to be served but barman with tattoos thought it better to clear glasses off bar eather than serve us. Waited 40 minutes for food. Food was very good though

I took my mom here on Monday for an impromptu birthday lunch. Neither of us have been here for many years. The lunch set menu was great value and portions were more generous than expected! I had breaded mushrooms followed by calamari and fries which was lovely. My mother had sea bass which she also enjoyed and it was nicely presented too. Ross was a warm and welcoming host and made the experience all the more enjoyable.

I’ll start by saying I’ve always liked the Oddfellows. The menu has always been hit and miss but there has always been something good on it that has stood out. After not visiting for a few years having moved out of area, we were looking forward to going in again for a friends birthday. Sadly, it seems both the service and the standard of food has gone downhill, and yet the prices have risen. We visited on a Saturday teatime, had booked a table, and were initially told by our server that a couple of menu items were not available. After looking at the menu and waiting an age to order, and then the app / online order not working, we headed to the bar to order ourselves only to be told that some of what we wanted was also not available. So back to the menu we went. The staff, although polite, were not great. Items missing / needing to be chased / waiting ages in between plates being cleared / drinks being brought to table etc. The food, when it came, was just ok. If I’m paying almost £15 for a lasagne that I’ve had to choose because the other menu item I wanted wasn’t available, I expect it to be of good quality. It was basic and bland. The rest of my party also felt their food was lacking and a little dull. It speaks volumes to the portion sizes that my friend knew to order an extra side of chips because there wouldn’t be enough food in a meal as it stood. There is a cost of living crisis, people work hard and going out for a meal is a big deal when money is tight. To have that be ‘just ok’, especially for a special occasion such as celebrating a birthday, is not good. At the end, after waiting forever to pay and to no avail, as staff were again MIA, we went to the bar again, waited again to be seen, and was given our receipt and told the names of the staff that had helped us today and encouraged to leave a review. I asked them if they were sure about this?! Clearly the person who asked us (manager?) is disconnected from what is actually happening in the restaurant. The staff looked knackered and fed up, the toilets were vile, the food wasn’t great, the service ridiculously slow…overall, very poor. I won’t name the staff because I don’t think they should get the stick for being overworked and the pricing / quality of food. It’s not just down to floor staff to make an experience.

After nearly two years of not going to the Oddfellows we decided to try it out again.I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and rinks offer since my last visit.From initially walking in, I was greeted by a helpful member of staff called Emma who made the experience effortless and enjoyable with a friendly and at the same time professional approach.The menu choices for drinks and food offered a lot of choice.The food and drinks were delivered fast and the quality was great. Went to that bar at 8:30 to order food was told kitchen is closed I explained the web site says 9pm was told sorry we have had to busy of a day as a manager of a pub myself I think this is awful! Why deny the business?? Really appalling behaviour for a manger surely one of you job responsibilities is to generate business for the pub not turn it away !

It was so nice to go out for a meal and have a special gluten free menu that I could order from. I am Coeliac and I find that not all pubs cater for me so I was really impressed with the variety of options on the menu.
