Ocean Fish Bar in Sutton

The chips were reheated, very dry, tasted horrible, smelt awful. I am old and I've never had such rubbish chips. I threw them away. Suffice to say I shan't return.

Had 2x rock and chips delivered but the fish was unbeatable, what meat there was on it was chewy and most of it you had to tear off the bone. Absolute rubbish!😡

The food here is very delicious. We as a family of 7 always buy here on a takeout day. The staff are amazing also! Their prices are lower than other places and the quality of their food is better- what more could we want ? I highly recommend-!

Visited a few weeks ago - concerned given the pandemic cash was touched with gloved hands then food was touched- no sanitiser or hand wash between. Yesterday now not even wearing gloves and still no washing oh hands or sanitiser between cash handling and handling food. They do actually touch the food as well when pushing chips into paper. I can live with all the hair touching but this is too much.

Been here a few times recently. Have had to wait a short time to get our food as it was cooked fresh 🐟. The shop looks a bit tired but the food is spot on. All served by a nice chap who I assume is the manager.

This establishment is a family run business which has been providing wonderful food for about 40 years. The fish is fresh and without the grease you get elsewhere. Many years ago the owner explained that he cooks in ground nut oil so you taste the food and not the oil. Always a pleasure.

Quite a good fish bar with a descent range of cooked to order fish, as well as the usual chip shop fare. Good value and friendly service.

Been going here for years and would not recommend anywhere else. Cheap and the quality is amazing. Best option on high street for takeaway.

Although this is a take away, staff friendly and polite, fish is prepared to order and portions are reasonable, nothing to much trouble.

Used this fish and chip shop for the first on Saturday night we found the price was reasonable, the fish was lovely cooked in a really light batter and the chips were delicious, again non greasy. Will definately be back.

The family and I had a take away from here, good quality food, the fish was very good the chips were excellent, and it very clean.

Always fresh chips and fish to order, great service. Never had a problem with my order. Friday night can be a little busy. But worth the wait. Bring on Friday !

I tried the Ocean Fish Bar last week having passed it a few times in the car. Its at the top of the high street and unless you live at that end, you probably wouldn't think of it. However, its worth the walk. Very helpful staff, very efficient and good value. Fish was fresh and very tasty. Well worth a visit - you won't be disappointed.

I would never go back again because it's raw and smelly fish and I was there around 5 pm so I think the fish was cooked from lunch so it's tasted ridiculous Will never go back again

Been here a few times and always has me going back for more! There chips are to die for and their battered sausage are amazing. Hunt usually gets a pie and chips and he cleans his plate (or chip paper in this case)

Been going for 15 years, still haven't thrown away a single chip! Never an eye or green end. Always lovely fish as well. Friendly staff who are always polite. Best fish and chip shop ever!

Been going here well over 20 years and honestly they never disappoint. Great service, great food, great value for money.Best chippy in the area Bar none!
