Oasis Fish and Chips in North Lanarkshire

Ordered a special fish and a fish supper tonight and everything was absolutely delicious, very fresh and not at all greasy. Read some negative reviews but it was spot on tonight and staff friendly too, didn’t wait for long either.

This is my favourite chippy in Cumbernauld. Always use never have any issues until yesterday we worked 1 hour and 35 minutes for a delivery on a Wednesday night. No mention of king waits when ordering etc otherwise we would have collected. Some family had to then rush dinner as we had other things to do after hence why we ordered at 17:30 expecting to get it at a normal time

Been using this chippy for years without any complaints. Really don't understand the one star reviews. Never had any problems with the staff either. Don't be put off, Use your own judgement.

Soggy batter, absolutely disgusting under cooked chips, I threw it away, worst chippy in Scotland! Avoid at all costs!

Waited a long time and meal not very hot. Driver would not come up the drive to door. This is the second time and thought we would give it another try. Not again

This place has went down drastically over the years. It used to be our go to chippy in Cumbernauld. The past couple of times we ordered a Pizza Crunch it’s been burnt. Gave it one last try tonight and was the same. If I had noticed the pizza was burnt and over fried I would have refused it but got home and www burnt yet again. Poor portion sizes also. Last time we will be buying from here.

Just had an amazing fish supper from here would definitely recommend fritters pickles and garlic mayonnaise dip everything was delicious 😋

Just paid £14.90 for 2 large fish suppers - not sure what they consider large but these were smaller than small. NOT worth the price. Waiting to see the extra fish they send us to make up for it will be like

If you want a small fish supper ( you still get loads of nice chips) ordered and delivered promptly and at great value then this is the place to go.

The best fish supper in Cumbernauld! The freshest of fish beautifully cooked. Half chicken is excellent.

First night out of hospital after a 6 day stay and I headed straight to this chip shop. I just had to have a king rib supper and believe me after hospital food, which I thought was great, I devoured it like a man possessed. Fantastic.

Can't say that I have even had an issue here , always had fresh hot cooked food if I ever had issue I@d be back in a shot but don't ever see that happing

A great wee chippy but when u order online it takes over a hour to deliver, ordered online on a Sunday 4.55pm and delivery was 6.15.... it’s a 5 minute car journey, totally unacceptable to be honest.

Gorgeous haddock not a bone in site. Piping hot. Good choice of menu if a little expensive. Fast and efficient service in shop. Home delivery can take quite a bit longer.

Friend through tonight their chippy burnt down last year they live in a village in Fife he is fish and sea food daft request can we get a chippy tonight that was Sunday night tea

Deliveries are slower than waiting for Scotland to qualify for a major tournament! More chance of Scotland winning the world cup than receiving your food warm and under an hour

Food always fresh and good portion sizes. Good choice of food and staff friendly. They also offer daily deals seven days per week on a different supper. We don't live walking distance but it's always the chip shop we choose.

Ordered a special fish supper online to pick up at 7pm.Also ordered an Indian takeaway 15 minutes before online from a nearby restaurant which was on time.When I went into Oasis at 7:02 the fish hadn’t even been put on so actually pointless ordering online if they can’t get it ready for the time stated when ordered. So my Indian ended up cold by the time I got home.On the plus side it looked a nice piece of fish but the oil looked and tasted as if it hadn’t been changed for a while. It’s a shame this used to be a very nice wee chippy to visit and the previous owners were very friendly to the customers. If they can get the online ordering up to scratch, change the oil now and again and cheer up a wee bit, it could be a good chippy!!

Hubby and I visited Oasis on Friday night. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We both had the most amazing fish supper. Chips were tasty and the fish was very moist inside a beautiful crispy batter. Served with salt, vinegar and tartare sauce. Portion sizes were great. Will definitely return.

I Came in Hear for 2 Fish Suppers at 5.00pm last Thursday.The Kind Staff Member Server me Strait away, after serving a customer before me.I Asked for Extra SALT AND VINEGAR. And She Spalashed it on.I cant get my Head round these Bad Reviews you,s are Getitng.The one Who Thinks your Staff Should Treat her Like a Top Class Restraunt Costomeris a total NUT.

I can't fault this chippy at all, I pre ordered my dinner online for 5.30pm (like this feature) and it more or less came on time.. i ordered a large special fish supper it came in 2 boxes a carboard box for the fish (it was big) the other was a polystyrene box for the chips.. food was slightly cold but this was due to distance to and from chippy (3.5 miles) so can't fault them for that was still warmish so a quick gentle heat in microwave and it was perfect and tasted excellent, I will be using them again when I get the urge for fish and chips

We just moved to the area and have used other chip shops in the area but by far this is the best. kids love the fish supper and the wife loves the ice-cream . curry sauce and black pud supper is fantastic . This is now are regular takeway spot

Went in there tonight deliberately as usually the best chippy in cumbernauld. The 2 meals were horrible.The fish was tasteless and greasy and was most definitely NOT haddock.Chips not fresh and way too greasy too.Wont be back .A total waste of money.

Some night coming home will go in for Fish and Chips very clean shop always people waiting for orders never empty when I go in food very good and good selection

Can't beat this chippy the best within cumbernauld special fish is like a whale situated at cumbernauld station

Me encanta mi pescado y patatas fritas y aunque no vivo en Cumbernauld, cuando trabajo me pare aquí como fantástico y una gran relación calidad-precio. He leído otras críticas y ninguno de estos en forma mi experiencia. La comida genial, el personal es amable. ¿Qué más se puede pedir? Una de las mejores cenas de pescado que he tenido en mucho tiempo.

This popular take away [or sit in] is situated just on the fring of Cumbernauld Town Centre. It has plenty of parking space. The staff are friendly and efficient

I often call into Oasis when I get the urge for a good old fashioned belt of 'Special' Fish and Chips but was not expecting the 'whale' sized haddock that was served up to me last night! Usual crispy breadcrumbed batter and tasty, perfectly cooked fish but had to call for help to finish off 'Moby Fish'. Great chipper.

Used to come to oasis all the time but has slowly gotten worse and worse new staff members are consistently rude and the food quality is getting worse, soggy chips etc. Decided that my money is better spent in another chippy

I have nothing bad to say about the food from oasis but they let themselves down by employing the rudest member of staff I've ever had the misfortune to be served by. The woman has a terrible attitude problem & makes visiting this chippy an awful experience. It'll be the Trio for us from now on.

Two hours after we placed our order and two phone calls later food arrived and it was freezing cold. The pakora was burnt to a cinder and unrecognisable as pakora. We received no apology on either of our phone calls and if the shop was to be believed our food was "with the driver" for 40 minutes. Asked for a refund and we're told the driver would be back with it. This was at 10pm, it's now quarter past 11 and no refund. I have a 6 week old child in bed and the shop seem to think it's acceptable to chap my door at this time. On calling to explain and check where my refund is again no apology and the excuse of "being behind tonight". Disgusting service and food avoid like the plague.

I ordered mince pie supper and sausage supper I got mince pie and steak pie I phoned to say order was wrong I was informed driver was leaving to come to my area and would redeliver. I waited another 45 mins then called back the man on the phone said he forgot to give the driver my order did I want him to deliver again or money back didn't seem to care so I said money back. I use Oasis on a regular basis but feel your customer service is shocking I wont be using your chip shop again

this establishment has gone massivly downhill, the current owners seem to be cutting back on just about everything your meal will now be encased in a cardboard tray and now they dont wrap it in paper to keep your meal safe and warm, so the packaging is as basic as you can get chances are its half falken out in the bag the meal inside quality has got so bad that its pretty much tasteless . It's real shame as this used to one of the best in the town but now the standard is so poor that we will no longer be going there andconsidering its at tge end of my stee just shows how bad its got.

After waiting 1 hour and 40 minutes I received my order, I opened the box to find it was half empty, freezing and full of grease, I will never order from here again!

Greatest chip shop in Cumbernauld by far !Daily meals are good value for money , portion of fritters are lovely and the fish supper is brilliant

I been here several times and never been disappointed, I always go for haggis supper with a king rib or black pudding supper with king rib. Chips have always been niceGreat staff and the place is clean

Best chippy in cumbernauld by far look out for the daily deal ..the fritters are excellent too .Friendly fast efficient service nothings to much trouble
