Lucky Garden in North Lanarkshire

We order from here all the time and generally the food is good. I've just received my fish and chips and I'm almost certain that it's boxed frozen fish that you buy from any supermarket. Feel a bit disappointed 😞

Great food and massive portions, definitely hit the spot after a 6 hour drive. We ordered takeout, the estimated delivery time was 70-90mins which we were ok with but were very pleasantly surprised to see it on its way 30mins before that. Delivery guys were fantastic and delivered to an obscure cottage with no fuss. Will absolutely order again.

Possibly the worst Chinese meal I have ever had! Watery and bland sauce.

Ordered a chicken fried rice, chips and curry sauce. The amount of chicken I was given was absolutely disgraceful and not only was there barely and chicken, it was the tiniest wee bits they could have given. Absolutely disgusted. Will not be ordering from them again. 😡

Food took nearly 2 hours to arrive. Poor quality chicken. Red Thai curry was revolting I couldn’t eat it, it was that bad. Very disappointed will not be using again

Excellent takeaway, food arrived piping hot, although 1 hour 30 mins+ waiting time. Although the wait was quickly forgotten once we started eating as the food was excellent. Will order again.

I ordered online a simple order, some chicken wings and a chow mean, took 2 hours 30 mins for me to get told by someone on the phone to "stop calling your not getting your food we are closed" This was after I had payed

Ordered twice, food came extremely quickly. Salt and pepper chips are not the best ever but salt and pepper tofu is INCREDIBLE. My go to Chinese now

I love the beef curry and a large portion of fried rice. Only Chinese takeaway that still provide proper large portions. Alwsys quick snd extremely polite.

Absolutely love this Chinese Takeaway. Would recommend 100% Staff are friendly on the telephone as well delivering food. Ordered Again Yesterday 27/04/2023 I Pre-ordered which was handy Food is alway piping & Delicious. Lucky Garden is definitely my number 1 Favourite Chinese Takeaway In Cumbernauld.

Good Chinese but useless ropy website

I had King prawn curry. Very nice.

Now we normally order from lucky Garden but this time we ordered was disgraceful the chow meins we ordered were all over the bag 2 chow meins and not one of them were in the boxes the come in it was all spilled over the bag I think you will need to speak to your delivery drivers and let them you to handle the food better because that is a joke seriously

I have never been so utterly disappointed. Delivery guy did not read the extra instruction to knock rather than chap, the food was absolutely horrendous too. I ordered the char siu bun and it was so chewy and hard that i could barelh get my teeth through it- BUNS SHOULD NOT BE THAT STALE?? It was completely tasteless and so was the sauce and dumplings. Horrible experience, i wish i hadn't wasted my money and time on this.

Always top quality and generous portions

Had the salt and pepper munchie box the layout is very disappointing and a ridiculous amount of chips would have been nice in sections instead of having to rake about for something other than a chip, quite nice quality though.

Ordered a special curry. Absolutely nothing special about it. Was cold and sauce was a runny mess. First and last time I get food from here.

Awful! Munchie box which was just lathered in salt. No chilli, peppers or onion. Just chips, couple of ribs and dried onion rings and chips.

Just received the wrong order, I was given a prawn curry instead of what I ordered a chicken curry. I can not get hold of the restaurant as the phone line is always busy or they've taken there phones of the hook! Had to go through just eat which was absolutely abysmal! I'm left with nothing to eat and and a just eat credit, brilliant thanks!. I will not be ordering from this place again!!

Half the order was missing, was offered it next time I ordered which isn't much help when people don't have their dinner tonight. They admitted staff had forgotten items, asked could I have the missing items today and was told no, asked for them to pick it up and be refunded and was told no. Not good enough when they can't resolve their mistakes

Just received my chicken maryland the chips i got were all crispy definitely were not freshly done looked as if they were reheated then had to wait for them to send out other ones curry sauce was far to thin wont be ordering again very disappointed.

I just received my order and the curry sauce was so watery I nearly had to put it in a glass..disgusting.i won't be ordering from this place again!!!!

Was a great Chinese years ago, when new owners took it over it became absolutely disgusting with equally bad customer service. Avoid it, trust me !

We ordered a buffet for our sons Bon Voyage party. Ordered 5 trays of plain and 5 trays of salt n pepper of: chips,chicken balls,spring rolls,mini ribs and chicken pieces. We got curry sauce and sweet n sour sauce with free prawn crackers. All came piping hot and super tasty. All first class! Buffet was the talking point of the party with some saying it was the best buffet they had seen. Highly recommend this place for food and especially a buffet. Thanks Lucky Garden

I've always found the food to be verybwell made and delicious. Also it doesn't take too long for your order to be made. Their Friday noon till 2pm lunch time opening hours are great for a Friday treat.

Has to be one of the worst meals I’ve ever tasted, bland curry sauce hard chips, spent £40 and it went in the bin, avoid at all costs if you value your life

Avoid at all costs orbit could cost you more than you bargained for, went in the bin after first moth foul. Bland curry, bland and hard salt and pepper chips, dumplings smelled like cat food it's an art getting it this wrong

Nice clean shop. Onion rings were not homemade....shame though.

This place has never let me down been using it for years. The last year or so it seems to be even better, been told they have a new chef. The place is very consistent with the quality of food and a good delivery service.

Will never get a think agean ask for chicken fry rice and just got rice and 10 bit of chicken never agean will I give them my monney not the firs time I have ask them to come get stuff back

Terrible got salt chilli muchi box was cold mainly chips got butterfly prawns they were not butterfly... Prawn balls were tasteless everything cold won't be using again been yrs since I last had meal from here used to be great obviously went very much down hill

First thing I said on taking the order was a curry with fried rice. Order arrived no fried rice, phoned back up and was told very abruptly that I hadn’t ordered any! I think the woman taking the order was preoccupied with something else. Who orders a curry with no rice or chips any time I’ve done so in the past they’ve asked if I want rice or chips. Been a customer many years but not anymore it’s declined in quality and this was the straw that broke the camels back.

I have used this take away for many years and i have never had to complain about service, food or any members of staff until today. The girl who is answering the phone needs lessons on customer service and her people skills as her tone when taking my order was awful. It resulted in me cancelling my order due to her rudeness. Take note if you want to have long lasting customers then get staff who have good telephone manners.

Favorite Chinese take away since I was young and I have never had an issue with them, would recommend. Salt and chili munchy box is a good idea for sharing.

Wrong order delivered, phoned and told we were wrong and using an 2 year old menu. We ordered same items of the same menu last month, no problem! Then the lucky garden hung up! Once our favourite Chinese takeaway, but would never recommend them again

USED TO BE ONE OF THE BEST!! Now under new management and one of the worst meals i have ever had the misfortune to eat. The rice was mush, there was no flavour and an hour later it forced its way back out of me violently due to what a suspect was some very dodgy char sui. When i phoned to complain the guy just laughed at me, no apology no offer of compensatory food, nothing. I told him then and there that i had been using the Lucky Garden for over 20 years and he had just lost a customer... he just laughed again. You have been warned.

Food and service great would recommend

Never have to wait too long for orders. Quality of food is consistently of high standard.
