Asda in North Lanarkshire

The asda cumbernauld pharmacy is an absolute joke not only was i stood there like a dafty for 30 mins only then to be told I won't be getting my prescription till tomorrow with still over an hour till the shop closes because the woman claims "oh I have to many in front of yours" the smart person would put out a sign or atleast say that it's for collection only instead of having customers standing waiting like dumplings only to be told "no cant do it today thank you bye" not happy at all the whole place in general needs to sort itself out cos it's like a prison dressed in bloody green

Placed an order for Saturday delivery between 8:30 and 9:30 driver took it back to ahop because he didn't know the address 🙄 was told by the manager it would be sent this morning between half 11 and half 1 and he forgot to put it on the van! Was then told it would be tonight and guess what he's forgot to put it on the van again after calling and speaking to another store manager for an ETA!! phoned customer services for a refund and they just put you on hold and you get know where.....

This a place where sadly, confederate flags are acceptable and welcome. Why? Because apparently people don’t know what it means, according to their security. Confederate flag is a symbol of WHITE SUPREMACY- RACISM. The security informed me that while clear and obvious discrimination is a no no (like would be a big writing on a shirt for example), but “covert”signs, flags and symbols are okay. This is reinforced by many ANTI anti-fascist stickers around the building and facilities, promoted by a certain unionist group called Rangers fc. Charming.

Asda is a good place to shop for home items my experience there is good I commend the management and staff Weldone Asda

I like ASDA. It's easy to find what I like. The only downside is the dirty cash card machines, really not nice.

I want to say a big thank you to Jonathan the porter who helped me earlier this week when a birthday card and print I’d just purchased blew away in the strong winds. He retrieved both items for me and told me to wait inside the store so I could stay warm with my infant son. I really appreciate the help!

Shelves half empty and queues at both manned and self service checkouts

Your bakery is very sub standard. Any Asda Bakery products I have purchased I.e donuts and biscuits for the past 6-9 months have been dry and stale. There’s been times even when the shelves in the bread aisle and bakery area have been completely empty with products which were clearly made the day before. There doesn’t seem to be fresh products.

Asda Cumbernauld delivery, I am so upset that the delivery driver I had this evening couldn’t read the instructions that he was to deliver my shopping to my front door. Instead he delivered all my shopping to my back door gaining entry by force.unlocked my back gate. Clearly if there is two snibb locks on, then he has unlawful entry to my back door. Which is my living room. The back gate is on a totally different street. This is the second time this has happened. The driver isn’t even in the correct street for my address. He had no right entering my back gate. I have already stated this when ordering my shopping that it’s to be delivered to my house address on the street name and number provided for my house front door. Even if the pin address showed a totally different location, this delivery driver had no right forcing 2 locks open on a gate. And gained access to the back garden. Common sense tells you don’t enter. If there is locks on and it’s not a front door with house number. There was nothing stated on my order to fiddle and force entry ! Why wasn’t my groceries delivered to my front door? Why ? Who is he to come in my space. He obviously didn’t read his notes. I used to enjoy shopping at Asda Cumbernauld...........not any more! The staff at the self scan are so damn rude and need training on how to interact mannerly with paying customers. They look at you like your a criminal when an item needs an approval, even trying to make light conversation is just a waste of time, no courtesy whatsoever! I will be sticking to my local Tesco in Craigmarloch from now on, the difference between both these supermarkets is night and day.

See the Pizza counter in this store. It Is OUT OF THIS WORLD good. It's really good. I think Asda should add a click and collect functionality for custom made pizza's. They would sell out all the time. Every time I'm there, like Wednesday there we go to that counter and it's either shut or there's just no Pizzas left. It's crazy. It's so good I'd like to even just leave an order with them and tell them to text me it's ready or something, then just go pick it up. That would be pretty good. Maybe they can add it to their website. :D+< For context: The reply below was because I wasn't happy with my original 3 star review when I told them their lean fresh raw chicken breasts were pretty poor.

Brilliant shop , fresh produce, relaxing friendly atmosphere lots to look at . I got everything I needed here spending around £300 .

Security guards discriminate young lads

This store used to be ok for shopping on a Saturday morning but today I had to walk from trolley store to trolley store looking for a small trolley very little available here nowadays. Then with only 2 tills on and large ques at both I tryed the trolley tills where the first 4 items I put through didn't match their weight when put in bagging area and with red lights flashing all down both self packaging bays I reluctantly returned to the que with only 3 packed trolleys at it as it was the shorter 1 where I stood while that till had a technical problem as well. What a shambles these stores are nowadays. Technology costing jobs and people'spatients.

Amazing sushi counter with Panku! Great selection of veggie sushi available. Lots of food to go options and easy to navigate store layout. No queue for self service checkouts and they were very easy to use with clearly labelled cash or card machines.

Can’t believe my kid just eat out of date muller yogurts from Asda I only got them yesterday 10.05.2024 and the have been out since 21st of April I am in shock the would have this items still on the shelf after so mine weeks I will definitely be shopping elsewhere now it’s a wait to see if my child will be ill can’t believe it honestly ppl cheek the dates before u buy from this store I usually do but was in a rush this day as my kids hade kickboxing class soon after 😡😡😡😡

Asda is selling the " fresh " food out of the date. Very poor customer service. Don't want to sort this problem properly. Highly not recommended this one.

Was in tryst Cumberland Tesco's today between 2pm and 2.30pm. The customer service I received was awful and very very embarrassing. I was buying the valentine's meal today at the single self service checkouts today and realised I had forgotten my club card. I asked this lovely young assistant if I could get a family member to take a photo of the barcode and number and send it to me. She was fine for that to happen. I work a full time and part time job in social care and every little saving helps. A mature lady with long dark red hair approached and said she cannot accept photographs of my club card under any circumstances. I said to her I thought it was staff discount card photo's they could not accept, she said no it's club card photos. She was quite abrupt and her customer service was awful. Having worked in Asda for four years I can appreciate how hard it is to work with the public but there's a way to say something. To add to my embarrassment my neighbours were right next to me. I left the store feeling really upset and really embarrassed. I visited another store close to me and they told me as long as the picture scans they accept it as it's my clubcard. I had gone home first and got my card before I visited this store. £9 came off the meal which is an amazing saving and £9 I could really use off as I work hard to earn everything I earn, social care jobs are incredibly hard going and exhausting. This has really put me off going to this store again. I'm afraid with staff like this mature employee you will loose more customers as her attitude is terrible and I feel she requires more customer service training. If that's the policy then that is fair enough but there is a way to say this to a customer. I would also like to thank the young assistant who tried her best to be so helpful to me she is an asset to your company. I would have gone to customer service and said this all at the time but I started to get quite upset as I left the store and entered my car. I feel bad writing this as my last review praised the staff and to be fair iv always had a very very positive experience in this store over the 17yrs IV been coming here and any staff I have met have been amazing, just a shame one employee has soured my experience 😪

Very accommodating to ruffians and miscreants! After the mildly inconvenient incident that left a 7.62 round lodged in my leg, I fled to Asda to avenge my fine pal Michael O’Rourke. ‘Pon arrival, I located the nefarious nincompoop that mortally wounded I. Playing hit game The Bosses ‘pon his mobile device, he did not anticipate my rifle-based assault. The incompetent and bumbling Asda security guard attempted to put an end to my misdeeds, but not one of his 30 rounds managed to penetrate me. Nevertheless, my former hostage and current nemesis swiftly and efficiently extinguished my life with his weapon. Disappointing :(

The only thing I did not enjoy was your home delivery staff were not pay attention to other customers leaving the thing there were using in the middle of the floor in the alsie could not get down the alsie with other customer standing at each side

I love Asda for all my shopping. I can buy everything in store that I require ,without having to go from shop to shop.

What's going on with this place; about 6-7 months ago I was here a few times and there were always really bad smells around the fridges so I stayed away for a while. Now they have doors on the fridges so maybe they hold the smell in a little, but all over the store, the way things have been stacked and arranged is an eyesore and so mixed up. A couple of years ago this was a really good Asda, so I'll check out another store and hopefully it isn't like this one. Luckily the nearby Tesco and even Farmfoods just under the underpass are much better.

ASDA is always a great when you are requiring a shop, it also has ample car parking space.

I rarely use asda cumbernauld these days, it's a hit or a miss on wither the shelves will be mostly empty and if you do home delivery or click and collect they never have all your items and can be 10 or more things not available or substitutes and even the substitutes can be ridiculous eg you want loaf of white bread they will give you a bread mix

Would have given it more stars but our experience at customer services Sunday 13th march was absolutely disgusting, the two member's of staff should be retrained, which would be high on my list of priorities as store manager, staff like that let the store down or leave if they don't like their job, However after a phone call to operation manager, all was resolved, but it didn't need to go that far. The only saving grace was Peter at checkout

So went to Asda for porcini mushrooms and asked a member of staff as I couldn’t find them. They told me they were in isle 26 after I explained what they were. They were not there so went to customer service and asked them believing they could do a product check but apparently they couldn’t unless they had the product code. Considering neither staff knew what I was talking about and there was no staff who worked in fruit and veg on the shop floor not sure how they were going to help. Think it would be beneficial if the systems in Asda could do product check by name of product rather that product code the way they have in Tesco then maybe it would help customers get dealt with quicker. The member of staff also served 2 other customers (one of which wasn’t even aware she was being served as she was at the end of the queue) while he was supposed to be serving me.

Big supermarket ok prices has most of what you want.

It's good busy most of the time,we are doing our weekly food shopping from there and like their clothing offers aswell,Good for us because we can get halal chicken from there

Last month I purchased chilled fruit juice and it was one month out of date! It seems to be a regular theme with this shop as I have had a look multiple times since last month and a ridiculous amount of the juices are out of date not only by a few days but weeks. Clearly no staff take attention to this.

Got a great deal on the shark pet handheld vacuum & some 'free from' treats for my granddaughter.

How can they justify all these sale rails the fashion is horrible now and I think we can see this Asda do something about this fashion designs are old fashioned

Staff were very rude, took my basket of items to self scanners and was promptly told to move on as these are for trolleys despite only one person using them. Staff member picked up my basket and headed off with it. Went to get her name, Doreen, was told to go fu*&^%g run and jump. How rude Doreen, how rude, and to a customer that didn`t even raise a voice or be rude back. You and your sidekick are a huge disappointment to Asda, on reflection you must be proud. Its no wonder women`s rights are being eroded in Scotland, lets face it, who would want to be sticking up for you?

Prices are going up and up by, in most cases, ridiculous amounts making Aldi the better bet for shopping

Staff are really rude. Constantly dodging loading baskets so items can be hard to get to. Self scan area always think your trying to steal from them aswell. Had it a few times and seen other people harassed aswell.

There usual good range of produce but it's the staff that make this store so good. Helpful, friendly and always happy to answer any questions.

Its an asda so you know what to expect, an asda. Its a good size, has a cafe and a streetfood bit, has clothes upstairs (good selection and generally has a sale on for strange colour t shirts and xxxxs pants), usual select of not food stuff and then food stuff. Carpark is big, watch the queue for mcdonalds tho. The car wash is ok as well. Fuel is only the e10 for petrol which sucks if your car is old.

Disgusting fuel prices where buying fuel from asda in Carlisle is 6pence per litre cheaper

Fair range of items however the store is let down by the state it is left in, its like a minefield trying to dodge items abandoned in the middle of aisles everywhere. Staff are very rude and often heard chatting and swearing which doesn't make for a good family environment, certainly wouldn't take the kids with me if I was visiting. Also an absolutely horrendous smell coming from the fridge section, something completely rotten and has been that way for over 2 years

NO matter what time of day you order shopping from here they don't ever seem to have fresh pizza in stock.

From out of town and visited this store on two separate days while on a weekend away. Store is messy, stock and boxes lying on floor, not in the stacking racks ready to to be shelved or on pallets, store has an awful smell at the refrigeration section which is just off putting and unpleasant. Staff spoken to at kiosk were brisk and harsh

Having placed an online order while self isolation with covid this was my only lifeline, however i never received my order although online the driver said it was delivered also asda took my money before i apparently received this order. Four phone calls and an email later still have not received my refund had a customer service advisor hanging up on me and another saying i would receive my refund immediately. Now running short on food and no money to reorder. Great customer service 👏 asda thank you so much bad enough having covid and now dealing with this.

Staff are very friendly and eager to help

My disabled brother has just been to asda to buy cigarettes. He took his empty 10 pocket with him to show exactly what he wanted. Instead of 4 x 10 pks of what he showed them, they sold him 80 cigarettes of a complete different brand that he does not smoke. I didn't realise it was such a difficult instruction for the asda staff to follow. Especially after being shown the exact cigarettes he asked for. Shame on you taking advantage of someone disabled.

Not to bad as centre's goes some good shops the locals do enjoy but with so many shops now closed and pound shops taken over the vacant premises

RIGHT SO Me and my ma went shopping today and I saw a pregnant woman crying which made me angry so bad start to the shopping day then I came across na apple juice or lucazade flat so you Asda people better stock up because my ma and lasse and my boy want apple juice and I need my lucazade flat because I have a sore throat but I want lucazade go to tesco folks Asda isn’t worth my money.

Good big store with great sushi counter at the entrance where you can see fresh sushi being made continuously and purchase immediately. Good choice of sushi dishes available. The store is well laid out with plenty of choice and space.

Ordered a repeat prescription from Caledonian Medical Practice on Thursday (14/05/2021 ). It was ready at Asda 2 days later. Great job @Asda Cumbernauld. Much quicker than Boots etc, who can take a week.

They need to move the sushi counter from the very front, it's very strong on the nose

Bought breaded chicken half an hour ago no option to speak to.shop on phone so this is the only.option. The supposed chicken would win first prize as a door stop.it was that bad one piece actually broke into 2 pieces . It was rock solid. Clearly not being checked while under the heat lamps. Absolutely disgusting

Clean, well stocked, busy but not overrun with customers, compulsory facemask policy in operation. A nice shopping experience.

After the redesign it's a nightmare to shop in this store. I don't mind self scan, but the choice to reduce checkouts with staff working them seems foolish. This reduces options for the elderly and has presumably taken away more jobs while they bring in new vendors to take up unnecessary space. The self scan checkouts are usually manned by individuals too busy gossiping to notice a customer needs help anyway. I consider myself lucky that Tesco is nearby.

My only gripe with this store is that I can get a 12 pack of 500ml cherry cola bottles one week then can’t get them again for couple months. Would like them to always be available

I had nothing but praise for the staff at Asda Cumbernauld all during this unfortunate Covid 19 pandemic. Was in store today and was really disappointed to see customers walking around without face masks on. I brought this to the attention of customer service. I was informed that it is indeed mandatory to wear face masks but that they don't have the authority to enforce this. I totally understand they are unable to police this mandatory instruction. You will always get people who are self centered and don't give a damn about other people's health. What I can't accept though is the fact that there was numerous Asda staff walking around interacting with customers without any form of face covering.

Just back from Asda Cumbernauld and as long as this virus is in Scotland I will not be going back. No social distancing what so ever. No queue to get in. People just walking in. People standing chatting to others. It's like a normal Sunday in there. Busy busy.

Customer service at checkouts over the years has gone to the gutter level. Home deliveries they pick everything that's about to expire. Very disappointed most of the time.

Asda Cumbernauld the staff are all brilliant and friendly go out their way to help u. Theirs one lady in Asda who is always friendly and helped me out one day and I can’t thank her enough. Always talk to her when I am in her name is Janice she definitely deserves employee off the month . Toni x

Bought 4 orchids from there on monday .. I've grown orchids before and have some really nice ones I got and are doing well ..but the 4 o got from there with in 2 days all the flowers fell of and the leaves are yellow the leaves were not in the best condition when I bought them but thought that might just be down to there storage ... don't have a recipient to get a refund ... not very happy at all if your buying plants from there becarefull

Staff always pleasant but you can tell they're so short staffed. Especially busy periods when you’re at self scans or when you need find someone if can’t find a thing on the shelves

You go into store it’s basically like any other Asda.. you’ll find most of the staff are standing around customer service desk not caring about customer and having a chin wag while you’re trying navigate the annoying self scan tills. Even when you do get help most of the time they can’t or won’t even make eye contact with you as you try sort your problem. Customer service is a joke tbh. I do still find the store the cheapest but it’s also filthy

Chose this store to do a click and collect of my shopping. Arrive at 8pm and enter my order number at the lockers. Asks me then for my DOB which I enter and it keeps telling me its wrong. So I go into the store to speak with someone. Eventually a manager appears with another member of staff who try and help. They inform me every so often the machine will do a challenge 25 which is fair enough. Then one of the Lockers jam and I can't get my frozen items. I accept this isn't their fault. The manager then says if I can give him a copy of what I ordered he'd go and fetch it for me from in the store which was nice of him. He told me to wait in the car and he'd be 5 minutes. I was sat waiting until 25 past 9 before a member of staff who was going home offered to take it out to me as she would be passing my car. She told me the manager thought I was coming in for it although he did tell me to wait in my car and he'd bring it out to me. Won't be using this store for click and collect again as it's been the worst I've used. I've used Robroyston, Bishopbriggs, Bearsden and Maryhill and never had an issue.

Petrol station is becoming a joke. Constantly only one cash desk open at peak times causing mayhem with cars jockeying for space to pay at the drive through window. Staff look very disinterested with some rarely giving eye contact, a smile or even a thank you!! Standards have dropped pretty badly.

Visited for messages on Sunday 4th august, had coffee then used gents toilet, absolutely Howling,even though looked like recent fresheners in urinals.Fresheners will not hide what requires good old fashioned proper cleaning.

I ordered my breakfast at 09.46 and still had not been served at 10.15 when I asked the manager told me the ticket had been lost and it take 5 mins to get my order I declined and asked for a refund , i did not accept the apologies for not getting my breakfast as i could see they were not meant ,safe to say I shall be giving that place a miss in the future
