We have had a fabulous evening meal here with plenty of choice. We started with the Bangkok platter for three which was sumptuous and great value for money. Our mains were also delicious. Great service and in a pub setting the restaurant is situated in a side room so you don’t get the hustle and bustle of the pub clientele. Can’t rate this place highly enough.

Visited this restaurant for the first time and was not disappointed. Small and friendly situated in one half of the Royal George Pub. However, don’t be put off as the ambiance is wonderful and the food is delicious. The menu offers an great range of dishes as well as two set menus. The staff are extremely friendly and offer you advice on choosing dishes. There is enough food (plus) if you are sharing the set menu. Will definitely be returning here. They also offer take away meals.

My husband and I checked carefully with the waiter before ordering that the chef was able to cater for vegans: we stressed we couldn't eat any animal products of any kind. The waiter assured us that was "no problem", and sugguested several menu options. When a waitress brought our food over, we checked again with her that the food was vegan and she confirmed "there's absolutely no animal products in this" but checked we were ok with peanuts. So we were totally dismayed to find what looked like bits of omelette in our food half way through eating it. I asked the waiter who'd taken our order what the pieces were and he said "it's egg - you can eat egg, can't you?" Appalled that people in the catering business don't know what vegan means. Just lucky for them we don't have severe allergies.

I have no idea how authentic the food is, but it's certainly always well presented and tasty, and the portions are generous and good value for money. Read reviews and we were looking forward to some tasty thai food. Tom Kha Het was ok as was the Massaman curry although I have never had one before with silver skin onions in it! The steamed Seabass although cooked beautifully was lacking any flavour at all. Overall disappointing for us. My husband lived in Thailand for 14 years and this sadly is not authentic thai food.

We visited this restaurant for the first time last night, we hadn’t booked in advance, we arrived about 8.30 there was only one small table for two left, we were shown to the table. There was one gentleman working front of house and he was super busy, as it was our first visit we were unsure of the set up, but noticed people went to the bar to order their drinks, so we did the same. We sat for quite a while before we got the waiter’s attention again as he was working alone. When we did get his attention he was so sweet and attentive, he melted away any feelings of impatience I had at the wait, he moved us to a nicer bigger table, which he had cleared and cleaned before coming over to us. Once we had ordered, the food came out in good time and tasted good. We ordered Thai fish cakes, Phad Kra Prow, and Phad See Iew with chicken & Kao. I would have ordered dessert but was advised the kitchen had closed. I was surprised to learn it closed at 9.45pm. We liked the fact we were sitting in a pub and found the bar staff were friendly. We will return again as it so close to where we live, we thought it good value for money.

Love this place which is in The Royal George, Hersham not Walton on Thames. Consistent and reliable. The food is tasty and restaurant service very professional and friendly. It's great to be able to sit outside on a summer's evening and enjoy food from Nuntana and a beer from the pub. Although, restaurant is friendlier than the pub. Our 17+ year old was refused half a cider with his meal by an officious manager-type from the pub-side. We had already paid for this and it had been served to the table when it was removed without a refund, despite our pointing out it was within the law. The manger's view is indisputable, apparently. Restaurant side family-run, I believe.

I've eaten at Nuntana Thai a number of times - the food is always tasty and the service very friendly. It is very reasonably priced. The restaurant always seems to be busy whether it's a Wednesday night or a weekend. I usually go without booking and have never been turned away. I've also had takeaways a few times. The restaurant is quite quirky - it's in one side of a traditional local pub. It's not a slick 5* dining experience (e.g. you have to order and pay for your drinks separately at the bar and the wait time for food is sometimes long) but that adds to the charm. If you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere with good food, then I thoroughly recommend Nuntana Thai.

We read the reviews and decided to eat here. Not disappointed, nice food that was clearly home cooked. It was busy - testament to the product on offer. It did seem though as one room of the Pub was being sub-let. Drinks (and boy where they expensive!) had to be bought and paid for in the pub, food in the food area. The day we ate, a band was performing in the room next door. Not so good if you wanted to chat. The night we visited, there was only one waiter - service consequently was slow.

We visited The Nuntana Thai at the Royal George in Hersham having moved to the area recently and based on some of the rave reviews on Trip Advisor, 'best Thai ever' etc etc. Without doubt, the service from a wonderfully smiley and gracious Thai gentleman is truly outstanding, he's a delight, however the bar staff are 'slow', I waited at an empty bar to be served whilst one of the young chaps chatted to a friend and eventually had to be nudged by his colleague to get to it! I also ordered one of the nicest wines on the menu and it was warm, so we had to wait 10mins for our first glass whilst it chilled in a bucket of ice. I'm a real stickler for dodgy carpets in pubs that retain the smell of a few pints and wet dogs and this is one of those! If you've ever visited Thailand or a similar example of a 'Thai in a pub', the Norbiton Dragon in Kingston-upon-Thames for example, then this will disappoint. I ordered the Thai Green Curry, my Sister the Duck curry & friends other dishes. Honestly, the food is very average, ok after a few pints I imagine, but nothing to write home about! That said, the Thai gentleman's demeanor was memorable, he's the star of the show for sure. Wouldn't rush back for the curry though!

Not bad at all for a local pub but not worth travelling to. The service is great, very friendly & relaxed atmosphere. Not particularly cheap for a Thai, similar to reasonable Thai restaurant prices. Very large authentic menu. Spring rolls nice, chicken satay slightly tough, duck curry had a lot of fat but flavour was lovely, Beef Massaman was good but had better. The restaurant area is on the left as you enter, separate from the pub area, which works. For those living in Hersham or Rydens area of Walton, filling a gap in the market in our area for sure.

Having a great Thai restaurant in our local pub is somewhat of a bonus. The food was delicious with a great variety of dishes to choose from.

We are regular visitors to Nuntana's at the George. The service and food is always top notch. Having visited a few of the more up market Thai restaurants in the area we always return to Nuntana's because the food is simply the best around for taste, quality and price. The Tiger Cry is delicious. Highly recommend a visit.

The BNO club met for an evening of merriment at The Royal George in Hersham. This is an excellent pub with well-kept Young's Ales and an unexpectedly wonderful Thai eating area. The staff are, frankly, wonderful. And my food was exemplary. I had a Green Thai curry with egg-friend rice, neither of which could be faulted. It was very spicy – just right – as requested. My mate Nick had the best looking prawns I've seen for some time. And the bill? Main course with a drink, including tip... £17 a head. This place is fabulous. I'll be back.

The Royal George is a friendly local boozer which also happens to serve excellent Thai food. The pub itself has recently had a refurbishment, turning the desperately tired old saloon bar into a very cozy room and tidying up the rest of the pub very nicely. The beer is Youngs and is generally pretty well kept.We eat at the RG almost every week and so far haven't been served a duff meal. It's good value, served fresh and they don't mind modifying recipes to suit personal tastes. All in all it's a bit of a hidden gem.

The Royal George is predominantly a locals pub serving Youngs bitters and other beers as well as a selection of wines and the other standard drinks. The kitchen is run by a Thai family who provide a great range of authentic perfectly cooked Thai specialities lunchtime and evenings as well as British menu at lunchtimes. Sunday lunchtime is roast dinners. There is alway plenty of friendly banter going on between customers and staff and a loan traveller can easily find some casual conversation. If you fancy a good old fashioned english pub atmosphere with superb Thai food give the Royal George a try. During May 2011 the whole pub has been refurbished. Both bars are now suitable for either dining or drinking and there is a large wooden sheltered deck area outside.
