Went with friends today and it was wonderful! I had hummus, flatbread and lamb kofta meatballs and it was all delicious. Very nicely served with a good portion size. This restaurant which is also a wine shop has a beautiful secluded garden too. I am now eyeing the meze and tapas evening sharing menus. There are free car parks nearby (one with electric charging points) which make this a good place to stop off on the A303 when heading to more westetly parts of the West Country

I visited this place on a lovely spring day. I was greeted with a very friendly face and welcome. The vintage style coffee machine grabbed my eye. Tracy, the owner, had an incredible selection of delicious goods. I opted for the quiche, the word that comes straight to my head is Devine. It was oozing with delicious Mature cheese. I loved it. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

We stopped for a coffee having spent a night in Wincanton and found it to be delightful! A great selection of cakes & other treats and the best cuppa I’ve had in a while. Delicious! I loved it here, the place is full of character and the staff were friendly. I’ll be back when we’re next passing through Wincanton!

We pit stopped here after finding it on Happy Cow. We asked to know their vegan options and the staff member was very open, honest and approachable. We did not end up eating here as my husband and toddler were not a fan of spicy soup they were able to offer us - we had not booked or let them know we were vegan in advance. The owner was able to signpost us to a few other local businesses to try and even went as far as offering us to eat elsewhere and keep our table to return for a hot drink and to use the facilities before we carried on with our car journey. We will definitely pop by again next time we have plans to travel in that direction. Thank you for being so helpful!

Yesterday evening we walked in without booking and were made very welcome. We selected our wine, cheese and chorizo which were then brought to the table with various tasty accompaniments. We finished with delicious slices of cake and a generous amount of coffee.

I absolutely love coming here, it's a beautiful little place to sit have a coffee and a slice of cake, especially in the winter when the fire is roaring. The staff are always lovely and the owner is so friendly. It's a must-go-to place whenever you're near Wincanton. See you guys soon!

We love coming here for coffee and one of the delicious cakes. I particularly love the homemade cinnamon buns and the apricot amaretto. Last weekend we booked a table for mezze. It was a fantastic selection and all homemade. You can choose a bottle of wine from a wide choice on the shelves, charged at shop prices rather than restaurant mark-up prices. Brilliant!

Arrived here in a party of 5. We were asked to take a seat , the lady on the counter confirmed she had plenty of sandwiches as this is all we wanted with a cuppa. We took our own seat and waited. There was a woman who was going in and out of the back door but she never acknowledged us until 15 minutes later. There was no one else in the cafe apart from us and 1 person ordering a takeaway. When this woman finally acknowledged us, she THEN told us there were no sarnies at all so we were waiting in the freezing cold with no service and no food. The cafe opposite, Hooga is far more pleasing but sadly they were full, now we know why!

Number Sixteen caters for us vegans and hand on heart, these were the most delicious cakes I have ever eaten, anywhere. This will be a regular haunt of ours from now on. I cannot recommend this cafe highly enough.

Unique experience at No 16 last evening. Genuine attentive staff, great selection of reasonable wine choices stored on shelves surrounding delightful table arrangements. Step over to the deli display to choose bespoke platters brought to your table with pleasing bread. Great way to spend a chilled comfy evening with friends.

We are regulars to the fabulous Number Sixteen on the High Street in Wincanton and absolutely love it! We go for coffee and cake by the cosy fireplace in the winter months and have loved sitting in the pretty courtyard garden over the summer months for lunch and evening drinks and charcuterie in the sunshine! The homemade cakes are delicious and there is a superb selection of local wines and beers to take home or drink in this charming and pretty eaterie! The service is fantastic and the friendly staff always make you feel welcome!

Number Sixteen in a word is excellent. It has many wonderful attributes. It is half wine merchants/delicatessen (local produce), half cafe/wine bar. The decor is smart yet cosy. It is open as a shop and cafe most days but on a Friday it opens later...

This was a great little stop off on the way to the coast for us. The cafe does delicious food and drinks; family friendly and doggy snacks too. A nearby park for a walk and swings and slides too.
