Number 3 in Cheshire East

Waited for an hour and a half for delivery. Called and was told it was on the way. 2 hours later when called they said it was delivered then told they had a problem with the order and the food was not made. We were refunded but very disappointed with the service and being messed about. Would have appreciated honestly about the delay but unfortunately this makes us not want to order again.

My husband and I regularly get a takeaway from No.3. The quality of the food is always excellent and the delivery staff are very friendly. We can always expect to be told there is a wait of 45 mins but the door always comes much quicker than that. We ordered a takeaway on New Year’s Eve, we would expect a long wait but as always the guys under promise and over deliver. I would go as far to say it’s the best Chinese in the area.

I was surprised to see some of the bad reviews. The food was quick and yummy. I actually got prawns with ginger and they were perfectly cook. Would definitely recommend and order from here frequently. Recommend salt and pepper chicken as well

Decided to try this takeaway for a change and was impressed. Quality of the food was excellent, loved the steamed buns, they have to be tried.

We have previously given rave reviews for this takeaway. However, unfortunately, something drastic has changed. The menu has been slashed, in the number of alternative dishes, by about 60% and the quality has suddenly gone downhill. We gave them several chances - but they were consistently bad. Bear in mind that this takeaway is in the upper price bracket. There is almost no passing trade and used to be somewhere worth travelling to - past 4 local Chinese takeaways. However the quality worth travelling for has disappeared. We even used to have casual instant dinner parties by ordering over £150 worth of food - but never again. I mentioned that we gave them several chances. Here is what happened.... We ordered our regular dishes by phone(although placing an order over the phone is not easy due to difficulty communicating with the order takers) and then we collected the meals. The food was unrecognisable by comparison to previous dishes. In particular, the duck in plum sauce seemed to be a bit like deep fried chicken nuggets with a separate massive portion of weird sauce. We thought we had managed to order the wrong dish from the menu. So, a week later we phoned again making sure that we ordered the correct food. The same poor quality dish was again provided. Finally, not wishing to give up, my wife decided not to order by phone but went to place the order in person. She pointed to the photo of the dish on the wall - but was told that they had changed things and it was no longer available looking or cooked like the photo. So I think that we are off to the Flaming Wok - their main competitor. We'll let you know what we think after their first order - but we have used them on a number of occasions and always liked the food.

Had a couple of good meals from here but tonight failed to impress. Too many competitors doing better for us to try them again

Always a good standard of food. Open kitchen gives confidence in their 5 star cleanliness rating. Parking to pick up is a bit of a mare with double yellows but worth the short walk.

Takeaway last night was dreadful greasy and full of salt we could not eat the starters and the mains were just about palatable shame because I was ok not so much now. Won't be going again and my advice is to go elsewhere.

The prawns with cashews dish was tasteless ans uncooked I am actually cooking the phucking uncooked mess on the stove now. The crispy chili chicken was decent but had too much sugar in it. The shredded chicken dish was salty af. 1/5 actually probably 0. Awful. They used to be better. Never again.

Excellent food, amazing customer service, prompt delivery, definitely will always order from them. Food came out hot like it was right from the kitchen. 5 star rating for sure!

I have tried most Chinese Takeaways in Wilmslow but No. 3 has the taste & all we need, their chicken & sweetcorn soup is both tasty & generous, other takeaways have smaller portions, their Beef Chow Mein in sauce is generous & so tasty. John loves their Char Siu Chow Mein & Char Siu Curry, which I love too. We are hooked on their Chicken Wings which has a batter & is coated in Chilli & Sweet Chilli Sauce, they are totally addictive. Will not be changing anytime soon! xx

The food are taste very good, everything are fine, those staff are friendly and they had 5 stars on food hygiene rating that make me confident with their food.I recommend the beef in black bean sauce. I love it.

Ordered a takeaway and went to collect it. Was told it would take 20 minutes, fine. 30 minutes after my placing my order I'm sat in the takeaway... still not ready. As I started to look round the place I was SHOCKED..The fish tank on display looks like it hasn't been cleaned out for years, the kitchen is filthy. Then for the real bad news. I asked to use the toilet upstairs. They obviously prepare food upstairs, there was raw food on the floor, food out of fridges, generally very dirty and an absolute tip! complete and utter disgrace! How this place hasn't been closed down for a breach of health and safety is beyond me, they are going to make somebody seriously ill. I left without my takeaway...

Ordered food an it never turned up I tried phoning and at first was engaged for agers then when it did finally ring they said hello then put the phone on the side and never come back .so I hung up phoned them back an they told me they was closed at 7 in the afternoon ...I'm still sat here starving

We ordered a number of items, the chicken wings were disappointing, and didn't taste fresh. !!

Food was alright when it arrived. However, if youre a takeaway- commit to what u profess. DO NOT Answer the phone pretending to be an answer phone....its not funny. I rang back and got an answer and waited nearly an hour for food. Simply put, there are thousands of take-outs within a twenty mile radius that we can either visit when at friends or pay to have delivered. Don't make a mockery of your customers- you will fail.

First time, on recommendation.......never again, bland food, salty curry, best thing was prawn crackers, free by the way !!!!!.....still eating them because I'm starving!!!!!

Reviews looked good so order my food from here, staff very friendly,food is cooked in front of you as you wait,but after asking to use the wc upstairs! Well take a look for yourself. Large tub of curry on the floor, uncooked chicken in boxes on the side, not in fridges! The room was disgusting. Sorry no more trade from me.

The food from here is good but you are told 30mins for delivery and then have to wait over 1.5 hours

Always get our take always from here. Great food never had a bad one, staff are lovely. Food cooked in front of you. Staff happy and friendly. Efficient and quick when you order, you don't have to wait long.Good value for money.

This is a good quality, local takeaway that delivers. The menu is broad enough to select things you want without being too big. Food is freshly cooked but nothing out of this world.......and that is OK

This is a regular choice when we want Chinese takeaway. The menu has enough choice for everyone and the portions are a fair size. Free prawn crackers. They could supply a few more pancakes with their crispy duck! Recommend the salt and pepper king prawn starter.

My partner called on way home from work,( 2/5/2015 ), not knowing the area that well for takeaways so we took a chance, , duck spring rolls, salt n chilli ribs, mains were crispy beef and beef with green peppers black bean sauce & fried rice, OMG, really good and impressed with the quality of food they use, we normally use a restaurant in knutsford for takeaways but we will be changing to Number 3. Very nice a food is cooked in front of you. We will be recommending to family and friends.

I don't mind trying a place again after a bad meal to give them a 2nd chance and looking at some of the reviews it seemed to be OK SO I decided to try it again as the last time was in 2013.We ordered Chicken Curry,Sweet & Sour Chicken (that was the best) Beef &Black bean +rice etc and a mixed box of starters and boiled veg.The whole lot (except the Sweet and Sour )were disgusting the curry was like dish water no taste and processed chicken,not fresh, black bean was inedable salt and pepper chicken was soggy not crisp so all in all it was just fit for the bin and thats were it went a total waste of money Terrible food.

this has to be one of the best Chinese takeaways in Wilmslow food cooked in front of you and reasonable price recommend special kung po not on the menu but very nice with chilli chips

This place is so good! I recommend the salt and pepper chicken. We've had takeaway from here three times now and it never disappoints!

Definitely the best Chinese takeaway in Wilmslow! The atmosphere is great, and it's nice to watch your food being cooked while you wait. I've shared a salt & pepper king prawn, beef in black bean sauce, and the crispy duck with my daughter today and we both agree they were amazing. Oh and there are some Thai and Singapore food as well, I love the vermicelli!

Just goes to show I used to always use and recommend this Chinese take away when it 1st opened years ago but after bad press reviews after the 2 nd owner and god knows how many more I tried it 2 months ago I gave up on it sadly :(

I've just had a lovely prawn green Thai curry from here....lots of flavour! One of the best takeaways I've had in wilmslow.

Great local Chinese takeaway. Food cooked in front of you. Try the duck in plum sauce or the Yum Chow rice.

Best Chinese takeaway I've ever been to, always very fresh and tasty plus the staff are always a pleasure to deal with. Reasonably priced too, you can't go wrong. I would highly recommend the king prawn with chilli and garlic and their prawn dumplings are to die for.

Great to see the food cooked in front of you. Loads of choice from traditional chinese dishes to seafood and other specialities. Never had a bad meal. Best in area by far.

This place is awsome and with out doubt the best Chinese around. Downside is they don't deliver and they can be busy and difficult to get through to on the phone to place order.
