Came in blind to Malatang and came out loving it. The best way to describe it would be a make your own hotpot, you pick whatever ingredients you want and are charged £3.25 per 100g so go crazy. It really is what you make of it so pick what you love and choose a soup base to go with it and let the chef do the rest. Will absolutely be coming back again as it's a great fun dining experience.

What a scam, such expensive price with minimal ingredients. Single person portion for whooping £21. Disgusting.

(I paid £22.94) ⭐️There are plenty of dietary restriction friendly options (vegan broth & wide selection of veg toppings) additionally any allergen present foods were noted on the menu ✅Has a large variety of meat, seafood and veggie ✅Serving sizes were offered as a guide at the toppings station, which helps if you’re calculating your end cost ❌ I chose multiple different types of mushrooms but found they had a rubbery texture once cooked, the only exception were the small ball shaped, shiitake or button mushrooms, not 100% sure which they were. ❤️I would recommend Nudo Malatang to a friend.

The first thing that surprises me is that we can eat such Malatang in the northeast of UK. Because I know that there are many such shops in London or Manchester City. According to my personal understanding, this is not the traditional malatang that I knew when I was a child, but many of my friends told me this is a new modern style malatang, which is very popular not only in China and Asia, but also in many countries and cities around the world. After my first trial, not only myself, my kids all love it 🥰👍it’s quite fun, we can choose what we want for chef to cook for us 🤪 Of course, need to do a good control while picking.

I used to like the old one. I went last week and honestly, quite disappointed. No shushi anymore. The dishes are completely different. It is a shame, because I used to love it.

The restaurant’s menu has recently been updated and the food is amazing. Authentic malatang, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (helps if it’s your first time eating malatang) and the pricing is incredibly reasonable. Will 100% come back!

Loved nudos noodle house for years, they've just changed the menu with the malatang update and it's a ridiculous fall from grace. It's ran like a street food place not a restaurant. Paid £12 for this bowl but seems the ingredients cost less than 50p. Pork was so chewy and flavourless with so much fat on it knocked me sick, only managed some noodles and greens. Still fighting it coming back up.

We came for my daughters birthday. The food was incredible and thr staff were brilliant too! So friendly and helpful. One of our party was diabetic and they answered all the questions about thr portion size etc so that the medicine dosage would be correct before he ate. My favourite is the crispy beef in the tangy bbq sauce! Will definitely be back!

Nice venue with good food, prompt service and decent prices. We had Chicken Szechuan Udon and Lamb Satay with a side of Edemame. Lots of other options caught our eye. A return visit on the cards.

We ordered mapo tofu and tonkotsu ramen(the £12.50 one). I’ve been disappointed by Japanese restaurants in NCL, but the ramen here was actually quite good. Mapo tofu is unique but as good as Sky Chinese Cuisine and Chilli Padi’s, love it. Staff are very sweet too.

Always enjoyed this restaurant, and knowing they have a gluten free menu is fantastic.

Had tea here as it was the closest Chinese to my hotel with a work colleague. As we were both on expenses the restaurant had no problem providing an individual bill for each of us. We shared deep fried chicken, pork dumplings and mini beef ribs for starters - they were all delicious !. The Mini Beef ribs melted in my mouth, the dumplings were plump and delicious and the deep fried chicken was delighful. I had spicy beef with flattened noodles for my main , the beef was spicy (but not to much) and the noodles were cooked to perfection.

First time visitor and I am glad I visited. I had deep fried chicken, beef ribs and dumplings (last 2 shared) and they were delightful 😊. For mains I had spicy beef with flat noodles. The meal was lovely and spicy but not to hot. The service was excellent, the food delightful and the food was priced exceptionally well. I would recommend this as somewhere to come for a meal 😋

Korean Fried Chicken was ok but both the main meals were very oily, bit bland and consisted mostly of bland noodles. Flavours were very basic and had stomach cramps in the afteenoon. Not recommended.

So my daughters started liking supermarket sushi and my husband visited this place a while ago with friends and said we needed to take her to try proper sushi. I was a bit skeptical about price and thinking what if she didn't enjoy it. I couldn't have been more wrong. We visited today, walked in and asked for a table for 3, seated very quickly at a lovely table. Inside is nicely decorated with plenty of space. The staff we welcoming and friendly. We looked through the massive menu choice and decided to order 2 large sushi trays, some shanghi and rice dumplings and a noodle soup bowl. We were told the dumplings take a little longer to cook, which was fine by us. Food didn't take very long to arrive and when it was put on the table it looked soo good. Very fresh and well presented. It all tasted delicious. Our daughter enjoyed the chopsticks and worked her way through trying a bit of everything. We were all so full by the end but felt that the quality of the food was very good. I'm so impressed and will certainly go back to sample other items off the large menu. My daughter was also very happy to have bubble tea with her meal. Highly recommended this place.

Service was great, it‘s just that the food wasn’t great at all. It was greasy, lacked taste and it was overall very bland and underwhelming. We had two vegetarian noodle dishes and the glutinous rice dumplings, wouldn’t come back here again.

Delivery estimate changed twice during preparation - great quality food when it arrived (1hr after ordering) but would rather get a more realistic initial estimate to manage expectations.

Had a great meal here! I went with my vegan brother and there were so many excellent options, I went for the vegan ones too! Staff were lovely and welcoming. Had the chocolate fondant for dessert which was one of the best I've ever had.

The beef noodle soup was tasty and well seasoned, with plenty of tender beef. Would have preferred some condiments on the table like chilli oil etc, but not a big deal. Pleasant staff and atmosphere. I had no problem getting a table on Saturday lunchtime.

We ordered Peking toasted duck and savory Japanese Ramen. The flavors were exquisite, and the dining experience was enhanced by the delightful combination of authentic cuisine, warm service, and a charming ambiance. I am thoroughly relishing it and eagerly back again. Already got my hands on a loyalty card!

Extremely disappointed with the cold tiny portions that were delivered. We ordered Korean fried chicken, and i have to say that i know it was from the small eats section, however you just can’t serve that and expect people to be satisfied with it. There was 5 pieces of chicken drizzled with sauce. The quarter crispy duck was stone cold, with no hoisin sauce!! And the egg fried rice was the same colour as plain boiled rice! Just with added egg and a couple spring onions for garnish. Would appreciate

Delicious as ever. Authentic food, lovely staff and restaurant.

I have been coming here for years now, every time I come newcastle I will go as a little treat. The food is always fresh and extremely flavourful. The staff are extremely attentive yet not intrusive. The location is slightly hidden off the beat and track, but it is close to all possible amenities and is not difficult to find. The restaurant is always full, and wait times to get in are low.

3rd visit to Nudo Noodle House - been on a weekday / Sunday and now a Saturday, all lunchtime visits. NOTE: It does lunch and then closes and opens again for tea/evening. Have also visited the Northumberland Street Sushi / noodle bar at least 3 times and always great service and tasty food. Also cheapest coffee on the go ever. Smaller venue with well spaced tables - staff team welcoming and friendly with great knowledge about the dishes on offer. Menus on table and dishes have a photo accompanying which is a huge help in making choices on things that have not had before. Have tried something different every time have been here and all have been tasty. I enjoy their small dishes particularly the cucumber with garlic, tried the spring onion pancakes which were tasty and great for mopping up sauce. Their noodle bowls are good and some of our party had the crispy beef - which was a huge hit. We even got a hot water top up of our Jasmine / Green and Ginger tea :) Relaxed atmosphere and great service from a friendly team.

Came back again probably one of my favorite places to eat in Newcastle on account of an amazing tokotsu ramen style soup noodles. Having been to Japan this is probably the closest taste wise I can get to what I've eaten over there. Service was quick, staff were super friendly and everything is more than reasonable in terms of price.

Our food arrived 2 hours after we ordered and 90minutes after scheduled time. our delivery driver tried to send us a message but told us the just-eat app was not working we couldn't receive updates of where our delivery driver was it did not update for over 30 minutes it just said "we can not locate your driver" we had to make alternative food as we had a child who needed to go to bed. really unhappy with how long everything took tonight. seems to be a lot of issues with Just-eat internal systems

Good but not great. Asked for a half portion of sashimi as my wife doesn’t like raw fish. They couldn’t accommodate this. I could have salmon and tuna 50 / 50 but not just a half portion of tuna sashimi. Everything else was ok. Sadly won’t return. The punk hairstyle waitress really spoiled our evening.

Food was delicious, and great value for money. Unfortunately there was a fly in one of our dishes. The severs rectified this for us. Was very good.

Not authentic. Food is not fresh enough. Cucumber was dry and soft. Duck was too dry and hard.

This is my all time favourite restaurant in Newcastle, for around 10 years now. I always recommend the small plates to share and then we usually share mains too. The food is always the best quality and flavour and the staff are always friendly.

The Green Dragon Roll was amazing. I think it would be better without the mayonnaise on top of the avocado but it wouldn't stop me from ordering again.

Parking: a 5-10 minute walk from granger town parking which is free from 7pm. street parking is free or paid depending on time.

Having some beef noodles with the Malaysian homies 🍜Poached Beef with Ramen in spicy soup 🔥 Beef Shin & Pickled Mustard Green with Ramen 🍣 Raw Salmon Temaki Nice environment, and lovely Chinese Style soup noodles. A good fusion of Chinese and Japanese food.

We had a large party of 8. We were able to be sat right away. Ordered a large variety of food. Everything was very tasty. We all shared so got the opportunity to try many different things. Would highly recommend.

I visited with a work colleague for lunch one day. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet with only one other group in. We were seated and served quickly, and there was ample choice on the menu. After ordering, our food and drinks arrived promptly. It was tasty, though, not mind-blowing, if anything, perhaps a little light on flavour - Tom yum rice was not as spicy as I was expecting, so I was left a little disappointed. Service was prompt and the bill was accurate. Overlooking all not bad, but could be more.

Went for Mother’s Day . The place was freezing, so it wasn’t too comfortable. The dumplings from the small plates were lovely. There is no children’s menu which is a shame. The staff weren’t flexible when asking for rice instead of noodles with a dish, to the point of being rather abrupt. The stir fried tofu / noodle dish was tasty but was very oily at the bottom. The noodle soup was plentiful but somewhat lacked flavor in the soy broth. There was also a hair in it, so I left the meal. The sushi was great as always. The toilets did not seem too clean in one of the cubicles with skirting hanging off and a huge build up of much and dust. Sadly it seems to have gone down hill since our last visit

Popped in for a spot of lunch and so glad we did - food was absolutely sublime. Great service, atmosphere and catered for all. Will be back.

I visited this noodle house twice at the weekend for dinner and then for cocktails there is plenty of choice on the menu I opted for the Cantonese beef and it was delicious the staff are very friendly and helpful thanks to Orla for the best cocktails in town (southside royal & jasmine garden) I will be visiting soon on my return up here

I've come here a couple of times now after a strong recommendation from a friend who loves this place. Normally, Im torn deciding between a couple of things on a menu but here there were some many things that I fancied. I've decided that I need to come back here a few more times to work my way through some of the other dishes. Obviously, you need to enjoy pan-asian food but if it's spicy or meaty then I'm good for it. Nice restaurant and decent prices. This place has become my top choice for getting food in Newcastle now. Once I've been through more of the menu I may reassess but until then, numerous revisits shall be made.

Brilliant food, great service, could have done with some more soya sauce between three meals and some chop sticks/napkins, but otherwise perfect food as always, delicious!

Food was delicious and was ready to collect straight away. The only downside was that I asked for there to be less chillies, but it was still too spicy.

Service was good but the food wasn’t as nice as it was in the restaurant. The noodles were a very small portion and we had to add flavour to it when we got home as it was a bit tasteless it really didn’t look like £30 worth of food.

Sushi was great ! Wish I’d have known the beef and leek was a very very sweet sauce . Food delivered via bike so sushi was slightly squashed .

Good quality l think even though l only ordered spring onion pancakes and an egg! To make a £10 delivery. Delivery driver was polite & nice ... drove over 3 1/2 miles to bring it. I left a tip on front door step which he missed. Expensive but quality.

Our first visit to Nudo and we were very impressed. The staff were friendly and welcoming and provided prompt service. The food was served piping hot and were generous portions. Will definitely return again.

Went out for a family birthday, was the first time we visited here.... But definitely not the last. On arrival we perused the menu, which was extensive. On reflection I think we over ordered on the small plates but heyho. All the food was tasty and deliciously different. The mains were also of high quality. We had to admit defeat but the staff packaged up the leftovers for us. All in all I was massively impressed with food and the staff. Will definitely be back.

We usually love this restaurant and it’s food. We took our son and his girlfriend for a first visit today. Unfortunately we got two hairs in the udon noodle dishes. We appreciate these things happen. The hairs were found in the first couple of mouthfuls! So we weren’t complaining after eating half of the food. Unfortunately the Manager argued the fact that no one in their kitchen had hair to match the hair in the food, so making us feel we had ‘planted ‘ the hair which we had kept as evidence. All we required was replacement of the food which contained the hairs, not a refund or free food. This was supplied begrudgingly, the attitude from the manager was not good. It took the shine off our visit and we felt very disappointed by the managers attitude. We didn’t want hairs in our food! They were there, and the situation could have been handled so much better. Due to the poor handling of the unfortunate situation I have reviewed the restaurant lower than I would normally do. I’m afraid the Manager needs to brush up on her customer service skills.

We have been ordering sushi and other dishes from Nudo Noodle House since last November. We were never disappointed: delicious food nicely delivered, fast service. Finally some weeks ago we managed to eat in the restaurant and it was just lovely: dishes as usual were special and the service impeccable. Best sushi in town!!!

Sunday lunch in Newcastle, we wanted to try something different than Sundays roast so I checked Chinatown and found this place on Tripadvisor with a good reviews (and the picture of stir fry looks very appetising). It was 9 of us and we didn’t book, we still managed to get a table and staff were friendly and accommodating. We have ordered some dishes from main menu, some from veggie menu. Definitely plenty of choices for everyone. The food was tasty, lotus roots, spring onions pancakes, spicy seaweed, salt and pepper tofu, edamame, pork slices … all very yummy and tasty. I ordered for my main poached beef ramen and it was marked with 2 chillies as spicy dish but it was extremely hot and full of chillies (however meat was soft and tasty). My friend’s kung-pao had still chicken skin on and wasn’t crispy … all the other dishes were spot on and portions were huge so worth the price. Our waiters was lovely, even she little bit messed up our order we would like to thank them for looking after us, especially one of my friend has severe nuts allergy and they took extra care to serve him.

Delicious bit a little disappointed the Shoyu Egg was only one for £2. Otherwise, very nice!

I tried Nudo for the first time this week, and the sushi was absolutely delicious and so fresh! A friend & I shared the California Rolls, Spicy Tuna Rolls, and some Salmon & Cucumber Maki. We both also had an appetiser (chicken & sweetcorn soup...

Amazing food amazing can't wait to do again, by far the tastiest Asian food I've had in the UK ever 😋
