Nice coffee spot on the outskirts of Harrogate. Good food and drinks with a cosy atmosphere and welcoming staff. Food did take a while to arrive but was great when it did.

Exceptional Cafe Experience at Nord Coffee House I recently had the pleasure of visiting Nord Coffee House, and I was thoroughly impressed by every aspect of this charming establishment. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to enjoy a coffee, a hearty brunch, or simply a place to relax and unwind, this cafe ticks all the boxes. I can’t recommend it highly enough and am already looking forward to my next visit!

The cappuccino I ordered only half-filled the takeaway cup - was in a hurry and didn't notice how light the cup felt until I was well away from the place - and was about 4 mouthfuls. 2 such cappuccinos and a cinnamon bun = £9. Expensive; won't be back.

Read good reviews on local forums so decided to visit today for sandwich and coffee. Unfortunately didn't realise that they closed at 3.00 and stopped serving food before then. Arrived at 2.35 so had to go somewhere else (Costa). Just a suggestion but maybe you should make it clear on your social media what time you stop taking food orders? I see from previous posts that you stop making food early to allow time for your kitchen to be cleaned - perhaps the cleaning could be done after your official closing time? Too many places in Harrogate close mid afternoon 😱

Strange little cafe. The food is great, the drinks and service not so great. This could be such a lovely little local cafe but very poor service and an unwelcoming atmosphere really lets it down. We arrived on a Saturday lunchtime, expecting the cafe to be busy but it was empty. Slightly puzzling, we know in its previous life as The Kitchen, it was always a popular and busy spot. The owner and 2 young assistants don't seem particularly interested in customers or customer service but the food is good quality and good value. Drinks and cutlery seem to be particularly puzzling. A few improvements would really make a huge difference. 1. If you have older customers, go up to their table to take their order. Don't let them struggle back down and back up the steps. 2. Don't run out of teapots. Not sure how a cafe run out of teapots, especially when the cafe is empty. 3. Remember teaspoons. And have them near where you're making hot drinks. 4. If you advertise a drink on a poster in the (Black Sheep) make sure you do actually sell it! 5. make sure you know where the bottle opener is. 6. Bring all drinks at the same time. Don't stand and chat between bringing the drinks. 7. When bringing hot food, remember to bring everyone's cutlery at the same time. It makes it easier. 8. When the customer ask for a top up of tea (because there were no teapots). Don't just take the empty cups. It's good to clear the empty plates as well. 9. It's not really comfortable when staff are just sat in the corner of cafe chatting. Espec when plates could be cleared. With small changes, this could be such a lovely local cafe which could be popular and well used by locals. At the moment it's a quite a sad and unwelcoming little place.

Been interested in this cafe for a while and drove across Harrogate to try. Came in and sat at a table. Drinks were left from the people previous. I had to ask for them to be taken and this was about 30 mins into my visit and my food and drink had been given and they just had not take the previous drinks. Ordered food and drink. They forgot a sandwich order and said we hadn’t ordered it and then they realised we had and said he wouldn’t charge us for it but we had already paid. They for a drink that was order and I had to go back to the till and ask again for the drink. I understand things are forgotten from time to time but to ask for the food/drink ordered and then be told you didn’t order it was not great customer service. The food was good but the experience wasn’t great.

Popped in en route to RHS was my first visit clean and friendly.

Used to be great. Recently I had to wait 20 mins for a BLT that had two tiny pieces of bacon in.that barely covered half the sandwich. Today my girlfriend waited half an hour for two takeaway sandwiches. The coronation chicken was ok but no salad. The bread is sliced from the packet. Such a shame

Called in for a coffee and a sandwich. Coffee was great but ordered chorizo and mozzarella cheese on sourdough bread...... unfortunately the "chef" could not spot the difference between chorizo and salami. The girl who made the coffee could but the chef insisted it was chorizo. Clearly food is not marked up correctly in the fridge - I won't be returning but environmental health should visit !!!!

Visited on a cold morning for coffees.. purchased a soup which was gorgeous.. chef add some toasted bread. Cannot recommend enough. Lovely little cafe.

Lovely Brie, bacon and cranberry panini. Not hard and crispy like most places do them. Decaf tea. Prompt friendly service.

Just miserable. Service/ quality of food/ atmosphere / cleanliness, all very poor. Do not go, so many better places to grab some food in harrogate.

Waited half an hour for a small breakfast for to then have to find staff to ask for condiments. After I had waited half an hour the rude man in the kitchen tried to belittle me, non to his awareness I had been waiting 30 mins.

Very quiet as in no atmosphere at all and it had a fair few people in there. The black coffee just tasted of hot water and the stools at the front are so uncomfortable I stood up. Left half my drink and won't be going back sadly.

Sent horrible sugar free coke when I asked for normal coke

Looked up Nord quickly this morning and saw they closed at 3pm, arrived a couple of mins after 2pm and when I went to order was told food stopped at 2! Having driven over from the other side of Harrogate to specifically support an independent business - I was pretty annoyed and frustrated - unfortunately for Nord, Waitrose got my money today and I won’t be returning. For the sake of a couple of minutes I’m really surprised and disappointed with the customer service (well lack of!) - good luck!

Now open some evenings! (Although not showing on GMaps opening times). Wines, beers, Filey Bay whisky, gins, charcuterie and cheeseboards - check it out!

Food was late, ordered around 1130, got food at 1. Ordered two breakfast sandwiches and drink, sausage and bacon were undercooked. Bacon was white and stringy and disgusting. Ordered hot chocolate and paid for marshmallows. No marshmallows at all. Awful service, awful food, no care or effort. We won’t be returning. All this for £20 too! Horrendous

I've visited a few times. Coffee ranges from excellent to good depending on which Barista makes the coffee, decided to try the bacon sandwich. Sadly, cheap, white roll with no flavour. Paying almost £5 for a bacon sandwich I would expect good quality local bread and bacon. There wasn't even butter on the roll. My husband had a scone which looked delicious. I think if Nord wants to compete in a very crowded market they have to work on their consistency and quality of ingredients and menu.

Pricey for a workmans lunch but ultimately great quality ingrediants and flavour with a good quality tasty fresh ground latte to boot, Sometimes its just a case of you gets what you pays for would go again for a treat.

The only thing is the expense. For standard breakfast sandwiches, the price was very expensive for the similar quality near by.

Excellent coffee , pastries and breads from secret bakery. The owners are wonderful - as are the staff! Lovely welcoming atmosphere and very dog friendly. Just what our area needed!

Fantastic new café in Harlow hill - great coffee, breads and pastries as well as sandwiches. The donuts are to die for !! Lovely friendly staff well worth a visit.

A most indifferent experience. The person in charge had no interest in his customers, was unfriendly and bordering on hostile. The offering is poor, particularly the cakes which certainly are not home-made. Given that this place has had three previous owners and closed, I can only see this place going the same way.

Food service is fab and no hassle, must go.

Very enjoyable experience for a new cafe. Lovely sandwiches on local secret bakery sourdough bread. Beautiful local cookies from harrogate cookie Co and a cheeky few to take home. The most amazing cinnamon bun. Was huge. 2 lovely flat whites. Very nice cafe, lovely friendly staff. Nice decor, lovely addition to otley Road. Will return in a couple of weeks when the menu is expanded as currently a limited opening menu.

Had the donut with jam in the center and it tasted amazing! A nice American-sized pastry, can't wait to try more from here :)

Went there yesterday lovely place. Bought a box of Donuts yesterday they are all gone now. Will be going back soon and will be bringing the dogs.

Stale cinnamon bun. Very ordinary coffee. Extremely disappointing.
