We live in the village and absolutely love the MMI (where Nourish is based). The people are lovely, the atmosphere is so welcoming - they're a proper community hub. Best of all they're super dog friendly!

We stopped at Nourish for some lunch after the long walk up the hill from the beach and were able to sit under the sun umbrellas at the front of the old mining institute building where the cafe is based. We had a couple of excellent toasted sandwiches and I had probably the best mocha of a week of many mochas from across Cornwall. Excellent value for money and really friendly staff.

Gorgeous coffees and a great variety of cakes. We got a white chocolate and raspberry bakewell tart and a peanut brownie and they were divine! The coffees were very good too!

We’ve been visiting Cornwall out of season for a week and frankly all of the food has been big portions, fresh and great value. There are two things that stand out at Nourish at the Mine & Mechanics Institute. Firstly, the flavour and freshness of the food and secondly and most importantly the two ladies who work Nourish, they are open friendly, funny and informative, one sat down with us for a chat about Cornwall and the other lady took the ‘mickey’ out of her colleague and of us, they were both lovely and engaging. It may be cafe food, but not as you’d know it. Great value and local produce. Really worth a visit just to to have lunch with the ladies. Has a full bar, hot and cold freshly cooked food, cream teas and cakes!

Great freshly cooked food down at The Track. No need to pack a picnic Julie has a large menu of freshly cooked and prepared foods . Support the small local businesses you won’t be disappointed

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

Went into the Orange Cafe Bar on New Year’s Eve day time not actually knowing it was a plant based cafe. Not being vegan doesn’t mean you can’t visit this lovely little cafe, there were four of us and we had meals and drinks, I had hummus and roasted vegetables which was delicious my partner had a flat bread type meal and our other two friends had mac and cheese and loaded fries everyone enjoyed their meal, don’t bypass this lovely cafe in the middle of the village.

The waitress did not listen and proceeded to get four orders wrong the coffee was good but the food left a lot to be desired hardly any choice we went at one o clock and lots of things were out of stock definitely would not recommend

Very friendly service, immaculately clean cafe area and of course the adorably friendly Hugo (the dog) - wonderful experience, thank you
