Awful salad hardly any grains, mainly kale, had to ask for basic dressing and the extra hallouni I paid for was 4 tiny squares. Worst sad I've had in any place. Frienfs said welsh rarebit very average.Plus had to ask for printed bill then saw overcharged and don't take cash! Won't be going there again.

Stopped here for afternoon refreshments while trying to find our way out of Canary Wharf on foot - thought we'd landed in The Trueman Show! It's very much in keeping with the Canary Wharf atmosphere, which you either love or hate, but the reason for writing this is the fresh mint tea I had. Absolutely fantastic. Fresh mint leaves in the teapot and even my coffee-loving wife was a bit jealous. Definitely worth a try.

What can I say? A Sunday morning breakfast with the newspapers - who could want for more? And what could be so simple? My partner arrived before me to order an English breakfast tea. They delivered green tea. I arrived as the tea issue was being resolved. The waitress walked away ignoring the fact I’d by now taken a seat. I called her back wondering whether I was invisible. ”coffee please” We ordered eggs on toast and a granola. We waited. We waited. We waited. 35 minutes passed by. ”excise me could you chase our order?” Waitress disappears. 10 minutes later she reappears. ”just another 10 minutes” We ordered more tea and coffee. By this time we'd been there 40 minutes! And ”all” we’d ordered was eggs on toast and a granola Waitress returns with fresh tea n coffee. ”so sorry but we’re short staffed - another 10 mins” ”but it's only granola and eggs on toast?l” ”i know. Sorry.” ”could you cancel the order. Had you told us you were short staffed and we’d have to wait forty-five minutes we’d have gone elsewhere” ”im sorry” Wsitress returns with the full bill of £13.80 for two teas and two coffees. The first tea had already been paid for bit that had been forgotten. ”as we've now been here 50 minutes maybe you could ask your manager to discount the coffee and tea” She did. Off to Pret we go....oh dear! What a disaster. Never again. In short....if you want good service minus the excuses - look elsewhere.

Nice cookie. Service was pleasant. Take away only branch conveniently located in the station. Clean. Quieter in the afternoon. Very busy in the morning.

The americano and almond croissant were really good. Very busy take away only branch located in Canary Wharf station. Grab and go. Service was fast and efficient despite the line. Good range of coffees and other drinks. Some pastries, cakes, savoury croissants, granola pots, fruit and a few other treats to have with your drink. Not cheap. Main issue as per most Notes branches is service which is never great. Service I mean in terms of staff being friendlier and welcoming. They deliver on efficiency but they can be friendlier.

staff in Canary Wharf cross rail place are 100% rude (explains why it’s so quiet maybe). Also just went in to order breakfast (sign says up to 3pm) and they told me they don’t serve breakfast. Is this your policy? If yes might want to change your sign!!!

Sadly, not very proficient at getting a dairy-free order correct. I do not pop in regularly but I would say that every other order they get wrong and use dairy milk over almond/oat as requested. This morning I ordered an almond milk hot-chocolate but when the drink was passed over and I checked, no they had used dairy. No apology. They re-made the drink but it definitely wasn't almond milk!

I allways pop to notes in canary wharf whenever i am in the area. Coffee is allways spot on. I do occasionally pop in the one in st mary axe as well, and this one can be a bit hit and miss. But in general, notes is probably the best coffee chain at the moment!

I came for a coffee , and the girl at the back was using the phone , so her colleague I supposed he told her , “there is a costumer “ and me to be nice and to not put to much pressure I just said , we all working keep going it’s fine , she started to be upset , and she told me .... IM THE SUPERVISOR , I know what I am doing with the phone , you don’t have to comment ... hey relax , I was trying to be friendly , why you have to be so rude ? ... and I have my doubts on your position at this point because if you are a supervisor as u said , you must smile and be friendly as well , it seems like you don’t really care about what are u doing and I felt really bad about something that was just a joke said with a smile ... seriously ? Never come back me and all of my friends work there ...

We stopped briefly in this cafe after looking at the winter lights. We had some tapas style plates including a tasty mushroom mousse. The service was attentive. This place is good for a quick stopover.

It’s a really oddly designed place which doesn’t really provide adequate seating inside. Coffee is always good and I like the bag of coffee you get for table ID. Good location

Delicious coffee and cakes in a plate glass, light and airy environment. Try the doughnuts or banana bread!

We had to kill some time before a movie, stopped for a small starter and drinks. The food was nice, the drinks were alright, the staff was OK. I would expect to be informed of whats not available before I make a choice, did not happen. I chose a started and only then was told "this is the only item we don't have" - then it would be nice to advise me beforehand and save my time choosing something different.

Five of us went to this cafe in Crossrail Place one Saturday morning. The tables were being cleared by one of teh staff, but they were not wiped clean of the previous customer's crumbs. We had to clean the tables ourselves. We went to the counter and first asked for a black americano, the staff member asked if we would like milk with it? How dumb. Our coffees were brought to the table - the only good thing about the place. The coffees could have been MUCH HOTTER. Avoid this place - overpriced coffee which isn't very good and dumb and lazy staff.

Hot smooth and fantastic coffee. Service is really great here however you should be waiting a couple of minutes because all the coffee is made fresh and taste is better than any coffee shop to compare in terms of Starbucks and Costa. Polite staff and and great atmosphere the smell is something that coffee dreams are made of.

Stef was a superhero to our 9 year old who hit his head gawping at the London skyline. Stef grabbed a huge bag of ice and helped our little boy in his hour of need. Frappacinos and coffee great here too.

Sargeant's Mess is a British restaurant just in front of the Tower of London and adjacent to Tower Bridge. Created by celebrity chef Mark Sargeant, the restaurant serves unmemorable food in a fairly bland atmosphere buttressed by one of the most spectacular locations in London. The food concept behind Mess is to offer traditional British fare at a high quality. Frankly, it is just average. The food is the weakpoint of the restaurant. The concept just seems to have fallen away with for instance the only vegetarian dish in the main course even using the American name Mac N Cheese. It is ok but it is just macaroni cheese so there's a clear ceiling to how good it can be. A large part of the menu is burgers. Not exactly traditional British fare. The vegetarian burger was not bad because it had an avocado in it. Otherwise not the kind of a quality a specialist upmarket provider might generate. Dessert options are fairly limited though the Eton Mess is ok. Service was not that great unfortunately. The faux accent was jarring in its articulation. Chips as an accompaniment to a burger were served without question as to whether a condiment could be offered then an over the top response was generated to a question asking whether such a thing could be provided. Price is high considering the fare. The location does demand a price like that but the food does not. Sargeant just has failed to generate interesting eating. One real shame for a December lunch was that it turned out the Christmas menu was not on offer. It was a real disappointment and made the whole place feel like a let-down. The plus is absolutely the magnificent location. Nestling in the shadow of the Tower and next to Tower Bridge the views are incredible. Looking out at the Thames is beautiful here although the number of window seats is quite small. However, going outside while waiting for food for instance offers a terrific perspective on some of London's finest buildings. Admittedly it is perfectly possible just to walk along the Thames and get the same view. Sargeant's Mess is ultimately a disappointment. The food is flavourless and too simple. Nothing interesting about it at all. No creativity or flair. The price reflects the location and so is too much for the quality of the eating. Service is not great and it was such a shame to find the menus advertised on the website did not exist in reality. The plus is the magnificent location, one of the very best anywhere in London.

Im assuming this is the stour cafe 258 Kingsland Road, and if not then thats what I'm talking about! Amazing coffee and the best bacon sarnie Ive ever eaten. Had in back in early December. Sour dough bread, butter, amazing meat and brown sauce - it was just brilliant. The bread was ace too. Great chef!

Loved this place.......I never rate places these days - been living in London too long but got my account sorted just to log in and give this place 5 stars. Great good, fair prices and exceptional people - London needs more places like this.
