It is always such a pleasure to come to Notcutts. The breakfast is exceptional value and the quality is excellent. The staff are always so warm and friendly. I normally don’t write reviews but I think it is very important to give a shout out for good service and always with a smile! We came for afternoon tea for my nan’s birthday and it was absolutely amazing. They decorated the table beautifully, the food was delicious and the service was great. Thank you so much to Emma and the team for all of your service today. They also gave us a helium balloon, a banner and a cake!

Come here for afternoon tea for our nans birthday. There was a good variety of food, sandwhiches, sausage roll, quiche and few different sweet options. Staff were really good as well, they put a banner up, also put a balloon on the table and provided a cake and sang happy birthday. The staff were amazing.

We have just been here for an afternoon tea, for a birthday. Amazing service! Everything was lovely, balloon, banner and cake all provided. Selection of food was all lovely and a good variety. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely, clean and beautifully decorated restaurant. I had a fabulous lunch served by extremely courteous and helpful staff. Menu choices are super and everything freshly made. I am a regular customer and no matter how busy it is, the service and quality food are wonderful. Thank you so much 🌻.

We come often to this garden centre & like it very much. They have a good selection of plants etc, & we love the Restaurant. The food is good & all the staff are very friendly, we are on first name terms with Lou,Kat,Lisa,Emma,Roy,Bi,Elaine & Rachel,Lindy,Sally & Abbie who are on the tills. What a pleasure it is to come knowing you will be greeted by lovely staff. They are a credit to Notcutts .

Since they reopened the restaurant here I have been going once a week for my lunch. The fish and chips is as good as I have had anywhere. Fish is white and cooked just right with a thin and crispy batter that is not full of oil. The chips are chunky and good along with the mushy peas and tartare sauce. Complete with a slice of lemon it is a lovely lunch. The covid regulations are dealt with well and correctly. Other items appear to be equally good. The staff were friendly happy and helpful.

Visité este café ayer con mi hermana; eran muy compatibles con Covid pero la comida era pésima. Tomé un quiche y ensalada, había mucha pasta y casi nada de relleno, la pasta era extremadamente pesada y el fondo era plomizo. La ensalada consistía en unas hojas de ensalada, una tira larga de pimiento rojo y unos trozos de tomate. Mi hermana tenía patatas asadas y queso con ensalada. Había una enorme cantidad de queso rallado en un cuenco junto a la patata.

Llegamos para un almuerzo tardío y la única opción que quedaba era quiche, que teniendo en cuenta lo tarde que llegamos era comprensible. Después de veinticinco minutos nos sirvieron una pequeña porción de quiche, ensalada y patatas nuevas. La quiche había sido calentada en el microondas, la masa estaba blanda y empapada, la quiche aguada, las papas estaban llenas de ojos y parecían cansadas y las hojas de la ensalada estaban amarillentas. Más de 8. 00 por porción, espero mucho mejor. Lo único bueno fue el amable personal.

We like to treat ourselves to a good cooked breakfast at the weekend, and this place hits the spot. It's a reasonably priced, nicely cooked plate of food. They're also good at dealing with dietary requirements.

Food here is rather expensive for what is low quality food, had the breakfast and quite a bit of the egg white was still raw, sausages had almost no flavour and entire plate of food was lukewarm at best.

I have never been a fan of this rather shambolic and noisy and overcrowded place..full of people on special offers and today was the worst ever. Queued 20 mins to place order as only one till and everything seemed so complicated and slow. The cashier also makes the coffees and their is on,y one machine so when she got multiple orders..as was the case for everyone the queue ground to a halt. It’s not that their were not enough staff..the place was awash with them behind the counter and in the kitchen but no one to do the coffees and teas. Eventually we ordered two jacket potatoes. Simple we though but how wrong.After queueing again, twice, for more drinks as the wait was so long we gave up after 50 mins after we were given our number. More an an hour and ten minutes after we started to queue. Totally and utterly unacceptable service and will no ever return. We left hungry and I have cut up my loyalty card. I was disgusted because it was easy to see what was wrong..The one person in the till should not have to preste a slow and inadequate coffee machine as wellThe kitchen staff were slow but there were enough of the Only one person bringing out off who stopped to chat to her friends all the time hence food being backed up as wellA most unpleasant experience. Others too had the same fate avoid like the plague. I am never returning.

We popped in whilst shopping for a mid morning breakfast, well it was no worth it. The food was warm but had an awful after taste and for the price we expected better. Would not visit again and would not recommend

Hoy mi amigo y yo visitamos en nuestro almuerzo y fue un servicio horrible. Todo es ridículamente caro. Mucho personal y sin servicio. Nuestra comida se sentó debajo de una lámpara durante más de 15 minutos, cuando la solicitamos, fue traída e incorrecta / luego demasiado tarde para corregir. El peor 15 (total) de almuerzo que he tenido. Tarde de regreso al trabajo. Y esto fue con el restaurante solo alrededor de un tercio lleno. Evitar.

Llamó el domingo para recargar geranios para la granja y se detuvo a tomar una taza de té al mismo tiempo.Estaba muy ocupado y tuvimos que esperar. Pero todos fueron muy agradables, recibieron una sonrisa y una disculpa por la espera. Pronto obtuvimos nuestro té de cerdo Earl Grey con una rebanada fresca de llovizna de limón (Mi favorito) para acompañar mi té. Todo el personal estaba ocupado, pero parecía feliz en lo que estaban haciendo. Este nuevo equipo parece ir en la dirección correcta.

Esperamos 30 minutos por una barra de pan cuando llegó el relleno era muy pequeño y el pan estaba duro.Cuando le pregunté a la camarera ella fue a preguntar al chef,¡Volvió a decir que el pan era solo de ayer! !Ella nos ofreció un café gratis, pero nos quedamos sin tiempo después de esperar tanto tiempo para una baguette rancio.Es una pena, ya que hemos tenido algunas comidas deliciosas aquí en los últimos años.

Decidí parar a tomar un café y un pastel con mi hija. Mi hija tiene enfermedad celiaca y la selección de pasteles de GF fue muy buena. Sin embargo, la cafetería en sí estaba muy sucia, el suelo estaba lleno de comida y trozos de basura. Nuestra mesa estaba sucia y pegajosa. No parecía haber nadie despejando mesas en absoluto. Una mujer cerca de nosotros pidió que se abrieran las ventanas y también que se abriera la puerta de incendios, ya que hacía mucho calor y el joven que trabajaba allí dijo que no había llaves para poder hacer esto. No volveremos a detenernos allí hasta que limpien (literalmente) su acto.

Bearing in mind we did not come at peak time but rather late afternoon on a Sunday. The restaurant was not overly busy but gosh was it slow!! There were two ladies serving on the tills and plenty of other staff walking round but whose mission it appeared to be to avoid eye contact with customers under all circumstances! Ordered a club roasted panini and as there was nobody around to warm it up I had to wait to I got through the slow till, it was then another 15mins post paying and sitting down, and it looked like it had spent that amount of time in a toaster! Bacon had no crispness to it at all and it required a lot of sauce to be palatable. However it's saving grace was the overpriced fruit and nut flapjack covered with white chocolate sauce which was delicious and very nearly worth the price! Was bemused that it was also cheaper than the plain flapjack which was half the size. Toilets were better than on my previous visit last year which was a relief

Don't expect to order anything hot to go with your coffee, takes 20 minutes to put 2 pieces of bacon inside some bread. Went and asked after 15 minutes as my wife had finished her cake and coffee and mine was cooling. Eventually food arrived with a surly attitude. Why do they have to serve food to order when it's cooked and under hot plates .... aren't we able to present a plate and have it populated on the go ..... other places seem to manage.

We ordered two roast dinners at 1150 on a Monday and received then at 1235, (same day) only after having to remind the staff of our wait at 1230. Either lunch is ready to be served at 1200, as advertised, or it isn't. Food and plates were luke warm. Yorkshire Puddings were missing. We will not be lunching here again.

The wait was way too long, almost gave up and walked out. Staff were flustered and told us they hadn’t eaten or drank all day and it was gone 2:30pm

My friend and I went to Notcutts today for lunch, the wait to get served was agonising. The system of sorting out how to order meal, paying for said meal is ridiculous, with the poor woman on the till having to leave the till to make tea, coffee etc and take the food order through to the kitchen for the meal order to be processed. Why, oh why dont they think things through and put more staff behind the counters. One person doing all the work, no wonder when I went up for teas, in a queue of five people it took me twenty minutes to get served. Disgraceful, I most certainly wont be going back. Oh and unless you want fruit especially apples the size of crab apples at a £1 a time I would avoid those as well..

we visit each month and have a coffee and sometimes a meal. We have had some very bad experiences with the meals and have had to get refunds on more than one occasion, yesterday for 2 attempts at getting out edible fish and chips. Their standards seem to vary, and we noticed the service is worse when the manager is not visible. Have had to wait 45 minutes for a sandwich in the past, timing is of the essence. At least now they have put a customer microwave in the café so you can heat those luke warm items. Staff always willing to change/put right meal, but one does not always have the time to keep sending stuff back. Chips can be good, but only slightly warm the last few times. I just send them back and I get hot ones, apart from yesterday when I got even colder ones back. Always lots of customers, and I think they rely on those whose standards are not particularly high, or they cant be bothered to complain. If I am paying for food, I want to enjoy it. Please can the chefs up their game, you can produce good food, just be consistently good.

Consistently the best chips on the planet. Crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside. Good portion size. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Super food and wonderful helpful staff. Thoroughly recommend .the staff are always on the ball and so friendly and helpful . If you get a store card you get three 2 for 1 main meals in the year. Nice!!

Went here on a Sunday some weeks ago with my Sister-in-law and my disabled brother. My brother was in a powered wheelchair and the table and seating arrangements at Nottcutts Cafe are not the best. For some reason they have some large armchairs which take up a lot of spaced. The other tables and chairs were very tightly spaced and it was with some difficulty that my brother found some room. The food was a long-time coming (about 40 minutes). I had ordered fish and chips and my fish wasn't properly cooked. In fact, the tail-end was raw. Normally I would have taken it back, but because we were so squashed in and it was difficult to get out I just couldn't be bothered. So in the end I left the rest of my fish.

Fui allí ayer con muchas otras personas para la cena de Navidad, todo lo que puedo decir es que fue repugnante. El pavo era espeso y duro. Mi amigo pensó que era cerdo. Las verduras estaban crudas y las patatas asadas estaban duras y la salsa estaba asquerosa. El pudín de Navidad no fue mejor y probé un poco de poca cosa, que era algo grueso en un vaso. La comida debe entrar y la ponen en un congelador hasta que se necesite, definitivamente no cocida fresca. Creo que eran las 17. 50 por cabeza. El personal era agradable, así que no les gustaba decirles lo que pensábamos. La mayoría de las personas a mi alrededor me dieron su pavo, así que a los perros parecía gustarles. . . . .

Esta fue nuestra primera visita. Fue un día ocupado, pero solo un punto de pedido estaba abierto. No nos quedó claro cómo debíamos ordenar ya que había un mostrador con comida caliente donde en muchos lugares pedirías. Resulta que usted ordena cuando paga, pero la señora en el punto de pago estaba tomando las órdenes, haciendo las bebidas y tomando el dinero. Parece que hay otro personal parado haciendo muy poco. Habiendo dicho que el personal era amable y que la comida se entregaba en buen tiempo y era de una calidad razonable.

Alguna mejora en la calidad de los alimentos desde nuestra última visita. Desafortunadamente la espera es muy larga y nadie parece estar a cargo. Los tiempos de espera no se recomiendan y parecen ser de alrededor de 45 minutos.

Popped in for lunch as just passing. If I’d have read the reviews beforehand would have passed by, so glad I didn’t.

We went here on a really hot Wednesday and it was so hot, due to lack of air conditioning, we couldn’t face getting any hot food or drinks. We found a table that was clear but not wiped and enjoyed some cool drinks and cake. It was nice enough but we wouldn’t go back on a hot or even moderately warm day because it was so uncomfortable. The place was generally a bit messy and unkempt looking.

I came here for lunch with a friend last Sunday and really wished I hadn’t. We waited 45 minutes for food and were not warned of the long wait. My pie and mash was ok when it finally arrived but my friend’s tortellini was awful. Very dry with no sauce. I shall not be having lunch here again. It is all very well luring people in with two meals for the price of one on the Notcutts card but you do need to improve the quality, the service and lower the prices.

Aparecimos aquí para comer un bocado en un domingo. Fue decepcionante ver que aún estaban publicidad comida en señales desmontables mucho tiempo después de los espacios de tiempo para aquellos platos había terminado. Si fue una señal permanente lo entiendo, pero se puede mover/llevaron muestra una falta de orgullo. El restaurante estaba sucia y pegajosa - lucha claramente a seguir con la limpieza. Hice mas de limpieza que lo hicieron cuando mi compañero accidentalmente golpeó mi bebida sobre mí, no un miembro del personal de ayuda llegó mientras yo estaba en mis manos y rodillas limpiando todo.

Es difícil encontrar algo bueno que decir acerca de este plato de comida. £11 y cuando me preguntaron si era la mitad de la porción que ofrece me dijeron que no lo era. Muy poco pescado dentro de este pequeño pedazo de pescado.

Following a visit early in 2017 i was unsure if the service or food had improved. I only had a coffee (large size was more a medium size to me) hubby had a cottage pie and veg. Which was delivered promptly to our table. It was hot and hubby enjoyed it. The tables were kept clean and service was with a smile.

Popped in for a Sunday mooch around. After a disappointing look around we stopped for some food and I really wish we went home and ate there.

This is the second time I have been here recently and had bad service and bad food. Today we went to food counter, the assistant came up stood there for a few seconds then walked off didn't appear to be doing anything then came back and took our order 2 x Lasagna it looked liked we had had the last bits,it was very dry and not at all a pleasure to eat, salad was not worth bothering with, I left most of it. I then went and got some drinks and my tea was luke warm, horrible!. Nearly all the tables had dirty dishes on we moved them somewhere else, when someone did appear to deliver food they walked back empty handed. Such a shame as I remember having a really lovely Mothers Day Dinner a couple of years ago!

La comida siempre es buena. . . . Pero. . . Las mesas son de izquierda. sucio y VI 4 miembros de paseo personal por una mesa vacía y dejar todos los platos sucios y tazas. Cuando finalmente llegó alguien que simplemente tomó los platos y ni siquiera limpiar la mesa. . De hecho todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí no vi a nadie limpia las mesas y la mayoría de los clientes eran de limpieza y limpiar las mesas en sí. . .

We went for lunch and walk around garden centre, lunch was lovely, we both had ham, egg, chips, with side salad, very nice good price how ever if we had known how big it was we would have shone as big amount off chips, two lovely thick slices of ham, and two eggs, lovely, with a lovely pot of tea with cup and saucer, lovely

Looks like a simple cafeteria but has a reasonably wide range. However we thought that the prices were a little high.

We had Sunday lunch. I don't know whether the menu is different on a Sunday but our lunch was good. We had roast beef. Beef - very good & plenty. Roast potatoes - very good. Cauliflower - very good, Cabbage - very good. Yorkshire pudding - very good. It was nothing fancy, just a plain straightforward traditional Sunday lunch.

No hay gluten pasteles gratis y seres paquete caro comparado con tiendas de café estándar. Zona de estar poco atractivo y agobiante. El personal no era muy feliz y parecía molestarle que él no podía tomar mi bandeja a pesar de razón fue mi café aún no terminado. Dijo que el café era fuerte y agradable, así que probablemente no parecía que estaba terminado. No volveré.

Mediocre would be a compliment to the food we had here. The prices were way too high. The only particularly good bit was the chocolate cake.

Decided to pop into the restaurant on Wednesday. Food was awful, was TD it was the end of lunch time, but that shouldn't be an excuse for dry fishcakes, oily sauted potatoes and salad that had seen better days. Definitely not as good as it used to be, will not bother going there to eat again.

Had just re-signed for our privilege card so decided to take advantage of 2 for 1 offer in the restaurant. Braised beef was extremely disappointing and expensive. Very small portion was over cooked with loads of mash and hard peas (how about petit pois?).Maybe restaurant management or supervision has changed? Staff themselves are very friendly but I don't think I will be back since despite a 2 for 1 offer iot is not very good value.

Just One Look is All it Took.Stayed 2 minutes.Set in the middle of a wellstocked Garden Centre.Polite Staff.Loads of Garden Goods but Cafes are not their thing.Its a take a tray and line up place.I was told there was ONE roast dinner left & that 2 other customers in line ahead of me were showing interest.However I appreciate being informed rather than the possibility of a threesome punch up over the last remaining Roast Beef dinner!Fish & Chips,Baked Beans,Chicken Pie ,Fried Stuff that sort of thing.Kitchen looked busy.You could see at a glance it was all "bog standard"UK type mass produced canteen food & pretty standard.A certain type of customer seems happy here & it was busy but for me the standard was way too low.Sorry didnt float my picky boat!

My this restaurant should be closed down . Tables and chairs are filthy and as for the food it's none edible . Such a shame as the Garden Centre side of it is great . Get yourself a good chef and some good waiting staff and you could come up trumps .

Whilst being seated and waiting for our food my friend and I tried in vain to clean off the filthy table we were given. Full of sticky residue and crumbs etc from the previous occupants. We had a table next to the window....which was also filthy and looked like the sill hadn't been cleaned for months. We had to eventually go and ask the staff for a cloth to clean it all....not impressed. Manager of the restaurant must've been having a bad day too as he was so miserable. Don't think we'll visit again.

It was a busy day when we visited, but that is no excuse for lots of uncleared tables, those that were cleared, were still dirty with crumbs left on chairs and tables with spilled drink.Shame as the cake was nice, but queued for ages, one person doing tills and drinks at same time.Shall not return in a hurry

Was a while back now, but miss Amber Cann served me in a rude manner and hiccuped loudly in my face. Will not be returning!

Popped into the restaurant having done a bit of shopping. Cake looked great as did the pasties. Did eat here a long while ago for a roast that was overpriced with frozen veg. We were hungry so thought panini's are safe. I ordered Ham and Cheese and chose a side of coleslaw rather than salad. Was looking forward to this at £6 a pop. When it arrived I was disappointed, cheese wasn't melted and the guy very nicely took it back to heat a bit more. It came back lovely and hot and melted. Tasted nice, however they were very stingy with cheese and the ham. The coleslaw was good too, not much of it though. If I had paid half the price, I would have thought fair. Sorry Nottcuts, if you want to charge a higher price you need to do better than a school lunch :-( If I go again, it'll just be coffee and cake. They did look good.

Been to enough garden centre cafes to expect indifferent service and high prices but we very surprised to be proved wrong on this occasion. Since we could find no obvious pubs along the way to Oxford, this was a last resort choice. We had tea, pasty and chips and all of it was really hot and tasty. The ginger cake was also good.

We were on our way to Cirencester and looking for somewhere to stop for a bite to eat. Unfortunately the road we were on seemed to be bereft of good looking pubs so I must admit that it was with a certain amount of desperation that we pulled into Nottcutts Garden Centre. On being led round what we considered a very circuitous route we eventually found the restaurant which was fairly busy for a Friday lunchtime. It's the usual type of layout for these sort of places, like a canteen really. Order at the counter and if you choose a meal you're given a number and it's brought to you. I'm sure most of us have eaten in similar establishments so the food offered is the usual fare. We chose a cheese and onion pasty with chips and tea. Pasty was really hot and tasty as were the chips and especially the tea. Long time since I've been in a cafe like this and had such nice hot food. We were pleasantly surprised. Ok it's not fine dining but perfectly acceptable, and of course you can wander around the nursery and shop area as you leave.

Very impressed with the delicious cakes on show, they looked and tasted moist and fresh. The amount of variable drinks is also impressive.

We went to Notcutts last weekend for the breakfast with Santa experience. The food was delicious, the presents were lovely and Santa was great. Very friendly, sang a few songs and read a story. He even cut up my daughters sausage! The only downfall was the lack of communication from staff about where to sit, when Santa/food would arrive. Other than that, well worth a visit.

I booked for my 2 children to have Tea with Santa for today. We arrived early and looked round the Christmas displays etc. which were lovely. At 4.25 we made our way to the restaurant for our booking with Santa. The children were all seated at a table without parents (which wasn't explained at booking and some people weren't pleased about) which was in the main restaurant, in amongst other people having food. I felt this was poorly done, a table cloth and cracker doesn't make up for the lack of privacy and dos the make it feel special or even Christmassy, I mean there wasn't even any Christmas music being played! The food was brought out, overall the food was fine, my kids enjoyed it except for the cold peas and carrots but then Santa appeared and I must say I was horrified! Some form of pretence is expected I feel! As a parent we try to bring the magic of Christmas to our children's lives but having 'santa' turn up with a very poor outfit was a joke! The string was even showing on his beard for goodness sake!! He kept tugging his beard, obviously it was uncomfortable but it just made it more apparent that it was fake. He was asked various questions by the children and fumbled through his answers, he seemed uncomfortable dealing with kids and struggled to interact with them.When booking it stated that Santa would interact with the kids, reading a story or playing games, none of this happened. It said that the session was 4.30-5.30 but Santa left by 5.10 so we left then. Over-all we were incredibly dissapointed and certainly wouldn't recommend anyone to go see Santa, especially if they want to keep the magic of Christmas alive for their children. I'm gutted that I wasted my money and exposed my children to such a false and fake experience.

Visited our local Notcutts near Oxford for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake... No plates to place your cake on... no staff to replace them. Lack of choice , cakes on offer looked old and dry. Overpriced or what!! Grubby floors and cluttered tables. Didn't stay. Awful place to eat. Off to wyvale garden centre Bicester. I suggest you do too....

We went to this cafe on Saturday, there were hardly any cakes, we had a piece of Victoria sponge which was very dry and stale and the coffee was from a machine but the tables were dirty the floor was dirty with food, we sat near the window there were flies buzzing about and lots of cobwebs above our heads not what you would expect in a place where food is served. Disgusting!!

I always enjoy visiting notcutts, especially just to have a look around. I'm a little bit put off by going into the restaurant sometimes as it's real pricey. The staff are okay.. Could do with cheering up a little. The food is good, definitely try the plot and platter

I love the garden centre at the Dukeries but the restaurant is sadly lacking in all departments.. The most important one of all is hygiene.. The young man who served the four of us, grabbed the food with his bare hands and put it onto the plates - no gloves no utensils and obviously no training. How do they get away with it?

Responded to a flyer offering two cream teas for the price of one- big mistake - should have learnt from experience. The voucher stated that cream teas were valid after 14.30. We arrived at 14.55 only to find that the only scones available were cheese and chive and there was no cream, not that you would want any with cheese and chive.We asked if some scones would be made available and the answer was no. We asked if the cream was available and was told also no as it was deep frozen.The restaurant was hardly occupied so where did all the scones and cream go in 25 minutes?It saddens us to say but this place is just badly run.

Ordered soup, which was there on the counter and duly poured into bowls. But we weren't alowed to put it on our tray "as it has come through the kitchen" . After 30 minutes it still hadn't come and I finally collected it myself. The food counters were empty with just a very few tired cakes. They admitted they were short staffed. Many people waited longer than we did - up to one hour. No sign of a manager. Several people were collecting refunds as they left without any food. I do hope they get it sorted as it has been a pleasant e peril ce I the past.

Popped into Nottcutts on our way home from Oxford this lunchtimeOrdered fish fingers on white bread. Big mistake. Served in limp cheap white processed bread and limp salad. The fish fingers were deep fried and very greasy. We should have complained but didn't, principally as their appeared to be no visible management. This was also bourne out by dirty and uncleared tables. We won't be hurrying back

My friend and I have had drinks and cake here, usually fine. Today we wanted a quick lunch and ordered sandwiches containing 'hand breaded fish fingers'. They weren't breaded, they were battered, and it was like armour plating, encasing thin slivers of dried up poor quality fish. We left most of our meal and did complain but weren't offered a refund. Staff seemed tired and fed up. We found out later that another customer had also complained and had got a refund.

My grandchildren had a fantastic time when they went for "Breakfast with Santa". Santa helped them cut up their sausages and after breakfast he read a story and gave out presents. Mrs Claus was also really good with the children and led them in a Christmas sing song.

Garden Centre with restaurant which is nice clean and the food and drinks well presentedplenty of staff on standby and tables kept beautifully clean

Whilst recently visiting family in the area, we visited Notcuts particularly to use the café. I was so disappointed in availability, selection and a totally unconcerned staff. The Manager sat on his laptop in the café whilst the place was in a mess. To us, all they were advertising was empty cabinets as there was virtually nothing on sale. The tables were dirty, the service point for knives/forks/spoons etc. was not clean and staff, totally oblivious to the mess or Customer Service needs. The garden centre was fine and the staff very good and attentive, however, the café needs a good shake up and Managing properly, rather than allowing disinterested staff to carry on damaging this business.

My daughter had chicken which was so dry it hurt her jaws eating it. I had a jacket which hadn't been washed or prepared still having shoots and mud attached. Both with side salad and mud. With drinks that were below par. Service was lovely checking ingredients for my daughter but give the food a miss, total waste of money.

We live near by so shopping in this garden centre a lot. I would say if you are very tired and would like a coupe of tea/coffee then this place is ok. But not for lunch. And also not a big choice for the kids which is very important for me. Pricey and slow on weekends.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch today food was excellent and service very good. £14.95 for three courses very good value.

Had breakfast which was delicious especially the sausage. However the staff looked as if someone had died. A male customer asked for a glass and female waitress pointed over there as he still wasn't sure a female customer showed him! I asked for a teaspoon and was told there were none and would have to wait until they had been through dishwasher!!! Good food let down by poor staff. Yet staff in garden centre were most obliging.

Service of lunch at a weekend promotion aimed at getting older people into the garden centre was most disappointing. A slow-moving queue at the service counter was followed by a 20-minute wait for food of all kinds, from putting a baguette on a plate to the preparation of a hot meal. The reason? 'There's a 20-minute queue and you're at the back of it', and yet this was known to be a busy weekend. The checkout assistant was required to prepare hot drinks (which she did very quickly) as well as take the payment, and the rest of the small staff were working their socks off. Perhaps it was just unfortunate that the restaurant manager had left and not been replaced, but staff elsewhere in the centre spoke of staff reductions and general dissatisfaction. Food was OK when it arrived, but only just. Clearly the organisation of the restaurant and its service left much to be desired. Or perhaps, it is just Notcutt out for this sort of thing.

My husband and I have had breakfast here on a few occasions. It is good value and not bad quality. Coffee and cakes are also of a good standard and they offer some good value meal deals if you become a member of their gardening club.

Feel that they could do better with the quality of their beverages. My tea was a pot of warm water and a seperate tea bag to add myself. Tea needs to be made with boiling water added to a teabag. Very dissapointed.

Very little choice for a cold snack for lunch and over priced. I was also put off by being forced to walk through the Christmas Grotto to get out of the place. Why on earth do we have to put up with this Christmas garbage from early September when we're still in the middle of a lovely summer?

have had coffee and cake here which was very good but we actually had a meal there today which was very good my husband had the ham and chips and the potions were very large he couldn't eat all the ham but he said it was very good it was thickly carved not thin like a lot of places. impressed

Lovely garden centre let down by the miserable staff working in the cafe! Ordered 2 breakfasts for £6 and it was as though I'd cancelled Christmas! A bottle of orange was almost £3! Will visit again but miss out the cafe due to miserable female staff.

Not bad for a garden centre restaurant. We had breakfast, well cooked and hot and eggs cooked as I requested. I have also visited the Notcutts in Birmingham and it also serves food of a high quality.

Quick self service but with garden club drink and food offers for a small annual fee means lots of footfall
