Barring covid we always do a shared office party. Normally at the Winter Gardens in Margate, but with this now closed we opted for the golf course. We all make mistakes! Really simple things here... Arrive at 7 for food at 7.30 = starters rolled out at well past 8.30 and mains at 9.45. Desert was probably closer to 10.30. We were told that they had been caught out by how many attended, hard to believe as it is a ticketed event. For balance they did pop a bottle of Prosseco on the rable as an apology, for us this seemed a gesture, but the table next to us got 2 bottles between 17 people. I pre-ordered drinks for the table and was assured they would be at the table when we arrived = no drinks. (We were advised that unless we pre-paid no drinks would be provided, this seems fair, but I did offer to pay before the event and was told there was no need. A Christmas party with a disco = not one single Christmas song. The staff were excellent, but on the basis this was not no venues first Christmas party of the season, it was really poor.

Wow! What a fantastic Sunday lunch. We had a drink on arrival in the upstairs bar and with the lift were able to let mum enjoy the fantastic views across the golf course to the lighthouse and sea beyond whilst sipping a gin abd tonic. A great selection of ales as well. Some of us had the 3 course and some the 2 course carvery and were all full up afterwards. Great value and smaller menus (and prices) for the kids. So good we have joined as social members for £50 and will now get 15% off our meals and 20% off our drinks for future visits. Staff were brilliant and we can thoroughly recommend it.

Came with friends for Sunday lunch. Delicious traditional roast with other options available. Although busy the dining room was a bustle of quiet enjoyment. And oh what a view to the North Foreland lighthouse and way out to sea. I felt I had stepped back in time to a calmer world but without any pretence or stuffiness. The waiting staff were lovely and attentive. Just sorry I live such a long way away.

Our family enjoyed a fabulous Sunday Lunch. Beautifully presented and delicious starters and desserts. Our highlight was the cavery style main course of wonderful roasts and stunning trimmings! We'll definitely be going back. The Restaurant was busy (most tables full) however not noisey or hectic due the lovely dining room.

Had our reception here on Wednesday , afternoon tea, trifle and lots of tea & coffee for 58 Absolutely lovely, food lovely, service lovely all lovely Nothing was to much trouble for Margaret and her staff, evening curry to follow Also lovely Truly have no reason to complain only applaud all of the staff and the chef and his team simply outstanding So grateful for making our day special

Great place to take your family and friends for traditional Sunday lunch. Delicious roasted meats, good selection of meats and veg. Vegetarian or pescatarian options available. Nice atmosphere. Great sea views across golf course.

Attended a Christmas party here and the food was very poor, the veg wasn't cooked and the mince pies inedible.

I would like to thank Sarah, Margaret and the team for all their hard work to make my daughter and new son-in-law's wedding such a wonderful occasion. When I arrived the day before with the cake, favours, decorations etc. Margaret took charge telling me that from this point on she would do all the worrying and I was not to worry about a thing. This was incredibly reassuring and I did indeed stop worrying. Everything went according to the detailed notes Sarah made and from the moment the bride and groom arrived until the end of the dancing, everyone had a brilliant time. The meal was excellent and the service was attentive. Well done.

The club has a new head chef. The food over the past year has been good, but a new chef has taken over. The food is so tasty, I have had two meals this week and previously the plate was almost regulated with the amount of meat and veg on it. The belly of pork I had was so tasty. I am not normally a fan, but having had it, how I presume it should be cooked, wow! What a surprise. I am gluten free, yet this is not a problem at all and recently even had naan bread and onion bhaji's cooked for me. So long as notice is given, Ian will try to facilitate any request. Margaret, the head waitress, was very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Sarah, the marketing and hospitality manager, works so hard to ensure that everything you require can be achieved. I was very impressed. The staff all seemed relaxed and happy, a very good evening. A real improvement and am looking forward to my next meal there.

After having our Silver Wedding Anniversary Party at The Northforeland Golf Club four years ago, I knew that there was no where else where I wanted to celebrate my 50th Birthday. The function room has stunning views of the golf course, fields, lighthouse and sea, the food is amazing and the staff are fantastic!!! What more can I say? I've booked my 60th already and would highly recommend anyone having a special function to visit North Foreland, you do not need to be a member and you will find a very happy and relaxed atmosphere. Both of my sons were able to perform live and what with having a great disco that kept us on the dance floor all night ( Thank you Horace Hotman ) it was a perfect night.

We recently went to our sons wedding reception here and can't praise it highly enough. The food was excellent (the best roast beef I have had in years.) The staff were excellent. They were polite, helpful and not at all intrusive. Very professional. I never heard any complaints only compliments from everyone who was there. I would recommend this as a venue for any function. The setting it wonderful. Congratulations to all staff.

I'd like to start by thanking Nicola, Margret and the team for their fabulous hard work making our very special day super special!! We had approx 90 guest of all ages and dietary requirements and I have to praise the chef and kitchen staff for the excellent 3 course meal we throughly enjoyed!!! There wasn't a complaint in sight just compliments all round!!! The service leading up to the wedding and the actual big day all went so smoothly with great communication all the way through. We had every faith and it was more than we imagined!! Couldn't recommend this venue enough for any occasion however big or small!! Thank you once again!!'

At last seem to have got their act together in the restaurants and were not really up to scratch before and spoilt what is a really good golf course. Now the service is improved and the selection of dishes much better with really decent sized portions.

Booked table for a special occasion for our family. Not impressed at all with quality of food and ambience. I would compare it to school meals !!!!, And the whole place is far too stuffy for me. Sorry, won't be returning for a second time !

This restaurant used to be excellent. Sunday lunch needed three sittings to satisfy demand. When we last visited it was down to one sitting and half empty. Probably says it all. Service remains attentive and the presentation good but the Carvery was poor with the vegetables cold. Add to that the substantial price increase and you have a restaurant in decline. A shame. PS Don't look up. The fans and beams have so much dust on them it could have been a disaster if they had been in use!

We recently arranged a family celebration (50 guests) at the club house which resulted in a resounding success. The venue was perfect with great food and excellent service in a very ambient setting. Music was provided by Richards Rascals Jazz Quartet which was top class. Thanks to Nicola and Paul for having created such a wonderful setting and great service. We would not hesitate in recommending the North Foreland Club for parties or receptions of any kind.

A fantastic venue for a wedding reception, the food was superb, staff all helpful and pulled out all the stops to make this an occasion to be remembered. Wonderful setting for the photographs. Cannot fault anything. Special thanks to Nicola and the new chef.

We booked North foreland golf club for our daughter Beckie and her fiance Lees wedding.The venue was absolutely superb. The food fantastic, service amazing, Nicola and Margaret couldn't do enough.To the head chef and kitchen staff cannot fault anything. If you are looking for a wedding venue in Thanet look no further.The views are to die for.Five star setting,five star venue,five star food, five star service with attention to detail.A massive thank you Mr and Mrs Crysell

On behalf of me and my husband, we would like to say massive thanks you to Nicola, Paul and every member of staffs on the special day, they was absolutely brilliant especially behind the bar staffs who made everyone enjoyed themselves. Thanks to Nicola and Paul for making sure everything run very smoothly which it did, we didn't have any worry about it as we have our faith and trust in them and definitely would recommend North Foreland Golf Club for function, weddings etc to everyone and will definitely use this place for any party function in the future. I have had many trips to this restaurant, but in my most recent visits the food and servicehad been somewhat less than I had been accustomed to.Because of this I was a little worried that our annual golf match/meal may not be so well received this time.I had hoped that the recent change in caterer would quell my concerns.But there was no need to worry at all.The change in caterer arrangements had done the trick.Everyone enjoyed thier meal, the service was excellent and the meals came out seamlessly.No-one had to wait. Despite the fact there was 26 of us dining.I dealt with the new restaurant manager Nicola, she was very flexible with the menu and pricing.She made it very easy to sort out the ideal menu for our group and she regularly communicated with me via email.Overall an excellent experience. The food was terrible and the staff didn't really care. The course is still really well run, but the new food operators are not very good at all. Real shame.

Attended a 60's night here. Carvery and service was excellent. Ideal place to catch up with friends, have a wedding reception or a party. Enjoy a good coffee, enjoy the views and a game of golf

It's a golf club not a restaurant but this said, the Sunday roast is a generous and tasty affair and a definite bargain with splendid views across the course and sea.
