Family meal cost £60 & can honestly say they were some of the worst fish and chips ever! I live locally but will never go back!

Always go here when in Bridlington and consistently great fish and chips with friendly staff. Look forward to next time.

There’s a reason why there’s a constant queue of people waiting to buy their fish and chips from here and that reason is the quality. Super fresh perfectly battered haddock and the best chips around to go with them. Portions aren’t massive but more than big enough for the price and big enough to fill the hungriest of tummy’s. Tip: be careful of the seagulls that watch and wait for you to walk from the counter to the benches as they love to swoop down and steal your food.

Exactly how fish n chips should be and what you expect ,the smell makes ya mouth water the taste does not disappoint ,great portions ,fresh fish ,lovely light crispy batter ,chips done old style not frozen but rumbled on site and fried in dripping , mushy peas and gravy delicious to all done fresh . Good friendly banter from staff while waiting .

After trying the fish and chips from the bar on Haven Blue Dolphin we were so disappointed and felt we had wasted £10-50. We caught a bus to Bridlington, we walked to the Harbour, and decided to try fish and chips from North Bay fish and chips. They were delicious, light crispy batter , and proper fried chips. The fish was thick, white Haddock , the best I've had in years. And cost less than the campsite. I recommend North Bay fish and chips on Bridlington Harbour.

Having walked past on my way from the car park I decided this is where I would come back for my dinner on the way home. Staff behind counter very casual. Ordered a small fish and chips and had to pay £1.60 extra for some mushy peas. You had to salt and vinegar your own. They were put in the smallest take away container, one wrong move and the chips would have all overflowed… there was no way I was getting my mushy peas on there too. I know portion control but that was ridiculous. Also ridiculous is that there are signs up saying the seating is for patrons only, but this isn’t policed. A couple were sat on the last two tables, no food in front of them, and one sat at each bench meaning I had to walk down the promenade to sit down, risking losing chips. Staff couldn’t have been less bother, the young girl (Leah) and lad were more bothered about taking the mick out of a previous customer who had commented that her fish had a lot of batter. Quality of the food was as poor, didn’t finish my chips as they were dry and I had to wipe grease off my lips!!! Had better fish and chips in Bakewell, nowhere near the sea and half the price! Need to train the staff in customer service!

Our first time eating Haddock and it certainly didn’t disappoint! A beautiful light, crisp batter freshly cooked and lovely chips. If we lived nearby we’d definitely visit more often!

Lived in bridlington 13 years and always come here. Till today. The chips were horrible like sharp ends and the fish was all batter. 16.00 for 2 fish and chips with 1 portion of peas. Really not worth it. I have neverr posted a bad review but I felt I had to with these fish and chips. Shall not be returning.

First time trying this fish and chip shop in brid. The fish and chips were the best ive had in brid for years. Lovely staff and a good price. Location is great too. Will deffinately be my chip shop to aim for again when im next in brid. Thankyou guys

Delicious and consistently top Quality fish and chips. Perfect portion size for a lunch at the seaside overlooking the harbour. Super fresh sweet haddock battered and fried to perfection, crispy tasty chips and lovely mushy peas. Be aware of the opportunistic seagulls we’ve seen them swoop and steal food straight from peoples trays.

Absolutely gorgeous fish and chips the Cod was so thick, fresh and juicy with the crispiest golden batter on the outside. The chips were fantastic and cooked to perfection. Having visited a lot of great award winning fish and chip shops I can tell you this place is right up there with any of them and the people moaning about the portion size on a small tray yes it doesn’t come in the big cardboard closed lid boxes like some others do, it just comes on a traditional polystyrene tray but it’s piled high and more than big enough for anyone.

Never been to a fish and chip shop that you ask for fish and chips and get a tray that would not fill a kid up cost £16.50 today for fish and chip and chip and fish cake thst where like cardboard would not give this place a penny.

I was recommended this Fish and chip and I was certainly not disappointed. The Fish and chips were some of the best that I have had. I will be sending my friends and family there!

The haddock was perfectly cooked, and just the right size for lunch, chips were wonderful. And there’s plenty of benches nearby to enjoy them while they’re hot.

Fantastic fish butty. Perfectly cooked, lovely and succulent and great service. Always my favourite fish and chip kiosk in Bridlington and I’m never disappointed.

been about 3 times had fish and chips very nice cooked lovely But I do like there fish cakes and curry sauce WOW Best I have ever had and I do like to eat out Staff very friendly very clean place wish I could go more keep up the very good work.

£9+ for small fish chips with curry and a bottle of water. It was nice but rather expensive. Will probs try elsewhere in future as not outstanding

Maybe I caught them on a bad day.. fish was dry, batter wasn’t great..chips were flat and dry.. gravy was okay.. my little lad (who is practically a chip addict) ate three or four and then gave the rest to the seagulls... :(

My favourite chippy in the country, everything is always cooked perfectly and the staff are always really friendly, I always pop by when I’m in Bridlington for a fish butty!

Stopped here for some chips after a day on the seafront. Some of the best chips I’ve had, and location is great to sit and look out to sea or over the harbour whilst tucking in. Service was great. Well recommended.

By the side of the harbour with outdoor areas to sit, you can’t get better than this chippy. Great price. £6 for fish and chips. And tasty! Watch out for the seagulls!

I’m not from Bridlington and whenever I come to visit my highlight is always going to this chippy. It’s cooked fresh and is just soo nice! Always big pieces of fish, pure white and crispy! Can’t wait to come back again! X

We love Bridlington and try and find new places to try every time we come. This was our choice of the day, it seemed quite popular and it turned out to be quite good. Good food and goo prices what more could you want?

We come here for fish & chips every time we're in Bridlington, as they are amazing. However, the counter was an absolute disgrace - covered in salt, beans, gravy & needed a good clean. The girls serving were waiting for the chips to cook, so this was pointed out to them, and we got a fair bit of teenage attitude in return & a perfunctory wipe around. It doesn't matter how busy you are, food hygiene comes first, and safe to say, although the food was great, we'll look elsewhere next time.

Sometimes I get on my motorbike and ride from Leeds to Brid just so I can have fish and chips from here. I'll confess I haven't tried many others in Bridlington but why would I when these are so good.

Got fish and chips x4 for myself and family and I must say I have not had fish this bad in a long time, the chips were ok but the fish was over fried and the bottom of the fish was burned into the batter, it tasted as if it had been there for a long long time but it was only midday. I will not be going back here again spoilt my day :( not recommended.

Went to Bridlington for a weekend away and decided to to visit here for some food, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding. Would highly recommend. 10/10

Good food. Prices are similar all along the front. Nice friendly staff. Loads of seating in the area and they have the full range of fried offerings.

Popped there yesterday as fancied some open fish and chips, £5.70 for haddock and chips, huge portion especially with peas on top, very tasty batter and the chips were really nice, however:

Haddock and chips and the lady was kind enough to share the peas..I normally only eat Cod but have been before and the Haddock is lovely chunky white fish..But we loved the Salt Spice not sure of all the ingredients but was so nice..

Visité North Bay de pesca con un amigo en julio de 2017. Las patatas fritas eran bastante bonito pero el abadejo era bastante seco y recocido, simplemente no es tan genial que era decepcionante. Era barato, así que supongo que pagas lo que obtienes. El servicio era eficiente y amable.

Hoy fui con un grupo bastante grande de la familia. Nada era demasiado problema. Sin pescado pasta sin problemas. Una bandeja extra con un algunas cosas en nuestro littlest miembro - no hay problema. Una foto de familia - no hay problema.

Absolutamente chocante. 18.30 en el medio de las vacaciones escolares de verano y la temporada alta y Bridlington parecía cerradas! Fuimos para pescado y patatas fritas y este resultó ser prácticamente la única tienda de chips abierto. Había dos familias juntos, nosotros y nuestros amigos, tanto con los niños. Que ellos ordenados; y nos preguntaron al mismo tiempo lo que queríamos hacer que el pescado podría ser poner en la freidora que les dijeron y dijeron bien. Me recogieron sus pedido y pedimos nuestros formalmente dispuestos a pagar y luego me dijeron que no tenían fichas suficiente para hacerlo y se negó a poner más fichas en cocinar porque querían calló, así que terminamos con uno de los adultos sin tener que ir por ese punto de té ya era demasiado tarde.

Extremely rude blond haired girl staff, the fish fryer sounded like he condoned her behaviour.. If you want good customer service DO NOT eat from here!!

These were superb, really thick chunks of lovely white haddock, very nice chips, will definitely be calling again, but please watch out for the seagulls, or your dinner will be gone, they are a nightmare !!!

We have family who live close to bridlington and have spent time in the area for years. I always insist we go to this particular fish and chip bar anytime we are in the area, genuinely these have the best fish and chips for miles around, don't be fooled by the simple exterior and over the small counter ordering, the fish obviously is super fresh and cooked to perfection but the chips are perfect too. If your taste buds need a further treat them sample the curry sauce its tangy and fruity and makes a chip butty something awesome. On top of that the staff are courteous and friendly, on our most recent visit a family member was unlucky enough to trip and fall after picking up her order, as I went back to place the order again I was told no charge - now that's customer care. Seriously if you want to taste the British seaside you will not get a better experience than fish & chips from North Bay fisheries. Outstanding.

Although we enjoy the fish and chips as we give credit where it is due I have witnessed the woman who serves be really rude to two elderly ladies and also to myself and my daughter on two seperate occasions! She is a nasty piece of work and it really is true that she is all tut tut and shaking her head infact she is so shabby in her service it spoils the experience. We decided to try the other bay fisheries and to our suprise found it much friendlier, cleaner and lovely food priced fairly but the service with a smile makes it a far better experience. If i see her serving again we will just not buy our food there as i cant believe how she was rude to elderly ladies! The food is expensive for a pensioner they deserve better treatment as does anyone spending money there!

I visited Bridlington with my parents on a hot Sunday and they always rave about this fish and chip takeaway - it's one of the best apparently.Naturally we tried it whilst in the area and I have to start off my saying how despicable the woman serving was. After my dad ordered three fish and chips, two with scraps and one with curry sauce, he politely asked for two polystyrene trays for my disabled sister who wouldn't eat enough to afford her a whole portion.The disgusting woman behind the counter tutted and practically threw the tray at my father. My dad doesn't say boo to a goose, but offered to pay for the trays if it were a problem - she ignored him and started serving another customer.I felt the need to step in, berating her for the shocking customer service she had provided. Baring in mind, fish and chips is not a cheap meal by any stretch, you'd think a little more assistance would be the first thing on her mind.After confronting her, she simply bared her teeth and let out a growl - I kid you not. To make matters worse, my dad was so flustered he forget to pick up some forks. He returned to the counter and spoke to the polite manager about the whole situation.My dad's words: "Every time we come to Brid, we always visit your fish and chip shop; her disgraceful attitude has made sure we won't be back."The fish and chips were fine, but after the experience I certainly won't be back, and I've told my parents they are to go to one of the many other fisheries on that stretch from now on.

When ever we are at Bridlington . I always make a point of calling at this chippy .. the fish are just the best .. only problem i had this year was i got dive bombed by a seagull and lost half a fish .. lol ☺

Lovely propper seaside chips. Good portion size very enjoyable. Came highly recomended by the pirate ship guy.

A day trip to Bridlington is always complimented by Fish and chips on the seafront, we normally go to the same one everytime and really enjoy them, this time we made the mistake and chose a different one, and wish we didn't it was not cheap either fish and chips three came to £18.75.The chips were white still and looked under cooked, the fish was thin and very scrappy, I questioned the lady about the chips telling her they looked very white, she said "thats how we cook them here" I gave them a squeeze and they were quite hard to touch, again I told her even the texture wasn't right, she shrugged her shoulders and turned away. Despite salt and vinegar the fish remained bland and while it was long it had no fish at all in either end. The staff were too busy to care as they were discussing mobile phones. Not one that we will be visiting again anytime soon.

The chips was cold and very expensive don't eat there unless you want to buy for the seagulls.There are taking advantage because there on the harbour front.

We called in today for fish and chips.The fish are skinned and boned and excellent quality and the batter is fab.They are good value for money and we have been coming here for years abd have never been disappointed.

Battered fish was mainly batter, very poor quality fish. Chips ok but had better. Disappointing as previously enjoyed fish and chips from here.

Fast and friendly service with plenty of options. Fish was skinless and boned. A light batter. Very nice piece of Haddock. Never asked if they did Cod. Only issue was they seem to close early so not to be disappointed try and get there before 16.30.
