One of THE places to go for good quality, affordable ramen in NCL. Delicious food, relaxed atmosphere, and always a warm and prompt service! The noodles are bouncy and chewy, soup is so flavourful and the sides are worth the money too, especially the yakitori. 100% recommend and well worth visiting

Large party of 8, with adults and children all brilliantly catered for. Food was Fab and service very warm and welcoming.

Came across this place by the off chance and we're glad we did. Front of house was welcoming and showed us to our table, it's a nice little restaurant, whilst looking at the menu they came over with a specials board, we chose from the board starter and main. Both were full of flavour with the meat very tender. Now down to the big question would I go back? It's a big YES

Came here on Sunday for dinner with my friend and it’s always great going here, the food is quality! Jamelle was a great host, really attentive and he was a really genuine guy and great to chat to - definitely going to be coming back in the future!

Comfortable place for dining. Clean and tidy. The staff girl working there is very polite and considerate. I’ve got a signature noodle and a glass of tap water. £12.xx reasonable prices isn’t it? Good to enjoy a bunch with friends here.

Well worth a visit. While the atmosphere can be a little cold, the food and staff are great. Amazing lunchtime options for a very reasonable price.

The place is tiny but had a lovely cosy feel, the staff are friendly and helpful and the quality of the food is excellent. We had the chicken katsu and prawn katsu curry. They are well priced, curry is more sweet than spicy so if that's your preference this is a good spot for that.

Overall very disappointing. The staff were bone idle, the food was subpar, and they add hidden fees to the bill. Avoid this place.

The two large slices of pork was lovely. The signature tonkotsu broth was not as thick as I'd like. Wakame salad and takoyaki is nice.

i had veg gyoza (very nice), chicken yakitori (delicious! The sauce it was marinated in was amazing!) and tempura (which was very crisp and delicious!). loved the sauce that came with all dishes and would 100% be coming back here and sitting in! Would recommend!

The inside of the store is clean and the service is good, but the food isn't very tasty. I ate teriyaki chicken, ramen, and tempura, and they were all disappointing. The teriyaki chicken had a bad sauce, the tempura had strange ingredients and a bad sauce, and the ramen soup had a bad taste and the noodles tasted like flour.

This restaurant is better than I thought. The prices are affordable and the service is good. The sushi is quite delicious (although the stuffing is a bit creative/unconventional, never had chicken sushi rolls until now), and the ramen is very authentic (although the pork is way too big but the soup, the noodles, the egg, etc are tasty), and the church skewers are amazingly delicious! Best Japanese chicken skewers I ever had in Newcastle so far. I also really like the style of this place. The interior designs are quite nice. I will come back here in the future. I would love to try the mango shrimp sushi which seems amazing next time and I will probably come back to spot more photos in the future.

AVOID! 😡.. Nearly £9 for 4 takoyaki (not cheap), yet 2 of the 4 takoyaki is empty flour with no octopus filliin it. Told the waiteress that the takoyaki is missing the octopus filling. Waitress pretends to be rushing to get the bill and left with no replacement or even apologies... 😡 Otherwisd noodle is so so only... this is an upsetting evening for me and missus

The presentation was great as well as the atmosphere, and the staff were helpful. The food was very well presented. We got the signature pork and seafood ramen and they both tasted like they'd been made from the same broth and neither were spicy despite us ordering so. It was fairly bland in that regards but wasn't not enjoyable so.

Food was okay, service was great! Ordered tonkotsu ramen, pork was tasty but the soup base was bland. I was going to order with chilli oil, but I was expecting this to be on the table. From other Japanese restaurant experiences, usually chilli oil, garlic, ginger or wasabi is available on the table to add to dishes, but only Soy sauce was available. So maybe this dish is more flavourful with the chilli oil? Takoyaki was nice! Tons of sauce and benito flakes on top. £3 corkage charge if you bring your own bottle of wine. £1.50 if you bring beer/cider. Polite service start to finish.

Great dinner, we thoroughly enjoyed our food. We had to wait 15minutes to go to our booked table, but the staff was very gentle to take our orders so they came straight away when we were able to sat. We had octopus balls,tempura and ramen soups. All delicious 😋

Good scran and good customer service. Been here a couple times and they haven’t disappointed. Chicken katsu ramen was flavoursome and the sushi was one of the best sushi I had in a while! The staff are all smiles every time i walk in. Highly recommend :)

We've been a few times as a family, and I cannot fault it - amazing service, wonderful ramen - full of flavour and so filling. It's a delight having a healthy, delicious and welcoming place so close to home.

Stopped in for a quick solo meal on a Friday evening. They were happy to serve me and their simple but excellent menu gives you enough choice but reassurance that all the food is as fresh as can be. Cooked to order and served quickly, the most delicious Ramen (Shio in Miso) I have ever had. Very friendly staff, fantastic prices and a good location. Look no further for a great place to eat.

Looked for a tasty and healthy restaurant during our stay In Newcastle. The restaurant is approx 3.5km from the centre and we walked which took about 45mins. We’d built up an appetite for their tempura - which was amazing. I ordered the salmon teriyaki- this comes with freshly prepared and steamed veggies cooked perfectly with a slight crunch. The salmon and the rice, again cooked perfectly. The restaurant is BYOB with a £3 corkage on wine. There is a Tesco express opposite or a Little Waitrose around the corner which had a great selection of beers, wine or sparkling ready chilled. Overall, my wife and I had amazing food here. The service was really friendly and quick. Our bill - including the wine we bought from Waitrose - was £60 plus tip. I’d thoroughly recommend a visit to Nori Ramen House.

It's okay, nothing spectacular. I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen (which seemed to be what they're most proud of - it has a massive star next to it on the menu). The ramen itself was generally flavourless without the chilli oil (so make sure you ask for the chilli oil!), and the strips of pork belly were limp, squishy, and flavourless strips. And there was some scum from the broth (though not enough to affect things too much), it was bit iffy though. The service was really good, and the vibe of the interior was very nice and generally pleasant. Shame the food wasn't that great. I wouldn't really recommend it, unfortunately

Sorry folks but this is nothing like authentic ramen. The broth is watery and lacking in any depth, noodles are over cooked and the accompanying vegetables are poorly executed. Another mediocre bandwagon enterprise.

Finally a good ramen in Newcastle. Excellent soup, proper ingredients and delicious noodles. Remind me the taste of real Japanese flavor.

Amazing staff and service! The takoyaki, tempura and chicken skewers was definitely flavoursome and their ramen is definitely the best comfort food you can have. Would definitely go back again and again.

This restaurant situated in jesmond is very familiar. We were lucky as it was a nice table for us. The menu is very simple and easy to read so it didn't take long to read and decided want we fancy. The service was very good, our waitress did a very good job smiling and serving us nicely. The food was yummy and also the prices, for three main courses and tap water we payed £33 Next time we visit this area I am sure we can stop here again.

Very nice little restaurant would fully recommend. We had tonkatsu ramen and vegetable gyoza. Both delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I really liked the interior decor, it gives a warm and cozy ambience. The signature ramen was quite good as the pork is super tender though the broth was not as rich as expected. Nevertheless a great budget meal overall, will come back again!

Great service & atmosphere. Side dishes were delicious; agadashi tofu, tempura prawns & wakame salad. The seafood ramen broth was delicious but I found the noodles were a bit stuck together & the seafood was overcooked. My partner had the pork ramen & said her noodles were perfect & the whole dish was delicious. We would come back here again.

Absolutely amazing! We had dinner here and are so glad to have a great ramen house in Newcastle now! Starters were freshly made and the sushi was delicious! We then had the tonkotsu ramen which was outstanding! Best thing I’ve had to eat in Newcastle for ages! 100% coming back!

This is my second visit to the Ramen house. It's not cheap but the service is great, the food delicious. My Salmon Teriyaki was great and was served with loads a crisp beautifully cooked veg and plenty of rice. Dumplings good value too.

I’ve been waiting to go to Nori Ramen House since it opened and finally got to experience it last night. Staff were all super friendly and food was amazing!! I had the signature Tonkotsu ramen and it was so delicious. I 100% will be returning for more!

Delicious lunch at Nori Ramen House today in Jesmond. Vegetable gyoza and chicken thigh teriyaki with rice and veggies for me and a Kanji Sushi Roll for my wife who was less hungry. Nice chilled atmosphere and good attentive service from our waitress who was lovely and very polite. Would highly recommend a visit - we will be back!

The ramen was so tasty and the green tea was one of the best we've ever had. The decor really took us back to our time in Japan. The staff were very friendly too.

Newly opened ramen restaurant 3 weeks ago. Ramen soup is home made and well cooked. Char siu pork is also home made and very nice. One disappointment was that the noodle was over cooked losing texture. The owner is acknowledged about noodle issue. Thus I expect it would be better. Surely, one of the best ramen restaurants in Newcastle from the standpoint of Japanese. A newly opened ramen shop in Jesmond. The homemade soup has a clean pork bone flavor with no odor. The char siew is also homemade and the quantity is sufficient. The only disappointing thing was that the noodles were overcooked and had lost their firmness. Rated 4 points, including the expectation that it will improve in the future.

Didn’t have a great experience here, I was expecting great ramen as there seemed to be a lot of anticipation but was quite disappointed with what I was served. The noodles were over cooked and mush, the soy sauce egg was clearly not marinated for long and only had a tiny bit of soy sauce flavour, the broth was quite plain as well, possibly watered down a bit. The staff were nice enough hence why this gets a 2 star instead of 1

Positives: the service here is good and the decor is nice and bright. Negatives: the tonkotsu ramen I had was quite bland. It didn’t have the kind of depth of flavour you would expect from a tonkotsu ramen. The noodles were also over cooked. The egg was hard boiled and not soft. I tried my husband’s vegan ramen as well and it was the same. No real depth of flavour but there was spice to it. The noodles in that bowl were also over cooked. My first impression of Nori wasn’t the best but maybe their rice bowls or starters are better than their ramen??

Positives: Duck gyoza and chicken karrage for starts were excellent. Service was attentive and friendly. Negatives: Ramen was disappointing, tonkotsu lacked depth of flavour/ seasoning and the “soft boiled egg” was hard boiled (grey round the yolk.) They’d also sold out of a number or starters by the time we arrived just after 7pm. Maybe they’re just teething issues but was hoping for better.
