First time we visited Norfolk arms for food. And we wasn’t disappointed. Food was fresh and hot. The portions were decent too. Staff were friendly and the place was clean.

Went in for the first time today for breakfast with the husband...lovely atmosphere lovely staff and the food was amazing...Will definitely be going out of my way to visit again

Pretty basic pub with rubbish service and with very poorly trained staff.Also a complete lack of any management in attendance. Dreadful place that I have no intention of revisiting which is sad really as I enjoyed the beers on sale.

Went today for lunch, arrived just after 12, not to busy. Food ordered and we waited , quite a while, like nearly an hour for starters. The had one person waiting table, it's a big place and they were trying their best. Starters cleared , waited , waited , to find out you are supposed to go to the bar and tell staff you've finished, we didn't know. Mains arrived , could do better, caesar salad, nearly pan fried halloumi, lettuce not fresh, dressing warm, onion ring side order at 3.75, 5 rings, salad with halloumi 13.75+3.75, to high. Clearly a staffing issue and I know that adverts have been around for a while. There should be a supervisor and or manager and not one person trying to keep order. Be a while before I go back , shame really. Timed 12.05-14.45 ( approx)

A great pub. All the food was amazing. Highly recommend the Sunday Lunch. Very reasonably priced. A perfect place to meet up with friends

A nice pub, customers were very friendly and nice, some younger customers were pretty rude to others pushing in line when there was a queue for the bar, other than that it was a nice clean and friendly atmosphere.

Only visited the area twice and this pub both times. The cask ale was vinegar both times and had to be taken off. On this occasion, we stayed over. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean and we slept well. However, my main reason for the low rating was the rudeness of the bar woman. After a family crisis i returned to the pub at 9.30 pm and sat quietly looking at a book. She shouted from behind the bar "Do you want a drink?" So, I ordered one. To then be told it was last orders. At 9.45pm! Feeling very unwelcome, i went quietly to bed!

Stayed for one night and the room was lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had an evening meal and breakfast in the pub and we really enjoyed the food. Good quality. Overall it was excellent value for money and we will go there again.

Ok apart from price of cider £5.15 cheaper to get a case from tesco

Four real ale handpulls available, only one working! Pretty poor. The price of food was ridiculous. We went to another pub with more variety, and better prices !

The Pizzas are the stars of the show here but I wanted a curry on this occasion. The curry was nothing special but I wasn’t expecting fireworks so it was fine. Pizza again next time.

The food here is pretty good. Great location in the town center and nicely decorated. The food selection is good with choices from pub classics such as fish and chips and cheese and onion pie to small plates. Kids meals are good value. The Ice cream selection and pizzas are probably the best bit about the place. Table service is poor with no effort to clear tables once our meals are finished.

Great pub right outside the station, perfect for a post-walk pint. Slightly oddly they weren't serving food when we got there at around 4 otherwise would have been a 5. They serve a variety of pints from what I presume is their own brewery which were nice and less than a fiver if I remember correctly.

Waiting for our food for over 40 minutes. My sister had a caesar salad lettuce few croutons and a few slices of rock hard cheese and dressing £10.55. The dearest little gem lettuce have every seen. Not recommended

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely stay. The staff are very welcoming and friendly - room was clean and accommodated 3 of us comfortably. Food in the pub was great and we stayed for a fun Quiz night! Very close to the train station.

Went for dinner on Saturday evening with friends. Food was nice and staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice pint, a shame that the only outside area was on a busy road but there was a good atmosphere still and the traffic wasn’t too bad. Update: I’m reliably informed they have a lovely garden to the rear, I clearly need to do my research ha ha. Anyway, great pub. Will visit again and check out the beer garden.

Great place to stay.frendly staff from Carol meeting us and showing us to our room cleaning staff, taking time to tell us what was around the area. To the bar staff and waitress all really friendly and professional. We were in room 2.which was on the main road, but the traffic didn't bother us.room clean .tea and coffee ironing, board and hairdryer. Shower and shampoo.bath and shower over bath.plenty of hot water .newly decorated room and new bed.great base to explore the area. Will definitely go back .

Lovely pub and hotel in the beautiful Peak District and the town of Glossop...friendly staff and very comfortable. Happy to recommend.

Both myself, family and friends have always loved the Norfolk. The last few times we have been in on a Saturday night there have been DJs playing mostly house music. I understand that the pub needs to cater to all, but its hard to enjoy the atmosphere and music when its just this kind of sound, which appeals mostly to the younger clientele. Could you please consider going back to a good mix of music so that everyone can have a good bop. It has always attracted a great crowd on the dance floor and if it's not broke, why change it ?

Husband, Daughter and I stayed one night. Room was lovely, very comfortable for all of us. It was freshly decorated and very clean. We eat and had drinks in the bar, which we really enjoyed. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

We both had cheese potatoe pie. Dissapointed as couldn't taste cheese far too much potatoe in it. Some chips were frozen.

Came here for a bite to eat, ended up staying longer than planned. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxing, staff are lovely and helpful and the food is great. I had a pepperoni pizza which are made fresh and taste incredible. Would recommend to anyone passing through or in the town. A very worthwhile stop by!

Cozy bar/ restaurant close to the Glossop station. There are many TV screens. So an excellent place for watching games together. It's also pretty big that you can always find a seat. We only had beers here after a day-long hike. The IPA on tap was bootleg. It has a strange after taste that I didn't like. The strout on tap was trailblazer. I quite like it. They don't have seating at the bar.

Met family for Sunday lunch. 6 of us plus 3 dogs. Staff were super friendly and obliging and our meals were lovely and well priced. Recommend the Trailblazer steak, Wexford chicken and fish & chips. Good options for vegetarians too. Our second visit and not our last. Well placed in the middle of town. Had no problems parking. Thank you!

Amazing food, plenty of choice and always good quality. Staff are so friendly and always on hand to help. Great atmosphere and clean. Would highly recommend.

Popped in after a walk in Manor Park for boxing day. Great that it is dog friendly and a few car parking spaces out front was ideal. Food was lovely, although maybe due to staff shortages we had to keep asking for missing items, but staff very apologetic and quick to rectify. Would definitely visit again when in the area

Saturdat 30th December 2023 Today we had a drink in this pleasent busy eatery This pub had 4 hand pumped ales on, and the polite staff explained only the holts bitter was still on The pub was a children friendly hotel with accommodation and a lovely clean interior to the pub The reason only 4 stars was simply 4 handpumped real ale on offer, but only Holts bemitter offered to be drunk today😩

Went Xmas day told to be there at 1 for dinner starter took over an hour to come then waited over another hour for dinner when it came was Luke warm 1 was cold and had to be sent back everything on the plate tasted the same I had loads of sprout my auntie's had none.The Yorkshire puddings were missing even tho it showing on the menu nobody in a party of 9 had even eaten it there meal complaining was offered a drink which we didn't take it was the worst Xmas dinner we had ever had so had to start cooking when returning home because everybody was still hungry so Approximately £540 down the pan

Had Xmas day lunch today. Super food, Turkey was perfect. Service was great, and the room was set out and decorated beautifully.

Stopped off on our journey from Lincolnshire. Food was good and plentiful, we tried a selection of the small dishes. Service was good and polite. Would use again.

Great pub grub at reasonable prices. Handy for getting dry and fed after a wet dog walk in Glossop. Only slight criticism would be the lack of choice on draft, if you’re not a big fan of Holt beers.

Great place, visiting Glossop and decided to call in for breakfast, the price was excellent and great portion size, choise of smaller portion if required, very friendly and welcoming, menu choise excellent. Looking at going back and will definitely go and have a meal again or even stay over as they have rooms available,

This is such a fantastic pub and hotel! I’m on cycle tour and needed a place to stay last minute. I called to make sure they had a place I could store my bike and they said they would accommodate me. I arrived to the warmest greeting by such friendly staff. The room is beautiful, comfortable, and quiet (with the most amazing shower), the food and drink selection is excellent, and it was quiz night. Was a ton of fun to play. I would definitely stay here again were I to come through Glossop.

We only had time for a drink, but we will definitely be calling in again ! A very calming experience awaits you !

We had a one night stay in the hotel whilst attending a family event. The room was lovely and looked newly refurbished. The staff in the hotel bar were so helpful and went the extra mile to find us a parking space. Don’t know the two ladies names, which is a shame as I would have given them a mention. The hotel is very central in Glossop and there were taxis around the corner which we used to get to our evening event. We would definitely return here.

Visited The Norfolk for food. The staff are service we're very good but the food was very average. Fries looked undercooked, baguette very chewy. A little disappointed in the food.

This is a comfortable pub with friendly staff - that's you Lucy!! There's good food on offer at very reasonable prices, especially the breakfast deal that includes a hot drink - you can enjoy unlimited hot drink top-ups for a small supplement too.

Situated in the heart of Glossop this is one of our favourite places to eat. The menu is varied with good pub food and options for children. They do themed days and today was Fish Friday so naturally we had fish and chips, which was excellent. They open in the morning for breakfast and there is also an ice cream bar with a large selection of flavours. The staff are friendly and helpful and dogs are welcome. Highly recommended.

We had the all day breakfast and it was great .Plates and food was hot and it came within a couple of minutes. Ruby was our waitress and she was lovely, very polite and never stopped working, nothing was too much trouble .A lovely pub with brilliant staff

Nice pint of IPA and a chilled atmosphere in the beer garden. Food is really nice, well worth a visit and prices are reasonable. Also shows football and sports on TV's around the pub with loads of tables available.

I want to leave a review to say thank you to the owners and staff here. My friends and I rode the Pennine Bridleway and stopped here on the first night. We arrived absoloutely soaked through, muddy and freezing cold, I squelched my way to the bar to check in and was met very cordially despite being an absoloute state. We were invited to wait for our baggage to arrive in the bar after stowing the bikes and pretty soon we'd created an actual puddle around us. The staff just told us not to worry and they'd mop up after us. This was just one of many many examples of the brilliant attitude of the staff and owners towards us during our stay. Also the beer was great, the rooms were lovely, location perfect and though we didn't eat there I'm just going to assume that the food would have been excellent! So again thank you, you didn't have to be so kind but you were and it made our trip so much the better.

Lovely pub in the town centre. Staff really genuine & helpful. Rooms modern & nicely decorated, spacious and well equipped (good shower, sofa, bed). We stayed over whilst riding the Trans Pennine Trail and had 5 bikes. Nowhere specific for bikes and no specific charging point for electric bikes, though there was a large beer/bottle store we used for 1 bike. (I only mention this not as a complaint but a suggestion to make it more bike friendly). Overall a superb place to stay and a good pub atmosphere with good food.

Great beers. Fun staff. Brill outdoor area and always good folk (And dogs) there.

The food is atrocious, this used to be a top venue for good atmosphere lovely food, But now, all I can say is bad !!! Carry on this way and you will be finished Get yourself a CHEF for starters.

We had breakfast there. The landlady and staff were really friendly, food was delicious and reasonably priced. The pub is also incredibly clean

Went in on the off chance of a table for Mother’s Day as we were in the area. Was sat quickly and made our food order around 1.15pm asking for our childs meal (he’s 2 years old) to come with our starters as he was hungry. Starters came - no childs meal. Asked numerous members of staff and kept being told “it’s on it’s way” By 3pm our mains (and the children’s meal) still hadn’t arrived, I was more bothered about my little boys food than my own as at this point we had a very tired and grouchy toddler. The food eventually came 10 mins later with a very apologetic lady however then we felt we had to rush as they needed the table back at 4pm. Food was actually really nice once it came, but the service was so so slow. Will visit again but not on a weekend or special day.

I've been to The Norfolk a few times and the staff are fab and customer service is 100%, but I must say the food is slipping down. I love a good Sunday dinner and ive always had a good one here but last 2 times we have been, unfortunately the Sunday lunch has been bad. Beef is well over cooked. Roast potatoes are hard inside. Vegetables was red cabbage & carrots. They looked like they had been under a warmer all day. The cauliflower cheese was rock hard too. What a waste of £75. Who ever is cooking the food needs a good talking to or clearly needs help in the kitchen. Either way Management , its down to you. The place is always mega busy but come on waiting 1hr 30 minutes for a starter is not good. I will give it 1 more go but have this ill go elsewhere.

Called in for something to eat. Had to be Sunday lunch. Ordered extra cauliflower cheese and pigs in blanket. Absolutely delicious 😋. Actually too much to finish off. Nice pint of lager too, think I had the gold. Would recommend and go for a revisit.

This is a very well located pub/hotel for visiting Glossop main street and the surrounding countryside. The room was a good size, recently decorated, with a good bathroom. We didn't eat there, but the menu looked good. Breakfast was also available from 9.00am. The room and the food were very reasonably priced. Very nice helpful staff which made for an enjoyable stay.

Used to love this pub but severe staffing issues has resulted in a slimmed down menu and very poor service at times. The staff are very pleasant but the waits for food has resulted in our once frequent visits being cut back.

Popped in here for lunch and it wasn't great. They didn't have any pizza's and we then sat there an hour waiting for our food to come out. The Steak pie was actually really nice but some of the chips weren't cooked. The beers here are quite good so would pop in for a drink but not for the food. The staff were nice though and really friendly.

Lovely big very traditional pub , pies and gravy, and a great range of English beers. The rooms are warm and cozy and the welcome is as warm. Parking was easy but there are other options close by. This is not the Hilton but you will want for nothing

Went for sunday dinner, asked a waitress do you serve sunday dinner her answer was i will find out. Went to bar after 5 minutes got drinks and when she came back she didn't have a answer and said she was busy. Dinner came veggies overcooked and beef burnt and dry only gravy was in the Yorkshire pudding. We visit quite often and was the 1st time in here not sure it will hapen again not a good experience.

Initially good table service for drinks but then waited an hour for two main courses despite constantly being told it's in the oven now it's being plated up ect. I wouldn't have minded if at the time of booking there had been any indication of the waiting time for food.

Came before Christmas drinks fine couldn't do food grr. We come on holiday for few days so returned today. Omg what's happened fella next to us he was a local dsaid food service dreadful. We came for lunch just received at3.40

Went boxing day food was terrible the wait was to long Childs food came out a good 10 min after adults I asked to talk to the landlady was told she was to busy not a good customer service

Food ok for a pub. Not enough staff when large parties are booked in. Long waits for food even when pre ordered .Very noisy and cramped when busy. Don't recommend to go in lead up to Christmas.

A huge thank you to ALL the staff for our AMAZING Christmas Dinner! Food plentiful and piping hot! No rush between courses and No rush for us to leave! Will definitely be booking for next year! Merry Christmas xx
