Superb food here, spoilt for choice! Great selection of beers and a really good vibe. Will be back soon.

Reasonable food, the service however was somewhat chaotic and we waited 30 minutes for our food to arrive. My coffee unfortunately never did. Quite poor.

Lovely food and a good beer selection, as well as a good atmosphere every time we’ve been here.

Table booked at 1pm. When we arrived place was uncomfortably cold and our table was cramped it was almost in the empty fireplace. There was no phone signal and the Wi-Fi was not working. Ordered drinks ok when we arrived but twenty minutes later our food order had not been taken with the staff seemingly ignoring our glances. Other tables that arrived later than us had their orders taken. Had to ask at the bar and then our order was taken promptly . Thirty minutes later no sign of our food being served, in fact very few tables in the pub seemed to be eating. Tried to find a signal to find somewhere else but no. We eventually cancelled our order and left.

The best Steak frites ever!!! Just amazing 5* .. I don’t think I’ve had a bad meal yet .. Great location as well set the beautiful village of Marple Bridge.. yummy

Lovely little dog friendly pub with very nice food. Tad pricey if I'm honest but it's Marple bridge, what can you do. Ideal for walkers and dog walkers.

Had a great Sunday roast here - would probably go down a treat after a long walk in the region. Plenty of great veg and the lamb was delicious. The staff looked after us well, too.

Great place, lovely location and really friendly staff. We booked a table last minute and it was ready and waiting for us. The Sunday lunch was honestly the BEST we have had in a long while. Really enjoyed it and highly recommend, we will definitely be coming back. Dog friendly too.

The food is really expensive for what you get, the roast dinner ranges from £16 to £21 but the pub has a calm atmosphere which is what you're really paying for I guess.

There is nothing more to say than excellent!

A very impressive beer selection. A selection of cask ales, a few keg ales and a superb selection of European lagers including Pilsner Urquell and Budvar! I can’t wait to come back and try them all!

We came here for a drink after a walk. We had a great time here as we always do.

Turned up yesterday afternoon with a dirty Boarder collie was made to feel welcome by two lovely bar staff.Someone who loves a craft beer or real ale there was such amazing choice shame i was driving.Great choice of food for my family wife and two teenager daughters and when the food arrived was delicious.The ham egg and chips my standard choice was the best i have had in many a year.Lovely atmosphere about the place will definitely be back when in the area but wont be driving.

Mid week food. Friendly helpful staff. Nice atmosphere. Live band just setting up! Draft beer - birra murano - very nice. Food - slow roasted shoulder of lamb and mash with mustard braised leeks - fantastic! Husband had the ribs - big portion, cut mes with slaw, fries and corn, all delicious and a finger bowl.

We came to the pub after a lovely walk on a very cold day. The fire was on and gave the pub a real cosy feeling. Staff friendly and the food and beer were excellent.

Food is not nice whatsoever, had a hair in it. Bread was stale and hard, prices are high and quality is questionable. Staffs not bothered

The food was so good, and looked amazing on the plate. We had Ben dj later in the evening and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend the pub for a relaxed and beautiful reception.

Had a pre dinner beer in here last night. The pub is old and quaint with a good selection of beers. We sat outside in the beer garden which unfortunately is located right next to the busy road so it can be very noisy and we did get hassled a bit by people asking for cigarettes too, even though we don't smoke.

My family had afternoon tea here a few weeks ago. I put a review on here which was quite harsh. To be honest the sandwiches and savouries were not to my taste but the cakes and scones were lovely. Service was very slow but everyone has bad days.

This is the third time I’ve eaten at the Norfolk, each time has been amazing. The quality of food and the service is outstanding. Such a lovely atmosphere, a lovely relaxed environment where you can enjoy an excellent meal, smaller plates available too. The food is not run of the mill, real thought has gone into the menu, I had the prawn salad as a main and it was incredible. Can’t wait to visit again.

Our son and his wife held their reception at the Norfolk Arms. They couldn’t have picked a better place. The room upstairs was beautifully decorated and looked gorgeous. The food was amazing - everyone loved it and some even said it was the best wedding reception meal they had experienced. The staff were so helpful and on hand and the atmosphere was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this venue - it was amazing.

A lovely little place, with interesting decor and a good vibe. Unfortunately, service was below par. We ordered drinks and 3 starters to share - the drinks and 2 of the starters arrived, but it was over 45 mins before the 3rd starter was brought out. We tried to ask staff a couple of times but eye contact and attempts of saying "excuse me" to staff were ignored. When the plate arrived, the food was cold, and there was no apology. May have just been a one-off, but it was very off-putting.

A very hyped restaurant in the Marple neighborhood. The food taste and the overall ambiance is perfect for a weekend lunch.

Good pub. Friendly atmosphere and pleasant surroundings. Good beers available and pleased to see a Mild on. We had a meal and the pie was excellent. A bit pricey at over £16 for what is basically pie, chips and peas but very enjoyable.

Not my cup of tea More a restaurant than bar

Booked for Easter Sunday lunch & very disappointed with the whole experience. Staff were rude and extremely inattentive. After ordering we were asked if we were nearly done as they needed the table, where she walked off once we said we’d just ordered. Food was nice but all 4 roasts were missing roast potatoes. Waited 20 minutes at the bar to pay despite being acknowledged by 5 staff chatting behind the bar about a night out. Was only because another customer shouted for me to be seen they finally broke their discussion!

Lovely pub. Had a really nice prawn salad. Only downside it was chilly in the pub.

Very atmospheric pub with lovely "beer garden" in the front, friendly staff and plenty dogs. The beers on tap are fresh and the food we had on several occasions is tasty and generously portioned. Oh, and it has an open fireplace inside for the cold season.

The food and atmosphere are great, the service is a mixed bag though, some of the staff are super friendly and others less so. I've been overcharged both times I've visited (which was quickly resolved when i raised it), so worth checking your bill before you pay.

Friendly staff, not the speediest of service however well worth the wait. Pies delicious, wonderful chips, super tasty gravy, great sandwiches. Very well kept real ale. Nice atmosphere, dogs welcome. Love the taps in the toilets.

Good pub. Always a good array of ale choices which change regularly as well as an extensive range of keg beer and lager. The food is simple, but very good, and the chef makes some great specials with prices around the average for most pubs in the district. However, if you are seeking a "gastropub" then this is probably not your best bet. Pub is both dog and child friendly, and has a large outdoor area, which, despite being only 30 feet from a main road, feels oddly secluded. Although music is played constantly on the pub, it has never been loud enough on any of my visits to be a problem.

We waited for a bit to be served and the staff was overwhelmed. We sat upstairs and there was only a waiter from time to time. The food was nothing special either. I was expecting a little bit more considering the 4.6 stars. I'm another hand, the place itself is gorgeous, very quirky and children friendly.

Visited her for work Christmas meal and it was fantastic. The food was gorgeous, fresh, hot and well presented. All of us enjoyed and the staff were spot on. I’ll definitely visit this place again.

We came in today as a table of 5 for a Sunday lunch. We were highly impressed with the quality of the food. In particular, the roast beef dinner was perfect. Every item on the plate was delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the addition of the leeks and red cabbage! The service was brilliant too. We will be back!

Me and my son called in with our dog.We had a lovely warm welcome and were offered a table right next to a cozy fire.Whilst not on the menu we asked for a bacon and egg butty which they were more than happy to do for us..We had initiailly called in at a place up the road that had ran out of bread!However, i'm so pleased we came here.The food was lovely and the staff were all really friendly.We would definitely go back.Thank you so much.Just what we needed before our walk.

We held an event in the upstairs function room. It's a delightful space with a lovely atmosphere. The downstairs pub was extremely busy but the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. From the warm welcome we received on arrival to the offer of taking any remaining buffet items home, the team were incredible. A special shout out to Hannah who looked after us during the afternoon and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend for any small or medium sized event. Thank you for a fantastic day.

I arranged a surprise birthday get together for my husband’s birthday on 23rd October. Lauren was fantastic in helping me organise this & sectioned off the room behind the bar for family & friends. I ordered sandwiches for everyone who attended. They were delicious & everyone enjoyed them. All our family & friends agreed that the Norfolk Arms is a great pub, with great staff & a great atmosphere. Thanks for making the surprise party really special! Highly recommend!

Beer was good but service was slow due to only 2 people serving on a busy night. Wasn't helped by a drunk woman pushing in and being served when I'd been waiting for over 10 minutes. Will go back and try again

We visited the Norfolk Arms after a day out hiking in the Peak District and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! A great selection of draught beers and ales, friendly staff, a lively atmosphere and AMAZING tacos. I would definitely recommend them and will be back if we're in the area again.

Brilliant food after a walk around kinder nature reserve. We had the hummus and bread, black pudding for starters and tacos for mains.

I can’t recommend the Norfolk Arms enough for an afternoon tea event/experience. I booked this for a friends bridal shower, the staff were SO accommodating, so helpful & they decorated the room absolutely beautifully for us. They went above & beyond & I will definitely be booking more events here in future. Thank you so much for having us 🥰❤️

Meal for two on a Sunday afternoon. Not told roasts were off when booking, then most pies also not available. Service was hit and miss - with one bartender saying "don't know the WiFi password, sorry" and making no attempt to find out what it was. Food was average, beer better. Better food pubs close by.
