My favourite place to eat , lovely setting, great atmosphere and tasty food. Dog friendly which is brilliant.

Nordico is amazing. The food is brilliant, plenty of vegan and gluten free options. The staff are always friendly and proactive. I've been going for years and I recomnd it to anyone going for a day out in ormskirk. They're dog friendly, clean and polite. Incredible staff, brilliant dining experience. I could imagine a better place to spend my money on food.

Visited Nordico a few times but really enjoyed our last visit. We brought along some friends, one being a Vegan and she couldn't get over the amazing choice of vegan dishes. She had the BLT and a spicy tomato soup - really fantastic and very much enjoyed!! Even though it was a Sunday, it does get busy so we do recommend either booking or getting in before 12. However the staff work hard and the drinks soon zoomed over to us. If you are feeling adventurous, try the frappe!! Can't recommend their French Vanilla syrup enough. There was a lovely market on in town so Nordico is the place to go for a drink and to rest your feet. Tables are cleaned and reset for customers and you get your own paper menu, so don't worry if you still feel uncomfortable since covid they look after you at Nordico!! :) Thanks for a lovely visit! Up until now, I've enjoyed the unusual decor and the vegetarian options. I also liked that you could take your dog in too. This was despite a chipped glass coffee mug which cut my lip (no apologies from the waitress who changed my mug) and the occasional dirty piece of cutlery..... I still continued to go for the above reasons. It was mine and my husband's 15 year anniversary so we went with our young kids. Their meals were ok so I'm just speaking for myself really. Firstly, the table, although intended to look distressed, was so chipped and aged that I felt we should all use the large paper menus as placemats (as I'm really fussy about germs,. particularly since COVID). Anyway, dealt with this and waited for the food. Again just speaking for myself as they didn't complain about their meals, my spicy tomato soup arrived and it was basically just a bowl of spicy liquid which to be honest, was painful to eat. Clearly, it seemed that nobody checked the soup as it was being made because it was just runny, spicy liquid - you wouldn't guess there were tomatoes in it. If I'd made it at home, I'd have binned it. I should have complained but felt that, based on previous experience with the chipped mug, I wouldn't have had a satisfactory conclusion and didn't want to spoil the trip out with it being our anniversary..... I also ordered an Americano coffee, cold drinks for my family and a jug of water for the table. My husband's coke was fine and the cartons of apple juice were too. My coffee just tasted like weak hot water and the glasses that came with the meal were dirty: two had white smear marks all around the rim and one had chocolate from the previous user's mouth! We called someone over to change them. Then my daughter's knife had dried on food stuck to the handle where it hadn't been washed properly..... Ugh, it was just a disaster from start to finish. £37 down and I've got a painful abdomen and diaorreah now the next morning for my trouble.... We won't be going back there again. They need to sort their pot washing staff out, put some sort of clear covering on top of those distressed style tables, and start tasting the food as they're cooking it. Whatever their response to this is (which will undoubtedly be in their own defense) this is constructive criticism and I can't be the only person to have experienced at least one of these things.

I'm always more than happy with the service and friendliness of the staff, unfortunately with covid 19 is creating issues for all businesses, but the Nordico staff are very well trained and take their jobs seriously BZ

After visiting the Saturday market, we called in for brunch. It was quite busy but we and the dog were easily accommodated near to the ‘Dog Table’ which has bowls, water, dog treats and blankets available. Ordering via the app at the table probably took me longer than ordering at the counter, but once ordered my fresh orange juice and coffee soon arrived. My wife was disappointed that they did not have semi skimmed milk for her Cappuccino, so chose an Americano instead. This will stop us visiting just for coffee in the future. They wouldn’t do half skimmed mixed with half full fat which would have been acceptable! Our brunches were very nice, served very hot. The side of Hash Browns were exceptionally delicious. We’ve eaten at a number of different lounges and all have been excellent.

Food used to be really good...I dont know whats happened... we have ordered panini sandwiches and they were extremely greasy and wet...tuna melt sandwich was tasteless. Chips tasted like they were fried in a very old oil...such a shame as we used to love going to Nordico. Won't visit again.

LOVE this place! We have been eating here for many years and will for many more! The restaurant is quirky in décor, always spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is delicious! For any occasion from breakfast to dinner or just drinks this place is our go to.

Food lovely had the homemade roast tomato and onion soup absolutely lovely quality only gave 4 stars because alcohol very expensive from £5.80 upwards for a pint which I think is ridiculous.

I visited here for the first time on Wednesday with a group of friends. The food was delicious. The atmosphere in the place is great and the staff are all lovely. I will most definitely be returning here, my fave place at the moment!

Decent place for lunch and drinks

Great food, good prices, nice venue, friendly atmosphere.

Staff were so lovely (two ladies working tuesday 21st may evening especially). Went above and beyond, couldn’t do enough for you. Food was amazing, perfect tapas and wine for such a good price. Cocktail deal was great, will definitely be back ☺️

Food was nice just a bit tight in terms of filling, sausage sarnie consisted of 3 X halves if sausage not 2 full sausage, that said it was nice.

Absolutely lovely food. Only issue was that we informed the waitress we had to sit away from dogs due to allergy and a table came in with a dog half way through and sat on the table adjacent to us.

Been to this place maybe 15 times, I live in ormskirk to be honest it's a bit hit n miss, service is the worst aspect by far it seems duty manager is unable to instruct staff to clean and clear tables after customers have left, or maybe the training could be better, my wife and I went in today as it happens it was market day, we asked a member of staff to clear and wipe the table only to be told from across the room, I'll do it when i bring over your order, maybe its me but I found this a little rude, not really what I expected,ormskirk now has so many bars and eateries to choose from I think this place needs a shake up, also prices are on the high side Generally people remember bad service and spread that experience fast I fear if this place is to survive and I hope it does it needs to invest in attention to detail and be managed a bit better

the manager is a horrible person. They wouldn't let my friends and I have drink even with an ID after we'd bought the drinks and then they took them away. HORRID!!!

Usually just a latte and treated with friendly and efficiently approach.

Food is okay for the price, had to send back a few times due to things being burnt, but replaced with no issue, atmosphere is good, service is good when you are there, however we called on a Saturday morning to book a table for 5 to be told that they don't reserve a table for less than 8.... We were trying to book due to it being too busy to seat us on the last 3 occasions! Very odd policy that probably needs reviewing and changing.

Great cafe, various seating options including comfy armchairs. You can have all day breakfast, or burgers, tapas, oriental dishes and more. Nice variety to choose from and the Cowboy smash burger I had was delicious and I am rarely a big fan of burgers to be honest. You can have a classic eggs Benedict (it's hidden in the menu a bit, called Lounge Eggs), which was also good. I liked the cappuccino, the vanilla matcha latte was interesting. I guess the only disappointment was the sherbet lemonade, which was just like a watered down lemonade. I was offered a replacement when I mentioned it at the end, but I had other nice drinks so didn't need it at that point. It was a busy Saturday and we were told to expect half an hour wait for food. Well, they were faster than other places that don't give any warnings. Very good service overall. Oh and doggies are welcome :)

My boyfriend and myself went there and we both had an all day breakfast and a pot of tea. We must have waited about 20 minutes from ordering our food. Which we thought was disgusting. When we received the food it wasn't anything special. The bacon we had was that over cooked you had a job to cut it with the knives. When we went to pay for it I couldn't believe my ears. It was £24 for 2 all day breakfasts and 2 pots of tea. We were both totally disappointed with tge service and the food and prices. We went be going there again .

Great venue, lovely food and excellent friendly service

Lovely place, great atmosphere, dogs welcome, however food on both occasions was very underwhelming for me. Ordered by mistake the fried buttermilk chicken, it arrived deep fried to within an inch of its life, very dry and chewy. I thought I was ordering a chicken burger on the app. I got 2 very deep fried chicken breasts, fries and a bit of mayo. Last occasion I ordered the Rose truffle chicken, it was okay nothing special and not overly hot. It's a lovely place but food for me was lacking on both occasions. I only come here as our dog is welcome. Husbands food has always been good, the big breakfast each time.

We enjoy calling into the Nordic lounge. My dog loves having a few treats with a donation . And loves to people and dog watch . The staff now are always friendly and accommodating.

Lovely selection of food with a good range of gluten and dairy free meals as both my daughter and I have dietary requirements. Only downside was the kitchen miss read the request and only three meals sent through. Had to wait for mine to be done separately. Was offered complementary drinks as compensation.

Friendly staff and both the food and the vibe bangs

Brilliant beyond meat vegan burger, the best carrot cake ever had, unfortunately the meat burgers 2 people had were lukewarm so had to take out 1 star, otherwise cannot fault the service, quality of food and customer service, dog friendly too so lots of cute pooches and they look after your dog if they need a drink too. Really great relaxed environment, you get what you pay for.

Had dinner here for my birthday with my family on the 28/12, was really delicious and is always my go-to place for a meal! Generous portions, always yummy and fab drink selection. The waiter that looked after us - I didn't catch his name - was SO amazing. He was so fun and made the whole meal really pleasant. I dont really write reviews, but I wanted to thank him for being so great!

Called in for a lovely breakfast, friendly atmosphere with attentive staff.

Fantastic venue right in the heart of the town easy to access as there’s parking nearby. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff whom took us to our table . The tapas we ordered was top class and very well priced . The decor is a big mixture of old and new and makes for very comfortable surroundings. My only slight criticism is that me and my wife kept our coats on which made the temperature just right as there’s a lack of radiators for a big open space . I highly recommend this place it ticks all the boxes .

Delightful place in the heart of Ormskirk. Clean, welcoming and family friendly with all dietary requirements catered for. Our food was good and portions were perfect but the macaroni and cheese was far too hot (dish was very hot to touch) for young children, which is not ideal when you have a hungry 3 year old. Other than that, would recommend.

Great service and atmosphere, guy at bar helped me out hugely by searching for bus times for me and explaining where the train station and bus stop was. Very friendly people.

Went with family of 7. Nice decor and atmosphere. Ordered at our table using mobile phone. Drinks came promptly. Food took longer, so I had finished my coffee well before food arrived. However, food when it did arrive was excellent with very ample portions and very well prepared. Would recommend a further visit.

Went here 8th December for our office Christmas meal. Received a warm welcome on arrival and fast efficient service at the bar. The food was excellent and I particularly enjoyed the tapas style starters. The waiting staff were very friendly and attentive and ensured we had a great night. Highly recommended!

Met with my friend and had brunch. We waited well over half an hour for our order to arrive, and it was barely warm, with very over done eggs. I know it was a busy, Saturday late morning, but is batch cooking the way forward? Or maybe more waiting staff at peak times? Either way the food, which could have been amazing, suffered as a direct result.

Food was good, portions are a little small.

Lovely breakfast as per usual disappointed my egg was covered in pepper and hard so egg went back unfortunately no one brought my replacement I would prefer not to have any seasoning added to my food as like to season myself bit enjoyed what I had

The staff are lovely and very friendly. The venue itself is also really nice. I visited with my friend today and our little boys. Our food was good but I was a bit disappointed that we ordered the pancakes with banana from the kids menu but actually received pancakes and blueberries, which my son doesn’t like. There was no explanation given for why we didn’t get banana and the server looked confused when I pointed out that it was missing and then told me they had no bananas?!? Might seem like a minor thing but when you’re eating with toddlers, getting the order right is really important, especially when it’s not really cheap!

Food was good. Staff attitude was very poor. We were refused a tab . We have been customers since the lounge opened and have always had a tab. Why now ? Have we suddenly become untrustworthy pensioners..

Lovely atmosphere and the service and food was amazing

Absolutely wonderful place with the largest gluten-free selection I've ever seen on a menu! I'd written off ever getting to try something like nasi goreng, but thanks to this place I was able to and it was delicious. The staff were very helpful as well, and knowledgeable about allergies (when asking about my nut allergy, they made a point of making sure I was aware of other allergens in the dish and had even kept the sesame paste in a separate pot so I could leave it off if I needed to.) The décor was lovely, the dogs in the café were a very welcome addition and extremely well behaved, and overall it turned out to be the perfect venue for a birthday meal. I can't recommend this place highly enough and I'll absolutely go back next time I'm in Ormskirk!

We love Nordico - great selection of food at reasonable prices. All really tasty - never had a bad item. Ordering and paying via the app is so easy. Good selection of hot, cold and alcoholic drinks. We love the decor - lots to look at, interesting pictures and nic-nacs. It's spacious too - they don't squeeze you in. The tomato and mozzarella panini I had was absolutely gorgeous.

Butter chicken and chips are really good with maple and BBQ sauce. , the sweet potatoes fries were crispy and tastier than I've had before well worth an upgrade From chips but I probably order both🤪 The staff were lovely everyone in our party enjoyed their food . I will definitely recommend it and definitely go back to eat.

I went here a few weeks back with a colleague and we both had our lunch there. They do the fresh orange using fresh oranges in the machine, which is my absolute favourite orange juice so I was glad to get a big glass of it while sitting in the sun. The vegan menu looked amazing! Couldn't believe the variety they had on offer. I ordered the BLT and my friend had avocado on toast with eggs I think. To say I was disappointed with what arrived is an understatement. It was cheap bread, there was no mayo as stated in the menu, and it generally looked rubbish. I asked for mayo in the hope it would taste better than it looked and I was given some. Unfortunately, it was just awful. I didn't say anything as it was market day and the staff were so busy, and I just didn't want to cause them any bother. I won't eat here again, but I will go for an orange juice. It's not difficult to make a decent sandwich, you clearly had decent bread as my friends meal looked good! Take this review as intended, and just do better with the vegan options please. Service was excellent, so thank you for being professional even when you were rushed off your feet. I've done this job before and know how hectic it gets so I appreciate your excellent customer service.

Lovely surroundings, great staff and lovely food too. Tapas Tuesday is one to try. My wife and I go most Tuesday nights, just love it.

Fabulous venue, the atmosphere is just electric. Disabled facilities really good except for toilet roll placed too far behind me. Food was exceptional, this is our second visit..we love it. We both had ciabatta with lovely bacon, Fabulous chicken, cheese, tomato and spinach. The coating on the chicken was gorgeous. Our Latte and Chocolate weredeliciouswand hot. We live quite a way from Ormskirk but we will be visiting again soon. The staff were gorgeous 😍 Thank you

Had a few hours to kill as I was doing a pick up from the hospital, so I had a walk in Ormskirk town and decided to have a brunch. Decided to try here as not been before, the place was lovely, only had the Lounge Breakfast with extra Black Pudding. It was really nice and would try something different next time. I used the scan to order my food. It was really easy to do. The staff was friendly and there were plenty of spaces.

Lovely atmosphere, staff, food and drinks. We have been for breakfast/lunch a few times and found it consistently good 😊.

Food is nice, typical pub food however I was extremely impressed at the very large vegan options and gluten free options.
