This restaurant is the tops. Never disappointed. The food is lovely to look at and to eat. It is very good value for money. Unlike other restaurants the wine is inexpensive both for a glass or bottle, nice wine too. The owner and staff cannot do enough for you. Every visit is a pleasure. 🤗😊

I didn't really want to write a bad review about this restaurant as the staff are lovely and the service was good (although it wasn't busy at the time of our visit - which is odd as it was a Friday evening). Maybe the reason I'm giving a negative review is the reason other people are staying away. It's the food. Well, the food I ordered specifically. The chicken tikka was awful, and one piece of 'chicken' tasted REALLY weird. I dread to think what it was because it certainly was nothing like chicken. And the cucumber raita wasn't nice either. The poppadoms were fresh and crispy. Rice is rice. Maybe they have a different chef? But based on my recent experience I wouldn't return.

Fantastic Indian food, and wonderful service. The food is amazing I must say, would really reccomend the lamb curry. The staff and the owner are very welcoming, lovely people and nothing is ever too much trouble. If you haven't tried Noor, you absolutely must!

Noor Restaurant Hornchurch. Although the restaurant has been in Hornchurch for many years, this is the first time we have ever eaten there. We found the food very good, we weren’t rushed to order, and the staff were friendly, and efficient. We will go there again very soon.

Still the best Asian restaurant ever! First it’s a feast for your eyes then your taste buds. Very reasonable at all times but especially Wednesdays and Sundays - buffet. This does not mean serve yourself either, you get the same full service, an absolute delight.

Noor used to be one of our favourite places to go. They earnt our custom the night another local restaurant let us down and had us seated and fed within 30 minutes. We had been regulars ever since, both in person and with regular takeaway/delivery orders as well. Unfortunately, we haven't used them in a very long time and this is because they accepted an order for delivery through their website, took our money and only when we chased the order over an hour and a half later, were we informed that they were in dispute with the third party ordering and payment company and had cancelled the order immediately upon receipt. They told me themselves that the third party processing company wasn't sending through the paymentsto their account in a quick enough time and therefore they were refusing to accept any orders through them. Their response was that the third party should have told us the order had been cancelled and that we needed to deal with them to get the refund. To be clear, this is not like JE or Ubereats. This is not a third party website where you can order but just a processing system on Noors own website which allows you to submit the order and pay through the third party, more similiar to Paypal. We weren't pleased and pointed out that if they weren't using that system, why was it still on their website. We got told that they couldn't remove it, only the third party could. This was a complete lie with whoever created their website and/or qualified admins being able to remove this feature and we told them as much, known because my partner is in fact a web developer who builds these websites himself. Their response was to ask if he could fix it for them then!!!! They also blamed us for ordering through their website and not ringing the order through which was just ridiculous. If you have an ordering option on your website then why should we not use it??? After all that they just didn't want to accept any responsibility or even offer an apology and told us the only way to get our money back was to speak to the third party provider. I called them and they were in fact amazingly helpful, apologetic and confirmed that yes, they could refund our money and that they had told Noor to contact us as they only dealt with the payment side of things and forwarding the monies onto the restaurant. Unprompted, they even told me themselves that they've told Noor to update their website as we were not the first to have this issue but that they still kept getting orders through which were having to be refunded. Thankfully the money was back in my account within 4 days but we have refused to use them since. Over an hour and a half after placing our order, we had no food and the money had been taken out of our account. Even cancelling the order wouldn't have been the worst if they had just had the decency to tell us so we could place another order elsewhere. Zero care shown and it was shocking that they kept blaming everyone but themselves for the issue but ultimately, they are the business and they should have called to tell us they were cancelling the order themselves rather than relying on a third party payment processing company to do so. This was quite a while ago now and I note that their website still has an ordering system available so I can only hope this is with a different third party provider or that they settled their dispute so others aren't still getting caught out by this.

Just had a meal in Noor which was absolutely delicious. Staff are friendly and nice. Food is great and reasonably priced. Restaurant lovely and clean. A great place to eat.

Our regular go to when we want an indian. The staff are so friendly and the food is quite good. Prices are super reasonable, especially their sunday buffet which includes a starter,main, vegetable side, and a rice or naan for 12.95. Their daal is brilliant is a must have!

Bright and brightly decorated restaurant although the proprietor"s overblown prose in the description is rather off putting. Large selection of usual Indian dishes helpfully divided into sections. Generally tasty although the lamb was tough. Short but well chosen wine list at reasonable prices. Prosecco is available even though not shown on the wine list. Excellent staff, some kind words from Mr Noor himself and a complimentary liquor at he end made for a pleasant evening.

I don't want to bash the entire place as the staff at Noor are lovely and very accommodating. They will do their best to cook anything for you, even if its not on the menu. The service is also prompt and they check constantly that you have all you want. We were there for a friends dinner last week and the food was decidedly lacklustre. It wasn't terribly hot (temperature wise) and the flavour zing just wasn't there. It was ok, but of the quality you'd expect at home, not a restaurant. There's several top notch Indian restaurants in the area and if this one is to survive, they need to look at their offering.

My sister and i found this gem by accident as we took a wrong turn on our way to Queens Theater.The staff are so helpful and prompt with service. we went around 6pm and it was really quiet and was just getting busy when we left around 7pm.The food was served piping hot and was really well presented.We ordered from the main menu not the Buffet.We ordered:2 x poppadom1 x onion Bhaji1 x Chicken tikka 1 x Veggie curry1 x Mushroom Rice2 x soft drinksTotal £29.95Would deffo visit again!!

The food was excellent, plenty of it as well, for the first time in a long time we didn't finish all of it. The service was good (it may have helped that my mate knows the owner). All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this lovely restaurant.

For some reason I really wanted to like this restaurant as the service was great, the waiters could not have been more helpful and the restaurant its self is quite hidden and you would have to look twice to even realise it was there but... the chicken in my Madras was as chewy as an old bit of leather like it had been cooked then reheated and then cooked once again. Portion sizes were decent enough though and the sauce wasn't the type of watery slop you get from some other Indian establishments in Hornchurch. Prices are reasonable and the place is very clean.I might visit again and try another dish.Mr Curry.

Went in for a meal with colleagues who had flown in late and was greeted with friendly service. Drinks and starters came quickly and the mains were all tasty and without lurid colours but with good tastes and flavours. Overall good value for money and friendly...yes you can get posher food but for a good standard curry this was very good.

I visited this restaurant with my partner early september on a monday. No seating issues. Waiter was kind. Restaurant was clean. Food was top quality. Will definitely visit again if I go around to Hornchurch.

Food wasn’t that great, have tasted a lot better, service was awful, waited over an hour for food to be served. When ask about how long food would be he argued saying the people that had got their food before us was there longer than us! Don’t think so somehow. Even ask us to ask other customers how long they had been there before us. Won’t be visiting again.Very poor customer service.

I moved to Hornchurch from Canning Town 3 years ago and during that time we have tried various indian takeaways.

1st time visit on new years eve, booked at last minute for party of eight, the staff were very accommodating to fit us in on a busy night, as new customers we were slightly anxious about the food and service particularly as we invited other friends, but our experience and evening turned out to be a perfect night, the staff were very friendly and attentive and the food certainly matched up to our other favorite restaurants where we couldn't get seated, quality was maintained on what was a busy night, so we will definitely be returning at a less challenging time to experience a more relaxed night out as a couple.

This is a regular haunt for me and my family and it never fails to please. The staff are always friendly and professional, and they remember what we like to order. The service is never slow, and the food always tastes great. Whoever works in the kitchen clearly knows the dishes well and is a skilled cook.

Although there may be some good Indian restaurants in the Hornchurch area the reason why I like this one is that each dish always pastes as if it was made from fresh. The sauces seem to have a different quality. Some taste as if they come from a 'jar' not here. Polite and friendly staff. But don't take what I say without trying it yourself.

I've been coming here for years and wouldn't really think about going anywhere else in Hornchurch for an Indian meal. The staff are very attentive and polite, they treat you like a regular from the first time you come. There is a good range of food, including all those you'd expect to see in this type of restaurant, and they are happy to adjust dishes on request. I recommend it to all my friends and many have become regulars as a result. It suffers from being slightly off the main high street otherwise I'm sure it would be very difficult to get in.

We are regular visitors to the Noor Restaurant as the food is always superb, the service efficient and friendly, atmosphere is pleasant and the prices reasonable! There is no reason for us to go to any other Indian in the area! Love it.

Six of us visited on 7 November 2015. Waiter couldn't get the drinks order correct. Starters were fine - good even. But then came the wait for the main course - about an hour. In the mean time the large table near us complained - to no avail - about cold and uncooked food and left. When our food did turn up, it was okay but only warm. Clearly it had been cooked and left lying around whilst it waited for one of the non - existent waiters to bring it to us. When the waiter asked me how the food was and I told him, he walked away giving no reply. Basically don't bother.

Arrived at 8:00 and was seated straight away, then waited 20 mins to be asked what drinks we wanted, I thought this was strange as they weren't exactly busy!!,We ordered our starters which took a further 45 mins to be served, and to be honest it was mediocre at bestWe then ordered our mains and double checked with the waiter that he had everything correct, but when the mains arrived over an hour later there were 3 dishes missing!And the standard of the food was appalling, the tandoori chicken was still pink on the inside!!! Which is totally unacceptable, most of the other dishes were conjeled and cold as if they had been sitting for an hour!! And the rice was hard and under cooked!At this point we went and complained to the manager whose attitude was not sympathetic, I said I would pay for the starters and drinks but not the mains, he agreed and we all left straight away without touching our mains!!At no time did the manager apologise for the poor service or food!!I wouldn't go there again even if they offered a meal on the house!!!Totally ruined our night, thankfully plenty of other restaurants were still open

Went with a Friend who regularly visits here (Chris) and had a great meal good few beers and superb service! Hope next time im this way i shall get to visit!

My partner and I visited on 4th Oct 2015, and had the Sunday buffet deal - Starters, Mains, side dish and rice or naan for £10.95. The poppadoms came free of charge!I had a prawn puri for starters as that or chicken chat are my favourite, and it was the best prawn puri I've had, full of flavour and most importantly plenty of prawns and NO GREASE! My boyfriend had the lamb tikka which was just the right portion size and delicious. The chicken pasanda for my mains was beautiful,I normally have a spicier dish but fancied comfort food last night and this was perfectly flavoured, again with NO GREASE! The chicken dhansak was possibly the best I've tried also.we had two big glasses of water each (only tap, my boyfriend had a hangover!) and they didn't object to serving this at all.We left literally full to the brim and the bill was exactly £10.95 a head. The waiting staff were really lovely - we had a new guy, I didn't get his name, but if the owner see's this....he's doing a great job :)5 stars,will definitely come here again.

This is probably the least imposing restaurant in Hornchurch when looking from the outside. Inside it is very comfortable. The food is Bangladeshi and of the highest quality and I think the best of this type of food in the area. Noor and his family give wonderful service, and the bill won't break the bank.

A few days ago I was in Hornchurch visiting friends and we decided to go to this restaurant as a change from Chinese or Thai.In the evenings there is a buffet which offers a choice of starter main course and either rice or various types of nan or chapati. It came to about 15 pounds each including one beer each. I had Bengali fish cakes with salad for a starter and a chicken vindaloo for main course with keema Nan. Everything was very tasty. The service was fast and the beer, although expensive was good. I would go there again.

£9.95 for three courses on a Sunday is great value, but not if a tub of salt has been poured into the Chicken Dansak.Clearly the cook made a mistake but the waiter was not interested. Never again, lots more choice in Hornchurch.

A great favorite of ours when we visit Hornchurch! This visit we tried the family recommended Sunday night buffet. A starter, a meat or fish course, a veggie course and a choice of rice, all for 10 quid!! Service and food always excellent.

Me and my boyfriend visit noor at least twice a month as we love it in there and are never disappointed. The service is excellent and the staff now know our orders so we don't need the menu. I fully intend to try other curry houses in the area but this place is so good it is hard to go anywhere else!

There are many restaurants in Hornchurch and, having known the area for many years, I was surprised to be recommended to one I did not know….Mr Noor.After many visits, I can recommend the traditional yet smart interior, the fabulous food but, best of all, the terrific service.Mr Noor or his son and all the staff make you feel so welcome.With a very fair Chablis on the wine menu, what more could you ask for.

I was late arriving in Hornchurch for a family visit but was hungry. Not wanting bland food cooked at my mother's house I opted for a curry at a unknown restaurant. I had a quick look around at the menu in 3 local restaurants, and opted for the cheapest one, hoping that it would not be the worst.I did not have a starter, but had just my normal signature dish (chicken tikka dansak) and I also had a sag paneer (melted cheese blocks with spinach). I had a beer and popadums while I waited, and when the food arrived, it was decent, and not too sweet (as some restaurants easily ruin these two dishes if they are sweet), everything was fresh and tasty, and upon subsequent visits I will most likely go there, rather than the other more expensive ones

This year i thought we could do something different. We took as trip to the Noor Restaurant, Hornchurch and had really good meal. The service was very good and the food was well prepared and tasty and more importantly it was like the usual run of the mill indian venues. The food had loads of flavour, looked great and wasn't greasy and it didn't leave a horrid fatty residue on the plates. Great value for money - cant wait to go back.

Ordered a takeaway and found 3 hairs in my chips. I didn't look for anymore and just threw it away. It's really put me off visiting there again.

Bangladeshi cuisine is featured in the house specials section. Hornchurch has a plethora of subcontinent restaurants, and I've tried them all, but this one is consistently at the top of the list

They have a fantastic Balti, and good food in general. Unfortuately, Vindaloo and few others are not at the same level of their Balti, but that's because it's super! Mainly for the price! Noor deserves a 5 stars mark as Value!!! And a pretty high mark in food as well!

Me and a few friends ate at the Noor on Saturday evening, very relaxed venue and nice friendly staff, car park is free after 6pm on the weekends and it's just behind the restaurant. Starters were lovely, mains were tasty and the beers kept flowing. Good night overall.

We have been using Noor now for quite a few years. The food is always excellent and very good value. The staff are very friendly and always remember you and make you welcome. I think the best value meal is the Sunday buffet, which is not really a buffet at all, as you still get table service. You can order 4 dishes person from the menu, one starter, one main, one side and a bread for £9.95. The choice is the same as from the usual menu, just missing a couple of dishes. If you don't drink too much the cost is £20 per couple.Noor is well worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood.

We started using cafe noor when it very first opened, we have never had a bad meal and order a delivery once a fortnight , occasionally we eat it and the staff are very friendly and the food is always spot on.

There are a number of good Indian restaurants in the surrounding area but this is the one we keep returning to. The food is always of good quality, I especially enjoy their mixed starter, and the prices are very reasonable but it is the friendliness of the propieter & his staff that really helps to make this restaurant a favourite.
