After 30 years came back for a meal. It somehow got even better. Great food and service. Good value when eating out costs so much

The restaurant was packed at 7.30 p.m. for a Thursday evening. We were able to get a table for 2. We had pompadoms with a nice selection of dips. We then had meat samosas which were lovely. Our choice of mains were not great. My husband had chicken biryani which was like a dish of mush. I had murgi masalla which is tandoori chicken pieces in spicy mince. The chicken was just plain in a spicy sauce. Not sure if our waiter was new as he spilt the dips on the table and was going to leave the mess and just give us fresh cutlery until we said to him. Won't be going back ..........

First time at the restaurant. Very impressed with the quality of the meal. Good choice too. All staff friendly, we were offered a complimentary drink and were then given a surprise one after. We will definitely be coming back

We usually go to Masala grill opposite but the service and lack of smiles made us have a change, service was really good food was good for me but 2 of our group thought opposite was better,all about opinions I guess but one things for sure the service and atmosphere was different class,money wise it’s the same,we ordered starters and 2 shared,once they knew it was being shared it was a nice touch that they brought each of them a plate with the portion halved,not rushed and I will certainly return as the service means a lot to me

Visited kushoom burgh with my son on a Friday evening... Very nice and polite staff but our food was average... Been there many times and noticed the food is not as I use to be, maybe different chefs now. Good atmosphere and staff very attentive... Just abit disappointed with our food..

Service was great, staff were friendly and efficient. Unfortunately the food was bland. If you like something with flavour and spice this isn’t the restaurant for you. The Madras tasted like tomato. The tandoori chicken looked great but had no flavour and was dry. Hard to make chicken on the bone dry. The naan tasted like cake. Everything came luke warm other than the lamb samosas. Which weren’t good either. I can only imagine if you can’t handle any sort of flavour and spice then this is the restaurant for you. The lamb and chicken in the curries were cooked very well though. Tender lamb and tender yet succulent chicken.

Do not use this restaurant. Staff are rude and aggressive, will not let you have a copy of the bill you have paid for. Avoid at all costs

Great food and the service was excellent had a great night in there and I'm sure we will go back soon.

Ordered a takeaway first time. Food was very good but they forgot the naan bread hence the three stars instead of four. I would try again with this restaurant though as the food was good

Friendly family restaurant with great food

We booked after a recommendation and all three of us agreed it was the best most delicious Indian food we have tasted. I am in my late 50s and curry is my go to food. We will be back soon

Top food, top service every time. The kitchen staff know how to produce great food and the waiters know how to serve it. Then the management finish off with 1st customer service by being friendly and offering a complimentry drink.

Visited for the first time this weekend and after getting good reviews from friends wanted to try it for ourselves and we weren't disappointed.The menu was very extensive and all the food was delicious , we will definitely be returning.

Always have good food whenever I visit. Only thing I don’t really like is the pickle & chutneys you get with the poppadoms. One was like tomato sauce & another was just powdered paprika. Strange.

Every time I visit this restaurant I query why I go elsewhere! The standard is great, with each dish having its own unique flavour, unlike some restaurants where the flavours seem mildly different. We started with King Prawn butterfly, and ordered a Jhalfrezi, Dhansak, lemon rice, chilli nan and sag aloo. Wonderful flavours from each dish and no sign of oil/ghee which gets a big thumbs up from me. The dips for the poppadoms is always worth a mention - tamarind wins the day here! The service is always impeccable, making sure you experience a warm welcome and continuing to ensure your visit is great. The fact Kushoom Bugh has been in Upminster for decades, competing with many other Asian restaurants nearby, tells you its a favourite, and long may it continue!

Lovely food efficient staff everything was good.

Second time to this restaurant. The service provided by the host was incredible. They make us feel incredibly welcome and always attentive. The curry itself simply speaks for itself. Simply delightful.

Staff is very good and friendly. Food if you specify them they try to fullfill requirements. Atmosphere is also clean and pleasent.

This is our go-to Indian restaurant in Upminster. It's always great food, the service is excellent, and only a short walk from our front door. The menu is varied, with an excellent selection of vegetarian options and meat specialities. Each time I have been in to collect our food, the staff are welcoming and offer a drink whilst I wait, which is much appreciated. We haven't eaten in the restaurant, so we can not comment. However, it is always busy - a popular place indeed.

It was very cramped (too many tables really) but the food and service was lovely!!!

We went in on a Saturday evening as a table of 2 and had a very good time.Overall, we got 3 entrees in between us and ordered some rice and chapti. I forget the name of the dish that I ordered, but it had fish and was very pleasant. The atmosphere was a really friendly environment and conducive to conversation. Nice hidden gem!

Nice Indian restaurant with friendly staff. Food is of a good standard and the service is good. Visited here several times and not been disappointed.

I recently visited the restaurant after 20 years when I used to go to on a weekly basis, since moving north I wanted to return ,I can honestly say I was not disappointed the staff were friendly the food was fresh good choice and I will be returning very soon. Thankyou

Always fantastic food, the tandoori chicken is 10 out of 10. Always busy, but you never wait long. The service is always spot on. Go and enjoy a proper decent Indian.

Great friendly service Great food highly recommended...

The restaurant has been there since the late 70s so a fixture in the high street. The food was very good for the usual typical high street indian. Being a busy night we waited a bit longer to order and for the food to arrive but not a problem and all dishes arrived as ordered. Usual couple of Cobras and two lots of complimentary drinks at the end.

The food here is absolutely delicious and if you love a white wine I highly recommend the Sancerre, I actually took a photo which I have attached so I can buy this for at home. This place has a real warm authentic feel and even if you haven't booked the staff will always try to fit you in. The service can be a little slow but it doesn't put us off from going, the food is that good we don't mind waiting for it.

We was going to be a little late so we called up and he said that’s fine so we got there and he gave away our table and started pointing at us and being very aggressive so I would not recommend.

I would just like to leave this review to confirm this is the best indian takaway in upminster/Hornchurch. Since moving to Hornchurch from Billericay I have tried all the Indian takeaways with disappointment. I could not fault any if the dishes and the service I received. If you want the best takaway please try. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I wi not be trying any others.Hat of to the Chefs and staff. You have my business I will not be going anywhere else. 5 stars thank you

Always have a nice meal here. Generous portions traditionally cooked. My go to curry house in Havering. Good wines like Fleurie available at reasonable prices.

Probably the best Indian I've been to, they have an excellent selection of dishes and the service is always excellent both when dining in or getting food to take away.

fantastic service - came in after a school show with a table of 25-30 teenagers which is always a tricky job but the waiters were so kind and professional. not a single mistake with any food despite such a huge amount of us and was great with splitting a bill. food was great everyone enjoyed it. amazing would totally recommend.

Been going here for years and it is usual very good quality food, but lately the quality has dropped my lamb bhuna has been very tough and the chicken a tad overdone. Needs sorting!

Walked by the restaurant today & grabbed a menu. What a good move! Tonight we had a fabulous meal at home, delivered bang on time, piping hot & delicious. Really recommend Crocodile Tears but TBF everything we had was so good! Thanks guys, looking forward to when we can come to the restaurant proper - but the delivery takeaway is every bit as good.

Had two take sways from here over Xmas and new year. Really great tasty food. Tandoori King Prawns, lamb chops so good. Recommend the Sagga Chicken too.

We never have takeaway Indian food as I find it nicer and around the same price to eat in, but due to the circumstances of covid we decided to order a takeaway, during normal times the Kushoom does not operate a delivery service (as far as I know!). Well the food was lovely, plentiful, fresh and delicious exactly the same quality as if eating in, really good, would not hesitate to recommend yum yum.

Lived near here for 7 years and got my first delivery last week. Wow wow wow. It’s was superb. Every dish outstanding. Couldn’t fault it. Ordering again tonight and once lockdown ends I’m heading in as a weekly regular. Highly recommend. We had it delivered by a very friendly chap. 10stars to this place.

Best Indian food ive ever had with great service

Hate to say it as they are super friendly and service good, however food just lacked a bit of flavour.

Been here quite a few times and every time the food and service have been great! Really friendly staff. Quick and reliable service with great tasting foods. Got a drink on the house at the end. Will defiantly be back!

Service and food was excellent but covid precautions very low. I was sitting 3 foot from next table and no screen.All waiters wore masks but everyone was under the chin and talking with in 1 foot of me.Customers wandering to toilet etc no masks. I would go again but only when they sort their covid security

Been going to this restaurant for a few years and it gets better and better each time

The vegetarian dishes were good. But the chicken tikka masala was tough, suggesting that it wasn't fresh as my wife had an awful tammy ache during the night. I also had a mild tammy ache the morning after.
