We have visited Nomadic twice and I am torn on the basis of our experiences. To put it simply, first time was great, second not so. We first visited for Feast Over Fire in the summer which was absolutely superb from start to finish. We couldn’t wait to return and booked the Funghi Feast at the end of October. Unfortunately this time we left disappointed. I can’t fault the food itself, it was delicious and flavourful but the portions were undersized, the kind I would expect in a tasting menu, rather than a standard three course meal. The main course was venison which consisted of three tiny medallions accompanied by one mushroom and an onion, no carbs apart from bread available on the table. I have an average appetite and found it wasn’t enough and not great value for money. We came for 12.30 sitting. As we and other diners were still enjoying drinks and marshmallows around the fire, at 15.30 we were asked to leave quite suddenly by the host (politely and humorously, mind). This was in contrast to the first time and took us by surprise, shall we say. We had contemplated coming in December but this is now doubtful. In summary, great concept, good location, sadly value for money and consistency is lacking.

We came to Nomadic for my birthday, and the experience was really special. We had a foraging tour and then had our food afterwards. Incredibly knowledgeable team, and a really magical atmosphere. Would highly recommend Nomadic, and would love to return soon!

We had the most wonderful time at the Nomadic Indian Feast this weekend. The atmosphere and location are stunning - in the woods with twinkly lights hung all around. The food was so delicious and beautifully presented but not fussy. It was such a lovely way to spend an afternoon with family and a great experience. We will certainly go back to Nomadic again

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a summer corporate event at Nomadic, and it was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. The setting, food and service was unbelievably good. We were lucky enough to have a feast cooked over fire by Chef Bart Van Der Lee which all of our guests loved. The Nomadic team offered a variety of activities, and we selected foraging, axe throwing, and laser clay shooting, all of which were a hit. A special thank you to Rochelle for all your and recommendations and help coordinating such a large group. Thank you to all at Nomadic! We will hopefully be back again!

We went as a special occasion, expecting the quality of the food to match the price tag, effort required to get to the location and the online advertisements. However, the interaction with the chefs was minimal, the seating arrangements were cramped (20 people per table) and the food felt like it was prepared en masse instead of carefully curated, with portions being overpowered by spice and the amount of food served being on the smaller size. The Prosecco had run out entirely before the first course had even begun and drinks had to be collected from a bar located outside of the dining area. Overall, good looking location and met friendly staff and people. However for the price, there is a lot left to be desired….

Marketing is great and looks nice in pictures but the food is not worthy!!! You get to eat in plastic plates and drinks were not included, plus you get to share the starters with random people and it’s very uncomfortable to eat since they try to fit as many People as they can per table! OVERALL DISAPPOINTED EXPERIENCE AND A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!

This is the 2nd time I have been to Nomadic Dinners, as the last visit (a couple of years ago) was amazing. This time round it simply wasn't as good, and maybe that is because I was comparing it to my previous experience. The food was good (not exceptional), however the thing that was different was the atmosphere and overall experience. Last time, the chefs visited each table personally and described in detail what they had prepared and the process behind each course. This time there was no interaction at all (other than a poorly managed Q&A at the end) with the chefs, so no explanation of what you were actually eating. Maybe its simply because the 'event' has grown significantly in size over the years and is now no longer 'personal'. Overall, good food... but not a great experience.

Nomadic Dinners - A Unique Woodland Setting, But Lacking in Culinary Experience My recent visit to Nomadic Dinners on August 10, 2024, for their Greek feast was an experience that blended the beauty of nature with outdoor dining. Located in the serene woods of Chalfont St Peter, the setting is undoubtedly breathtaking. With tables set under the trees, crackling fire pits, and a welcoming area under a tent, the atmosphere was charming and perfect for a unique dining adventure. The ambiance was enhanced by a live band, creating a pleasant background soundtrack to our meal. While the noise level was a bit higher near the band, the rest of the dining area had a comfortable buzz of conversation from fellow guests at the communal tables. However, despite the enchanting surroundings, the culinary experience left much to be desired. The meal was served as a fixed menu, starting with a simple Greek salad and basic bread. Unfortunately, the main course—pulled lamb with boiled potatoes—was quite underwhelming. The lamb, though tender, lacked depth in flavor, and the potatoes were less than appealing, lacking the delicate touch one might expect. The dessert, a traditional Greek cake with ice cream, was also disappointing, feeling more like a supermarket offering than a handcrafted delicacy. While the woodland atmosphere was lovely, the quality and presentation of the food did not meet expectations, especially considering the £125 per person price tag. Additionally, the service was generally friendly, but a key disappointment was the absence of coffee with dessert, despite our request. We were told it would be served afterward, but it never arrived, leaving us with only herbal tea as an option. In summary, Nomadic Dinners offers a beautiful setting and a novel concept, but unfortunately, the food quality and overall dining experience fell short of what was promised. For those drawn in by the stunning Instagram photos, it’s essential to know that the reality might not live up to the visual appeal. While I appreciate the effort and the ambiance, I wouldn’t recommend this experience based on the value for money. With some improvements to the menu and service, it could be a standout, but for now, it remains more of a picturesque idea than a fulfilling dining experience.

If you are looking for a totally unique experience for a corporate event then look no further than Nomadic. I recently booked Nomadic for a private company Awards Dinner and I’m so glad I did! The feedback from our guests was amazing. It’s a beautiful setting, the food was delicious, the service was great and nothing was too much trouble for Noah and his team on the night. We also booked a forager, he was a great addition to the agenda and again something totally different. Not forgetting the support from Rochelle with all the planning. Thank you Team Nomadic it was a great evening and we will be back. 👏👏

After seeing a couple of negative reviews on Tripadvisor I was worried - but these are clearly from people who always want to find something negative in everything they do. The day was absolutely flawless, the staff were so kind and engaging. The setting is peaceful, calm and beautiful. The foraging was wonderful and insightful but not too detailed. Welcome cocktails were tasty, food was incredible. The chef came round to each table to ask our opinion of the meal. What an incredibly special day. Yes it's quite ££, but it's once in a lifetime experience and SO worth it for a special occasion. Thank you Nomadic team!

What a lovely day, from the warm welcome on arrival, thought the very interesting foraging your to the delicious lunch, it was perfect. The lamb was the best I’ve ever had, smoky, buttery and so tasty. Beautiful location in the woods too but the day was really made special by being able to watch the cooking over fire in the open air kitchen and the interactions chef Bart has with the guests. Wonderful experience, highly recommended.

Great location and setting but the whole thing felt underwhelming. It felt like everything was done on a tight budget with careful portion control. Having now read other reviews, it’s clear we were dished out the same menu that’s served every time, which was nice, but more nothing special. Starters - mixed tomatoes and bread. Tasty but nothing special. We asked for more bread and were told there wasn’t any more! Intermediate course - gazpacho - delicious tbf but more tomatoes?! Main - lamb, potatoes and greens. Nice but sort of thing you’d get served at a friend’s BBQ and small portion. Dessert - Eton mess just spooned out on a plate. It’s a nice rustic experience, but overall rather underwhelming and expensive. At £125/head I expected something a bit better.

Slightly disappointed with the experience for a number of reasons: 1 although canapés had been part of the menu, we were never offered, nor did we see any when we arrived on time 2 “foraging” was an over-sell in terms of the experience. Walked around the field behind the “dining area” and were introduced to nettles and elderflower… 3 we felt completely ignored by the host for the evening, Natalia, on several occasions, eg when trying to find our table (helped everyone else and then walked away so had to step in to stop her), informing table guests to queue for the dessert (again attention was to everyone else so had to grab her to check what was happening) Overall would not visit again, nor recommend

The experience was lovely and the setting was stunning. Staff friendly and attentive, and the foraging tour was interesting. Both myself and the others sat with me felt that the meal was underwhelming and not a representation of the foraging experience or being a "feast over fire". The three course meal was tasty but not really what I would expect of £125 and besides the aubergine of my vegetarian risotto (a really standard, uninspiring vegetarian option wherever you go!) nothing was cooked over a fire. The dessert of strawberry Eton mess and toasting marshmallows is such a cop-out for the price. There was nothing served that felt special, topical for the event or that I couldn't make myself for under £20. Parking was limited which I appreciate is due to the location but they should consider this when capping ticket numbers! That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the talk and dining experience in the forest. It would be the perfect wedding location and meal but overall the dishes fell short of my expectations and was a costly experience.

I had an incredible experience with Nomad Dinners. WOW it was extraordinary and definitely surpassed my expectations! The operations team was excellent, all hands on and supportive throughout the whole day. Impeccable service and attention to the details! Absolutely loved the set ups, drinks under the tree in the field, the florals, the outdoor cooking and the food was absolutely delicious no one could stop talking about how delicious and tasty the food was and also how fit it was to the weather! The program for the day was slick and we never felt rushed. Such smooth transitions from walking in the forest and fields, to drinks and canapés under the big tree, to the incredible feast and onto drinks and dancing by the tipis. The set up was just the right sophistication but also laid back rustic countryside feel. Dining set up, beautiful florals and family style served meal. The starters were fresh, light and tasty exactly what you want before the mains. Absolutely recommend the roasted salmon cooked in the wood-fire by the tables and lamb were flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend. The pre-batched margaritas were also delicious, probably one of my favorite spins on a classic margarita. I also had a smooth process with the planning phase of the event. Rochelle and Noah and Kate were excellent to work with. Thanks again!

We booked Nomadic Dinners for a joint 25th, 30th and 60th birthday meal celebration and it went fantastically well. The food was absolutely outstanding, the tables were laid beautifully and the hosting was very attentive. It’s really gone down in history as an unforgettable evening with everyone that came. (We also set our own dress code theme) It’s worth also mentioning that we went in November so we were apprehensive about it being to cold but there were heaters inside which made it perfectly cosy alongside the fire, if anything we had to delayer. Really recommend Nomadic Dinners to food lovers who will appreciate everything being cooked over an open fire in what seems like the wilderness.

Disappointed. The food was the most disappointing part of the experience c the location the setting the forest around were all magical, but paying almost 400£ per couple without any drinks included, was just egregious. Food was basic, nothing interesting meet was down right unstable. I mean I could deal with that if only I didn’t pay the amount we did, we could get an exceptional Omakase menu in Canteal London. They prepared a superb vegan menu, and every meal was mouth-watering! Decoration, service, organisation, mushroom tour, location - everything was 10/10! On arrival, they welcomed us with grilled mushrooms and non-alcoholic drinks and invited us for a mushroom tour in the forest - which was so exciting and knowledgable! The guide was so passionate about mushrooms/fungi that I decided to buy a book about edible mushrooms and learn more :) After the tour, we went to our table, which was beautifully decorated with little pumpkins, candles and tree branches 😍🌿✨ The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Nomadic created the most wonderful bespoke experience for my brand which blew my guests away, we held two events with them this year and plan to host more next year. The first was in the sunny month of August where the team even provided us with sunscreen as we had all forgotten to bring some. It was unfortunately raining for the second but the Nomadic team still ensured the event went ahead without a hitch and had a great wet weather plan already in place. Overpriced Instagram trap! Foraging tour on a dried grass field under full sun at 35 degrees wasn't enjoyable at all, I'm shocked they didn't consider a different approach to this activity due to the heath weave. Lunch was average and included meze, a main course and a dessert. Very small portions considering the pictures they advert on their socials and the price we paid. The lamb was a little undercooked for my preferences and sharing bread and salad with the group of people sitting next to us has been a bit awkward. Is one bowl for each party too much to ask? Except for the welcome drink and a small glass of prosecco drinks weren't included which made paying £100 each very disappointing. The only real "nomadic" experience we had in this place was their stinky toilets. We won't go back.

Food was delicious but portion sizes small. Drinks were way overpriced and very, very limited choice. A can of lager and soft drink was £14! Service was very slow and you have to go to the bar yourself to order drinks - which again was painfullyl slow on a day where the temperature was 35 degrees. Its all hard bench seating on long trestle tables so no intimate dining.. and not elegant for ladies in dresses to leave the table. The woodland setting is lovely but directions to it are lacking - we spent 20 minutes trying to find it even when using the supplied whatthreewords address and Google maps. Just supply the directions! Notwithstanding the pre- dinner foraging walk&talk was interesting and it was a really different dining experience but not really worth the price tag sadly when service is slow, you have to get your own drinks, small portion sizes and the price snd choice of drinks is lacking.

I would highly recommend this unique, magical experience to anyone. Not only was the setting idyllic, the food was incredible. The staff were friendly, attentive and genuinely seemed to love what they do. The foraging walk was excellent, as were the band. We both felt nourished in mind, body and soul - thank you Nomadic Dinners!

What a magical experience! Every single element was perfect, well thought out and just such a delight to experience. From the foraging in the fields with a G&T to the setting in the woods, the food was exceptional, the ambience was perfect, the harp made the evening so chilled and the whole vibe was just amazing. I am so thrilled that I went and took my Mum as a surprise for her Birthday. I can't recommend Nomadic Dinners enough!

Disappointed... I was really looking forward to taking my mum here for her 60th birthday, but unfortunately it did not live up to the expectations set by social media, and is far too much for what it's worth. The foraging experience was interesting, but essentially just a small walk around the nearby area, with a guide telling us about the edible plants, most of which unfortunately did not feature on the meal. The actual meal was high in quantity but of very low quality for the price paid. The main was cold lamb, salad and a few potatoes. We were told the salad was grown on site, but we were not shown this as part of our foraging tour. The table decorations I was really looking forward to after seeing all the pictures on social media, but this was also a let down with just a few branches laid across the table. At the end of the meal we were given shop bought marshmallows, which I would have expected to be home made again based on the price paid and the 'nomadic experience', and some tea which ran out before everyone in the group had had a chance to have some. Overall I would not recommend this experience. The marketing is great but there are much better places to spend your money!

The BEST experience. Seriously amazing. Gemma taught us about foraging before entering the most beautiful bluebell wood I’ve ever seen. If you think you’ve seen bluebell woods, you haven’t - until you’ve seen this! Food and service was amazing. Got home and now online to book the next one, thank you! ❤️

The loveliest experience 😍 Foraging with Rupert was very informative and fascinating as he highlighted everyday leaves and flowers which can be used in cooking. The Bluebell woods were the best I've ever seen. Dinner was perfect 👌🏽 and roasting marshmallows by the fire after with herbal tea to warm us up. The setting and attention to detail was amazing ❤️

What a great experience! Greeted with a cocktail upon arrival followed by a short foraging lesson in the local field and woodland. The woodland is really breathtaking and carpeted with bluebells, and is a lovely setting for your meal. Served on a long hewn wood table, the meal was fantastic and incorporated elements of the edibles you have learned how to forage. 3 courses followed by toasting your own marshmallows over an open fire and foraged herbal tea. Very knowledgable and attentive staff helped to complete what isa genuinely unique and enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend for nature lovers, wild foragers and anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.

We decided on the lunch amongst the bluebells. The experience was just overall breathtaking. The event started with a cocktail, followed by a foraging session by the lovely Gemma. The Nomadic team was incredibly friendly and helpful, the lunch itself was delicious and the view was stunning.

We had a lovely Valentines lunch with nomadic dinners. We started the day with a forage around the grounds with Rights for Weeds which was great, we learnt a lot about foraging. Following that we had an amazing 5 course meal prepared in a teepee. The food was delicious and the setting absolutely stunning. We felt welcomed by all and would definitely recommend the experience!

One of the best dining experiences I've ever been a part of. Everything from the welcome drinks to the food to the decoration had so much thought put into them, and the team were all fantastic. Even the terrible February weather didn't put a dampener on things, with the team making changes to the evening to accommodate it. If you're looking for a special meal out, a unique dining experience, or just want to get back to nature - I cannot recommend Nomadic enough.

we went for valentines meal, which was £150 per person. Nice place ,good idea to get close with lovely nature but, on arrival felt quite unorganised told to arrive at 5pm ( we arrived 4.48 pm ) and left walking around not knowing where to go and no staff came to tell us. it was raining we had to find the place to shelter ourself. Had a nice gin and tonic to welcome us, after 30 mins of milling about. One canape, which was like a dorito with something on top. followed by 4 small courses: soup really nice, scallop nice but only 1 with a bit of garlic butter, venison stew really small portion just a couple of small squares of venison, pudding was nice but again small not much to it. no tea/coffee at the end even though it was a cold night. Really nice setting and well decorated, but just not worth the money. could dine in a nice 5 star resturant for less, and leave feeling full. left feeling hungry which is the first time after we've experienced this after spending £300 on a meal. I'm not saying this to complain, I just feel you could make the whole experience nicer by being more organised when guests arrive and also serving larger portions as its rustic food not fine dinning.

Wonderful experience! I was a bit sceptical when it pop up on my Instagram as an ad. I thought it may be to good to be truth but took a risk and booked a winter feast for me and my husband. I thought it’s quite expensive and closer to date I was worried if we will get the quality for the price. I shouldn’t be worried at all ! The experience was better than I could imagine. We loved an hour of foraging and learnt so much about edible forest plants and mushrooms. Then we head to our feast and it was amazing. We got so much food that I was already struggling to finish my main course. It was cooked right in front of our eyes and chefs were so informative and nice. The food was incredible. We also got a little goody boxes. When we thought it’s over we have been offered a marshmallows to roast them over the fire and some interesting mushroom and birch tea. The whole experience is worth the price. For the 5 course meal and an hour of interesting foraging you can’t complain about the price. Thank you so much everyone at Nomadic for making our Saturday so unique and for the beautiful memories we will have. We will come back in spring before the little one is due ! Joanna & Edd

The experience was great. We really enjoyed the foraging tour and the food was excellent. Great atmosphere and decor. It’s a great getaway from London but it felt too expensive for what it delivered. I didn’t expect the wine to come at an extra charge at the end of the meal.

Cycled past many times looked v nice so decided to pop in for a drink 2 weeks ago. Barmaid v chatty good feel about the place lighting perfect candles on nice background music. You could tell the lady working cared about the business! After this visit we decided to go back last night for a meal. So different no smile or hello when walked in 2 team working just didn’t look happy actually looked like they had fallen out. Sat at table one of them brought menu then we chose a bottle of wine which was nice and came quick. We then sat there 15 mins before getting up and asking if we ordered at the bar or were they coming over.one if them came over and took the order, food came around 30 mins later. The food was ok but pies could have been bigger with more filling. After finishing nobody came and asked if we would like a dessert in the end I had to get up and ask for the bill. We then left feeling v disappointed all round. Such a nice first visit what happened why such a let down. With prices high and pub in a small village out of the way it needs to be good every time not every other for it to survive in this tough environment. Not sure if will come back again 🤔

The Lytton is in a very strange location, slap bang in the middle of a retirement village. The restaurant is very stylish with tastefully panelled walls, decorated in modern grey and beige. We were here for an afternoon tea, sandwiches cakes and cream stones with earl grey tea and a couple of glasses of prosseco. I must admit this wasn't the best afternoon tea I've ever, but it was up there. The service was excellent and very attentive, the prosecco was fresh and fruity good quality. Would recomend the free flowing option. Will definitely eat here again now we have found it.

I have eaten here a couple of times before, but it's been a few years. First, I will say, my parents enjoyed their meals. I ordered the haddock, which was overcooked, and the batter was very oily. The mushy peas had no taste and were very watery. We we given a bit of a discount but it was very disappointing. Friendly service.
