Had my mum's wake here & used the upstairs area. Staff were really friendly & accommodating. Buffet food was amazing. Great atmosphere

Food was outstanding. Super warm welcome from staff when entering. Was a chilly day,.was very nice to see a real wood burning fireplace near the bar when you enter, very cosy. The staff were very friendly, will definitely be back in the summer to visit the beer garden in the back.

I'm so happy with my experience everytime I come here. The food is delicious and my gluten allergy is always well catered for! Most recently I was taken care of by Charlie and she was lovely!

Brilliant service and delicious pies! Sally and Sarah looked after us really well when we visited for dinner last night. Our drink order was taken straight away and arrived promptly. Our waitress was very friendly, cheerful and helpful - we had lots of questions and wanted to swap some items but she didn’t bat an eyelid! The service was paced well - it took a little while for our dishes to arrive but it gave us time to chat and the food was more than worth the wait. A lovely evening.

We've been here many times and rarely been disappointed. On this occasion food was up to the usual standards. The space we hired was perfect as expected. We did have to wait a while for the food though, despite pre-ordering. Nevertheless we'll be back as in general it's very good.

Highly recommend the buttermilk chicken burger with billionaires fries from here. A true hidden gem of Amersham. Staff were lovely and polite with light chatter. Pub outdone themselves with keeping it so clean during opening times! Also, have to mention the lovely young lady with blonde hair and a nose piercing, really outdone herself with her service during my time here - made me feel welcome, ensured I was enjoying my food and overall a great communication/service compared to other waitresses I’ve encountered in Amersham! Would I be back again? Yes! Expect me as a regular as every penny is worth it.

Lovely, cosy pub. Jason managed to secure us a table without any notice. Food was great - Duo of beef was delicious (pink, just how I like it!). To top it all off, it’s dog friendly! Definitely be back to try more of the menu

Lovely Valentines Day meal at The Swan. Always a nice romantic feel here as not overcrowded. Food was very nice although a bit on the expensive side! Excellent table service from Sally who was really helpful in ensuring my wife’s allergy to tomatoes was catered for.

Valentine's Nite tonight was a total disaster our table was situated underneath the stairs and headroom was limited and impossible to move my chair as it was wedged up against the wall The waitress eventually appeared after a 15mn wait to take our order from the set Valentine's menu and announced that the steak had run out I asked for a glass of wine and then and a few minutes later asked me if I would like to order a bottle of wine ?? 50minutes later we were still waiting for the first course which was soup so I spoke to the manager who apologised and said they had customers upstairs who needed serving as well !!??? That seemed to be a problem I asked for our deposit back and we didn't want to pay for our half drunk drinks This was a special nite for us but I feel apologies were useless and probably over used

We had a pleasant evening overall. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their attentiveness throughout the meal, even when things were a little slow to start, was much appreciated. Some dishes were absolutely outstanding – the cheese fondue, gravy, mash, vegetables, and drinks were all top-notch. However, the chicken and calamari were unfortunately quite average. While we enjoyed our visit, it wasn't quite the "wow" experience we were hoping for.

Reunion lunch for a party of 15 (very) old Challoner’s boys (local school). We sat at the long table upstairs and had a delightfully leisurely and unhurried afternoon. Excellent food - not cheap, but good value all the same.

We spent a day in Amersham to soak up the charming atmosphere of the town, and at the end of the main street, we stumbled upon this pub—a true gem! While other places had already closed their kitchens, this one was open and turned out to be an incredible find. The food was fantastic! We had the steak pie and lamb, both cooked to perfection, and finished with the most amazing toffee pudding topped with vanilla ice cream. Every bite was a delight, and the meal was the perfect way to end our day. The cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service made this pub a standout. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Amersham! 🌟

Dined here for dinner 14.1 25, so glad we did, superbly served by Georgia, wonderful food (belly pork and the steak and ale pie) in a lovely restaurant, extremely good service and value for money, thanks for a lovely evening.

Grey food at this restaurant, not really a pub though. Their beer selection was lacking but the food was really good and not too expensive. There was a fire but we were unfortunately not sitting next to it! The toilets needed a bit of TLC

I spent New Year's Eve there, the DJ was definitely phlegmatic, but even the staff could get the party going.

Food relatively ok, but toilets old and not very clean. General cleanliness could definitely be improved. Very cold, raised it with the staff but they weren't able to address it. Good service. Overall not up to the price paid, I don't think we'd be coming back.

We were severed today by Sally, she was brilliant and so was the food, my personal favourite was the scallops!

The pub had a strong odor of urine upon our arrival. The restrooms were quite filthy. It was the Monday between Christmas and New Year, and the place wasn't very crowded. Although the staff was working hard under pressure to provide service, they completely overlooked cleaning the restrooms. The scent of urine was quite noticeable in the establishment.

Pretty cracking pub! The drinks were cold and fresh, and the Christmas wreath was delicious!

I booked christmas 🎄 dinner from the 4 course menu. I booked well in advance and was looking forward to our visit as I spent a lot of money to eat out on the day. On arrival the pub looked lovely but unfortunately, our table was not ready so waited for half an hour while a table was cleaned. We did not receive our rustic breads as mentioned on the Christmas menu and waited a very long time in between courses as it was very busy. Was quite hard to get anyone's attention as they were rushing around. I was quite disappointed with my visit and when my turkey dinner arrived i did not have nice carved slices but small pieces piled on top of my veg etc. For the money spend on eating out I felt it was not as good as it should have been. Quite a lot of money spent but the overall experience was less than perfect which I had expected .

I was not provided with the aperitif I had ordered and paid yin advance. The wine I had ordered was still not delivered when our main course was served and only appeared after I asked for it. The food, though edible, was not meriting the price charged. Overall, not a good experience and I feel financially cheated.

A good place for our lunch yesterday. Seems popular. The atmosphere was good. This was spoiled by the state of the toilets. They need a darn good revamp. The dryer didn't work. There were no hand towels and the decor was falling apart. Shame.

We had a great meal here last night. 4 adults and three kids (6,4&3). Adults had the three course festive menu and the food was delicious. Every course. Kids meals were big portions. The service was very good considering how busy they were. Will revisit!

Marvellous experience - great food, company, service (especially Sally!) and environment!

A lovely place to visit and eat although the vegetarian options were extremely limited, so was disappointed with the lack of options. What I did have, the risotto, was well done and tasty.

Our first time here since moving to the area two years ago. Arrived for Sunday lunch on 1 December without a booking but Emma and Jason the managers gave us a welcome as warm as the log fire. The food and wine were all wonderful and we can’t wait to return to sample more from the menu. My only gripe (and the missing 5th star) is that the part time youth need some hospitality training: the two we encountered couldn’t raise a smile and it felt like one was doing us a favour just bringing us our food. She disappeared without leaving any cutlery and after politely trying to get her attention I gave up and went to find it myself. Despite that, we’ll definitely return to the Swan because this was the best pub restaurant experience we’ve had so far in Buckinghamshire. Thank you 😊 !

£7.60 for a pint of beer and £3.80 for a kids apple juice. What? This is a rural pub, not a swanky central London bar.

We went to the Swan Inn for a Pub Quiz Event and found the staff welcoming, the food delicious and the quiz just loads of fun. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes food, quizes or just great vibes!

Had Beef roast, which was nice but roast potatoes were very small.

Had roast beef and cauliflower cheese. Beef was tough, potatoes dry and hard. Should have sent back cauliflower cheese as there was no cheese. Slow service. Sorry won't be going back.
