Thank you. We celebrated my Dads passing afterwards at The Potters Arms. We booked the Afternoon Tea for the gathering with some vegan options. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon...

Last minute booking for business on a Saturday. The restaurant was absolutely dead, and the room looked like something from faulty towers. Staff had zero character or communication skills. Just avoid, there's a lot of other places that will provide better service and accommodation.

The food was very good overall. The rare steak was not brilliant, and it was very chewy, unfortunately. I dont think it was the cooking ability but rather the quality of meat. The service was slow with only one request if we wanted drinks or to check in on us. Our wait for mains was well over an hour long. We left full and enjoyed our stay as a whole, I hope next time to bump it back up to a 4/5* as the previous trip has been better.

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY I came for a coffee with my daughter and friend who also had a young child. We hadn't even sat down and sadly a local group rather loudly made it clear that babies and young families are not welcome. Sadly we left as we did not feel welcomed at all. The locals need to get a grip. We won't be returning

A very cozy, real English guesthouse/pub where you can enjoy delicious food and an excellent breakfast. The location is beautiful and blissfully quiet.

Simply awful service at this pub. Plus they carpet the local area with illegal flyposters that distract motorists on busy road junctions and which taxpayers' money is wasted on taking down and destroying.

The mains were really poor. We were served gone off fish which smelt rancid, overcooked gammon, roast carrots that were coated with dirt. Shocking end to a bank holiday, would avoid if your friend recommends it.

An early festive dinner, with family. The staff were good, though food was a little over cooked. Especially the sprouts 🤢

First visit to this pub. I will definitely be going back. Fabulous community establishment with village store B&B and great ale. It serves breakfast if you fancy popping in. The selection of food and quality is excellent. Just what a village needs.

Today was our Thirtieth Wedding Anniversary. We decided that rather than go to anywhere we had been before, we would try somewhere new. My wife found and booked the Potter's Arms. It was out of our area and we decided we could have a little trip out. It was a great choice. On arrival we were met by a young lady named Lauren who showed us to our reserved table. That's when life started to get difficult - what to choose from the menu? There were so many choices it was difficult to decide, but I can assure you that whatever you would have chosen, it would have been cooked to perfection. To start with I had Bubble and Squeak with poached egg and Hollandaise sauce. It was like a breakfast immediately before lunch! I followed that with a Steak and Ale pie, for which they kindly swapped the vegetables for me, leaving me with a main of my making. Full to the brim, I had to ask for dessert to be delayed a while. When I did finally feel able to go for it, it was delicious. I had poached pear in a star anise and red wine sugar syrup. It was a great trip to somewhere we had never been before and it was perfect. Lauren looked after us with a delightful "whatever you want" attitude. We have been, we have seen, we will return.

Cycled past many times looked v nice so decided to pop in for a drink 2 weeks ago. Barmaid v chatty good feel about the place lighting perfect candles on nice background music. You could tell the lady working cared about the business! After this visit we decided to go back last night for a meal. So different no smile or hello when walked in 2 team working just didn’t look happy actually looked like they had fallen out. Sat at table one of them brought menu then we chose a bottle of wine which was nice and came quick. We then sat there 15 mins before getting up and asking if we ordered at the bar or were they coming over.one if them came over and took the order, food came around 30 mins later. The food was ok but pies could have been bigger with more filling. After finishing nobody came and asked if we would like a dessert in the end I had to get up and ask for the bill. We then left feeling v disappointed all round. Such a nice first visit what happened why such a let down. With prices high and pub in a small village out of the way it needs to be good every time not every other for it to survive in this tough environment. Not sure if will come back again 🤔

I have eaten here a couple of times before, but it's been a few years. First, I will say, my parents enjoyed their meals. I ordered the haddock, which was overcooked, and the batter was very oily. The mushy peas had no taste and were very watery. We we given a bit of a discount but it was very disappointing. Friendly service.

We have visited Nomadic twice and I am torn on the basis of our experiences. To put it simply, first time was great, second not so. We first visited for Feast Over Fire in the summer which was absolutely superb from start to finish. We couldn’t wait to return and booked the Funghi Feast at the end of October. Unfortunately this time we left disappointed. I can’t fault the food itself, it was delicious and flavourful but the portions were undersized, the kind I would expect in a tasting menu, rather than a standard three course meal. The main course was venison which consisted of three tiny medallions accompanied by one mushroom and an onion, no carbs apart from bread available on the table. I have an average appetite and found it wasn’t enough and not great value for money. We came for 12.30 sitting. As we and other diners were still enjoying drinks and marshmallows around the fire, at 15.30 we were asked to leave quite suddenly by the host (politely and humorously, mind). This was in contrast to the first time and took us by surprise, shall we say. We had contemplated coming in December but this is now doubtful. In summary, great concept, good location, sadly value for money and consistency is lacking.

The Lytton is in a very strange location, slap bang in the middle of a retirement village. The restaurant is very stylish with tastefully panelled walls, decorated in modern grey and beige. We were here for an afternoon tea, sandwiches cakes and cream stones with earl grey tea and a couple of glasses of prosseco. I must admit this wasn't the best afternoon tea I've ever, but it was up there. The service was excellent and very attentive, the prosecco was fresh and fruity good quality. Would recomend the free flowing option. Will definitely eat here again now we have found it.
