Noblett's Fish & Chips in Preston

Great English chippy , proper mushy peas . Fish is always freshly cooked on entry . Wouldn't go anywhere else now I've found this little jewel .

Ordered fish (lightly battered) and chips with peas and tartare sauce for takeaway. Not been to this chippy for a while and they've had a re-fit of the decor Unfortunately the fish and chips weren't very good, the chips were oily and there was a bad aftertaste of over used/cheap cooking oil through the chips and fish which took a day to get rid of the taste. I used to rate this place but think I'll give it a miss from now on.

Staff don't care ,service is by untrained staff ,chips are disgusting verging on burnt worce chips ever iv had straight in the bin will never go there again expensive place to go far better chipshops near by

The foods decent, sometimes the chips are a little anaemic for my liking but the portions are always a decent size. Service can be quite slow but it is only a small shop that gets a fair bit of foot traffic so that's expected - I always try to ring ahead with my order and they will give you a time you can collect, pay on arrival, and means your not standing around waiting

The lady who served me was very kind, having a great knowledge of customisation.. and was super fast.

Great location and great food, seemed a little pricey for fish and chips £20, but it was a large cod. Good views of the lake.

When you get a little older you want value, quality and not huge amounts Noblets lite bites ticks all the boxes The chips remind me of chip in the old days a tiny bit crispy and very tasty the batter on the fish melts in your mouth the perfect crystal white fish is as fresh as you can get and 5 pounds It was plenty for me and my Mrs So get down there and don't tell everyone

I got 2 fish and the middles were still raw as pictured. I started eating and realised it smelt of fish so I left the rest. Attempted to feed it to my cats and they turned their noses up at it so looks like it was off too! Fuming! If I get ill I will be contacting them!

The chips were reheated and were horrible and hard,fish was ok,not been here since it was called the happy haddock,it was brilliant then!!!

Very disappointed, ordered lightly battered fish, pudding chips, portions of gravy and peas, got them home literally 2 min away and all cold, should be piping hot especially the fish if it's just got out of fryer, shan't be going back.

Good portion size but anaemic, dry chips and stale, half buttered barmcakes. Disappointing, after multiple trys, this will probably be our last.

Outstanding food this Friday past. Nice big portion of F&C, and several other items. They didn't have any butter pies in which my Wife wasn't happy about but overall excellent. Recommended. S

Possibly the worst chip shop food i've had. Thought the revamp would have brought the standard of food up. Chips were dry and like carboard and the fish was as dry as a bone.

Probably the best fish and chippy in preston. Fish is amazing. Tastes good. Batter great. Chips just standard chips. Curry sauce good. Sausage okay (it's hard to mess up sausage though) their pies are good. And if you don't feel like having a big chippy you can opt for their "lite" menu

GF fish and chips delicious. Currently closed for a huge refurbishment. Can’t wait till it’s back up and running again!

Fantastic food at a fair price, really quick service and the most glamorous staff I've ever seen in a chip shop. Real mushy peas, plenty of cheese and delicious curry sauce. We're on a 250 mile journey and it was well worth turning off the M6 to get tea at Noblett's.

Quite simply the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Cooked perfectly, great portion size. Seasoned well and served in a cardboard box making it easy to eat from. Wonderful service. Highly recommend

Ordered a chip barm which cost me £2.40 which is good value once I got home I discovered this massive portion! Could easily feed two or maybe three people! Picture doesn’t do it justice there was loads of chips underneath!! Barm was toasted and nice and warm however a little to cooked for my liking! Never had a barm from a chippy/take away that’s been toasted before usually you get that in restaurants! So very pleased! The staff in this place are always so lovely and friendly and always greet you with a smile and always ask how my day has been or how I am ! Amazing place and amazing staff! Every credit to this place xx

Delicious Holland's Meat Pie, Chips and Gravy for lunch

Impeccably clean well staffed and friendly Fish & Chip shop. I was served with newly fried piping hot chips, and a pudding and gravy. The young member of staff was very polite and friendly. I have been coming here for 40 years or more and I'm never disappointed.

This has been my go to chippy for a year now, ever since I moved to fulwood, fantastic place and great service.

First time in years I visited this chipshop wasn't disappointed , friendly service good service , had fish and chips and a children's. meal the chips were lovely and fresh cooked the fish while I waited , it was delicious ,and the price was great , try them and see for yourself

Chip quality is poor, lots of chips that clearly have black bits (eyes) left in, lots of scrappy pieces, small portion and when the chips with black bits and scrappy pieces removed there were hardly any remaining. Expensive but wouldn’t mind if quality was good but it is not. Visited every Saturday tea time for last three weeks and it’s been the same every time - trying other places from now on

Food is very bland Over priced for the quality & taste Never mind how stingy they are with things such as gravy peas ect they charge you extra £1+ if u ask for a little more so u don’t only have 6 chips covered in sauce only been twice as was convenient with work but more fool me for thinking the second time will be better As for the staff nice but sooooo slow

having read the reviews of local eateries decided to give this one a try as the reviews here where good and it was local to my stay. i have to agree with the 5 star reviewers, nice clean place ( no pun intended lol) friendly and efficient staff, good portion sizes and nice quality potatoes used for the chips. i went 4 times in my 15 day stay in preston. many thanks and keep up the good work all at nobletts.

When it's good, it's the best bloody chippy in Preston. But can be a bit inconsistent.

A couple of months ago I posted a review about very rude staff which was true at that time, don't know if the people have changed or if it was just a different shift but because I live right behind a corner from this place, I ordered fish and chips after a night out and I have to say it was really good. The portion was massive, we had two regular portions and they were more like large (which is not a complaint of course) and the fish was really nice. I'm not a big fan of the batter, I usually leave the batter and only eat the fish (which was delicious) but I eventually ate the batter on its own because it was so nice and crispy I couldn't resist. Also the gentleman on the phone was very sweet and cannot complain about anyone being rude to me this time. And to the owner: I apologise for not calling the number, I haven't noticed your response until now.

Last time we purchased fish n chips fish was over cooked chips seemed to be lunch times re heated The lady offered to replace the following week when we next went in but we haven't as yet taken her up on the offer

I've been going here for years as it's my local. Always friendly service, always excellent chips. I'd advise to ring ahead with a pre-order if you can as they get quite busy, though they do accept walk ins too. Kids meals great value compared to other chippys near here too

I'm a huge lover of chicken nuggets, If you're also a lover of nuggets yourself. Then I have to say their the best from here at Noblett's! Their other food here is definitely worth a try to. 😋

Great food visit regularly but if you want to phone your order through, the staff stop answering the phone around 25 mins before closing but say it never rang - this has happened on different visits so get your order in early to avoid disappointment because the fish and chips are great.
