Used to really like this place and unfortunately, our visit was very poor. To me it seems that this restaurant has changed hands as the food quality was not that good. Very small pieces of chicken and not a lot at that, onion bhajis (i think were frozen), nann bread was definitely shop bought and not made fresh and the chicken bhuna was really awful.

Delicious food, one of the best Indian restaurants around. Highly recommended. Service is friendly and prompt Worth a visit Been on numerous occasions

Visited as a group of friends on a Friday evening following a recommendation. A mixed bag in my opinion but not enough positives for me to review higher than average. Service was a little slow, it took me a while to get a waiters eye for a second drink. My Prawn Puri starter was excellent, the remainder of my meal wasn’t great. My main lacked a depth in flavour and wasn’t as spicy as it should have been. Keema Naan is my go to, this was excellent. I prefer chips with my curry over rice (heathen I know), the chips were probably the worst I’ve ever had. Maybe it was a “bad day at the office” for Chef? Expected it to be better.

Had not visited this restaurant in over 10 years, fantastic food service was excellent nothing to much trouble great vegetarian options , we will be back thank you

First time trying here even though I'm been in the area 13 years, me and my other half were going into town but thought we would stay local, went on a Friday night so was worried it would be busy but plenty of tables there and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was quick and very tasty! Whilst there they had plenty of customers into collect so seems a very busy takeaway choice! Drink menu could do with updating as a certain wine wasn't available there anymore but overall extremely happy with our evening and will 100% be back!

Take away excellent curry's 4 x different very good value as well. Will be back next week to try some more of the menu

We have been visiting this restaurant for many years, but have recently had to have takeaways. Each meal has been outstanding; the flavours are amazing. We will certainly continue to frequent this restaurant, and hope to be able to eat in again before too long.

Me and my husband have been visiting Nobannos for a number of years. We have a takeaway every Friday and on occasions dine in. We have been to many other restaurants over time but we consider this restaurant to be the best with exceptional food and service which never waivers. The staff are friendly and always remember you once you have visited them. We have never had a bad meal and will continue to be a customer for many years to come. Ive been going here for years being just rpund the corner from me but not been for a while since it changed management. Got to say its not what it used to be and ive been ill all night since having some dodgy chicken. Safe to say ill not be going back again

I and 4 freinds visited here in december, its somewhete ive been before, its always a bit hit and miss, with the more affluent places surrounding it combined with the big estates the mix is always varied, once quiet can turn very noisy as the local team pile in, resulting in quite a diffrent experience, the takeaway facility needs to be sectioned off as the picker upers tend to mosey on over to speak with folk they recognise eating in the resterant. I have witnessed drunkeness racisim and even violence within this part. The staff are very freindly very helpful and attentive and very professional when dealing with anyone intoxicated. The food is and has been (in my opinion) mediocre,the byriani i had recently had burnt bits of rice and overcooked meat. Other meals ive had there have never been as good as elswhere... This is a shame. Prices are what you would expect from its location. Still, from time to time i shall still attend.

Popped in early evening with my two children. Restaurant was empty but there seemed to be some confusion as to what table could be allocated to us. We ordered and the poppadoms arrived quickly, so did the party of 30 which could have been the reason why the restaurant deliberated where to sit us. The party were fine but very noisy and if I had been forewarned that they were going to descend I may have decided to eat elsewhere. The food cane quickly enough - the Childrens tikka masalas were fine, my vindaloo was bland and so inspired that I had to ask for some green chilli. We asked for the bill and were then told that the car machine wasn’t working. I had to go up to the cash point as I had no cash on me. It would seem that the card machine not working is a regular occurrence and not telling customers before they order equally regular. All in all not a great experience, wish we had gone somewhere else. In the past the take away food has been great but unfortunately on this occasion the restaurant experience was such that they’ve lost my custom.

Have been coming here for years, but have it been for a while. The food remains consistently good. Interesting selection on the menu, and every dish a delight. Excellent service too. A great place to eat out (or takeaway) in South Bristol.

We decided to get a takeaway from here on a Saturday evening, as we only live local we popped in to order. Once we placed our order and sat down for about 5 minutes they brought the bill over so I went to pay only to be informed the card machine doesn’t work so we would need to pay by cash, only problem being we don’t carry cash so had to drive to the cash point to get cash out. It seemed they weren’t informing people before they had their meals that the card machine wasn’t working which could be an issue for some people. It seemed contactless under a certain amount worked but nothing over £30. The food was average, mine was tepid and we only live a 2 minute drive away. Everybody else seemed satisfied but we are all agreed we will go back to our other usual curry house next time.

Party of 10. As always, friendly staff and manager, excellent table service and excellent food. Manager was able to accommodate one person that didn’t like too much spice by suggesting their chosen dish could be made less spicy. Very enjoyable evening.

Pregunté 4 veces por mis papas fritas ya que no estaba comiendo curry (4 años). . . .Los entrantes fueron adecuados después de pedir 6 veces que salga la salsa de menta y luego tener que devolver el cóctel de gambas congeladas.Luego, la Coca-Cola, que era cálida y plana. Vertido de una botella que previamente se había abierto y claramente tenía el precio que se muestra como 1. 00 una botella pero la marca era 2. 00 por medio vaso Ahora teniendo 5 hijos con nosotros querían cobrarnos 20. 00 para cola plana, que al parecer fue nuestra culpa para nuestros hijos con hielo y no beber lo suficientemente rápido.Mi bhuna era Grosse. A las chicas les gustaba el tikka Masala y el naan.El servicio no fue como lo que he experimentado antes. . nuestros platos y la comida estaba fría.También escuchamos rumores de que este lugar está cerrando. Para una noche barata no iría aquí. . . y definitivamente no lo recomendaría para una ocasión especial. Nuestra mesa aunque reservada ni siquiera estaba lista. Es una lástima ya que he estado yendo y viniendo durante 13 años.

La comida era muy buena y el servicio excelente. No tenía sentido por qué solo querían tomar el pago en efectivo de las bebidas, pero tomarían tarjetas bancarias para la comida. Este fue un verdadero escollo y creo que deberían revisar su política ya que pocas personas llevan efectivo en estos días. En general, un gran curry y salida nocturna.

Estábamos visitando Bristol, pero queríamos comer en un lugar alejado del ajetreo y el bullicio de la ciudad. Vimos buenas críticas aquí, así que pruébalo. Reservamos una mesa y llegamos a las 6 p. M. Los sábados, solo había un par de otras mesas ocupadas, pero en aproximadamente media hora se llenó. El personal fue amable y nos ayudó a elegir el menú. La comida era deliciosa y solo hubo una pequeña espera, lo cual era de esperar, ya que también estaban preparando muchos pedidos para llevar. La decoración era moderna y elegante. Pensamos que la música de fondo habría sido buena y no sirvieron cerveza sin alcohol, lo cual fue una lástima. Volveríamos si estuviéramos en la zona de nuevo.

Llegó 7. 30 en un sábado por la noche y estaba aproximadamente un tercio lleno. Nos llevó 15 minutos tomar nuestra orden de comida. Solo tomó 20 minutos para que llegara la comida. Tuve un vegetal jalfreize. El sabor era bueno, pero principalmente era patata, no podía distinguir ninguna otra verdura. MOH pidió pollo tikka jalfreize y dijo que estaba bien. La única vez que nos preguntaron si todo estaba bien fue cuando fui a pagar y, para ser honesto, fue la única vez que alguien pareció sonreír. La comida está bien pero el servicio y la amabilidad lo defraudaron.

I haven't had food from Nobanno for a while and forgot how good it was, I wasn't disappointed we ordered a takeaway and it was delicious, empty plates all round. Such lovely staff too, we'll be visiting again soon.

Fuimos con mi familia por la oferta de 3 platos en un jueves experiencias dos de nosotros queríamos la oferta en el teléfono cuando reserva la mesa y cuando llegamos al restaurante. La comida era promedio. Cuando llegó la cuenta nos cobraron el doble de lo que debería haber sido y, cuando le expliqué que teníamos la oferta para nosotros dos el director era grosero y no volver a calcular la factura. A pesar de que teníamos lo que había en el menú para la oferta. No volveremos aquí de nuevo y dirigir todo el mundo que conozco para evitar! !

He visitado este establecimiento un número de veces que me he pasado 5 años o así y nunca estoy decepcionado en el precio o las especias en la comida. Lo que estoy decepcionado, por cada visita a la fecha, es el hecho de que no utilizan en sus platos paneer a pesar de ser indicada en el menú y en vez sustitución por lo que yo sólo puedo asumir que es queso cheddar. También el servicio en cuanto a rapidez tienes tus bebidas y pedir comida varía en gran medida de donde estás sentado en el restaurante. A pesar de esto, la comida es buena relación calidad-precio y muy sabroso.

We went here while visiting friends in Bristol as it is within walking distance of where they live.The owner Abdel was very friendly and welcoming. Comprehensive choices on the menu. We had papadams with the pickle tray to begin with. The spicy ones were delicious. All four of us choose a different main from the menu. The food came quickly and was evidently freshly prepared. We all agreed that our dishes were delicious and the sides we had were just as good. They had Kingfisher beer and a good house wine, A most enjoyable evening. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It was far better than our local restaurant in Warminster and that is very good.

This is our local and we've been here about 40 times over the last 6 years. It's a great little restaurant, service is always good and the food is always great. They are always helpful with the menu choices and will amend anything we request. We always go in early in the evening. Would 100% recommend.

Been a regular at Nobanno since the days it was called The Raj Palace(17 years ago). Staff are always attentive, pleasant and the food is always top notch. If you like your food spicier ask the staff and they will arrange just how you like it. Tried another dish elsewhere but not on their menu ask the owner he might just oblige you. Bargain on a Thursday with a 3 course at £10.95 and that includes a glass of house wine. They also offer a takeaway with priortised service because your waiting. The place itself is very pleasant and the owner Abel is great and considered a member of the community. The restaurant also host special events like the infamous Indian Elvis night, Wine Tasting, Quiz's and Valentine special's. With regards to the food/service i would be very surprised if you could eat all 3 courses whilst washing down with a few Kingfisher's. If you do fair play. The service is on a whole is 10/10.

This is my local Indian restaurant and it is very nice. Prices are about the same as most other good Indian places but this is closer to home. The service is very good and they will always try and make anything you request even if it's not on the menu. The selection of drinks is good and they are normally quick to get you seated and eating/drinking. My only down side for this restaurant is they don't do delivers. However you can order over the phone and collect.

Picked up a takeaway whilst working overnight in the area. Food was ready at the time stated to collect and was all nice and hot. Compared to local places (Chepstow) the portions here were about 2/3 the size. My Chicken Dhansak had five pieces of chicken in it. The food was all overly greasy and whilst edible, un-differentiated. It was also quite expensive although perhaps that's just me comparing 'country boy' and town prices!We have a couple of other nights to do in this area - their are plenty of other places to try. We won't be using this one again.

Went there last Friday evening at about 7pm and the restaurant was not even half filled. It took about 20mins for someone to take our drink order and then another 10mins for someone to take our food order (we had to ask!!!!). Unfortunately we were silly enough to order starters AND mains ...It took 45mins (!!) for our starters to come out and ANOTHER 45mins for our mains!!!!!!!The food was okay but there was enough staff around so it really shouldn't have taken that long. The service as a whole wasn't great. The waiters aren't rude but aren't really attentive either!!When paying I complaint about the service and very long wait for food but the waiter completely ignored my comment!!!!Never going back!!!!

Been here twice the first time it was just the two of us, so when there was a family gathering of 14, I recommend this place, the family enjoyed it, friendly staff, food amazing all ate together, comes to paying the bill of £200+ and was told by the staff if we were to visit again was told not to bring the children on the weekend!! Not a thank you have a good evening, just don't bring the children on the weekend

Went for a birthday meal with my partner. Friendly staff. My prawn butterfly was overcooked and the batter was odd. The chicken curry was plentiful and not too bad.

This is our local and it's fantastic. The quality, the service and the atmosphere is just right. Definitely recommended if you love Indian food.

This is our local Indian Restaurant and is the only one in the Bishopsworth area. It is a full licensed restaurant and produces some outstanding cuisine. We go here fairly often and have never been disappointed in either the food or the service, they also do a roaring trade in take-always and there is a steady stream of customers for this service. We have taken numerous friends here and they have alway complemented us on our dining choice. Will we go back here if the future, you can bet the popadoms on that.

This is our favourite indian resturant the food is always on point, the very first time we ate here was a few years ago which was amazing also service too.we have been coming here ever since the tikka masala is gorgous my partner orders the prawn chilli fry amazing this place is a must.have not found a better indian restaurant anywhere else ,they do takeaway too perfect.

I, like the other reviewer, am lucky enough to live near Nobannos and not only is the food second to none, the welcome you get ensures a fantastic dining experience. Abel always remembers us and makes sure we get everything we need. The menu is extensive so there is always something for everyone and the portions are generous and nothing is cut back on. The king prawn sag is amazing and full of the prawns unlike some restaurants where you only get a few. Eat here and you won't be disappointed. If you do eat here and like it, please write a review because this restaurant really does deserve good praise.
