It was always fantastic experience here in No.4 Clifton. It is not our first time here, we always come back to this restaurant because there is no one to compare. The food, perfect. Service attentive. The price when comparing to those counterpart from London, so affordable. Please try their dishes out if you are looking for a perfect festive day.

We had our Christmas party at the No.4 Clifton and had a brilliant time. The staff were attentive and helped ensure that everyone had a wonderful evening. Marie in particular was very helpful and responsive when making arrangements. The food and drink were well presented and delicious, paired with a cozy, festive atmosphere in the room. A really delightful Christmas meal, with very friendly and understanding staff. Small portions but really tasty and quality over quantity.

Lush afternoon tea, Zenna and Mabli were very lovely and attentive.

Staff were friendly & helpful, however the food wasn't good at all. This was a Christmas celebration, and we had pre booked our menu selection, however, the food was dryer than the Sahara desert, bland, small in portion size and generally not enjoyable to eat. The hotel in general needs updating, as its very tired & a little shabby. Disappointing & unfortunately, we wouldn't return. As said, the staff were attentive & nice.

We had the most lovely day celebrating our legal wedding at No4 Clifton Village. The staff are professional, friendly, organised and calming - the perfect combination for a wedding venue. The Admiral room was perfect - beautifully decorated and lots of natural light from the big windows! The food was all delicious, decent portions and well presented. The whole day ran very smoothly and we felt well looked after. We, our family and our friends had the best day - I wouldn’t change a thing! Thank you so much to the team who helped in the run up and on the day. Special shout outs to Marie and Henry who got so many compliments from our wedding party! Henry even offered to take our flowers to our night-time venue which was so kind. I’d recommend getting married here to anyone who would like a beautiful, intimate wedding run by lovely people. We had our wedding civil ceremony at No4. Clifton Village last weekend and it was absolutely perfect! Marie was an absolute gem throughout the planning process, always attentive, proactive, and responsive to our emails and questions. On the day itself, Marie, Zenna and Mabli were equally amazing, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that we felt relaxed and happy. The entire team went above and beyond to make our special day unforgettable and they really exude such a warmth and friendliness which made us feel like family. Their attention to detail was impeccable and so many of our guests commented on how lovely the venue was and how smoothly everything went. We couldn't have asked for a more stress-free or enjoyable experience, planning our wedding with Marie and the team was a breeze. Thank you guys sooo much for making our day so special!

My brother and I organised a 90th birthday party for my mum in a private room. My parents and some of their friends/family are quite frail and also have particular tastes in food! Marie (in advance) and Henry (on the day) looked after them and us with great sensitivity and care. When a taxi firm let us down 30 minuted before the party was due to start, they swiftly arranged for my parents to be collected and brought to the restaurant. The food was really delicious, the service flexible and friendly. The venue was a little small, but worked well for our needs. I would recommend with no hesitation.

We had the pleasure of getting married in No.4 Clifton on Saturday, and from start to finish it was incredible. The communication during the lead up was great, and I felt absolutely no stress as everything seemed so easy. The day ran so smoothly, but with no fuss - Henry & the other lovely staff were just so friendly and organised. The decor is beautiful, and the tables were laid out exactly as I wanted and looked gorgeous. The food was so tasty - and it was served so efficiently!! Everyone really enjoyed. It was such a relaxing and intimate wedding and we would recommend this venue to everyone. We were even lucky to see some sun, so we were able to use the courtyard garden which was so nice. Thankyou so much for making our wedding day the most stress-free and enjoyable day we could have imagined! We’re just sad it’s over! A special thanks for being so accommodating to our family with disabilities, and also our little baby nephew. It did not go unnoticed!

It was an artful experience, from the vibrant starters to the satisfying mains, each bite thoughtfully curated. The atmosphere set the perfect tone for a date night—whether it’s a first date or you're with a long-term partner, the cozy, warm ambiance makes it an ideal choice. The service was just as outstanding, with Bobby, Ella, and Zenna making our evening truly unforgettable with their attentiveness and charm. We’ll definitely be coming back, not just for the delicious food, but to explore more of their menu, especially their highly recommended high tea. It’s a spot that deserves more than one visit!

Number 4 Clifton Village is a restaurant not to be overlooked. I know, you are likely saying right now, “It’s a hotel restaurant and hotel restaurants have boring food.” I assure you, the Chef and staff know precisely how to make delicious upscale and beautifully presented food and cocktails. The food was extraordinary wonderful to the point we ate at the restaurant 3 times over the course of 2 days because we could not get enough of it. We would also like to give Amber our gratitude for her impeccable service and kindness.

The perfect spot for our small wedding party. We had a fantastic 3 course dinner here with friends and family after our wedding ceremony. The venue was well presented, the staff were attentive, and everyone said the food was amazing. The garden was also a lovely spot to relax in before/after the meal, and we were able to take some great photos there too. The setting provided a picturesque backdrop for our ceremony and photos, making our special day even more memorable. The food at No 4 was amazing. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious, earning high praise from all our guests. The staff were attentive and ensured everything ran smoothly throughout the event. Overall, No 4 exceeded our expectations in every way. We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and well-managed location for their special day.

This was a special treat for a friends 60th Birthday. We had a very pleasant welcome & the staff were lovely. Unfortunately we were not so impressed with the afternoon tea offering. The sandwiches were particularly dry & the fillings neither generous or tasty & my husband’s sandwich was also made using the crust ! Scones perfectly fine as well the cakes but overall rather disappointing . This was obviously pre prepared in the morning & it showed. Such a shame. I won’t be recommending.

We used the private dining room at No 4 (the Admiral, the bigger one of their two) for a school reunion dinner. There were 22 of us, all in (ahem) our mid 70s and some of us hadn't seen each other for decades! The team at No 4 were all amazing; nothing was too much trouble. It took a lot of preparatory arranging as we were quirky with our diet requirements and we dithered over which dining room to select and then the table layout and the fiddly drinks requests - but Ruby and Henry were patience exemplified and always ready to chat with us or meet us at the venue to take yet another look around. On the night itself, the staff were friendly and charming - and coped with people forgetting what they'd ordered (they had meticulous records of every single person's menu order) and the food was just wonderful. It was a faultless experience and I can't praise everyone highly enough. I would 100% recommend No 4 for a private dining experience that's special and yet also perfectly reasonably priced. Thank you!

This was an absolutely perfect wedding for our family and friends, made magical by the fantastically efficient Ruby very capable and attentive Henry and the rest of the amazing team. Right from the begining of the planning we felt in good hands, the location was perfect, the attention to detail was immaculate, the food was fantastic and the staff were so personable and professional, all the wedding party commented how the staff at No. 4 had really added to our amazing wedding experience. Couldn't recommend it enough on all levels!

No.4 was the perfect place for us to host our small intimate wedding with our closest family and friends. A big thank you to Ruby and the events team for making our day so enjoyable and special. The team did everything they could to help, from the prep right through to the brilliant service on the day. The food was delicious, and we were lucky enough to make use of the wonderful garden too. Fantastic location just a short walk from the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, which made an amazing backdrop for our wedding photos. The newly refurbished venue is stunning and the perfect place to celebrate weddings, parties and more. We would 100% recommend No.4 as a wedding venue and restaurant!

Visited following the renovation and were met with phenomenal service - from a lady who continuously checked in to make sure we had enough tea and coffee - and not-to-be-topped scones, some of which we even managed to box up and take home afterwards. A new approach to the coffee would be appreciated as it tended to luke-warm as opposed to hot, but the overall experience was great and would highly recommend. 😁👍

We threw a little afternoon tea baby shower for our friend at No4. The chicken truffle sandwich and brownie was delicious. We were served by Lily and she was incredibly helpful and polite to all of our requests and kept checking on us regularly and made our experience all the more worthwhile.

Afternoon tea to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we got married at No4 six years ago. Service and quality was excellent. A big thank you to Amber for her friendly nature and attentiveness. All in all a lovely afternoon.

A brilliant time and experience at this restaurant. We were very well looked after by Zenna throughout our time there and the food was beautiful, possibly the best meal I’ve had. I would highly recommend the spring gnocchi and peanut parfait for dessert, and fellow diners recommended the lamb and monkfish for mains.

We spent a Sunday here for an afternoon tea for which we had a voucher as a gift. We didn’t realise until after we left that they failed to serve us the champagne that was part of the deal, for which my husband had paid an extra £14 (He had treated myself and my friend, so wasn't present himself). The service was good aside from this, but it tarnished the experience when discovering later that we'd missed out. Rather poor of them we thought. The food itself and atmosphere were both nice enough but not what I would describe as special, if that's what you are hoping for, but of course enjoyable.

Ate here last week to check out their new look and menu! It’s so pretty inside! The team were so friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. The peanut butter parfait dessert was just sublime!!

Went for a girly dinner and it was amazing! We ordered a variety of dishes which were all delicious - the spring gnocchi was the star of the show. Would def recommend the cocktails too, Bobby on the bar is a genius! Passionfruit mojito was particularly good. Service from Zenna and Tabby was flawless too - the staff really made the experience special. Will definitely come back.

Went to No. 4 to try out their new menu and see the newly refurbished dining space. Both were a joy to experience. The food was some of the best I have had in a long time. The spinach and ricotta gnocchi in particular was spectacular, the chefs Fabio and Connor and the rest of the team have done a fantastic job. The front of house staff were also very friendly and accommodating, Zenna looked after us all evening and was a great host.

Just experienced the new menu at No.4 Clifton Village and what a wonderful evening. The food was very good and partnered well with some nice wines. The cocktails were good, specially their spin on a Margherita, definitely worth trying. The team were very welcoming, friendly and can see how excited they are to introduce the new menu along side the recently renovated interior which has been done to a high standard. I've been there for a corporate dinner and also for afternoon tea. They absolutely delivered both times.

We were disappointed when we were seated in a small soulless room with a bar . Basic wooden table and chairs , not comfortable at all . The sandwiches were average but I have to say that the scones were very good . Overall not the most enjoyable experience .

We had our INTIMATE WEDDING here at No.4 and it was truly and honestly the most wonderful experience! The team at No.4 are amazing and their attention to detail, their warmth, their hospitality, the AMAZING good quality food was superb. As a couple (and our guests) we only have praises for the team at No.4, we would recommend anyone wanting to host their wedding to consider doing so there. We booked No 4 for my friends baby shower. The Admiral room was perfect for this, so pretty and perfectly decorated. The building is gorgeous and in the heart of Clifton village. We booked the afternoon tea which was again beautifully presented and the selection of Sandwiches and cakes were delicious, especially the homemade scones. Compared to other venues in the area the price was really competitive and based on a minimum spend which was easy to reach with 16 guests. The staff were so friendly and could do enough to help us. A very underwhelming afternoon tea with bland food, that cost far too much for what it was. The service was good when they were there but long periods with no one in the room, which lacked decoration and atmosphere.

Today was the second time I attempted to book afternoon tea at the Hotel (which is regularly advertised outside their premises). My husband is celebrating his 70th Birthday over the August BH and we thought it would be nice to celebrate with family, hence we went into the hotel to book for afternoon tea for BH Monday. The receptionist truthfully seemed uninterested and when I tried to find out a little more as to the price of afternoon tea per head together with what it consisted of, she seemed quite non plussed and told us to ring to book? We were at the hotel for that very reason!! As it seemed information was less than forthcoming I asked if she coud email us information - that has not been forthcoming either. Given it is Friday tomorrow and we wanted to invite guests for Monday we needed to book and commit numbers, particularly accommodation and such. As a result of her disinterest The Rodney Hotel has lost several hundred pounds of what would have been a family reunuion. Needless to say we have now booked the Ivy. Poor beyond words! Afternoon tea wasn’t very good value for money. For £18 per head, you get one scone, a few bite size cakes and three plain finger sandwiches each. I’ve had far better quality & quantity elsewhere. As this was a birthday treat, it was a little underwhelming. The redeeming feature was the pretty garden and very attentive and lovely staff. If the afternoon tea was better, this would have been a far greater experience.

We had our private wedding dinner here and it was absolutely perfect for us. We had a very small wedding centred around family and good food, and the No. 4 didn't disappoint with the food! The staff were extremely kind and accommodating, ensuring everyone had drinks and were happy with everything they had. Our private dining room was lovely and they allowed us to bring in our own table decorations the day before, which the staff kindly set up for us before we got there. We would definitely recommend the No.4 for an event or just a meal.

Afternoon tea for four. Booked this a while ago. Enjoyed the food and company, and the staff were really good. The only slight downside was the room. It has no views and is not a welcoming room. Enjoyed the afternoon
