No.35 in Canterbury

We came here on mother's day and had a full English. It was one of the best full English breakfasts I've ever had! From what I saw a lot of their produce is locally sourced too which I love! Their coffee is absolutely delicious!! The staff were polite and helpful, I would definitely recommend!!

Pleasant seating area to rear of cafe, plus there is some outside courtyard seating. Friendly efficient staff. Menu has a fair choice of lunchtime food, we enjoyed the bagels (one smashed avocado, one mushroom and cheese). We didn't have time for desserts but I think there were some nice cakes on offer.

Have made this our favourite go to place when in Canterbury, we are not Vegans but really like the choice of food there. Their cakes are so flavoursome and the cooked breakfast is second to none. Pleasant staff and bright and modern decor. Don't take our word for it, just try it for yourself.

Had to come into Canterbury for a meeting today and stopped in at café no 35. Wow best Eggs Florentine I’ve had in years. If there wasn’t other people in there I may have licked the plate clean !

No 35 was kind enough to allow a big group of us with kids in tow use the upstairs function room for a few hours for our annual meet up . They supplied a wonderful spread of wraps, sandwiches, frittatas and chips with dips and bits , which was absolutely delicious. They catered for meat eaters, veggies and vegans . The staff where really attentive and kind and brought our drinks to us as we ordered. The price was highly reasonable and I can wholeheartedly recommend Anna and her staff whether you are coming in for a coffee and a bite or need a function room and catering. We went into this cafe because the cafe next door was really busy and we didn't want to wait. BOY, OH BOY am the glad we did. As soon as we walked in the ambiance was pleasant and cosy. On inspection of the menu I was really pleased to find that me and my recently acquired dietary intolerances were catered for - caffeine free drinks, non dairy milks and gluten free bread. I was very happy I could actually order a meal without any compromises and be able to eat it without wondering if I would suffer any consequences resulting from the compromises......Yipee!! The food and driinks came quickly, it was hot, presented nicely and by a waitress who was efficient with a pleasant tableside manner. I cannot praise praise this establishment enough and I am so chuffed that I found it by 'happy accident'

Absolutely shocking service, ordered the fried breakfast and the breakfast stack, was then told that the sausages had only just arrived in from the supplier so we could either wait 25 minutes and have the sausages or have extra bacon, so we said we would wait as we wanted sausages, 30 minutes later our breakfast was put on the table but with no sausages, when we complained we were then told we could either wait another 10 minutes or they would give us a big discount, which turned out to be a laughable 10% (£1). So we left and they had to bin breakfast

I discovered this cafe today and am so glad I did. It looks quite small from the outside, but opens up with a load of tables out back and in their courtyard. I have a number of food intollerances, but they were fine with them. If you’re DF / GF they have a number of options. Staff were really nice, food came quickly, and the standard breakfast is only £10. But the thing I loved the most is that the vast majority of their ingredients are from local producers, so you know you’re eating good stuff.

What a great little find this lovely cafe was. We were drawn in by noticing the Gluten Free options on the sign outside. I always struggle to find somewhere to eat when out so I was so pleased to find somewhere. We ordered smashed avocado and bacon on GF toast and Breakfast no 35. The GF toast was AMAZING and I felt like I wasn’t missing out. My partners breakfast no 35 was HUGE and was well worth the money. As we were leaving we noticed GF cakes so we made a trip back at the end of the day for coffee and cake which didn’t disappoint. Worth the 2 hour drive just for the food !!! The staff were also very friendly.

Visited Cafe 35 for a late lunch. The attractive courtyard seemed the ideal place to sit on a warm day. When we arrivedt four out of five tables in the courtyard had not been cleared and half the food seemed to have been left on the plates. When we left nearly two hours later, only one of four tables had been cleared in order to accomodate another customer! We had to find someone to take our order as they seemed very short staffed. When we tried to order we found a number of things were off the menu. Finally we decided on a baggle with salmon and cream cheese, supposedly with pickles and dill - it came with two slivers of cucumber and chopped chives. The other dish ordered was popcorn shrimp served with avocado, dressing and slaw. The amount of dressing was miniscule and the slaw was missing. Apparently they had run out but had not replaced it with anything. The shrimp had been so over cooked it was completely dry and tough and flavourless. The corn could have broken a tooth. However, when pointed out to the lovely waiter, he not only gave an appology, but took the price of the shrimp meal off of the bill. To end on a very positive note however, they make the best milkshakes in Canterbury!

We came to the restaurant today with a large group of friends for lunch. Unfortunately an elderly gentleman in the group was taken ill. The staff were wonderful making sure he was helped down stairs to sit outside in the air and given a glass of water. They were very kind and attentive, even bringing a chair to the end of the road so he could sit down while waiting for my husband to bring his car to take him home. The gentleman recovered very quickly once back home thanks to their swift action. Many thanks to all the staff who helped us today, you were wonderful!
