Awesome service and amazing food and hot chocolates. Went above and beyond with service and food was amazing - hot chocolate was also wonderful

We’ve visited many times and whilst the food is good, the service isn’t. It’s unbelievably slow, whilst packed with staff but they are passive aggressive, full of attitude and generally unpleasant which of course makes the experience unpleasant and very disappointing. They really need to do a course in customer service. It’s also very expensive and overpriced. Sadly won’t be going again - however good the food is, it isn’t worth the staff. And this is for take out.

Popped in for a drink and a panini and thought it was a lovely cafe with very friendly staff and efficient service. Seating outside at the back and front so clearly must be popular with the locals 🤔 Would recommend

The food is delicious here. It is genuine, good food. It tastes fresh and is great quality. The cherry tomatoes on the side of an avocado on sour dough toast were beautiful. They were an incredibly rich, tomatoey flavour that is difficult to find in England. The staff are always very friendly and the service is quick despite how busy the cafe becomes. A slight criticism may be the noise. On a busy weekend it can be loud, but there are options to sit outside away from this. I also find it off-putting that pastries are stored where people talk over the county to order. If this changed I would be more compelled to buy them as they look very tasty. Overall, this is a fantastic spot that I would highly recommend.

Amazing coffee— the best I’ve had in WB. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs (my partner is gluten free). The orange juice is freshly made on site and the food was delicious. Thank you, number 8. We will be back soon I hope!

This is a nice little cafe with a variety of good food options to meet diverse dietary requirements. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. I had the veggie roll (or a cob in Nottingham). I was delighted by the sweet and tangy tomato sauce inside that came as a surprise. I particularly liked the halloumi and egg that was slightly charred for what complimented the comforting flavour that was evenly broken up by the sauce. I was not a fan of the mushroom, but that’s more of a personal preference towards mushrooms! The venue itself is pretty and there are seats available indoors or outside to suit your wants. As well as cooked food there are pastries that looked great! However, I didn’t have the opportunity to taste these as I was slightly put off by them being displayed above the counter where people ordered. If there was a more appropriate position away from where people speak over them I would’ve loved to order one! This is consequently why I rated the experience 4 and not 5/5! Nevertheless, this was a good experience. I would gladly come again but in considering the slightly above average prices this would be a treat for me.

Food is delicious and always a good variety. The staff are so friendly and helpful. All the food in the counters are labelled with full allergen information which is so helpful and staff are knowledgeable and able to help with any further allergy requests which is such peace of mind. Lovely independent cafe in West Bridgford No.8 Delicatessen This place is perfect for relaxing and chilling out with friends!! We feel welcomed by the friendly staffs ☕️ Iced coffee and food were all tasty, however, I love the cinnamon monster the most !! It’s full of sugar 😍 just like the sugar donut my favourite in HK ⭐️ I would definitely recommend this coffee shop if you go to West Bridgford

A delicious way to spend a sunny Sunday morning. We sat outside, watching the world go by as we enjoyed our tasty meals ,followed later by coffee and cakes.Highly recommend.

A lovely independent cafe with friendly staff which makes a nice change from the ‘chain’ coffee shops nearby. Coffee is great - bought a bag of the beans to take home. We enjoyed our panini and shared a very jammy doughnut! The courtyard at the back (which I only discovered after the first lockdown) is a bonus as there’s only a small seating area inside. Will be visiting again soon.

Stuffy pretentious service. Have been here several times, and have gone back to give them the benefit of the doubt despite poor service on each occasion. Saturday is the last time I will visit. Whilst I understand various establishments have their own rules around covid, and I am completely supportive and understanding of this, I was astonished once I’d ordered to be asked to wait outside. Why should I stand outside when people are inside drinking and eating, why should I stand outside when numerous people are queuing behind me? Why should I stand outside when those in front of me had ordered and were allowed to stand inside? Completely inconsistent in their approach. Please stand under a sun umbrella in the rain with next doors air con/vent blowing in your face. Absolutely appalling. Not dog friendly either. Get with the times people.

I adore this place and always come here when I can . Either for a quick bite to eat of a nice sit in / outside lunch . With the super friendly staff lovely food ( all made freshly ) and really good coffee you can’t go wrong. Can’t recommend this place enough and how important it is to support local ! Must go for a nice chilled break .

We stopped here for coffee and a late breakfast. They have tables out the back which were under cover which was lucky as it was pouring with rain! Very nice coffee and I had an egg in a brioche bun, warm and delicious. Very pleasant surroundings and helpful staff.

I have been coming to No 8 since it opened and have always enjoyed the drinks and food. During the pandemic they have continued to offer takeaways and table service when allowed. The place feels very safe and well organised and the team have continued to be helpful and friendly. The coffee is great and food wonderful. I felt so happy to be back sitting outside watching the world go by yesterday. Well done to No 8 team for such great service over the last year.

They are so friendly - I felt like I’d made a mate within minutes. Top quality food - delicious range of ingredients, it was hard to choose. I went for a breakfast cob. Normally, I avoid sausages (you never know what you’re gonna get), but this sausage, egg & bacon one was perfect. Every mouthful a joy. The bacon nice & thin & crispy, the bread light & great texture. Coffee was lush & I had a slice of lemon cake too. Just tasted perfect & none of the food was too heavy or stodgy - I felt pleasantly full, not stuffed & still wasn’t hungry 6 hours later! If I lived closer, I’d be there all the time 👌🏽

Ambos entendemos que este tipo de pan es masticable. Pero este era un nivel diferente, después de un par de bocados, le dolía la mandíbula.Lo recomendaría para la comida, pero una bebida fuera sería un buen grito.

En serio, no 8: traiga pasteles caseros a precios razonables y dé a West Bridgford algo para celebrar.

Great coffee, wonderful sandwiches and very nice staff. As it is a deli there is sometimes a bit of a wait but worth it. Great to sit outside in the summer and watch the world go by, or out back in the little courtyard. One of the guys there even gives our dogs a treat when we stop for a coffee when out walking. Dogs outside only.

Ahora, un gran café, suelo tomar un café, pero hoy disfruté un delicioso desayuno con mi hija. El menú del desayuno es variado y tuve su maravilloso pan de plátano con fruta fresca y almendras tostadas. Mi hija tenía huevos Benedict con salmón ahumado, con los huevos perfectamente cocinados y zumo de naranja natural. Claramente popular entre los lugareños, hay una selección de asientos tanto dentro como fuera, con un hermoso patio trasero también. El mostrador de delicatessen también fue muy tentador. Definitivamente regresaré.

Pensamos que teníamos mucho tiempo para disfrutar del café y los pasteles en el agradable patio trasero. No tan. Llevamos nuestros pasteles / repostería y esperamos nuestros cafés. Después de 10 minutos entré para descubrir el problema. Luego me dijeron que los sacarían. Después de otros 5 minutos, mi compañero entró, claramente habían olvidado nuestro pedido. Se ofreció un reembolso, pero en ese momento necesitábamos nuestros refrigerios y no teníamos tiempo para ir a ningún otro lado. El café, cuando lo sacó mi compañero, estaba tibia. El panecillo de canela estaba seco, pero, ¡oh! Alegría, el dolor en el chocolate estaba bien. Lo menos que pudieron haber hecho, habiéndonos olvidado de nosotros, fue darnos nuestra orden y recuperar nuestro dinero.

Nice staff and a fresh selection of deli food. I usually have the homemade coronation chicken with mango on baguette or ciabatta and hits the spot every time! Creamy lattes, rich americanos and fresh orange juices galore.

Mi panini estaba cubierto de harina en exceso que no era agradable y las salchichas en el interior eran para mí no lo suficientemente cocinados y prácticamente frío, no es un buen sabor en absoluto. El tocino también estaba muy poco hecha! ! , ¿quién quiere comer grasa blanca? ? . El café fue la gracia salvadora de un desayuno desagradable.

I missed the place while it was getting refurbed, and was keen to try out the new place. So great news they have tough Mary’s pastries which are great on the down side the guy who was on the coffee machine, clearly he was either new or just bad at making latte. My large cup had about 3 sips worth of coffee the rest was foam. Come on it ain’t that hard, done make us go to Costa!

Food is always really nice. Space is limited for eating inside but if the weather is fit the kerbside tables have a pleasant outlook and to the rear there is plenty more open air tables to enjoy a coffee or snack. Staff always pleasant.

I work nearby but we've been using NO 8 for years. The quality of the goods is excellent and you can even get a salad or sandwich for lunch. Frankly i think it's unmatched in the Nottingham area

Been there several times to purchase different foods. You know? Your prices are just too high for the quality of food you think you are selling. I know, everybody loves you in West Bridgford.

I'm lucky enough to live around the corner from no 8, so I use it quite frequently. I'm particularly fond of the quality of the bread and how generous the staff are with the fillings. Normally I get embarrassed and stop asking for more, though I'm sure they'd keep shoving them in. Their coffees great, the cakes and sweet treats are good too (probably from homemade in town as I've come across the same stuff before). It's hard to pick a fault beyond it being so popular causing the wait time to be a bit more than you'd like and the panini always run out. All the stuff for sale not just to stick in a sandwich is of the best quality Nd the cheese and meat section if the deli is excellent. As good as it gets really.

Omg! This is the best place I've ever been too. When you go to like cafe Nero or Costa and get a panini it's always disappointing and over priced. The panini I had was literally full and it's was so enjoyable and it wasn't expensive. I got drink massive panini and crisps for £4.80 and like it was worth every penny. I'm actually full. 10/10 would go again

Went for a family lunch and they were very busy so expected a long wait however I was wrong. Each of the staff served their customers brilliantly and not in a rushed manner. Our food was prepared fresh and was delicious, and we all agreed it was good value for money. Will be going back to try something else in their enormous menu.

We literally (along with our staff) use No 8 dozens of times each week!The food is outstanding and we would not question it at all... even the taste of a simple ham and cheese roll is delicious!Although it does not put us off (and is the reason why we still give it five stars!) we would wish that service was a bit quicker... even sometimes (because we love a good coffee and they do an excellent take away coffee!) it can be a bit slow... given that we are in a fast paced business we want to pop in grab their awesome coffee and a roll and their delicious cakes/ slices and come away again... but occasionally we are put off but of the somewhat slower service than is ideal.That said, we continue to be loyal customer and love the food and coffee :) and would encourage any one in the Local Area to go to Number 8! :) x

In the area for the day to attend a Football Match, I was attracted to No 8, initially by the TripAdvisor reviews and subsequently, the website. A reasonable walk from the ground, but on a sunny lunchtime, I was well rewarded. There is a superb choice of breads and fillings together with more complex dishes, excellent coffee and interesting cake choices. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff and fair prices made for a rewarding experience. On the last day of October I was even able to sit outside in the sunshine. Highly recommended.

You could easily spend a fortune here. Beautifully prepared take out of all descriptions, great deli, and fab coffee, plus their own fruit and veg on sale next door

Very good sandwiches with infinite variety of fillings. The staff is very nice and it has a lovely little back garden with tables! (bonus point for allowing dogs inside!) :DVery authentic and Mediterranean feel.

I've had lunch there many times. They almost do everything from a simple cheese baguette to a yummy olive ciabatta with goats cheese, olives, red onion marmalade and rocket leafs.They have a great choice of organic and non organic soft drinks. Also hot drinks and lovely cakes and biscuits to choose from. Inside seating space is limited but outside seating at both, front and rear side of the building is great.

Always a very nice sandwich and a good cup of coffee. The is no end to the combination of sandwich fillings you can have. The staff are friendly too.

I eat / have sandwiches here regularly and have done since it opened, but today we tried their picnic for the cricket. It was fabulous - great sarnies, samosas, cheese and biscuits, strawberries with cream, cake etc for just over £16 a head and all delivered down to the ground for 1pm in lovely No8 hessian bags. We placed our order months ago (they get booked up well in advance) and I would definitely recommend it. Much easier than a supermarket dash to the pop-up Waitrose and delicious food that lasted all day.Top tip? Take your own coolbox / bag and transfer the No8 lunch into there to save it getting warm as the day rolls on.

A constant coffee stop for us on Tuesday and Sunday mornings, No 8 has a brilliant range of cheese, cured meats, wines, breads and more. Really friendly staff who are genuinely there to help completes a great retail experience.

I came here with my family for a quick lunch, we all had sandwiches made exactly to our preferences and coffee that was fit for an Italian! Certainly a great place to visit.

I visited yesterday for the first time and asked if they had any bread from Hambleton Bakery. The manageress pointed to two loaves on the counter. They didn't look like Hambleton products. They had a label pinned on one loaf with the actual name of the bakery, not Hambleton. I mentioned this to another worker who then told the one who misinformed me. She became stony faced prompting the worker to say that they would alter the label. Surely the truth should have been considered.

The service industry in WB is all about serving the snob factor and in doing so providing poor value for money and questionable quality. This is evidenced by several establishments which serve pint sized portions of naff food in environments full of screaming kids and with the promise of a large bill to look forward to where a % is added for the non existent service at the end of it all... This place is pleasing in exception to some of those features but not others. I've been here a few times in the distant past for deli items, all of which are pretty reasonably priced and the selection reasonable. Breads are good, cheeses are good and the meats especially pastrami tasty and good value... Last time we went there a couple of weeks ago we ordered some items which were fine although not exceptional however unfortunately were served by an incredibly rude man who took my order for salami, sliced that salami, put it on a shelf behind the counter, and then walked just off, leaving me wondering what was going on... On the basis of this and the range available I would say If you have a choice then go to delilah instead :)
