A lovely pub perfect for all occasions! Celebrated my birthday here last week and was really pleased with the service. Katy, Paula and Maya were especially lovely and accommodating to my whole family. Maya served us all night and was very helpful and friendly. I really appreciated Katy and Maya’s help with bringing out my birthday cake! The food is lovely, drinks are great and reasonably priced!

Just called in for a drink. Wouldn't make a special effort to visit. Comfortable seating areas inside and out but a little tired and dated.

Popped in for lunch in the sun, food was amazing and the manager recommended us some amazing cocktails too! Will be back for sure

The Apple Tree is always an amazing place to visit, the staff are super friendly and the food is delicious, it’s not often I write reviews but this place deserves 5 starts all around, I would recommend the steak sandwich or the Scampi and Chips is always my personal favourite.

Amazing! Food was the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Everywhere was so clean - no sticky tables, or menu’s. Cutlery was spotless. Atmosphere was lovely, relaxed, and not killed by disco volume music that makes conversation impossible. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I will definitely visit again! Thank you

The Avocado and Mixed Grain Salad,was more like a lettuce salad I even got the ends of the lettuce stalk, and a very tiny, thin slice of a twelfth of an avocado that I had to hunt for, the so called grains were more like leftovers from someone's plate and the quantity was minute.Very disappointed.

Delicious food, great atmosphere and a lovely team, definitely coming back again soon.

This is the 2nd & LAST time I've experienced poor service, waiting time & quality of food. It took 49mins from ordering to receive our food. The lasagne was burnt to + bottom, the bass was not appetising small quantiy, the steak pie filling was hard along with the pastry. Our conclusion was the meals had been sitting under heat lamps for longer than necessary. Minimal staff, although the guy with the blonde ponytail seemed to be the only staff with pace. I have now unistalled the app & in future we will bypas for The Nottingham Knight!!

We came in for a lovely Sunday roast at the weekend, we’ve eaten here regularly and always had a good experience, Pete behind the bar was lovely and always gives friendly service. Would definitely recommend for a local pub if your in the area ☺️

We've eaten here several times recently while visiting family in the area. The food has been delicious. There's a good choice of well kept cask ales, and a decent range of wines by the glass. The most important thing here though is the team. Everyone who we've dealt with has been friendly and helpful, and they all seem to genuinely understand good customer service.

Food came quickly because it wasn’t freshly cooked. Place felt cold, and service was variable. Didn’t eat most of my food as it tasted stale

The atmosphere is lovely with the fireplaces, the food is good and the set lunch menu is very reasonably priced and the portion sizes are good too! I have taken my newborn twice and it is relaxing and comfortable to bring him and feed him there.

My wife booked a table for Sunday Feb 16 at a specific location where we liked to eat our food,on arrival at 12.30pm the location where we had booked our table had been blocked off for another party at 1pm!!!!!!.We were ushered to a different location without any apologies,we moved from this location as you were in range of the cold draft comming through the double doors when a new customer arrived.As for the food,it was luke warm,there were a few peas in a bed of cabbage,along with a portion of red cabbage! Carrots as mentioned on the menu failed to turn up,my husband only eats carrots & peas.All in all a complete waist of time & money.

Came for lunch this week and the food was lovely. I had lasagne and my partner had the hunters chicken. Everything was superb. The members of staff are super friendly and welcoming.Highly recommend and will definitely be back 😊

Once again a great meal and family feel at the Apple Tree, When visiting family we always make sure we drop by for some food and are always treated fantastically. Peter was amazing as normal and always made us feel welcomed.

First time in there today,went in on the iff chance, had a wonder Sunday lunch slow cook beef ribs with all the trimmings,excellent value,service First class made us feel very welcome. We will be coming back thank you

The Apple Tree is an absolute gem! My friends and I stopped by for an evening meal, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Pete, our server, made us feel instantly at home with his warm and friendly manner. Not only did he ensure all our needs were met, but he went above and beyond in a way that completely took us by surprise. After overhearing that we were celebrating a friend’s birthday, Pete discreetly arranged for a special dessert platter and even rallied the pub staff to sing "Happy Birthday," creating a moment we’ll never forget. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was cosy and inviting, and Pete’s incredible service made the whole evening extra special. If you're looking for a place where great food and standout service come together, The Apple Tree is the place to be. Highly recommend!

I thought the food was very nice the lady that brought the food to the table was very pleasant ...also the young chap who served us at the bar think he was in training was a lovely pleasant young man with great customer service skills so sure to be an asset to the team 👍 keep up the good work guys

Booked a table at The Apple Tree, Compton Acres for Christmas dinner. We were a group of 10 adults and a 4 year old. Arrived 15 minutes before our booking time but they were able to seat us immediately if we wanted, we did. The food was lovely, served hot with little waiting time. My only issue was I did not get any stuffing or pigs in blankets but I'm sure if I had pointed it out, they would have got them for me. We had 3 courses and there was ample food on the plate even without these 2 items. Very friendly, helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble and the price for a 3 course Christmas meal was reasonable. Would definitely return not only for Christmas dinner but also if we decide to go out to eat.

Well what can I say about this place’ It’s absolutely spot on with food drink and most of all friendly staff Katie the landlady goes that extra mile to make everyone’s meal and day special Christmas breakfast with Santa was brilliant, the children loved everything about it and the breakfast was great The staff and everyone down there is an awesome atmosphere with a very cosy setting and especially the open fire Luke, Pete and Katie and all the gang are just amazing It’s our go to every week Thanks guys keep up with what you’re doing you guys deserve a special Christmas.

Good old traditional and friendly pub. The pub quiz was on, which was nice to see, so many different generations were taking part. Atmosphere was lovely. Customer Service is polite, friendly, and welcoming.

We used to visit here once or twice a week many years ago, then children came along. Now they’re older we decided to visit again. It’s still a really nice pub, gorgeous open fire and festive Christmas decorations. Only downside was being sat by a side door, which let in cold air each time someone walked through. With two other doors it should ideally be locked to keep the heat in. Everything else was spot on though. Great place to go for a meal.

Me and my wife came in for a lovely meal and drinks Was made to feel very welcome by a young man, I believe his name was Pete. Seemed very knowledgeable about the vegetarian options on the menu as my wife doesn't eat meat. Beer seems well looked after. Some of the best service by Pete And just a lovely pub Will definitely be back

Had 2 main courses & a couple of beers & coffee. Lovely clean & cosy pub Staff were welcoming & friendly. Attentive service & food was really nice (we had steak pie). Nice ambience & fellow pub goers seemed happy. I’d def return again Locals are very lucky to have this as their local!

45 minutes for two nachos starters to arrive, and only after we gave staff a reminder. Starters were poor and main courses were average at best. Shame because the atmosphere and comfort was good.

The place was about empty but they are so short staffed they were running around like crazy. It took nearly an hour to get our food. I don't expect fast food but also know this place is chain and don't make everything from scratch. I came here after a similar experience a few years ago to see if things had improved. They haven't. Food was nice and it was reasonably priced.

I have been coming to The Apple Tree for many years now. I love this pub! The staff are fantastic and are a huge part of why I come back time and time again. Katy is a fantastic landlady who really cares about the guests that come through the doors and the experience that they receive. I visit solo and with family and friends for both food and drinks and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal, portion sizes are great and value for money is excellent. The Apple Tree is an asset to the area and I will certainly be visiting for many more years to come

He was quick to address the problem and ensured that our meal was rectified promptly. His positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond truly enhanced our dining experience. Pete’s customer service was top-notch, and I can’t thank him enough for making our visit so enjoyable. We visited this pub restaurant to celebrate my partner’s birthday. We arrived at 20.00 which I thought may be too late to be served food but we were directed to a table where we chose our food. The staff asked about any food allergies either of us have and so we told them what I can’t eat. We had cheesy garlic ciabatta for a starter with me having rump steak and my partner having a mixed grill. Both were served with crispy fried onions, chips, tomato, mushrooms and peas. Our food was cooked to perfection and we had a wonderful evening. I was especially impressed when our food arrived at the table it was marked with little flags to indicate I have food allergies so to avoid cross contamination, it is the first time I’d seen this and was therefore rather impressed.

I was over charged and the staff member refused to do anything to fix the issue. Can not state how rude he was about it. I will never be returning.

Thank you to Peter who look after our party during a very sensitive wake. Highly recommend. Also loved the beer battered mushrooms. They were a hit!

Just wanted to say the guy at the bar idk his name but short hair a bit shy but really sound guy I bought a drink and then he showed me a table and where I could charge my phone really relaxed and just normal didn’t feel like bro was forcing being nice which is good I would say I’d come back but I’ve just arrived in nottingham would recommend though

We were looked after very much by a lovely lady. Food was ok but not great. Reasonably priced. Lovely garden and atmosphere.

For the Apple Tree, I tried a sea bass with mashed potatoes, peas and a parsley sauce from the Christmas menu with my colleagues. In spite of the lacking presentation, the food offered was genujnely “good grub”. In terms of the fish, I am not a frequent eater but I throughly enjoyed the flavour packed into the fish and the crispy exterior. However, I did not enjoy the green vegetables on my plate and felt that more flavour could have been offered. Aside from that, service is always great here and staff frequently check in on you to assist wherever they can and quickly serve you. For that purpose, I give a four star rating.

It was very reasonably priced here and the food was delicious! I would recommend this venue to everyone! Well done!

Lovely food, great for a midweek dinner

Website needs tweaking staff Very friendly staff are great at their job. Food is spot-on. You can’t fault it for the price.

The food was really good but the service was appalling, waited an hour for it to arrive and in that time we only saw two tables served, one of them was for a couple who arrived after us. If they are that busy why don't they inform you when you place your order what the wait is likely to be.

We had to wait 1 hour after ordering food which I think is not acceptable. If we had been told about this when we ordered we would have not stayed as we were celebrating and were hungry. When the food arrived it was gorgeous

Our party was very large and a lot of our guests were a bit disgruntled that the food was a bit sporadic. People were finished before others ha even started. That said, in my opinion the food was very well prepared and it came out piping hot, which is a big plus in my book. It could have been cold, it could have been warm, but it wasn't it was very nice.

Food is consistently good and table service excellent. getting seated was a problem on this occassion. I had reserved a table but waited over 10mins at a busy understaffed bar to ask which table. With it getting busier and no sign of queue lessening much I gave up found the table i though it was most likely to be given I asked for space for a wheelchair. Luckily I guessed right. from that moment on we had a lovely time and all enjoyed our meals apart from a small mistake with one order that we decided to not follow up as wasnt a biggie. Remains my fave localish pub to go to for good reasonably priced food for different budgets and appetites with lots to choose from.
