No 5 in Shropshire

We popped in at around 8.45pm on Friday night to grab a bite to eat. The staff had a fine balance between good hosting without interrupting conversation. Decor is quirky and its a real Tardis, an awful lot bigger inside than the outside let's on. But the food is where it comes into its own, every mouthful was a different burst of flavour and we commented that we hadn't enjoyed food so much since our holiday abroad. I would happily go back there again, we polished off everything on our plates. Don't be fooled by tapas the portions are a decent size and the food is filling. Perfect end to a lovely evening.

On the off chance we popped in to No5 for a couple of early evening cocktails and weren’t disappointed. We could see that majority of tables were reserved but Tom kindly found us a great spot and attended to our drinks shortly afterwards- he was very pleasant but not too much. Cocktails were great but thought we may need something to nibble at to soak them up as they soon hit the spot - a mezze board it was and it was just perfect accompaniment alongside our drinks. More customers arrived and the place really had a lovely relaxed feel to it too Great work Tom, you’re a great asset! 🍹🍷🥂

Have visited twice in the last week, once for lunch and once for breakfast. Service excellent and high quality food in a lovely setting. Very lucky to have this on the doorstep.

I haven’t visited Number 5 for a couple of years until today. It has changed completely in a very good way. The customer service was excellent and was matched by the delicious food. I had the Crispy Coated Salt and Pepper Calamari and the Halloumi Bites (small Plates). Both were really tasty and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be going back soon. Sorry no photos as too busy chatting and enjoying the food. Thanks to Tom and Mia for their brilliant service.

Would 100% recommend! I went for dinner with my partner and the food was delicious, the plates were hot which was a nice added touch and service was outstanding! We had some nibbles to start and a range of tapas dishes followed by desert. We would definitely recommend the honey glazed chorizo and the baklava sundae. The atmosphere was great and the pace of service was perfect. The cocktails were also excellent!

I've been to No.5 on numerous occasions and it's always been good service, great atmosphere and blooming good food. Recently went on a Saturday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What really hits you at first is the wonderful buzzing atmosphere, you know you are going to have a good night. Really good service, the staff here are genuinely friendly and nice. As the place is so busy, it's no surprise there was a bit of a delay with food, however we were quite happy just sampling some of the cocktails which are great (even the non alcoholic mocktails!). Food is really good, for mains I had the sea bass and my wife had chicken in pasta, both were absolutely delightful. The chef here has a real passion for quality food. All in all, a great night out. Well worth a visit.

We didn’t realise that it would be so busy on Christmas Eve for breakfast and so didn’t book a table , they were chocka and had a fabulous atmosphere. They said the wait for food would be possibly 30 minutes but within 15 our breakfasts were served and piping hot, alongside an apple juice and cappuccino The young staff were wonderful and so polite too Great food, great service!!

The staff and service is always great. We came in for a quick drink recently. We really do miss the male owner doing the food, much preferred it then. We’ve been for set menu events and it’s never really lived up to expectations which is a shame. Partner used to always come in then but we don’t tend to visit now. Just an honest one

This was a fantastic choice of where to get dinner. Fabulous service, wonderful food and a chilled atmosphere. The quality of the food was outstanding and I would recommend the Harissa lamb skewers and the belly pork. I will definitely visit again.

If customers choose not to sit at a table under a draughty ceiling fan, please don't glare at us in a hostile way as the waitress did today please. It's a wonder the milk didn't turn!...a smile costs nothing. We took our custom to a friendlier cafe in town.

Arrived to have lunch with my 10 week old baby in a pram and my friend. Got told that we couldn't have the pram in there due to health and safety reasons. Spoke to the manager she was very rude and referred for us to go elsewhere. The way we were spoken to and how it was dealt with was not okay. I've never felt so discriminated against for having a baby. There was plenty of space for my pram without causing a fire exit risk. But when we suggested this, we got told that we'd have to take the car seat and put it on the seat which would have been too narrow for it to go in there, therefore transferring the health and safety risk onto my baby. I have never been made to feel unwelcome, ashamed and upset as much as I did walking into this establishment. I don't recommend eating or drinking here with or without children.

Location was excellent as it was just out of the reach of carnival chaos . We really liked this venue the atmosphere was nice and excellent service. Couldn't fault the Tapas we had, or wine choice . The pork was melting in your mouth...the potato's bravos was right on the money for me as it was made with reduced tomatoes. The tempura veg well that was excellent. The calamari although well cooked was a bit over done but over all an excellent presentation from the kitchen. We would definitely visit again if in Shifnal.
