My local. They have decent drinks, sports on TV. Amazing large garden with huge TV. Regular events, live music, bbqs. Meat raffles, seafood man. This is a proper English pub. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

Shhhhhh... Don't tell everyone, but every Friday evening this cute cafe turns into a wine bar with the best grown-up cocktails in town and a pretty decent wine menu too. We pre-ordered a cheese platter that was generous in size with a sumptuous range of cheesey choice. It was a perfectly joyful date night. Hosted by Simon and Emma, who are warm and welcoming.

The atmosphere was good, but we had to wait an hour and a half for our food. We were on the point of walking out as we were hungry and frustrated. When the food (Sunday roast) turned up, my food was cold and had to be taken to be heated up - it took quite a while before it was returned. I wasn't impressed (it really takes an awful lot for me to criticise or leave negative feedback, but this was ridiculous) the food quality wasn't great and the veg weren't tasty and I felt they had been sitting around and became "stale". It was a real shame as we had been to this restaurant several times and had been great.
