No 197 Chiswick Fire Station in Hounslow

My friends and I found this cracking Restaurant and bar in the heart of Chiswick. From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home and part of the family. You can tell the charming manager and his team really love what they do, as the service was excellent and effortless. We had a some cocktails at the bar before sitting down to dinner in the restaurant by the garden. The place was really well designed and decorated. A spacious venue that felt intimate and cosy yet cool and contemporary. The cocktails were excellent and the bar team kept us all entertained. The food was surprisingly good for a central London suburb, in fact I would say the food was excellent. Although, no room for pud as the main courses were large portions. The music and atmosphere was perfect throughout the evening and a great time was had by all. We will definitely return and visit their other venues. A big thanks to Leon, Kasha, the bar team and the chef for 5* all-round experience. A definite MUST for anyone in Chiswick.

Fantastic customer service, food was lovely, our daughter chose a mocktail but wasn't so keen, Giovanni noticed this and offered an alternative and took the the cost of the unfavourable drink off our bill. We would definitely reccommend and come back again

Busy atmospheric all day restaurant - good food but today when I visited at lunchtime it was brimming over with young children who must have just broken up from school. Not a problem except the parents let them run around the restaurant, some were on their scooters! The staff should be trained how to deal with these sorts of situations so that all customers are able to enjoy their time there and not feel like they’re in a playground

I like the vibe of the place and there is a lot of space with various types of seating options. I did not like not being able to substitute vodka for gin from their cocktail options. I was told that it would screw up their inventory. Really? Anyway, the food is good, but very pricey .

We visited this restaurant three times in three days. First was at the recommendation of our hotel for breakfast. Second was late on a Friday night just before the kitchen closed. The third time was on a Sunday morning, again for breakfast. Each time the food was excellent as was the service. In addition, this is a beautiful restaurant and bar. I’d like to especially commend them for having so many gluten-free options—I barely noticed that my choices were any different from anyone else’s. The servers were very pleasant and accommodating.

Absolutely disappointed with the lack of basic customer service!! with the whole Group being barred due to a SINGLE glass being broken by accident, 17 of us spent 6 hours drinking/eating ordering £100’s of pound a worth of business yet they acted with such childish contempt. Will not be going to any of the franchises

Disgusting behaviour from the bar staff for over charging us for drinks. We then got told we were barred from ordering more for what appears to be due to a broken glass. Context we had took a group photo and one or our friend accidentally knocked the glass when adjusting his arms for the photo. We spent good money there and this is how the show service. The staff are pathetic and the manger. God what a narcissist! The only reason I gave a star because the security guard, was the only person in the establishment that friendly, polite and respectful to us and we could not fault him what’s so ever. Mate if you see this review…leave! You are worth more than the establishment you work for.

I have visited today and have never have had such poor service from a recommended establishment. I would never visit here again purely for the poor customer service and the awful hospitality from the staff members. I think this place has potential but if it treats it’s paying guests in such a disgraceful manner then I would head a million miles away from here. Expensive drinks and food. Great bouncer. But nothing else!

Wow... what can I say...... absolutely loved this place. Went on Friday evening and had a great time. Food was so good, ambience was.amazing and the live DJ was fantastic. Definitely going back!!!

Looks nice inside and staff were friendly, clearly busy with some larger groups. Truthfully not much to say food looked good, but was average tasting and expensive for what you got. Portion sizes not fabulous don't think I would return. A shame really as it has potential.

We’ve visited here a few times over the past couple of years, always hoping the food has improved as the environment is really nice. But yesterday was the worst experience to date and we won’t be giving it any more chances! My partner ordered the rotisserie chicken and when it arrived it looked a bit raw (in a sea of some oily sauce). He tried it and straight away said it wasn’t cooked enough. The manager reassured us it was cooked but honestly I don’t think anyone who tried it would have agreed with that. The manager was helpful and we ordered him the steak instead. That arrived and was very chewy and probably worth a tenner not £35!!! Avoid ordering that! My mushroom pasta was average and the sticky toffee was one of the worst I’ve tried in a long time. The kitchen and menu are in desperate need of a lot of changes and I hope it happens soon as this place has so much potential!

Food and wine distinctly average and costing at least 25-50% more than it should. A side of carrots was not even a single carrot’s worth. Meals come without chips so they have to be ordered extra. Very small portions indeed. Saved by acceptable (not bad) service and the fact that it was relatively quiet compared to the place across the road and not full of screaming children. Something needs to change here otherwise customers will vote with their feet.

11am today , Saturday 29th . Came in for Coffees , my wife and myself , promptly issued with water by employee , ordered Coffees . Ten minuetes later it arrives , my wifes Americano in normal china cup and my Latte in a glass , it being scolding hot maying it impossible to pick up , had i known i would have requested a normal cup , had to wrap napkin around glas to enable picking up . Asking for the bill it promptly arrived £3.90 x 2 and to my amazement + 12.5% sevice charge = £8.78 ! ! Meaning £4.40 total each . Needless to say i will not be back .

Overpriced and not that great. Ordered chicken tacos and they were so small and the taco stuck to the paper. Came with a bit of cabbage, severely lacking imagination. Also ordered a £5.95 smoothie to have it presented in a bottle. It should have be freshly made for that price. Husband and I spent £60 for a measly lunch. I would not go back.

First time to The Fire Station in Chiswick and sad to say it was a very disappointing experience. The English breakfasts were luke warm and undercooked. We complained but because we'd eaten some of the food they weren't prepared to provide any compensation (even a free cup of tea) to acknowledge our dissatisfaction. Certainly won't be going back there again.

This place was awful. First of all my wife and I had been having a standing conversation with each in the open beer garden and we had been told that the owner didn’t like anyone in the beer garden ( there had been no signs) we just said ok and sat down inside and then later when the insipid food which was meaballs and naan, and halloumi turned up cold, I asked for it to be heated up, and 10 minutes later the waitress came back with the same cold plate and said she could not get it heated up for health and safety reasons! Really? £50 bill with added on service charge for food I did not eat. Paid and left!

Very overpriced and a ripoff. Flies all in the kitchen and the actual restaurant itself. Chicken was purple and didn’t look great. A very big disappointment at the end of a good few days in London, will not recommend to anyone.
