Nightjar Carnaby in City of London, Westminster

Una gran visita con personal super atento y amable. Personal bien informado hizo de esta visita un súper placer. Definitivamente podría haberse quedado más tiempo. El personal de 5 estrellas y los cócteles eran interesantes e imaginativos. La razón de 4 estrellas y no 5 es porque para mí la carta de vinos lo defraudó. 5 blancos por copa, 3 italianos y 2 franceses y todos de estilo muy similar. Por favor, sea un poco más inventivo y mezcle el mundo nuevo / viejo y asegúrese de que no todo sea “blanco seco”. Necesita un Chenin/Chardonany/Viognier/Torrentes/Marsanne o similar para que yo le dé otra oportunidad.

Nos topamos con este bar como bebida previa al teatro. ¡No decepcionó! El personal era muy amable y tenían un guardarropa para abrigos! La presentación de los cócteles fue impresionante y lo convirtió en una experiencia memorable. ¡Me habría quedado a tomar otra copa y la música en vivo si no tuviéramos que llegar al teatro! Recomiendo encarecidamente y sin duda volvería de nuevo!

Visitamos Nightjar tarde por casualidad mientras paseábamos por el Soho. No teníamos una reserva, pero se nos permitió caminar - en. Tuvimos que pagar una entrada que no era mucho, ya que la música de abajo es muy buena. En nuestra noche, Eric Ranzoni Trio banda estaba tocando. Fue realmente atmosférico, nostálgico y divertido. Pedimos 2 cócteles que eran muy razonablemente precio para los estándares SOHO. La Frida ahumada con Sangre y Pino fuertes. Ambos cobraban a 16 libras cada uno. En bebidas de calidad estaban por encima de la media, nada especial. No tuvimos ningún problema con el precio de entrada o los precios de las bebidas, pero un lugar así necesita personal más amable. El personal no era grosero, pero tampoco era amable, un poco demasiado funcional. Me gustaría visitar de nuevo, aunque solo sea por casualidad. De lo contrario, hay mejores bares de música en Londres. Todavía vale la pena una sola oportunidad.

Il supplemento pagato per il late night show valeva davvero la pena. Un menu di cocktail variegato molto buono, tutti pensati per rappresentare precise epoche storiche sul proibizionismo.

We wanted to have just a drink and came across Nightjar on the Internet. It was to late to make a reservation, so we just went there, and had to wait only about 20 minutes to get a table. (Be wiser and book in advance!) It was not easy to find this hidden treasure at Kingley Court on Carnaby Street, but it was well worth the wait and trouble finding it. In a cellar, in the dark, we were led to our table, and our waiter (a nice chap) took the humble order of a cheese plate and two gin and tonics. After 9 pm a brilliant duo (piano and bass) started to play highly enjoyable jazz (the musicians are different every night). If you want a pleasant evening, or just an hour to relax, go to the Nightjar, you will not regret.

I booked specifically for the live jazz performance hoping to get a pleasant live experience. The performer was really good as far as I am concerned as I could barely hear what he was playing and singing. In fact, the atmosphere was below the expectations to be nice, the costumers were extremely rude, laughing and talking loud ruining the whole experience. When i mentioned the situation to the waitress she proceeded listing a series of excuses and assured me her “boys” will kindly ask the other customer to respect not only who in fact actually wanted to hear the live music but also the musician whom i felt bad for considering the conditions he had to perform. Only when i asked for the bill and repeated the bad experience I had she removed the “music charge” as almost no music was heard. In conclusion for drinking it’s an okay place, but for jazz live music go somewhere else. I rated one star, but i honestly hoped i could rate zero.

First time I’ve visited Nightjar Carnaby and the place is fine for exotic cocktails/ drinks but not for soft drinks unless they have an exotic twist ! Didn’t go for the drinks but went for the live music ( Georgia Crandon was excellent) which didn’t disappoint. Rather crammed around tables in proximity to other guests and waitress service was very good but she had to squeeze by several times a night sometimes giving you a little knock! Sound and atmosphere very good but very dark in there so bring your reading glasses to view the menu ! Overall average for me and I think they could’ve done with some nibbles on tables or sell some simple food (peanuts/crisps) whilst listening to music or awaiting drink rather than posh grub but I suppose it’s London Carnaby so it’s not my cup of tea !! Although that would’ve been nice!

Excellent experience! Welcomed as soon as we approach from the street. The host was lovely and managed to get us a table without a booking, even though it was 8pm on a Saturday! Special thanks to Stephanie, for looking after us, she had all the answers to our questions and was lovely to talk to. We will all be back, to try more of your fabulous signature cocktails!
