Newport Fish & Chips in Isle of Wight

The food is alway delicious and service is amazing! Hygiene has always looked/seemed professionally kept on top of. I wouldn’t go to any other chip shop!

Awful food,fish soggy, chips cold, kebab rotten. Two guys that was working were laughing when I was ordering, made me feel uncomfortable. They were rude, will defo not be back, AVOID THIS PLACE, REALLY NOT WORTH THE VISIT. I'D GIVE IT 0 STARS IF I COULD.

Before Covid raised its ugly head I used to order from these guys as the food was great and so were the prices. Since lockdown I have been massively impressed with the way these folks give simply excellent customer service. Ordering - fantastic, delivery - always on or before time and all the staff give you the feeling that they can’t do enough for you. Thank you NF&C for looking after us 😊👍

These folks have made the COVID lockdown so much easier with their simply excellent service. Great food, great portions, always arrives hot and they always have a smile on their face 😁. I would highly recommend them and challenge anyone to eat their large mixed kebab wrap in one sitting!! And check the price 👍

Searched high and low for a Fish and chip shop that was open, I wish I didn’t find one! The food was awful the fish was soggy the chips were overcooked cold and of a very strange colour.All I can say is do not waste your money, I actually can’t get over how awful it was

Awful portion size! Greesy chips, worst delivery I’ve had in a long time! First and last time. Avoid!! If you want a decent chippy go to stokesburys

Usually treat myself to a takeaway/home delivery once a week to save cooking and this place is nearly always where I order from. Been using this chippy for years now and I've never had a bad experience tbh.Staff are always really friendly both over the phone and when food is delivered, tasty & filling grub, received in a good timely manner. In my experience if comparing this eating establishment to other food places that deliver then its the best option by quite a distance I've always found; Domino's pizza is simply a rip off - period, Kebab House place up Node Hill wasn't much at all, neither were Wight Grill or Pasha Grill. Newport Fish & Chips wins hands down every time.

Ordered a take away with my family and was great! Huge portions and friendly workers. Nice kebabs and chips, would deffo recommend.

Fish and chips shops are usually a bit hit and miss but this one is consistently quite good. The family meal deal is quite good value and you get pizza, chips, garlic bread and a drink for around 25 (at time of writing)I'm always a bit weary about getting pizza from these sorts of places as they are often just soggy messes but this tasted fresh and actually quite tasty in general! Would use again!

Great fish and chips! Excellent repartee from the owner/chef. Huge pieces of cod, good price He advised us on what order would suit our needs. Very friendly guy.

Bought dinner for 11 in here. Food was reasonable prices and nice enough. Apart from the 1 of us that actually had fish. This was the most sorry and soggy bit of fish I've had the misfortune to clap eyes on. Not bad unless you want fish.

Having almost given up on McDonalds its good to see that I can get a takeaway quickly that I enjoy. Will be making a point of eating at local fish and chip shops in future.

Stopped here today for dinner. Potion size was ok. But quality of the food was not that great. I have eaten worse. But also a lot better

This Fish and Chip Shop is basically a take away. The food is o.k. Staff helpful and friendly. Not much space for parking outside.

With visiting my niece on the IOW, it was decided that during my three weeks we would, besides having a Chinese Take-away meal, we would also have the traditional British meal of Fish and Chips. In Scotland the usual Fish and Chips comes with Haddock, unless Cod is asked for and if it is available, so I asked her to get me a large Cod, as again my local Fish and Chip shops idea of a large fish is something the size of a Side Plate. On getting back to where my niece lives we quickly unwrapped everything to find that the piece of Cod I'd asked for hung over both side of the Dinner Plate it was on, plus the chips also tried to hide the plate and the Cod.

We waited over an hour for fish and chips for 8 people. It made us wonder if they had ever cooked fish and chips before as the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing.

We had a variety of foods from this shop, the batter on the fish was lovely, light and crispy, this kids enjoyed their pizza's with a generous amount of toppings and the staff were very polite and friendly while we waited. Definitely recommend
