I ordered a breakfast in here it was not very nice. The egg was grubby & dirty looking and broken yolk. Bacon very greasy, potato scones floppy & soft Some of it looked like it had been microwaved. The table wasn’t clean i wiped it with a wipe from my bag, no napkin either. I was charged for the tea as well and i think it should have been included. I wont be back, i always thought highly of this place - its kinda put me off

Newton Mearns store. Absolutely love this baker best one by far. Love the sweet and sour rye bread and the rolls are amazing. Always come for breakfast and lunch when I am down in the area. Staff are polite and efficient. The prices are so cheap and you get loads for your buck.

Ordered a birthday cake, showed the staff a picture of how I wanted it and he said it was fine no problem. Picked it up for the birthday and it was totally the wrong colour did not go with the theme at all it was for a 21st birthday and I got a it’s a boy baby blue colour. Staff at the unit was rude bad customer service. Wasn’t apologetic at all said I was lucky I got a cake.

Clarkston Road shop. Lazy staff. Appear to having nothing available to make up at all, fairly obvious the staff can’t be bothered to make up something as simple as either a tuna or a cheese roll, lady took delight in saying at 1230 there was no tuna or cheese in stock…..

Comically gormless service. Communication between staff and with customers poor or non-existent. There is no sign of anyone being in charge, and the sight of staff having fag breaks outside is not enticing.

Was a very cold day and had been for a very long walk so popped in for a refuel. Got a deal on at the moment, £4.95 for a breakfast and £1 for cup of tea. It's not a 5 star venue, but its a nice enough cafe with decent food at a decent price, and the staff are nice.If you fancy a bit of breakfast/brunch but want to go to an independent rather than a Weatherspoons, then give this a go.You can also have a nice cake to eat in or takeaway afterwards.

I went with my daughter and 12 year old grandson for a lunch at Newlands Home Bakery in Shawlands. My daughter and grandson had a full breakfast which they enjoyed. I had minestrone soup and sandwich. The soup was passable but a bit greasy and really bore no resemblance to real minestrone soup. I had a turkey sandwich with it which was poor with a feeble side salad. Next time we are in Shawlands my daughter and grandson can go in but I will either bring my own sandwich to eat in the car or a better idea will be for us all to go elsewhere as I will certainly not be eating in that cafe again.

I love their shop in Shawlands on Glasgow's south side. They have a fantastic range of scones + cakes etc . Although their snack menu is fairly limited the standard of what you get is very good. My personal favourite: THE breakfast. As I say if you are in that part of Glasgow and you see the Newlands Bakery: Do not pass By

There would seem to be some confusion over the address of this establishment.I am reviewing the branch at kilmarnock road at the railway bridge junction of shawlands/newlands on Glasgow's south side. This won't take long.Basically you get an 8 item breakfast containing everything you would expect.Beautifully cooked, served in a simple cafe type ambience. No it's not healthy but boy is it good. Most definately lives up to it's tag of best south side breakfast. Coming complete with 2 slices of buttered toast and a cup of tea or coffee,it's an absolute steal at £4.50 per person. It's traditional and it's a real treat. The staff are polite and attentive. What more could you ask......Well, you could fill a big bag with their delicious Pies, pastries, bread and cakes on your way out and resign yourself to being overweight just like me.

When you are buying several items often you do not realise how much things cost. I got a roll with scrambled egg and cheese to takeaway, I was slightly taken aback with the price tag of £2.10; the justification was £1.50 for the roll and egg,£0.60 for the cheese! The quality of food is fantastic, but everything has it's price, this is too much for me to justify, customer lost.

He estado aquí varias veces.

Delicious freshly made scone with Butter and Jam and superb Vanilla Latte (Mum had an amazing Mueille Feuille) cake. Lovely friendly, helpful staff who were engaging and couldn't do enough to help us. It's also great for people like one of our family members who use a wheelchair. We had never been before and had a great experience.

If you want a nice hot, tasty, home cooked, good value breakfast, GO ELSEWHERE! Where do I start? I ordered the full all day breakfast, at £9.50, it was not cheap and when it arrived , not looking very good value. The positives. The rosti, beans and toast were nice and hot. The negatives. 2 sausages the size of chipolatas lukewarm. Mushroom stone cold. Streaky bacon, well undercooked, greasy and stone cold. The poached eggs were meant to be soft. They weren't and again barely lukewarm. I complained about the bacon and was brought another plate of cold, greasy undercooked bacon. I again complained and the waitress said she would get me a refund. I said I wasn't wanting one. However, a few minutes later, Jocelyn the restaurant manager appeared to let me know we could have a free hot drink but no way was I getting the refund which I hadn't asked for! Apparently it was no ones fault. I learned that everything is cooked, sorry heated to pre programmed times and temperatures. Also, and perhaps the worst. The poached eggs are deliverd in a little plastic pod with water, I assume partially cooked , and put into hot water to set. YEUGH! Pity they weren't in a shell like other eggs. My wife had the pancakes, bacon and maple syrup. Obviously not fresh made, just heated. Her bacon was the same as mine. At £8.50 it was a disgrace. We won't be back. M&S was always known for quality. What has happened?
