New Yorker Diner in Manchester

Firstly the food was great,, good and tasty and decent sized food portion. Now with the confusing part, The customer service is very dull and slow. And also they say they have the 50 percent eat in offer but only give 25 percent off. It took her literally 5 minutes to work out my discount and still got it wrong. I didn't complain at the time as I know businesses are struggling and tbh couldn't be botherd with the hassle as the service is slow and not very welcoming. But overall I cant fault the food, it was all delicious and would go again.

Opening times vary every day, clearly dependent on whether the owner can be bothered. Recently updated google times aren’t correct and phone calls are just ignored. Don’t bother going- it probably won’t be open!

The sign in the window claims they are offering ‘Eat out to help out’ scheme but be aware it’s their own watered down version. My bill was £14.97 and they only gave £5 off not the Government 50%. No explanation why, the guy was quite rude when I asked and said it was the owners decision then started talking to someone else before I’d finished the conversation. They were also playing loud offensive rap music with lots of ‘f’ & ‘n’ words so not one for the kids. Food was great though!

Great burgers, the Dirty Harry was pretty damned good. Food was ready quickly, menu a little restricted and the toilets were out of order when I visited. If you’re in the mood for a burger, this is a pretty good choice!

We called in for food on a girls afternoon. We found a nice small cafe area & great choices for food. We went for chicken boneless in a SF coating, with mac n cheese & mexican rice sides, plus coleslaw & a garlic mayo dip. The chicken was delicious & a we got a big bit. The rice was was so tasty! I also had a banana milkshake, Mmmmm! The quality was great & price a bargain at £8. They had some great choices like chicken n waffles, burgers & hotdogs. I like the fact you can choose different sides & they come in decent sized portions in separate dishes. Service was good & the place was clean. Sorry about the pic it was so tasty i forgot to get a pic before but the during shows how nice it was going down.

Second visit here, decent food. We had the 'dirty poutine' fries. £5.49 per portion. 2 meals for under 20 quid including a shake 👍 Please sort that out of order toilet though, as you can smell the toilet in the restaurant! 🤢

Halal food. Milkshakes were nice. And so were the burgers. Very juicy and hot. Mid price range. Would recommend for quick bites or late night snack.

Visited with my sister for a quick lunch before heading back the train station. Quite small inside but clean. We ordered a burger each and a chilli, mac & fries between us. Burgers were freshly cooked and really tasty, mine was a Peri chicken fillet & the other a buttermilk chicken. Fresh salad & brioche bun, chunky onion slice. The mac cheese was really nice, as were the fries. The chilli was a little bitty but all in all nice. Would visit again.

1st time trying and its the worst experiance ever. The chicken thighs are very cheap that i was recommended by a worker (morgan) to not buy a thigh as the meat would be gooey and brown. So i bought a FILLET with the 'dirty Harry'. When food arrived after round 15 mins it looked nice. Although metal trays were small and smelt weird. (Which I later saw were ALL HANDWASHED NEAR THE TILLS AND STAFF were not using washing up liquid) lol makes sense to the smell. Anyway my burgers still ended up being a thigh as it was as described... meat with very brown in areas and sticky. Stop buying cheap meat and charging 10£ for a burger. Was excited for a halal place. Need better staff. I dont usually keave review but after this I am distraught.

Overall very disappointed. What I ordered was not a hot dog but rather a big sausage in a stale bun. If you cannot relate to Richmond sausage then maybe you can with 'Walls' sausages - either way, not a hot dog. Overpriced rubbish...

So after I ordered while I was waiting I checked previous reviews and was a bit worried , however there was no need to worry . Food was all good and arrived quickly . Good price . Place was clean and tidy . Staff were polite and friendly . Good fast food and the chicken burger was better than KFC . Would go again .

So come here regularly and pay £70 each time, well not any more. Toilets are locked because cannot be bothered cleaning them. Denying a 4 year old from using the toilet and aakes is to go to the pub across the road on a Friday evening (yeah sure) Gave us the wrong order and said it's our fault and said because they are a small business. Visited the diner recently and was very disappointed in the service we received. First of all the order was placed wrong so two burgers arrived after 20mins and after waiting for 40mins for my food we kept getting told it would be another five mins. Then we got told by one lady that the other lady took the order wrong and she blamed her instead. After complaining and asking why they kept telling us five minutes if the order was wrong, all they had to say was we can give you 20% off your next order. Left the diner extremely annoyed and had not eaten.
