We've had a couple of meals from here recently and the quality is back up to what we were used to. Loads of meat in the mains, very tasty and their dim sum, salt and pepper wings and BBQ ribs are Pukka.

Had a takeaway delivered tonight and the food was excellent, big portion of bbq pork spare ribs and the best chicken chow mien I’ve had in a while also egg foo yung lovely.

Having read the reviews, I decided to give this place a try a couple of weeks ago. When I went down, the place was pitch black and shut. A guy walking past told me it was closed because the owners had gone back to China. When I went past on friday, I saw the light was on, so I went in. The place looked old and dated and more like a chinese living room than a shop. I ordered a special chow mein, prawn toast and salt and pepper ribs. Was very disappointed, tbh ! The chow mein was very bland and watery, the meat had a strange taste and it was rubbery, it didn't taste fresh at all. The prawn toast tasted very greasy and fatty and the ribs were tough and dry ! I love chinese food and I have worked in the far east, so I know what good food is and this is not nice ! I thought with all the positive reviews, I thought this would be good but I was very disappointed !

I always order my chinese from here. Its always hot and tasty. The portions are generous. I always pick mine up as i live near.

Ordered our takeaway it was delivered on time. It was piping hot. The bbq ribs were delicious with lots of thick tasty sauce. My chicken in black bean sauce was also a lovely thick sauce, I have the mushrooms too with added chilli (personal preference) perfect. My friend had chicken n sweet and sour sauce and again lovely and thick sauce we both thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the chips are chips not fries. Also came with prawn crackers. Cant fault it.

The wife and I got a little carried away with our order once again and ended up trekking home with a huge box of food. We were definately not disappointed with what we unboxed. The ribs are melt in the mouth, the spicy rice was just right and the complementary prawn crackers will last us all week there was so many.

Ordered a takeaway on friday night delivered 15 mins early and what a meal loads of meat and fresh veg in every dish sauces were really thick and tasty, satay sauce is to die for. Plenty of meat not like others where they use veg to bulk it out

Ordered online and the food arrived very quickly , salt and pepper chicken and salt and pepper chips were lovely! So was the black bean sauce , would definitely go here for a Chinese again when I’m ordering takeaway

It’s a good place for decent and affordable Asian takeout food. Staff are pleasant and helpful, menu I.S extensive and service very fast. I’ve used for a good while now and always go back for my “fix”!

I've been using this takeaway for around 8 years and it has never let me down! This is the best Chinese in congleton every meal is made with love!! THIS TAKE AWAY GETS A++++

Not an experience I'll repeat. Overcooked meat that was so hard it was like eating twigs and really stodgy noodles. Service was quick and friendly but the food was disappointing.

I have ordered food from here several times, first time was nice and next couple of times it got steadily worse, final time last week was absolutely disgusting and we wont be ordering again, the food was full of gristle, even the chicken was like rubber and we order quite a few dishes from here, the sweet and sour is just chicken balls thrown in the sauce, they were not cooked in the sauce just thrown on top not even covered. For the amount of money we spent i would expect decent food. Very poor and ended up in the bin. Won't be wasting my money on this take away again.

This Chinese was recommended to us by a tradesman shortly after we moved to Congleton. We have now had three meals, all very good.

Had our second take out from here on Friday and I must say it was soooooooooooo good!! And the lady was really helpful!I ordered the crispy noodle chicken chow mean with just carrots and extra sauce, special friend rice no seafood and chips! All of it was really good and the chow mein sauce was delicious!!!! Prawn crackers were ok, not the thin crappy ones at least.Chips were rather chunky and a little dry but good when covered in vinegar :)

Ordered for a last minute Sunday tea as we were too late to cook our roast! ordered by phone and it was ready in 10mins. Food was good, freshly cooked. We had a dimsum selection including ribs which were lovely; some Satay Chicken Skewers which are my all time favourite and a portion of sweet and sour (crispy balls) and there were loads for 3 of us to share. Only downside is they don't take cards so had to find a cash point on the way.

Our first experience was last. All meals were greasy with the aftertaste of used oil. Sorry but one of the worst Chinese takeaways in Congleton.

I had a take out from here. Very nice. Favorite so far is sweet and sour chicken... Would recommend to locals. Definitely would go again!

Opening times getting later (by nearly an hour). Food getting more expensive and there shouldn't be a delivery charge for around the corner with spending over £20. Food tastes nice but will go elsewhere for faster service where the food also tastes nice.

I ordered a chicken chow mein, now this was our first visit here in a long time so I asked on the phone if it came with sauce and was told yes, IT DPES NOT! At the start it was tastey but after the 5th mouthful it was to dry to keep eating so it got wasted... The crispy chilli beef was amazing though so just one of those watch what you order places really....I'll go back if I have to...Not near the top of my Chinese list but at least it's still on the list.

Food ok, they allways ask what time you need the food for, yet they just ALWAYS deliver when they want, three times now I have requested it for 8pm (when my guests arrive) and every time they threw it at me "at least" an hour early. So don't order in advance. By the time we needed the food, it had to be reheated and tasted soggy, so can't really review the freshly cooked food.

Nice but the curry sauce this time was a different colour had an awful taste was not really edible

Delivered 50 mins early, last time it was delivered over an hour early. Salt and pepper tofu nice, could have done with more chilli though. Noodles had a black sauce on them which tasted nasty, such a shame. And foo Young tasted strange. Apart from that, ok, wish they would take note of delivery time requests

Lovely hot food, ordered on a Saturday night, delivery time 22.30 and delivered early! Very impressed, will order again! 👍

Everything was good until it came time to eat my salt and chill pepper squid. The squid was so over cooked I couldn't tell where the batter finished and squid began it was all so chewy. So disappointed.

We have used New Ruby a few times however is often longer than it originally says. Tonight, for example, we ordered an hour ago, just checked it's going to be an another 15 minutes! This is a bit long to wait wheb you're not prewarned.

Abysmal delivery time. Normally told it will take 45 - 50 minutes, but delivery is before 30. This time delivery took over an hour and a half! Most disappointed, didn't even get an apology! Wouldn't have minded if it was a small order, but we had placed an order almost costing £40!!!!

Poor under cooked spring rolls..filling poor mostly cabbage! Sweet and sour sauce poor..very pink and lacking in taste...alot of onion,.. A few peppers and little else....Sauce tasted better out of a packet..rice very poor not fried rice boiled with egg thrown in.. In all honesty would not recommend.. Have to say the worst sweet and sour I have every had sorry

Ultra rapid delivery! Fillet steak in OK sauce was gorgeous, soft noodles were a lovely flavour and texture but if I'm totally honest a few of them must have caught in the pan slightly because they seemed a tad overdone. I'd happily have them again though

The chilli beef was hard plus it could of been any sort of meat...the sweet & sour pork was more onion then pork....sorry will not use again ..over priced for what arrived..

Second time we have ordered from New Ruby. Excellent service and food both times. Received a phone call advising how they could accommodate my wheat allergy which was much appreciated. Time from order to delivery less than twenty minutes (couldn't have collected it quicker!)

Our sweet and sour chicken balls was in fact prawn, only some of them though! Good job my farther in law wasn't eating with us he would be dead suffering a serious allergy! We found it most alarming they had been mixed made us very wary about food prep standards and what else goes on behind the scenes!

I had the special chow mein that recommended by the staff and it was excellent . its was mixed meat with veg. in oyster sauce with soft noodles. my partner she had a special curry , she loved it so much. we very enjoyed the meal.

The food was not very enjoyable at all. We haven't been to this takeaway for a few months, after ordering a dish containing water chestnuts, which were black through the middle. This time the chow mien was greasy and contained only prawns and noodle, no vegetable or sauce. The woman who takes the order is quite abrupt and unfriendly. We will not be eating here again, it was awful. The only thing to be said in a positive, is the delivery was fairly quick.
