Anniversary celebratory dinner. Excellent service,lady who attended to us was such a pleasant chatty person,so welcoming. Meal ordered was perfect from Drinks, Starters to Mains. Food was freshly cooked & served hot & everything tasted to perfection. Yes,prices have increased in last few years but this is all over. Will continue to go here again.

Have visited here on many occasions and the food is always brilliant. It is a shame about the price hike but it is understandable due to rising costs. The food is fresh and tasty. Staff a friendly and enjoy having a joke. They also remember us and what our favourite dishes are. Great, great, great!

Food was okay ish, this review is about the abuse me and my family got from staff, me and my partner had gone out for a cigarette, sat and ate our food, after a hour or so I was informed they wouldn’t serve me any meats or seafood and was accused of taking food outside for a “friend” After going back and forth and asking for them to check cctv for proof of this accusation the staff walked off and didn’t come back, they would have let us order anything off the menu other than duck or lamb so I believe this was because we had eaten too much, considering we payed £30 a head this was ridiculous, we had had a starter and 3 portions of duck, I will never return to this establishment and I hope no one who sees this review does. The food was greasy and horrible ontop of that, and the staff need to learn basic manners, 0 stars

Visited the princess tonight, with my partner and four children, this was the worse decision we had ever made, the chicken was pink on skewers, every thing was coated in batter and dripping fat. The special fried rice was rock hard, the king prawns in garlic was in soggy batter but not described on menu as being in batter, everything tasted the same. When I bought this to their attention her attitude was appalling, it was basically like it and lump it when I said I we would never be returning her response was well never mind. We went there tonight with our family for the help out eat out scheme for her not to give us the right amount of discount, 6 of us and received £41.00 off our bill. Overall this is was an awful experience

Amazing friendly staff who went out of their way to help. They offered a comprehensive allergy book to aid with allergies or dietary requirements. We had the vegan options and the food was lovely.

we order from you weekly and never have a problem. we pay card- you take our money and deliver no problem. we order tonight and a women calls us shouting abuse at us and calling us thick! wants to blame us for never being home when you deliver and you then swear at us. we are appalled by your service and refuse to use you again. Not only are you wrong and maybe had our address mixed up with someone else but to speak to ANYONE the way you did is sickening. we have recommended you to 3-4 other regular customers who will no longer be using your service. absolutely disgraceful. will be taking this further.

I have lived in crayford for 6 years. Been in need of a nice local chinese restaurant having experienced years of poor food. I was tired of travelling to bexleyheath for decent chinese food. God bless the day I decided to give this restaurant a chance. The service was amazing the food just as good. Restaurant spotless too which is always a bonus. Huge thanks. Will definitely return with more family!

My family and I went to this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We were made to feel very welcom and the restaurant was spotlessly clean. The food was excellent and plentiful and so delicous and staff were very careful to ask us about any allegies before we ordered. Throughout the meal we were checked to see if all was well and were informed about any plates/ serving dishes that were hot. Excellent evening would highly recommend.

Absolutely discussing food, we waited over 1 1/2 hours for delivery. I honestly wouldn't eat from there again even if you paid me. So disappointed.

The place looks quite sad and bleak from the outside but once you step inside it transforms to a pretty restaurant. The toilets are lovely and clean and the place is decorated nicely as well. I was very disappointed to see the portion of my meal as it resembled a light snack and i’m very slim. The portion was definitely not right for a £6 meal. Other than that the food was very tasty and the staff were nice as they asked me if i ate pork as they were preparing my food. If the portions were better this place would’ve gotten 5 stars from me.

We visited this restaurant on the way home from work when the A2 was a traffic jam. We were not expecting much as the restaurant is not very glamorous. There was only one lady serving and taking order s and she seemed a bit harassed but she was very sweet. What can I say we only ordered 3 dishes between the two of us as we were not overly hungry, the food arrived and both of the main dishes were lukewarm always a worry with rice as you never know whether it has been reheated and if it has it should be piping hot. The special fried rice was stodgy and tasted like a supermarket offering, the Schzuan beef was shown on the menu as 2 chillies hot, if that dish had ever seen a chilli ~I would be surprised. i did point out to the lady that I think she must have given us beef and mushroom as there was no heat in the dish at all ~(in both senses of the word) and she said the chillies were mixed in the sauce - NO they really were not! Needless to say we will not be visiting this place again any time soon and am glad that we did not spend too much. i have given the restaurant two stars but that was purely because the lady was very sweet.

This was our second visit, and it was just as good as the first. We had the all you can eat option, for £20.90 each and it was well worth it. The menu is varied and there was lots of choice for me (vegetarian). Even the vegetarian 'duck' was great. All of the food was tasty, well made and came out in good time. The lady running the show was so lovely, very helpful and friendly, even though she appeared to be the only person serving tables so must have had a busy evening. We will definitely be returning. We will definitely be coming back.

I changed my regular chinese takeaway after going there for years, although the same people running it I felt the quality of the food had dropped, and I tried the new princess garden, I've not looked back, very quick to get the food ready, very friendly girl on reception, and food fresh and good. Use it all the time now.

Staff were attentive, but unobtrusive. Ensure you're hungry when you visit, as food is freshly cooked to order,as and when you want it, until you can't eat anymore. Eg Entree, then Duck/Lamb wraps...! Justifiably, if you over order you are charged, and why not?

Sat down with 3 children 13 10 and 6 years before we started I was told 10 years was classed as a child so the waitress said 2 children when the bill came we was charged for all adults . When I questioned the waitress she was very rude don't go there and waste your money the food was terrible , and Overpriced 2 adults 3 kids 2 of them hardly ate £126 rubbish

The food is always good here but the all you can eat menu is extremely expensive especially if you don't eat a lot or when you come in really late so you don't have time to eat a lot.

Over the course of this year, we have had three meals with the New Princess restaurant. Two of these were large takeaways (in excess of £100 both times) and the other was a spur of the moment decision on a Sunday lunchtime.

Friendly, warm, relaxed atmosphere. Staff are super, helpful and polite. Food is amazing - among the best Chinese food I have had for a long time. Great choice, really well cooked and plenty of it.

Ate on a weekday evening and quiet, food good and freshly cooked but oh the wait. It seemed a case of coping with take away and eating in customers and it didn't work. Hate to think what impact a busy restaurant would have.

Excellent food. Staff were amazing. We took 25 children, with 10 staff. Had an amazing time! Staff couldn't do enough- food was amazing children loved it. Thank you so much. Will defiantly recommend!!

Ate here on Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised. Nice food and friendly staff. Will definitely be back! I do however agree that table cloths are needed!

Ordered a take away for the first time from this restaurant. With our order, specifically asked for curry sauce instead of sweet and sour.. An hour and 20 mins later, it arrived cold, and without the curry sauce. The chicken satay tasted like it had been out all week and being pregnant it was a chance I wasn't willing to take.. Will not be coming back

Nephews birthday and decided to visit New Princess Garden despite some recent poor comments. Visited on 28th September. The restaurant was very quite but the food and service were excellent! The portion sizes were amazing and we were guided on what food would complement our individual tastes! It seemed as though there was not anything that was a problem. Very tasty and would definitely recommend. At the end of the meal happy birthday was played with a small desert, lovely touch! Will definitely return!!

Ok if your on a jolly up and want to stuff your face with flavourless greasy Chinese to soak up booze. But if it's a meal you want don't bother service is awful and food is worse much worse. My dad didn't teach me much but he did say don't eat in a restaurant with no table cloths now I know why.

this is my go to place for take aways in Crayford. The staff are lovely and always smiling, the food is very good and they do vegan duck which is amazing for me because I really missed duck pancakes since going veggie. I understand that people are drawn to competing this to the old restaurant, but I think that it's a great restaurant as it is. I'd also like to add that this has a 5 star hygiene rating, which a lot of other restaurants in Crayford unfortunately don't have.

Mixed hors d'oeuvres and the crispy duck are always a winner, the beef with onions and ginger was awful though, not sure what kind of meat it was but nothing known to my expert palate...so disappointing and scary! The staff was very caring and served immediately. A great place for quiet dinner or groups. Been coming here for the past 10 years!

It's a shame this place has not been busier since it reopened. The staff are really nice and the food is just as good as when the last people had it. The mixed starter was a good size with plenty of chicken. Everything that came to the table was really nice and our waiter was so friendly and helpful making sure my lemonade was put in a little jug so I could make white wine spritzers . We will defiantly be back soon. Only reason we gave 4 star instead of 5 is just because it needs more people in to make a better atmosphere as it's such a big restaurant.

I have been here a couple of times and never been disappointed, the food is tasty and the service is good. The staff are really friendly and will even adjust the meal to suit your tastes. I like mine spicy so they put extra chilli in for me.My only issue (and I never noticed it on my last couple of visits) was that when I first wen in it was a bit smelly, not rotton food smelly, more like your old nans house smelly (you know what I mean)I was the only one in and it was also fairly early when I went in, but once the food cam out it was fine.Nice people, good food, i wish it was my local chinese take away

We came here after 3 failed attempts at other restaurants in Dartford and Bexleyheath. Our usual Chinese buffet had a party that had booked out the entire restaurant, leaving us somewhat unsure what to do. We tried the Chinese and noodle bar in Dartford that we've been to before, only to find that it had moved and is now takeaway only. Then on to the Mandarin, which demands up front payment and does not accept card, this was enough for me ti decide against it. Finally, we stumbles upon this restaurant, from the outside, it is mediocre, nothing special, not particularly inviting, but desperate as we were, we thought we'd give it a go. We were pleasantly surprised, this restaurant was well decorated inside, the staff were very friendly and could not do enough to make us feel welcome. We had an all you can eat buffet, all of which was fantastic. The only negative was the selection of lager, this only affected myself, the other 3 were perfectly happy with their options. With an offering of draught lager, this place would be perfect, however, without it, I'd definitely still go back. There plenty of bottled lager and alcoholic beverages to choose from.

My partner and I enjoy going out to dinner and have tried a whole range of restaurants similar to this. Being a Thursday, the restaurant wasn't very busy but despite having only one lady serving, the service was fantastic. The wait for food was perfect, not too long and more importantly not too short to make you question the freshness and preparation that had gone into your dish! You were almost encouraged to continue ordering which was quite novel and they wanted to ensure you enjoyed each dish. Great choice, lovely food, warm plates, excellent service - an all round great experience.

We visited this restaurant last night, there was a large party of us, at the start of the evening we asked the staff if we should order a few dishes for the younger members of the family, and was told don't worry they could be charged at the child's rate on all you can eat as they wouldn't eat much. When we received the bill at the end of the night they had charged 1 as an adult, so when we queried this, the manager became very rude , and started shouting, which was a shame as up to this point we had enjoyed the evening, we still paid bill in full and left a tip as we were not trying to get money off just questioning what was agreed at the start of the night. We will not be returning to this restaurant again which is a shame as we have been here a few times.

Bought a takeaway at new princess garden,, it blew me away,, the food was amazing ,, the satay chicken was large and tasted great ,, the food really surprise me,, I will go again

ordered a take away from here as heard good things about it when it was previously opened. the chicken was processed watery rubber, the sauce was just water and was not chilli at all and my friends satay chicken didn't have a hint of peanut in it at all. never again!

Right here we go,New management same great food with a extensive menu catering for all.Staff are very polite and very helpful,Restaurant very clean and service swift.Definitely bring your family to crayford and eat here.Whole family went away smiling and full.

Not sure what was going on in here. I ordered the Kung Po Chilli Chicken and the chicken was tasteless and the sauce was like watered down condensed soup. I told the waiter I didnt like it and he just said "oh dear sorry about that" and walked away!? I have had many chinese meals in the area and this is the worst I have ever tasted. Bit of a pity and the ambiance was awful. What is sad is that the area that the restaurant is in is in a very sad state of repair - not helped by the falling down ruins of a vacated apartment block behind and the sad state of most of the shop fronts along the Parade. The waitress who took over waiting at our table was quite nice though and seemed a bit more switched on than the young waiter. Am thinking he must be knew as he had no clue really. All in all very disappointing. The Beef chow main was chewy. They got the chicken balls right though but the rice was dry and uninteresting too. Sorry but its a thumbs down from me.

This is the best food that I have tasted in a long time the staff are very friendly and do not rush you I will be going back again and again

Visited this restaurant for the first time, after a recommendation from a friend, with three other people.Friendly greeting and were seated straight away (we booked before hand, and its a good job we did because the restaurant was packed when we arrived).Staff were quick to take our drink and starter orders, food arrived and was lovely!! Had mixed hors d'oeuvres, barbecued ribs, smoked chicken, all of it tasted great. Had to wait a little while to order our mains, but again food was tasty when it arrived. We were in the restaurant until around closing time, but there was no pressure to leave and we even got some chocolates before we left.Food is great, wide choice of dishes, friendly staff, will definitely be visiting again

New princess garden - new owners, a lot to live up to from previous owner. Revisited this restaurant on a busy Saturday evening as a group of 11, but unfortunately wasn't impressed with the service. After waiting 2 1/2 hours & still not had our main course, 2 members of our party had to leave for other commitments. When finally our main course started to arrive after ordering 40 minutes previously, there were dishes we hadn't ordered but more annoyingly it came in dribs and drabs over 30 minutes, meaning the group couldn't eat together & some dishes were cold before accompanying dishes arrived. Waiters/waitresses were very disorganised, no service for long periods of time, then two would come to ask the same question one after the other!! Just no communication!! Although when food arrived it was average quality. Shame, as previous owner had this restaurant running far smoother with such efficiency and food choice & quality were far superior to now. A very hard act to follow, but requires a lot more hard work to even come close. Won't be hurrying back to this restaurant for a very long time.

This is the third time we have visit this place since it has reopened, the food has never let us down and the service is always prompt and very helpful. The restaurant is clean, not completely packed now so easily to get a table which is great!!!! I hope this place is here to stay as the food and service is great!!

Saw that the restaurant was open again so we thought we would give it a go. Following the footsteps of the old Princess Garden, it's set price 'eat as much as you want' buffet, but with the food being cooked as ordered rather than being left out pre done. Not busy yet as they haven't advertised but want to build trade up slowly. Food was good, wine reasonably priced, will definately revisit.

Last reviewer unlikely to have visited this restaurant in November 2014 as it closed back in August/September 2013!!

To start off, the decor is grim to say the least, in need of a serious refurb. The music man, Hokey cokey & Happy birthday on repeat- despite there being only 2 couples in the whole restaurant- clearly not celebrating a birthday. Food was below par- in fact tasted like washing up liquid! Miserable staff and not exactly value for money considering the quality of food- couldn't wait to get out.

We've been coming here since the 2nd day it opened (11 years ago) and have always had great times and great food and great service from Sam and his staff. We introduced many friends to the restaurant over the years who also return for more. However it is now the end of an era as Sam bids farewell as he heads back to Hong Kong (next year). We moved away 2 years ago but returned for one last meal and it was as good as it ever was.Good luck Sam and hopefully the new owners will be as good

We have been to many chinese restaurants and takeaways over the years, all around the southeast and coastal towns near family. Without a doubt, this is the best chinese I have ever had! As an all you can eat, you order as many dishes as you want and they will be cooked fresh and served immediately. Sure, there isn't usually music or anything, but I go to eat and chatwith family and friends. The owner is fantastic, very happy and genuine. Service is quick and waitresses are so friendly from the minute they open the door to you! Would definitely highly recommend, without a doubt. We don't go anywhere else!

The restaurant lacks atmosphere but the all you can eat for £18 is very good . Food top quality . Will be coming back for sure .

This is fantastic value, it is a buffet but not one of those "having it hanging around in big dishes over candle heaters" type. Everything is freshly cooked, the quality of the ingredients are top class, you can keep ordering until you are bursting .....the main meals are small, but it doesn't matter as you can order another one.... nothing worse than wastage....especially as you can't take it home, which at their prices is fair enough. Well done good job you aren't too near where we live !

We recently went to the Princess Garden in Crayford (our first visit), with friends, and had a lovely time. This is a buffet restaurant, but instead of the food being all being laid out, you order off the menu.There was such alot of choice and you can order what ever you want, if you only want starters you can have it, if you want main courses order as many as you like. The portions are not huge but they are big enough.The staff were very friendly and helpful, if you were not sure what the dishes were they would explain everything. We found it a pleasant relaxing evening as you were not rushed along with dishes being bought out to you quickly, you had time to enjoy the food.We would certainly return and recommend this restaurant to others. It is best to book as it was quite busy when we were there.

We used to live near this restaurant and visited it monthly at least, from when it opened and had many happy family celebrations there. Have not visited for 6 years and could not believe the change. No greeting by the manager/head waiter, no nice tablecloths now replaced with black plastic cloths, no finger bowls, portions the size of tapas dishes, soggy stodgy rice, undercooked veg in insipid sauce.....could go on. No ambience or friendly staff, no hot towels or even a sweet with the bill. Nothing, and on top of it all the restaurant smelt musty!
