New Ming in Bexley

Ordered mixed vegetable Singapore vermicelli there was a large piece of chicken and a large chicken skin in it. Put me off my whole meal

The food so so. The service was okay. However, at 9.30pm the lady (the boss?) opened the front door as a hint (they close at 10) and as it's not summer season anymore we had to put our coats round our shoulders.. When we asked her to close it she seemed to not take any notice for a good 20 minutes till we were paying and this will be my main memory of the place!

Ordered at 18:28, estimated delivery 19:10-19:30, called at 19:40 to ask for an update, was told it hadn't even been prepped and would be 20 mins, after constant chasing eventually delivered at 20.35. The staff on the phone were polite and apologetic, but food was late. when it arrived the food was oily, pancake roll was a greasy wrap, and "chicken Chinese style" was just a pot of chicken covered in garlic and gravy. I appreciate that takeaways can be busy, particularly on a weekend, but if you cannot fulfil your orders then adjust your waiting times accordingly or don't accept the order at all. The food was clearly rushed and disappointing. Not worth the wait. Won't be using again. Avoid.

No salty, just few onions... I will order again.

We been to this restaurant a good few times and I can honestly say this is the best buffet I've been to I a while. Food is so tasty and fresh with a wide variety of dishes. The service is great and food comes out quickly. I've recommended this place to my friends and family and they all love this restaurant.

It's rare for me not to make a five-star rating, the food was very good,Wine selection was very limited, the service was fast, but our waitress was a bit grumpy, the restaurant was clean with good decor and the tables were laid nicely but I would probably only return for convenience.

Worst experience. The staff behaviour was very rude and could clearly discrimination based on our ethnicity as they were behaving fine with other people. First the staff they only take cash and that too in a rude way as if they don’t want us to come in. Nobody came to us to take the order. We ourselves went to the desk and gave our order. This was totally unjustified. Would never recommend anyone to come here and have this worst experience in their life.

We had the buffet option which was circa £20 each. Waste of money Spare ribs was like sucking on concrete Squid had funky taste. Tough as leather Duck was super dry Very disappointing This was my wife’s 50th To top off I was going to try chicken curry How could that go wrong Well it didn’t turn up after 20 minutes. Joke Decided to give up. Asked for bill. Let them know we weren’t happy. All of the was clearly ignored when handed the full bill by same lady She said would need to complain to manager Came back with initially 15 off bill Which would have been kind off ok Then she said 5 Absolute shambles. Will never go there again. Not happy

restaurant forgot about my order until I chased up. Chased up a second time after they readjusted ETA and was still late. food was not hot enough has the delivery person didn't even use a keep warm bag. food was subpar. fried rice didn't have any soy sauce and had 3 peas in a large portion of rice. very poor.

The rice, chicken and crispy beef was delicious, unfortunately the Thai style beef dish wasn't very nice.

Second time they have let us down, won’t get another chance. New Year had a booking for 8 including 2 children booked early because of children, they phoned and asked us to go an hour later which we couldn’t do. Tonight we booked for 4, at 7:30 got there on time ordered drinks that they got wrong. We sat there for 25 minutes and no one came to take our food order, yet other people came in after us and they ordered and had food brought out. In the end we paid for our drinks and left, not enough staff to serve a full restaurant, they need to spend a bit more and employ more staff on busy nights. Needless to say we won’t be going back.

The honey glazed lamb chops were very very tough , two of which were all bones , the Mongolian lamb was full of fat and dry and chewy , duck noodles were nice however overall the meal was very disappointing and was not worth the money , it’s a shame as have eaten at this restaurant a few times so standards were well below for them , I won’t order take away again for certain , a huge waste of money

Food is always great! They do the best satay sauce in London and I could eat their chicken and sweetcorn soup all day, everyday! The staff are also lovely!

I have ordered food from this disgraceful restaurant via Uber eats, the food was absolutely vile! The crispy aromatic duck had already been shredded and looks chewed up, the salt and pepper prawns were battered with the shell still on them and the legs included…. The chicken balls had been deep fried until they were burnt and soggy the vermicelli we ordered came wrong was the complete opposite we asked for…. And when I had contacted the restaurant the receptionists response was colder than the food that came, very I’ll manored, unhelpful and unresponsive to any complaints I had

Delicious food served in reasonable portions, buffet was lovely, perfect for small groups, staff are very professional and friendly, food is served within a reasonably amount of time 😊

Gone downhill. Been coming for over 20 years on and off - service is now really bad. Quick to bring you wine and your bill but when you ask for a glass of water the request gets ignored despite asking no less than 6 times! They also don’t bring food items that you have made a point of ordering. Only 2 staff serving the whole restaurant on a busy Sunday afternoon, my time with New Ming is done unfortunately 😞

Food was cold and didn’t have much flavour. Disappointed for the amount of money that we spent got nothing free. Sorry but we will not order for them again

Generous portions of hot and sour soup and Singapore vermicelli noodles. Both dishes bland sadly, lacking in seasoning for the soup and curry powder and protein in the noodles. Noodle / protein ratio was approx 90/10 sadly. I’ve had better .

Had a deliver. Did really like this restaurant only ever had delivery but had a meal on friday. Very very disappointed. Arrived quickly which was a suprise but the food was tasteless, we normal love the following Chefs rice, crispy chilli beef, vermicelli, chicken noodles, spring rolls and s&s chicken ball. Plus a curry sauce. We had a guest. Non of use liked it. We normal order at a weekend, but this was friday so dont know if different chef. The website was different to the last time I ordered so may of changed hand.

Another disappointment, 2nd bad meal from New Ming never again. Used to love this place but quality has deteriorated and price increases

Spent a lot of money no prawn crackers put in a standard in all Chinese restaurants. Food was poor gone downhill a lot

The food wasn’t very nice. Has crispy duck there was no crispy it was a greasy fat and hardly any meat. Put in the air fryer to try crisp it up. I won’t order again

Booked a table of 12 for my daughters birthday. We were shown to our table promptly & greeted nicely by Vicky but that’s where it went down hill… Another waitress came over & took our drinks order, we waited quite a while for the drinks to arrive & hadn’t been given any menu. Once the drinks arrived we still hadn’t been given a menu & had to ask for one. We then had to find someone to take our food order. The 2 waitress’ were rude & miserable. Food was bought out in dribs & drabs, the waitress would bang thru us to get to the middle of table & threw down the food. Food was mediocre with the prawns battered with the shells on…! We then had to chase the waitress for our next course & between 12 of us we were presented with 1 duck leg…it looked like it had just been brought from another table. Plates were cleared & more food was served but it was smashed down again & as the evening went the waitress got more & more miserable. When we had finished the main course she asked us what was wrong with 3 chicken balls that were left & picked one up, squeezing it. We hadn’t actually ordered them. She then took them to another table…the left over food is definitely served again to the next table. Absolutely shocking. We asked for the bill which they wanted £30 tip!! Absolute joke!! If it hadn’t of been for vicky & her infectious smile & service then the whole evening would have been a total disaster. I would NOT recommend this restaurant & will never return!

Second time ordering from New Ming, chips were undercooked and soggy. Just didn’t seem as nice as the first time I tried there despite ordering practically the same. For the price I would expect higher quality as it’s not a cheap takeaway

I do not normally leave reviews, but this experience has to be told. The New Ming. The delivery was late and I had to call them twice to enquire about the order. This was my first time ordering from them and Friday's tend to be our take out day. We had 2 soups one hot and sour and to be fair this was nice but the crab soup was made of crabs sticks which is not crab, and at 4.25 I expect CRAB. The Roast Duck in Plum Sauce was bland and had no flavour, could have been pork and the ribs were not hot.I wanted to have fish and chips but my husband was no, let's have Chinese. I decided to try something new, somewhere we had not ordered from before, never again. AVOID this place.

Driver did not drive close enough to Street to deliver. Had to meet 5 mins walk away.

The new ming Chinese restaurant has become one of my favourite Chinese places to eat! It's an all you can eat for £20! Staff are friendly and the food is out of this world, you will leave there stunned and very full! If your in the welling area you must try!

Food turned up very quickly, too quick as it turned out. They sent the wrong food, had it replaced which took over 30mins. Pad thai was bland and the dim sum was inedible, slimey, over cooked and tasted dreadful; ended up in the bin.

Great food when we eventually got it, more staff are needed to make the experience better. People were walking out because of the wait for food.

Always order from here, spent just under £50 and i asked if i could have a free drink or free prawn crackers and i did. Always arrive on time or early, never had a problem with with place.

Literally the best Chinese food I’ve had in a while. The mussels in black bean sauce are so yummy and addictive!! The steamed duck rolls are yummy and the house special fried rice is so good. Highly recommend. Staff was nice and friendly. I just ate so much food from there and I’m so happy omg

Great tasting food passion obviously put into the food delivered so hot it was steaming thankyou and apologies to the driver as dogs scared him.

Always order from here. Previous order was missing an item, rang them & the lady said to let them know next time i order so i could receive a free bottle of drink and some prawn crackers. I let them know and the food arrived quick and tasted amazing as usual. Mistakes can happen but by offering something simple as a regular customer, very happy! Fully recommend this place!

Unfortunately,I ordered crispy King prawn rolls and they gave me chicken rolls ,be careful they can trick you easily.The difference between chicken and prawn is huge.I belive they didn't expect to notice it .

Surprisingly fast delivery time, less than 30mins. Delivery driver was courteous. Delightful meal with quite large portions, not too spicy, just right. I will definitely recommend to friends and everyone..

All round amazing food, great atmosphere, food very good value if you get all you can eat. Food is always cooked fresh and hot, 2 shots for £7 is very pricey. The staff are Lovley but a bit slow, sometime forgetful other than that cannot fault it. Will deffo be back again. Ps love the air conditioning!

I've been using this restaurants service for many years, but it's fair to say that its inconsistencies still continue. I usually have the food delivered & the meals are rarely what i order. This occasion was no exception. I ordered three dishes. This time was a particular disappointment. I ordered mince pork & minced chicken "wrapped in lettiuce". I asked not to include baby sweet corn or bean shoots. The presentation was not as described. It arrived simply roughly chopped accompanied with half an iceberg lettuce in a separate bag! It was loaded with baby sweet corn & bean shoots. The next dish was Char Sui. This was accompanied with too much barbeque sauce, which could easily have come from a jar. The pork was of average quality. The third dish was beef fried noodles. I asked for the noodles to be crispy on the outside, but was all a stodgy mush with mushrooms that were discoloured & not even Chinese straw mushrooms. These mushrooms were obviously sourced from a local supermarket & near their consumption date, & of course, even more baby sweet corn & bean shoots! Living in the borough of Bexley all my life I'm still to find a repitable Chinese restaurant of the highest quality. I'm astonished to say that I have not found a Chinese restaurant in the London borough of bexley that sells crispy pork, Choi sum & straw mushrooms. It's such a shame, but the nearest authentic Chinese food is in London's Chinatown. They can do it, so why can't the other Chinese restaurants do it too?

Mixed reviews on this place, but we had a great experience. All the food was spot on, tried the mongolian lamb, and the thai pineapple rice and they were both lovely. Everything else we ordered was got and fresh and tasted great. Service with a smile, very happy customers

The buffet menu had alot of choice and the food was good and the waitress helped with our choices. Fresh, tasty and hot and cooked as requested..ie asked for only 2 chicken balls, another dish more spicy etc. We didn't over order and in fact I think they thought we hadn't ordered enough but we had plenty and finished what we had. So no unnecessary food waste. Pretty good and tasty fresh food but overall interior and menus need an update. The menus are sticky and I didn't really want to touch them. The staff were friendly but the buffet menu was a bit confusing and the lady was a bit pushy with drinks but I know that's where they make their money so don't blame them and it was just me and a young son. I had a draught small glass of cobra and it was cold and as expected. We left happy and I thought the price was great for what we had. Will definitely return.

This used to be my favourite Chinese Restaurant, I loved the food, tonight has put me off for life! I made a small order of Special Fried Rice, Satay Beef on Skewer, curry sauce and prawn crackers, I watch intently at their progress as it's not very easy to park in the street that I currently live in, with 27 minutes on their countdown clock to go I received a call from someone that did not have good English talking about the delivery address, I did attempt to put him right ut had to call the restaurant to confirm, it did eventually turn up, even though I had to input a delivery address and a billing address when I ordered, imagine my dismay when my 'Special Fried Rice' wasn't very special at all! (see photo) it would appear that my old address was still on their system but I got something that I wouldn't have ordered, even now their system shows that my meal is still being prepared, this is such a shame as I loved this restaurant previously both eating in and for delivery, never again

Ordered at 7, got at 820! App said food was delivered and it wasn’t, so rang up… told it was on its way, 15 minutes later I rang again, and they said “on way” then hung up on me! Food was bland, Luke warm and and not to standard of nearly an hour and half wait on a Tuesday night… not even a bag of prawn crackers

Visited for Valentine’s Day with a toddler and I just couldn’t fault the food or the service. I don’t get the bad reviews on here! Every server was so polite and helpful, food was quick which was useful with a baby. So reasonable in terms of value for money. Will be back!

The chicken and black bean hardly had any sauce and wasn’t strong in flavour at all. Tasted really watered down. The vegetable Panang curry was basically just large pieces of slice carrot and broccoli, alright flavour but again didn’t have much sauce. Might as well just get an m&s Chinese as it’s better and half the price

We ordered special fried rice and asked for no shrimps as I’m allergic to them but when we got the rice there was lots of shrimps in it so I couldn’t eat it the soup was nice until I found a piece of plastic in it that was from the lid

Hot and delicious, took a chance as my usual place had a minimum order of £25, didn’t want that much food! However chose these guys and wasn’t disappointed

We were missing items so have still NOT eaten the rest as we are STILL waiting for part of the order to be delivered!! Most of our order is spoiling in the oven. My daughter rang New Ming and the bloke was uninterested. She had to tell them to send it out, no offer to do so on their part. Ordered at 7pm. Delivery was supposed to be 7.30-7.50. First part came at 7.50, the rest of the order arrived at 8.30 . Won't be using again.

Delivered really nice food 1 item was wrong but they sorted it out straight away and sent a replacement best Chinese around !!!
